Hello!
Work has been absolutely ridiculous this week.
We are down several people on medical leave and vacationing, which means that I am stuck working for a week straight (thursday to thursday), open to close (7:45am-6:30pm).
Needless to say I am very tired when I get home, and I usually eat, shower and sleep.
I have rough sketches completed for two of my comms, and I'm in the process of refining them to send over asap. Thankfully I have a long stretch of days off where I'll be able to throw on some music and go go go~

So I wanted to thank you all for your continued patience, especially my commissioners, and I don't want to leave you guys in the dark about anything. I know I give a 2 month estimated timeframe for commissions, but I am just as eager to work on them as you are to receive them!

Due to serious understaffing at my job, I no longer have a day off until Wednesday/Thursday.
Commissioners, I will be attempting to work on your art after I get off work, every day. I may be a little slow because of it, but I ask for your
continued patience, and I will get updates to you asap. Just wanting to be completely transparent about this, as my job is a bit exhausting
and a lot of times I just come home and crash.

so I'm going to give a tentative turnaround time of 2 weeks to 2 months.
That doesn't necessarily mean your commission will take the full 2 weeks+, but I like to be prepared in case more
emergencies happen at work. =)

How is everyone? I am currently working on my queue so I can take more commissions, in an effort to keep a consistent art schedule going!

We've had a massive emergency at work this week that resulted in two emergency surgeries (same dog) and just general aftercare for said dog, so I've been really busy. On top of that, we're currently preparing to welcome two new doctors to our hospital which will bring our total back up to five, so we'll be pretty busy!

How's everyone doing?

I am working on the last two ychs right now, I've been trying to find time between shifts to work on art, but I'm just so tired afterwards that I typically just eat dinner, shower and then crash. So thank you all for your patience!

BUT I'm looking to potentially open up for some colored sketches and fullshade art here soon, there's a figure I want to get so I'd like to make a little extra money so I can possibly grab him 👀

Things have been absolutely crazy since our nasty snowstorm, but my work has finally caught up with all our missed appointments. My hours are slowly getting back to a normal schedule.

Hope you're all staying safe and warm!

I am currently stuck in a snowstorm that has been going on for the past couple days, so I haven't been at work at all.
Truthfully I've been working so much overtime that it has been a nice change of pace, but I would love to go back to work now, I don't like sitting around at home this much.
There's a ton of ice and snow outside so chances are very likely that I also won't be working tomorrow, I know our hospital hasn't been actually open a few days this week too so, not much to be done there.

I am planning on opening a couple commissions here soon, I just have a few trade pieces to finish up because I don't want to put them off for too long (I already feel guilty, but hey I'm always exhausted from work so taking the time to make sure they come out good and not rushed is just as important!)
So thank you to those who are waiting, you all have been so patient and I appreciate you so much <3

Hi there. Sorry for general silence.
These past two weeks I've been working overtime, with another week of overtime this week as well (today and Wednesday are my only days off)

I wanted to open for comms this week but I don't believe I will be able to until I get a steady schedule going again.
It's honestly exhausting and I haven't had the energy or drive to draw lately, because on my off days I have other things I have to do (errands, chores, etc.)
So I don't get as much time for myself.

I may still open something quick like colored sketches but I'm unsure of when or if I will.
But I will post another journal update for that when I decide.

Anyway I hope you're all well, sorry this is a bit of a brief update!

I am off today and tomorrow so my goal is to get wips out to commissioners today and tomorrow!!
I only have a couple left in the queue so it shouldn't take me too long to get through them.
My initial plan was to reopen commissions on my off days this week but it seems like I won't be able to due to some schedule changes.
So I am going to tentatively be pushing the next opening to February, which would give me enough time to finish owed commissions and trades before reopening once more.
Work has been very busy lately so I'm typically too tired to do much drawing when I get home still. However I am still working to get everything complete in a mannerly time.
I may also work on Camille's new ref in between everything too, as it's going to be a massive one to accommodate for her two new forms as well as her winter/normal fur coat.


Anyway, I hope you're all well! It's almost the weekend!!

Hello!! It's finally time for me to open my commissions!
I am working on a couple things now but I've settled into a good pace finally.

This time around, and for the foreseeable future, I will be doing things a bit differently.
First, I'd like to note that this is not first come, first served. I will be posting a small form for you to fill out and either
comment, or note to me, and I will make my choices depending on what I feel I will be able to comfortably draw.

Why am I doing it this way?
I work varying days, very long shifts, and typically somewhere between 35-40 hours a week. This is to avoid burnout on my end, to ensure
you get a quality commission, and also if I make people wait too long I get super anxious!

This does not, however, mean I won't be willing to take on a challenge! Sometimes I see ideas I love so much that I can't help but attempt them, so if you're curious, please just ask!

Hello, just checking in!

Truthfully these past few days of work have been horrendous, but I am doing alright otherwise.
I was hoping to work on owed stuff this afternoon after my shift, but I am so emotionally/physically drained that I just can't even bring myself to do so.

So I'm going back to working on art on my days off. So this week that'll be Thurs-Sat.
I'll try to keep my trello updated with work days, and as always you can contact me with any questions.
Commissions will be opening after I get through this art/design trade I owe <3
This time around I will be taking pretty limited slots to avoid burnout, and I'll have to be kind of picky on how I do it so I'll be doing a form I think!

Just a continuation from the last journal~

I worked a full weekend and my legs hurt SO BAD sdcdkslcn
Yesterday I was super short of breath and it felt like there was a weight on my chest but today I felt a lot better.
I am off for the next three days so I will be completing the remaining Naughtycembers. I'm sorry I didn't draw this weekend but I was just so exhausted from work that I couldn't focus at all.

This journal is just to let you know that I am going back to work for the first time in three weeks today.
I really missed my coworkers so I'm very excited, but I'm also exhausted and aching due to fatigue.

Seeing as I'll be at work today and tomorrow, I just wanted to let you all know that my next couple Naughtycembers will be a little delayed as I readjust back to working my long shifts at the clinic, but I ensure they will all be done asap, and most definitely before the end of the month.

Hey there, thought I'd give an update to my situation.

I was supposed to return to work from my quarantine tomorrow, but unfortunately I started showing symptoms of having covid at the beginning of the week.
So on Wednesday I was tested and now I have to wait at least 3-5 days to find out if I am covid positive. From there we'll figure out if I can go back to work or have to quarantine again ugh.

I will continue to plug through Naughtycember stuff so long as the symptoms don't bother me! Really the hardest part is the general lack of focus that comes from not feeling well, but I've been faring okay so far!

I also have a character I'm gonna be finishing up today that....was going to be an adopt but I love her too much to do so, so I'll be keeping her and maybe making some special adopts to go along with her? We'll see!!

Hello all!
I'm going to keep this brief.

Today I went to work my typical 10 hour shift, got through the day fine to get an emergency call literal minutes before I am about to clock out.
One of my family members who stays with us has tested positive for covid-19.

After chatting with my boss on the phone after I left, we've determined that I am to take a two week paid leave from work to quarantine myself in order to not take any chances, and potentially get any of my coworkers sick.

What does this mean?
The positive:
More time for art, for sure. I will be continuing to work through this month's event and potentially take on additional commissions as well, since I'll have the time.

The negative:
There is now a very good chance that I may get covid myself and have a hard time working on things.

Thankfully I haven't shown any symptoms, so hopefully I'll be back to work again sooner rather than later.
