I had a job offer but after being given the run around for about a week, I am no longer accepting the offer.
So while I continue looking for work, I am opening up for commissions.

Posted 3 months agoHi, I just wanted to reach out and thank everyone for the help, or for wishing us well, or for sharing my journal. It was actually a huge help.
Comms are resuming this weekend fully, it's been really hard to focus but all owed work is planned to be done by the end of June. I figured setting a hard deadline will make it easier for me to keep focus, quite a few are lined and ready for color, which I'm very excited about.
A ladder adopt auction is on the way. I went to the dentist the other day and I have a tooth that needs removed as well as some root canals done. I'm not in any pain, and I have insurance, but I would like to have a little extra funding for this specifically, I won't be able to get them all done at once, but it would be nice to be able to at least take care of the worst of the worst. (Curse you genetics)
This adopt is one I'm actually quite proud of, and I'm planning on a whole ton of art tiers for bids. If any other artists would like to donate some of their time and art, like what we did many moons ago for Rosie the bearded dragon please let me know!

Sister needs help

My dearest sister unfortunately lost one of her rats and, as many of you know, rats are very very social creatures and do best with a partner in crime.
So the younger baby, Howie, is struggling all by himself and really needs a sibling so he can perk back up. My sister is offering a massive sale on toyhouse, you may reach out to her at her journal here

I am quitting my job tomorrow. I cannot handle the burn out and toxic work environment any longer. I have manager in my official title, but I am not trusted as one. I think I will be done with vet med completely after this, I loved it but it doesn't make me happy anymore.
On a side note I will be revamping my comm sheet and hopefully taking some work on while I'm in between jobs. Ideally I'd like to get my piercing license and start my tattoo apprenticeship, but that's further down the line.
I hope this year is treating you much better than it is me.

Posted 7 months agoFigured it was time I made a bit of an update.
I'm still here, just been going through quite a bit in this past half a year or so.
Work is work, I have had a lot of responsibility unloaded onto me and so it cuts into a lot of my free time for art and other things outside of working. Ideally I'd love to get back into working on some art really soon, once I hire more people to work at the clinic, it'll be a lot easier to do so.
Taro, my sugar glider, passed away last month. He was almost ten years old, my lil guy. I miss him every day, but I recently got a tattoo of him on my arm so he'll be with me forever.
On another happier note,
and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary last weekend! It's insane how time flies, you know?
Also I'm still purging some characters that you can see in my toyhouse. I'm open to art and USD.

Though I may not have known Dragoneer personally, I am eternally grateful for FA and the work he put into it. I would be a no name artist if it wasn't for this site. I have met so many wonderful people throughout my years here, only connecting through artwork.
My heart hurts very much but it is also warmed by the sole fact that everyone is coming together, sharing stories and artwork about Neer. I have read many journals that have such nice, positive interactions that bring a smile to your face. You can tell that Neer had an immense amount of love for the fandom.
On top of being incredibly hurt that he is gone, I am also horribly angry that he had suffered for so long, unable to get answers despite trying to get treatment. Multiple days of extremely high fevers is insane and should be addressed appropriately and quickly, on top of his other symptoms as well, of course.
Please rest easy Neer, you will be greatly missed.

I spent the last week extremely sick with some awful bronchitis, which resulted in some nasty brain fog and an inability to draw or work in general.
I still have some symptoms but I'm slowly getting there, art is taking a bit longer than normal but it's okay! I'm plugging away at it.
Anyone have any good resolutions they're gonna try for this year?

Long story short I'm saving up for stuff for FWA next year since we're planning on making the drive down to see some friends. There's also a fursuit I would love to be able to make an offer on before someone else snaps them up too!
