General | Posted 9 years agoFor a little while I used to make journals inviting people to post their refs and whatever for a chance of getting a free sketch. This was an attempt to get noticed and potentially having more people commission me.

Still, I'm gonna give it another shot. Not because I expect different results, but because I haven't been uploading anything to this site recently; and I have no personal art to show off here.

General | Posted 9 years agoDoes it bother you when people constantly ask you for translations? When I say constantly I mean like, one per day. Like "oo, how do you say X?" "What's the title of this song mean?" "Is x like saying y?" You know. Stuff like that. I'm bilingual myself and I still couldn't tell you, since nobody ever needs me to say anything in Spanish. I just like pestering people who know Japanese 'cause I'm a huge fag and I wanna know just how frustrating it usually is to most people.
GTA Online
General | Posted 9 years agoI made a journal on January asking if people still play L4D2 (which resulted in some people adding me on Steam never to speak to me again) and now I'm curious about GTA V. Like, I know it's still popular and all, but does anyone have a group of worthwhile players here?
Now, I don't mean to ask for a really elitist "clan" (ugh) or anything like that. The thing about GTA Online is that basically a retard magnet. It makes it very, very hard for me to find people who aren't bigots, hackers, morons or underage. What I'm trying to ask here is the following: Do you know anyone who has this game on PC and isn't overall trash? 'cause let me tell you, I'd love to play this game online for once. It's just that all of my friends are poor and don't have the game. Hell, I don't think they (understandably) even like GTA to begin with.
It's not like I haven't tried being social, either. I actually went and tried joining some actual crews in the Rockstar site. That is, the crews that DIDN'T have marijuana symbols and IGN all over. I actually went for the more humble crews with people with potentially similar interests to mine. As expected, they were all dead as shit and no-one's ever around. Bottom line: I ran out of options about it and now I'm making this journal that probably won't be read by anyone anyways,
Also if this results in me getting friend invites on Steam, fucking interact with me this time >:U

I made me a Stand

A metallic-looking hexagon-like "low-poli ring" that can be manifested out of thin air by it's user and placed in flat surfaces. The ring is 15 inches long and wide with a diameter of 2 inches. Since it's not a powerful stand, it can be seen by non-stand users. The stand gives it's user specific "videogame logic" abilities. These are:
Being able to reach into the hole in the ring (which is called the Inventory) which leads to what seems to be a pocket dimension with apparently infinite space used to store objects. "Items" stored this way seem to be stuck in time as well. Food and drink won't go bad no matter how long it's stored, for example. This inventory may only be accessed by the stand user and cannot be used to store sentient beings.
If the stand is used in a nearby surface while the user enters REM sleep (provided it's in a bed, couch or anything else that would be expected to be used for this purpose) any wounds and ailments the user had prior to their slumber are healed.
In addition to these benefits, the user loses their ability to use their eyes to see, even while the stand is not physically manifested. Their new source of vision is invisible and intangible, although it can't pass through walls and most other kinds of matter. It is very much comparable to a third person "camera" in a videogame. This may hinder their depth perception in some occasions, but could also be useful to broaden their view as it can be rotated around the user freely. It can't get more than 10 feet away from them, however.

General | Posted 10 years agoJust curious. I mean, I still play it with my friends, but I never actually tried playing online with like, strangers. Not on PC anyway. Most people say the Workshop is like the game's life support (which I agree with) but I don't even know the extent of modding allowed in the more popular servers.
TF2 Items as payment
General | Posted 10 years agoHas anyone ever considered this? Like, does anyone do that in FA? Pay artists with TF2 items? 'Cause I heard of it happening before. I mean, it sounds reasonable to me if all the digital money you have is in your steam wallet, but no-one's ever actually suggested this to me directly.

General | Posted 10 years agoFrom now on (if possible, anyway) I'll be giving out one free picture every Friday to help promote the profile and whatnot. I'll make a journal every Thursday (again, if I'm available) to gather the refs and such. I'll make the rules up as I go, but the gist of it is that I won't be coloring these, I won't do more than one character and I'll keep things PG.
Free art, commissions and stuff
General | Posted 10 years agoLately I've noticed I've been doing less and less commissions for people online. I mean, I don't blame them. I rarely come up with something to draw for myself, so it's not like everyone gets to see art from me daily. The reason I'm making this journal isn't to complain or beg or hell, not even to vent. To be honest, I think I prefer to draw other people's characters rather than my own. Primarily because I don't really know what to do with my characters to begin with. I'm no writer or anything, so it's not like I'd be planing on making some visual novel or something. I just don't know what to do with them, so when I do draw them, they're just standing there like idiots. Maybe showing off their dumb clothes I designed or they're being guinea pigs for an experimental coloring style.
Going back to the commissions thing, I've been wondering; Would it be a good idea to just give art away for free but make it clear that I accept donations? I mean, I don't really NEED money. I'm completely transparent about this. The money I get from selling pictures in the internet doesn't go to the poor or the infirm. Hell, it's not even to feed me or my family. I just use it to buy videogames and shit. It's basically just there so I don't have to use my real, physical money for things that I don't actually need. The fact that I'm currently not getting many customers online is very much bearable, but if there's a way to keep me drawing at the very least for fun, I'd love to know.

General | Posted 11 years agoYou guys heard about Pokken Tournament? That fighting game that's a hybrid between Tekken and Pokemon? I think it's coming out next year for the Wii U and the arcades. Personally, I'm not too crazy about Pokemon, but I do like me some Tekken. What really interests me about this game is that it's being made by Namco BANDAI. You know, the guys who own DIGIMON? Yeah. I hope they're aware of the potential there. I don't wanna see some bullshit Naruto DLC's instead.

General | Posted 12 years agoI know nobody reads my journals unless they're about free art (can't blame them) but I'm gonna try this anyways. Do any of you nerds play fighting games occasionally? Like, most furries I talk to tend to only play Gmod stuff, Team Fortress 2 and League. That's...it! Most people I meet on Steam go "eeeew" when I bring up the subject. Granted, it -IS- Steam, so it only makes sense that I get a lot of PC-only gamers. Still, where would I find people from the FGC who wouldn't freak out and call me names when they notice I'm a disgusting furfag? :U
