First off I want to thank everyone who has claimed a slot for this year's Naughtyvember. It really means the world to us that you guys are interested in participating!

I'm steadily working through the couple that are already paid for, and will continue to do so on my days off.
That being said, I don't believe I'll be able to make it via the same deadlines I used to do, so I'm going to set the goal of having everything done before the end of November. This is due to my incredibly busy work schedule, and how I really only work on art between shifts and on days off.

But more importantly, art will be halted from tomorrow until Monday. For the first time in the nearly 8 years and I have been friends, he's coming up to spend a long weekend with and I. So I will not be working on art during his visit, or it will be super limited.

Also it's almost Halloween! Are you guys doing anything fun?

I have been plugging away at my queue quite a bit, I have one remaining commission to finish up on there, and then I will be posting all of it!
Work has been eating away a lot of my time but I have some PTO coming up this week that I'm going to use for art and to take a much needed vacation from the stress.

In terms of how things are going outside of work, I do have a pretty important announcement to make; which I had already made on twitter.
I will be placing Camille on the back burner until further notice. There will still be plenty of art and attention given to her, but I've noticed that as I've gotten older and changed, I've become closer to my sheep 'sona, Amaranth. So I'm planning on using her for a while. I'm hoping to open up a few trades after I finish my queue, as I definitely want to build up her gallery a bit. I'll make a journal when I'm ready to do so.

Got a few life updates and art updates for you all.
For one, I have...finally updated my queue, you can track your art progress there! I'm still doing a small overhaul of the set up for is but I'll outline the important things here.

For one, things that affect my current turnaround time being;

Work Schedule:
basically I'm a vet tech who works 10-11 hours a day. It used to be a solid 10 but now we're told that we can no longer leave just our closer in the hospital, so every night someone has to stay an extra hour or so during closing. Because of this, I don't get home until about 7:30ish some nights (I start my shift at 7:45am) which is fine in itself but gosh I'm so tired.


Laptop Issues:
I'm currently using my husband's laptop for art, until further notice. My laptop's power port needs to be replaced, which I just don't have the time to take care of. is a good bean and is more than happy to let me doodle on his lappy. <3 Once that gets fixed, I'll be able to go ahead and continue working on my own again (and finally be able to play genshin, I'm not allowed to on here u.u)

Even with these two things, I'm generally able to get a ton of work done, when he's at work and when I'm home, it goes pretty well!
On a side note, there are sometimes weeks like this past one that ended up putting me out of commission a little bit, so I'm a little more behind than I'd like to be on art, but it's still going at a steady pace.

A family member passed last week, around the beginning of the week, and the funeral was today. I was unable to attend due to work, time and distance. Thankfully my brother kept me updated and represented himself as well as me.

On top of that, I was recently attacked in the clinic by an unvaccinated cat, which almost warranted a trip to the ER, as well as put my right hand out of commission for a couple days. Today I'm finally able to fully close my hand without any pain at all. I was scratched up really bad but had no cat scratch fever, nor did any teeth make contact with my flesh, so no rabies risk. Please vaccinate your animals!

It has been a roller coaster of a week but I hope you're all well. Commissioners, thank you for your continued patience, I'm eager to hop back into art on friday, my next day off!!

The big moving day.
I just finished up cleaning out our bathroom and leaving it squeaky clean for my in-laws so they can't complain.
Last night we gave back my father-in-law's alcohol so of course he drank half a bottle of bourbon, and then let us know that we were pieces of shit for not telling him we were moving tomorrow.

Like, hmmm, maybe this is why you aren't getting the privilege of knowing where we're moving to? Or even being allowed to help???
Anyway, tomorrow is the big day, two of my coworkers are swinging by to help so we imagine we'll be done by the afternoon.

Gonna make a big dinner tomorrow night and cry my eyes out from exhaustion/stress, but it will be a happy time.
Hoping to post more after we settle in, I have a backlog of all kinds of art to post, some old commissions, trades, gifts, the like.
Also thinking of playing around with Camille's design some, fully getting her finished up and playing more into the wolpertinger part over just being a jackalope (read: wings? wings.)

We were approved for the apartment we wanted and we may even be able to move in the middle of March, which is sooner than expected. On top of that, the person who previously rented the unit we're getting has been there for a long time, and we're getting new floors/carpet in there since it's been so long.

I just wanted to thank everyone so much for keeping us in your thoughts, reaching out and supporting us. We are absolutely floored by everyone's generosity.

On a side note, my laptop is currently bricked but I have some art I would love to post. I may use my husband's laptop this weekend to get some art up on here.

Once we get settled in our new home I'm going to take more time to work on art since it will be much less stressful for us.

Hello.
I am currently running on three hours of sleep, BUT we have applied to a place for a home.
The problem now is getting approved and holding on until April when the vacancies are available.

My mother in law is doing everything in her power to keep us safe and comfortable, but for now we've elected to stay out of my father in law's way until he cools down. I was supposed to work tomorrow, but I'm so mentally, emotionally and physically exhausted that I believe I'm going to take the day to catch up on sleep. Which means I'll be set until Tuesday, which is when I'll go back.

This has honestly been a long time coming so it didn't necessarily come as a surprise, but it's still be extremely stressful for the both of us.
I will do my best to keep everyone update here. Thank you for your boosts, comments, or just keeping us in your thoughts. Our next step if we get settled will be to get our own working vehicle, but, baby steps.

Hello. I hate reaching out so suddenly but for the past four years, my husband and I have lived with his emotionally abusive father and push over of a mother. My home is no longer safe to live in, and we are desperately trying to find a room to stay in/apartment/whatever for however long. I work full-time at a vet clinic and he works at a liquor store. I'm terribly sorry for the silence, work has once again been incredibly busy. Thankfully I have a week off from work after a relatively traumatizing event that happened this past Thursday.
Honestly I have lost a good bit of motivation for art lately, and it makes me pretty sad. I don't think it helps that I've just been so unbelievably tired when I get home, coupled with a random illness I seemed to have picked up from work (not covid), I've just been extra tired.

I've also been thinking a lot about Naughtyvember and how sad it made me to not be able to host it this year. I definitely want to try to host a naughty art event soon, because it has always been something I've looked forward to throughout the year.

Hi all, hope you're well.
Now that our holiday rush is over, I'm back to working a decent schedule.

We have been having a ton of really strange cases at my work, and lots of foreign body surgeries in the past month or so. A friendly reminder to please watch your pups and kitties, and to make sure they don't get into things that they shouldn't be getting into.


That being said, I'm back to working on art for the next couple days, and I'm hoping to have updates for my contest winners really soon!! Thank you both for your patience.

Hey guys, hope you're doing well.
Just figured I'd give some updates about things going on in life.

I'm still working overtime at work, but we're getting three new hires, so after they're all trained up we should be in better shape at work. Keep your fingers crossed for me haha.

As for art stuff, I am slowly getting back into the swing of things, and I have some Collab adopts lined up with aphybreas coming soon. Lately it's been difficult to draw for a long time without my wrist getting sore, so it's going slow.

Another thing I wanted to address is the absence of Naughtyvember this year. I'm not sure if I'll have any time to do it but I'm coming up with a plan to incorporate the spirit of it and maybe take a few less slots so it's a bit less taxing on me. Once I figure out details I'll post another journal.

I'm looking to get a bear sona for myself, and a ram sona for my husband. You're welcome to enter as many times as you'd like.

-Any species of bear is fine, though I would prefer a moon bear or a polar bear
-Natural colors with a mix of a bright/unusual color is love
-My only real requirement is that she has a rosy pink color in her hair. It can be highlights or her whole head.
-My aesthetics range from 80s aesthetic, to hippie aesthetic, to witch aesthetic, I'm a bit all over the place but I love it!

-Any breed of ram is fine, as long as he has the classic curled horns

Idk about you guys, but I love designing characters.
The problem is that I am /awful/ at designing characters for myself!
So I was thinking of hosting a design contest for a bear sona for myself and a ram sona for my husband.
And I just wanted to throw out a quick interest check for that? I would be offering a ton of art for the two best in each category

It's time once again for me to open up a couple of wing-it pieces.
These are some of my favorite types of pieces to do! I wanted to try something new with them and do a couple song inspired pieces.

So what is a wing-it?
Wing-its are full body, full color pieces with relatively detailed backgrounds. Typically I ask for some details on the character and draw a scene that I think is fitting for the character.
The catch for these pieces is that I do not offer wips, all I ask is that you trust me!

Because I don't offer wips on these, they are a flat rate of $50 per character, which includes the coloring and background.
