Ko here, with something that I've been thinking of doing with this group for a while, now.

Do you have an artwork you'd like to be featured here in our gallery? Submit it! Send a link to your piece in a note or leave it here in the journal, and I'll go ahead and repost it here to our group. Just want something faved to our group? You can request that, too. Just be sure to be clear on which you would like me to do in your comment/note. :)

I figure this would be a great way for some artists out there to get a bit more exposure. Plus, this group's gallery is looking a little bare, so we could do with a little more art coming in now and then.

Note: When posting an artwork here to the group, I'll be copy and pasting your description that you originally had on the piece to the resubmit for this gallery, as well as placing a link back to the original.

 -ko- here apologizing for the inactivity these past few months. I personally had been stranded without any sort of access to the internet there for a while. :) What a nice surprise to come back to find nearly FIFTY new followers!

I'll be making a point to check in on the group at least once a month from here on out, even if it's just to fave some art of the monstery sort. :)

Summer's over meaning it's time to go back to work for those who are still in school. Despite the new work schedule, it's finally Autumn. :) And with Autumn comes October, and with October comes my favourite holiday of the year...

Halloween.



Also, as of today, this group has been around for ONE YEAR. Thank you guys. I only expected the group to get maybe 100 members in the first year. Looks like we exceeded that mark by 40. :) Good to know there's lots of monsters [and fans of monsters] out there!

Sorry for not returning watches and getting back to everyone as fast as I should. Been busy as of late. But I recently got full time on the internet back so I was able to update. Welcome to all our new watchers and followers!

And onto even more important news, please welcome our new group admin  rowynn ! From here on out the two of us will be maintaining this account. Should the need arise for another admin, I'll think of electing one, but I'm pretty sure we can handle it all ourselves. ^^

Got a few people that were interested in signing up to be an admin so I figure I will allow people to do so.

Also, I ask that people who are over 18 only apply, as the mature filter is off on this account [it wasn't before, admittedly, which is why any monstery art that was marked mature wasn't faved. I just now turned it off because before I wanted to keep the group clean and for the general public, but a lot of monstrous art is marked mature. I decided to turn it off for that reason]. I don't want to get in trouble for giving the password to someone who would potentially abuse the group account to browse through adult artwork.

Once I pick the person(s), an official announcement/journal will be made, and I will basically set down guidelines for faving material and other admin duties.

I'll close sign ups in a couple of weeks. :)

I have been sort of neglecting this group. I check once every couple weeks or so, reply to various notes/comments, and fave artworks that have monstery content. But there is usually a lot to go through, and I don't have the time to check it on a regular basis [or I completely blank out, haha.]

Should I elect another admin just in case? If so, would anyone be interested in applying for the position?

The final day for entries into our mascot contest will be November 30th! All entries must be in on or before 11:59pm that night. :) That gives everyone well over a month to enter. Voting will commence on the first of December and last for about a week. People who entered will not able to vote for themselves to keep things fair.

Also, what will you be doing on All Hallows' Eve this year? Any special plans?

As some of you [or better yet, all of you] have noticed that we gained an entry toward a mascot for our group by the talented  vallhund ! I just wanted to raise awareness that entries are still being allowed toward a mascot, and once we get a solid number of entries [or a deadline is decided] a vote will be hosted. :) Once the votes are counted, a winner will be chosen and their art displayed as our featured submission, as well as special recognition in our profile. Keep in mind that we will not judge on the quality of the art, but rather by the originality, so don't be discouraged if something "looks better than yours".

I was thinking of making a deadline for entries, but as the group is still new, it would be a far off date as opposed to a close one, because we still have not made a name for ourselves. Any ideas as to a fair deadline date?

Welcome to our little group. It is still under construction as it is brand new, but I'm certain things will get up and running soon.

1. - We need a group mascot and an icon. If anyone is interested in designing either of them, comment here/note. I'll get back to you ASAP.

2. - I'd like to get the word out about this group, so if you have any monstery friends, feel free to send them our way! They don't have to be evil or dark monsters, they can just be undead, demons, ghouls, or anything relatively monstery! Or they can just be supporters/fans of monsters!

3. - If you have a submission you'd like us to display, please note with the link. I ask that you keep it to a general audience rating, as there are some people who cannot see mature/adult rated stuff. We want to display for everyone!
