Belated updates and all that: 51st journal
Posted 16 years agoBeen a long long time since I updated my journal. I been a busy busy busy dwaggie. I could write volumes of things that happened since my last but I mercifully be brief as possible to those few who are reading this. I don't want to be too boring.
Things at work are picking up again. We finally had a so-called slow period due to the low economy though I only had one short week as I had plenty of projects to do. But now it is getting crazy. We hired a bunch of the temps back and even some new people as we. The prospects are looking up for the rest of the year and beyond after getting a bleak outlook during August where our business was like half normal. It got so bad that our SEP (Simple Employee Plan) retirement was canceled for this year. That sucked sine it was 15% of our wage going into it. Also all raises are frozen this year.
But things could have been worse as our customers (and competitors) are not doing as well as us. One of our clients even had 90% downturn. Some of them had three rounds of layoffs too. We been steady since we as adding new customers just before the blunt of the recession took hold. What was to be a breakout year dropped just enough to keep things steady until August hit. Thankfully it was only that month as things are going up again. Looks like next year will explode. And since our competitors got weakened more than use, we are sitting pretty indeed.
Now onto my memoirs. As my few readers noticed, I haven't touch them in several months. I did plan on a short hiatus but it get like a cancer and lasting half a year. I want to get back to them and plan to once I am finished with my current project.
Some of you seen my 2D animations. This is something new for me as I did 3D videos previously (short clips many years ago). I'm having fun with it and largely happy with the results. Animating with GIMP not an easy thing to do as it is not geared for that but I think I am managing ok. I want to learn flash as it is better suited for this. If only I had more time and not so lazy.
Right at this moment, I am sitting at 660 watchers, just 6 more to hit 666. Once I get there, that I can set off my next phase of my plan of world domination. Muwhahahahaha. Oh wait, ignore that last comment.
Anyway, it would be cool to reach that point. It is fustration though as my number of watchers bounce up and down. Luckily the trend is upward though slow and goes in spurts. I hope to reach that goal before Halloween. Judging by the rate of climb, it is going to be close.
Another lofty milestone that approaches near is getting 15k views. Sitting less than 100 to got in fact. Lucky for my heart, that number can't go down, only up though often slow. So I am announcing a 15k pageview kiriban. If any of you spot that number, grab a screenshot. The winner(s) will get something special do be determined then. I suggest posting the screeenshot on Imagebin.org as FA doesn't like such screenshots posted despite having a screenshot category. They will delete it on sight.
One last thing for those that still reading this. I want to promote my IRC channels on FurNet IRC. IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat and is essentially the first chat service on the internet. You need a client like mIRC, Xchat, Pidgin, ChatZilla and many more. You can get more information on how to connect to FurNet by clicking on the chat link in the upper right.
Once you get on one of the FurNet servers, you can join one or both my channels there. The first one is #the_lair, a friendly place to chat and have some fun while making friends. The other, #bellyofthebeast, is also friendly but in a different way. Almost anything premitted there and can get quite scary and messy as well. Be aware of that when you take the plunge. Not a place for the faint of heart types. #the_lair better suited as it is a bit tamer. But still interesting stuff can and do happen there from time to time.
There, that should cover a good deal of what been happening here. I skip tons of stuff to keep this short but if are curious, I can go into more details. If and when I hit either of those milestones, I'll make another update and see if I can go into things further.

Finally an update. Got a few things to cover. 50th journal
Posted 16 years agoWow, I haven't updated my journal in well over a month. I been quite lax about that. So, for those that wondering what is new at the lair, I expanded my repertoire into writing. Not many noticed even though I posted 11 parts in 21 days. I been writing up a storm. This is a new area for me.
I participated in thousands of role plays (RP) on FurNet IRC the last couple of years but find full blown writing a story harder for me. But I have been writing like crazy, ten chapters and an intro in 21 days. The next chapter will be the climax of the first main story arc. I have a couple of more arcs to go through, getting even more dark with all the gory details. I wish I was a better writer.
Most of my story views is on Yiffstar, where I finally signed up. The ratio anywhere from five to one all the way to ten to one compared to Fur Affinity. I guess it is not all that surprising since YS is much more story oriented than FA. But I was hoping for more feedback (got none so far on my yiffy story). I recently gone over 600 watches but hardly any of you ever respond to my posts. I could use just about anything really to encourage me since I sorely lack motivation and tend to lose interest. My short attention span coupled with my laziness have left many project unfinished.
Which leads me to the question once again, is there any works in my galley (aside from the 3D stuff as my current computer lack the horsepower to do them) that any of you want to see completed? There is plenty of art in there to choose from. Got to be at least one favorite that you like to see done.
Ok, I am getting all these emails from someone asking to join Twitter (six emails so far all saying the exact same thing - ack! make that nine now). Since I don't have Twitter with no plans of adding it anytime soon and the return address just a standard boilerplate one, I have no way of replying to this person. So whoever you are, speak up as to who you be and why you are sending my tons of these requests. It is getting to be a flood. Otherwise I have assume it is a spambot and filter accordingly.
Ok, got that off my chest. Anyone remember that 12345 pageviews contest I ran a couple of months ago? Well, it turns out I had three winners. Instead of trying to see who got it first, I decided to incorporate all three in a drawing. I have a very rough sketch made and hope to get back to it eventually... like within a few centries at least. The three winner are Zoen (Zakassis on FA), Melbourne, and last stragger Bastian W (basti on FA). Sorry guys about my slowness, but I do plan to get to the drawing as soon as I can. At least I can add a little more to the sketch and post that.
One thing I am happy about is my second ICR channel on FurNet. The more extreme one #bellyofthebeast has creeped into double digits of the amount of people in there, usually twice than in my other slightly tamer channel #the_lair. I thought it was going to be the other way around . Oh well, that is goes it goes. Now if I can get a steady twenty active furs in there, then I'll be real happy. That is my goal to achieve so that I am reasonable assured the channel won't die easily. Right now I am trying hard to keep both channels going. Not easy I tell you. I wanted a nice friendly place where just about anything can happen.
Well, I'm cutting this short. I think I wrote plenty of stuff to for now. If only I can you all to talk. I'm not that scary, am I? I had one person told me that he was afraid to talk to me initially. I always though myself to be approachable. OH well, I don't bite... much. So open up and give me a chat.
Journal bump with some better news. 49th journal
Posted 16 years agoThat last journal was a real bummer. I'm focusing on some happier thoughts in this one. I'm very close on hitting that 12345 views kiriban. I'll in a few days (crosses fingers). So if you happen to catch it, shoot me a screenshot and I'll think up some sort of a prize, probably a request drawing or something. I suggest using Imagebin.org to post the picture instead of using FA (even though they have a screenshot section, go figure). Imagebin good for those quick stuff.
Well, I'm finally announcing my 'new' adult oriented channel on FurNet's irc server. I notice a lot of channels tend to focus on a single kink and sometimes drama breaks out if it strays into other categories. So I made my channel to encompass many different themes and fetishes without it being 'off topic'.
Quite a few people already visiting even though it is still fairly new. Lots of nasty role plays happened in there and I hope there be lots more. So without further ado, I present #bellyofthebeast on FurNet. Things can and do get very graphic in there, so you kids stay away... for away. Just about anything goes, wet, messy and dirty.
Now for you that thinks that channel is too extreme, I still have one I made previously that's tamer. Try it at #the_lair. Click on the chat button under Nav Links in the upper left corner of the FA page to get info on how to connect to FurNet.
Speaking of irc, I been doing tons of role playing sessions the last few days. It has been insane. I haven't done so much of it in a long long time. I even impregnated a herm dragoness. Seems that been happening a lot. I also done tons of vore. Gobbled 8 on Saturday alone and even had an orgy in my belly. Wild stuff. I even gained a couple of pets (I seem to be collecting these. They, um, follow me home, ok).
Oh, a mongoose drew some pictures of the RP session we had. Turned out really cute (well, I think so). I favorited it but here's the links for posterity http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2119170 and http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2119655 . Wet and messy, I love it.
Well, I could go on and on (as some of you know), but I'm cutting it short. Ask any questions you have. Don't be shy. I don't bite all that much as I prefer to swallow whole. And post any answers took. I need those badly.

I have bad news, had to put down my cat. 48th journal
Posted 16 years agoPoncho got hit by a car today. I took him to the vet but I knew he wasn't going to make it. His hind legs and tail was completely paralyzed and he was panting heavily. The vet confirms my fears as his spine was badly damaged as well with bad chest injuries. He was not going to recover from that so we had no choice but to euthanize him. Very very sad day.
I was in the room when the vet injected to drugs. He was out in a few seconds and gone. I'm not ashamed to say I shed a few tears. Rest in peace Poncho, rest in peace. you was a good feline and didn't deserve all this. (I had to wipe away some more tears writing that).
If it's not bad enough, the neighbor witness the two in the car stop, got out, and then laugh before driving away. My faith in people dropped down a few notches. To think that they might actually done it on purpose is just sickening.
He was such and awesome cat, very friendly too. I took a couple of photos of him here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1980178/ and http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1980191/ . How people can be so cruel is beyond me.
Well, I was actually planned to update my journal with better news but got this instead. I'm getting real close to that 12345 views kiriban but I'm not in much of a mood for it now. If someone happens to take a snapshot of it, I probably go ahead and draw a request.
I also going to put information about my new IRC channel on FurNet and the new videos and photos I posted on Xtube. I'll leave that for the next journal in a day or two when I feel better. Right now I'm not in a good mood and quite pissed off at the sad events.

The deal is on again. Plus comics and lots of stuff. 47th j
Posted 16 years agoThe graphic tablet I bought a couple of years ago is on sale once again. It's at http://www.dealhack.com/archives/20.....ch_usb_gr.html . For $40US, you get get a good 6x8 tablet. I love mine. Since it's a fraction of those bloated Wacoms, these Digipros are great to start off with. I even found a reviewer who like it better than a Wacom.
I seen some people complain about the battery in the pen part but I never noticed it. It weighs no more than a decent pen and the AAA battery lasts me a year.
Now a tablet won't turn you instantly in a great artist (I didn't that's for sure). But it will makes things like shading a much less than a pain than using a mouse. And it makes my line art a little less horrible to boot. The biggest thing I like about it is the pressure levels (512 in this case). That really helps me in my arts.
Oh, I found another tablet deal. This one I don't have any experience with but this one has 1024 levels. The page is here http://www.dealhack.com/archives/20.....dless_mou.html . But you have to be quick as today is the last day on this coupon.
In case if some of you haven't noticed, I did my first multi-panel comic page. I plan a two page mini-comic to start with and if I get interest and more ideas, I might do others. The ideas I got for the first came from conversations on FurNet IRC. The thought poured out as I bantered in the channel. If I continue with this (who knows), I probably get more material from there.
One thing I'm noticing the last few weeks is that I'm gaining a lot (for me) watchers. Twelve at this point. Could have been more but I lost a couple (probably after looking at the horrors lurking in my gallery). It almost average one a day now. madness. I seemed to start right when FA finally got the search up. So I'm thinking that where it is coming from. What weird is that I haven't been posting any porn in a long time and since my tame stuff hardly gets any views, it has to be from people finding my older stuff. Either that or someone is pimping me up mad. Whatever causing it, I hope it continues.
Speaking of older works, I have tons of unfinished stuff languishing in my gallery. I'm thinking of going back and start to complete them when I'm done with the mini-comic and a certain line art. If anyone has a favorite unfinished piece, speak up and I'll move it to the top of the list.
I'm slowly creeping toward 12,345 pageviews and I want to do something for the person who can screen capture it. Still plenty of time until them unless something massive happens. Just a heads up if I don't have the opportunity to post another journal.
Well, I think I plug my IRC channel on FurNet again. It been shrinking from its small size and I hope to pump it up. It's #the_lair there. Click on that chat button on the upper right to get more information on how to connect. Just about anything goes in #the_lair so watch your step. I'm working on another channel that will feature even more extreme stuff. I'm still fleshing it out so it's not open as of yet.
I got more stuff to blabber about but I think I have quite enough things to cover in this journal. I'll save it for the next (ain't you lucky).

Posted 17 years agoI been trying to put down this idea I have for a drawing. I done 6 concept sketches and can't seem to get it look anywhere near what I envisioned. Well, right after I posted the second set of sketches, I came across this http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1901197/ literary minutes after posting. Now only it is almost exactly what I wanted to do, it totally destroys mine feeble attempts. Now I feel like crap. Gah! It makes me want to give up. Why oh why can I get my ideas to look decent. I try so hard and it doesn't want to work.

See how hard I fail especially compared to wolf-mutt's version. Excuse me while I wallow in my sorrow.
At least my role playing sessions are doing good. Been getting more active on FurNet IRC. I seem to do decent enough there. And despite having completed hundreds (perhaps even in the thousands) of RP, I somehow manage to vary them enough. But it is getting harder keeping the variety up. Luckily a lot of new people been popping up lately so I don't have to worry too much if something repeats too closely from a previous session.
Sorry about the top part but I had to vent. I wanted that idea to blossom so bad and then just find that awesome drawing just took all the wind out of me. I like such a failure. Even the positive bits about my RPing is not helping much.

Two years already? Oh my. 45th journal
Posted 17 years agoTwo years ago is the day I may say that I lay here on FA and that's no pile of hay (ok ok, that was terrible). It's been two whole years since I joined here and it's been a good ride so far. To celebrate the magnanimous event, I drew a commentative picture of me carrying the celebration cake (still unfinished but I got it posted here http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1862602/ ). Of course my clumsy self tripped and in the process of dropping the said cake.
I hope to get the finished version of the drawing out by this weekend. Until then, gaze upon what I have and enjoy. I have an idea of an aftermath drawing showing what happened when I dropped the cake. I'm thinking along the lines of having the cake dumped on some unsuspecting person. The poor fellow steaming mad with the frosting covering the person's face with eyes protruding out. Plus candles ends up sticking out from the ears still lit. I think it'll be a funny concept. Alas, I probably won't be about to draw it though I might be able to eek out a sketch to show what I have in mind.
I'm going to leave it up to one of your to finish up that idea. Message me if any of you are interested in doing it. If I'm lucky enough to get multiple responses (I'll be lucky to get just one), maybe we could do a series of drawings from each responder. I doubt it'll happen but I can dream can I? Oh well.
I got a lot of positive responses when I first started with 3D models and test animations. Too bad RL issues flaired up and really killed my output. 2007 will rank among my worse year ever. It took me a long time even to do drawings again. I did restart my 3D stuff in 2008 but that ugly head RL business reemerged and put a damper on it before it got very far. But despite that, last year was a bit better than 2007. I'm hopping things will improve and get back on track this year.
I know a lot of my watchers (most I got when I did 3D arts) love to see me doing the animations again. My hope to get myself a decent computer (a quadcore if I can pull it off). Those animations were taking a painfully long time to render and they was only test shots. The things I plan will be much more complex. And I have lot and lots of ideas to flesh out.
I seen a lot of people mentioning that Fur Affinity ranking website (mostly to complain about it). I got curious and checked it out. I entered my name and it turns out that I'm in the top 5% (just barely). I thought I wouldn't make the top 10%. Well, it was interesting to know at any rate. The address is here if you are curious about the hoopla also http://superwailingbonus.com/farank/ .
So, there it is, two years and counting. And hopefully many many more. If anyone wants to get with me on that collaboration, get in touch of me. It'll be my first if it actually happens.

Tons of stuff. have a peek. 44th journal
Posted 17 years agoAbout time I updated this thing. So what been happening at the ol' dragon's lair? well, lots. Some good and some not so good.
For starters, my birthday last month on the 25th was a bust. I didn't get cake. One of my brother's birthday happens to fall a day after mine and we usually celebrate both on mine but this year it got pushed back to his and then pushed again to Turkey Day since he wanted to take the family out to eat. My mother usually fixes a huge Thanksgiving dinner but this year my brother had some cash due to his disability check finally arrived with back pay so he wanted to give her a rest this year. Well, he awoke that morning and a couple of his toes turned black (he has diabetes as well as other health conditions, hence the disability checks). My mom took him to the hospital and the doctors amputated the toes a few days later Needless to say the family outing was canceled. The hospital was selling some Thanksgiving dinners so my mom got a few of those. Not quite the same. At least the operation even good enough. Now if only my brother stop his smoking habit. That just makes the poor circulation worse.
And wouldn't you know it, the tilt mechanism in my car's steering broke loose. I had to limp it back home (it steered ok but I had to be careful for he tilt not to swing sideways). I went to the salvage yard last weekend and got one in good shape. Loose tilts seems to be very common and I had to look through several cars to get one that is tight. Luckily I found one that is rock solid. Wasn't hard to take out but putting it back in took a little finesse since I had to align the shaft all by myself. Took some wangling but I got it in there. A few other minor hiccups but not bad overall.
Remember when I smashed my finger on the garage door? Well, the fingernail got loose and finally came off. A new piece started growing under it though. It looks funny with a nail only covering a 3rd of the fingertip. It doesn't hurt though, just looks weird. I think it'll heal fully so I'm not worried about it.
As per usual, I didn't get any Christmas gifts. However, I did splurged on myself. My brother found a good deal on a a combo mill/Lathe machine off of Craig's List. I been looking for one for over 20 years but never came across a good deal or was gone before I got a chance at it. So I finally scarfed up the deal. I plan on all sorts of projects. Muwhahahaha! *lightning flashing behind the dragon.* Wait, disregard that. Anyway, here's an example of what I made on the mill at work http://www.flickr.com/photos/263372.....7607018337791/ . Now that I have a machine of my own, I hope to expand on that and do tons of things. *rubs his grubby paws together.*
Oh, I saw an interesting event. I was stopping at an intersection and a guy jumped out a few cars ahead of me with a gun drawn. He was pointing it at a Lincoln or Cadillac in front. The guy had a jacket with U.S. Marshals on the back. Must be some kind of drug bust. Another guy had a big shotgun on the other side and a third directed us around the scene. I must say that if there was a shootout, things could got messy as a lot of cars was in the area. *shrugs* It was interesting nonetheless.
I posted a watersport drawing and lost 5 watchers (gained 2 in the process). I would though people would know about the subjects I indulge in by now. I have like a dozen WS pics as well as a few vore ones so I lost all the watchers that's turned off by it (I do put warning thumbnails on the submissions). Oh well, that's how it goes.
I had someone complaining about my WIPs, which I post to get some feedback. I do wish I get more suggestions and improvements though. Those few I do get has been a huge help. I want to improve my arts. I know I need a lot more practice, but it's hard to get some in. Maybe I'll make more efforts toward that in the coming year.
Well, this should be the last journal of 2008. It has been much better than 2007, which was a horrible year for me. In fact, I'm still suffering from some of its aftereffects and would still have a dark cloud hanging over me well into 2009. Despite that, I hope next year will turn out better still. I plan to finally upgrade my computer and get back to rendering (something I'm sure you all love to see.) I know I said that last year but prospects are better of that actually happening now, barring anything drastic occurring that is. *crosses his fingers.*
Once again I want to promote my channel #the_lair on IRC FurNet. If you like to join, you'll need an IRC client like mIRC, Chatzilla or of the many others out there. FA has some information on how to connect through the Chat link in the upper left corner. If you still can't find your way to my channel, message me and I'll help the best I can. I'm hopping to eventually get around a nice 20 regulars or so before I feel comfortable with it. I'm still very much far away from that goal but perhaps 2009 would prove fruitful.
At any rate, I'm cutting it short. I have tons more but I don't want to bore you... too much. It's been insanely busy that it's nice to take a break, though short live as it may be. The it's back to the usual insanity.
Happy New Year!
Oh, I almost forgot. I'm going to hit 12345 views soon and I'm thinking doing a kiriban on it. So if any of you manage to get a screenshot of it, I'll see what I can do as a prize.

Day of Birth and other New News - 43rd Journal
Posted 17 years agoWell, it's my big four oh birthday today. 40 billion years of existance sure makes me feel old. *Creaks his ancient bones before putting down the box.* Ugh, that was one heavy box.
A bunch of stuff happened since my last journal. Still very much busy at work though at least I'm working on a project that's a change of pace. I'm building a nice tester rig. I'll look slick by the time I'm finished with it.
I also been feeling a bit under the weather the last week or so. I had 2 days with a slightly sore throat that thankfully didn't blow up to anything big. But I did develop c9iughing fits soon after that still plagues me though not as strong. I was coughing up huge storms. Now it barely knocks trees down.
I have a few other news like my brother spending the night at the hospital for blood infection. He's been in and out of the hospital several times due to various aliments mostly related to his diabetics. BTW, his birthday is tomorrow.
I'm happy that I finally burst through 520 watchers. It has been (teasingly) at 519 a few times and drop as much as 10. Then it shot up to 541 and so far remains stable. Too bad I barely got anyone to look at my non-porn posts. They garner less than 20 views and a couple struggled just to make 10. :-\ I though y car designs are spiffy. Oh well, seems the FAers want yiffy instead (yeah yeah, I know some of you hate the word yiff but I like it so there). *sticks out his tongue.*
I'm in a big non-porn kick right now (Except for RPs. I done tons of those). It'll be like another week or so before returning to the pr0ns. Maybe sooner but I doubt it. I got to finish those WIPs of mine too.
I don't want bore you all with the rest news so I'll end this with a kiss. *smooches*

Twist of Fate. 42nd Journal
Posted 17 years agoOw! Ow! Ow! I smashed my finger. It got caught between two panels as I closed the garage door. Hurt like hell and I though I broke something. Then it got numb at the very tip and I put is on ice. I felt the flesh actually flatten out (that was weird) and though I did some serious damage and would swell and bruise like crazy. But it did swell all that much. A little bleeding under the nail and a bit sore, but not all that bad as I can tell so far.
Good thing the door is sheet metal. If it was wood, I'm sure it would have been much worse. I want to look in the morning to see if there is a finger size dent there.
My brother got his disability checks and set up a bank account a month back. His kids came over to visit (he's divorced but it wasn't one of those nasty ones). He took them out to eat and get some gifts and suck for them. When tried to get cash from his account, he found that whatever agency that does child support payments locked his account. The irony is that he was trying to get the money for the very kids that the child support payments for. Almost took the food out of their mouths. Luckly he had enough cash to pay for the meal. Now he'll have to find out what happen as he was under the impression that child support was already taking their share from the checks. Sound like another one of those government red tape foul ups that they love to do.
I went to the company's Halloween party on Saturday. I wore what I had last year but added more flashing lights and a couple of glow sticks this year. I came as some sort of robot/cyborg thing with flashing LED lights and a few doodads made with some scrap parts from work along with a helmet and face mask from Goodwill. I left at almost 2am. I was able to sing one song before leaving.
Well, it's November and my birthday is fast approaching on the 25th. I usually don't get anything except some cake. 40 billion candles won't fit so it'll probably be those number candles again. I have to be careful and not blowing too hard or those candles goes flying off along with most of the cake again.
I'm trying to pick up my output but things are getting busy again at work. Actually, there be barely a letup all year. I could bore you with the detail but I'll just say my workload getting heavy. Just catching up with what I have is crazy enough.

Oh my...
Posted 17 years agoWow, I keep dropping watches. At least 6 since I posted those rimming WIPs (I did gain one, yay me). I'm assuming they got turned off by my recent subject matter (either that or my bad art in general). I thought my wachers know by now the fetish terrory I venture into at times, as if my watersport and vore pics didn't give them a clue. Even the couple of scat drawings didn't elicit this type of exodus. Sure I scared a few off before, but the volume and scope of this is troubling. Oh well, not going to change my stuff since it is what i want to draw. Besides, they ones surviving my onslaught are keepers.
Fortunately, my comments seems to pick up slightly. And frankly I rather have more comments than watchers at any rate. I almost reduced to start begging for them. Since I am trying to improve my art, any tidbit I can get my greedy paws on I cherish. Well, not quite to the point of my printing them out, frame and then hang on my wall, but you get the point.
I know a lot of you want to know when I'll done my infamous 3D stuff again. Well, I planned on geting a nice quad-core computer early this year to cut done on the insane rendering times. As some of you know, I ran more real life issues that threw my for a loop. Big setbacks that I'm still out in the clear. Happily, things are looking up and I plan on getting that upgrade soon. The titanium frame, laser eyes, nucl... oh wait, I mean the computer. Yeah, that's it. One day I'll have a decently modern computer.
For those that missed it from my last journal (as if anyone actually reads them), I have an IRC channel on FurNet that is getting rather bare. The name is #The_Lair there and just about anything goes. I'm always logged on (unless my computer crashed) but idle most of the time. I'm usually active at nights and especially the weekends. If you want to join and having trouble connecting there, give me a note or something and I see if I can help.
Again, to those I owe art, remind me who you are. I can get forgetful and needs the occational proding from time to time. Just keep the voltage down. Those burns takes a while to vanish.
I could go on and on but I think I flooded you all ears enough. *listens to the crickets chirping out in the audience.* Well, the crickets anyway.

Time for another update plus some new stuff. 40th journal
Posted 17 years agoNow is a good time to update this thing. I got some news since the last journal. My brother finally got some disability payments for his various medical conditions. He has been out of work for a long time (a year or so), so the payments helps. Especially since he owes me tons of money (mainly for stealing my stuff while he still was on drugs. I hope he doesn't drop back into such habits). He paid me just about all of it back with his first check, which contains the back pay. The monthly checks will be much smaller but still a nice chunk of dough. I just he keeps out of trouble.
On the insurance front, I got no news. Probably a good thing since every bit of news I get from those jokers turns out bad. I thinking of contacting my lawyer to see what, if anything, they done of late. I keep putting it off.
As most of you know, I recently blew past 10k pageviews and got over 500 watchers. I got the 10k drawing done (many flaws in it but I'll leaving it alone... for now) but still working on the 500th watcher drawing. Speaking of watchers, it gone up some and then stalled. I got around 10 more watchers but I lost the same amount. Once 3 dropped over 2 days. Oh well, I guess I scared them off as I have the tendency do.
But my biggest concern is not the number of watchers per se, but my comments I'm getting. I'm trying out GIMP (and it's nice for the most part) and really could use the feedback. I got more suggestion on FurNet IRC than on FA. :-\ And I made use of the precious few I do get (I would kiss all of you that helped but you probably don't want to get dragon slobber all over you... or do you?).
Speaking of slobber, I think I got the fluid effects down pat. Looks almost realistic, pretty close to what I got from my old 3d animations. My fur effects still quite suspect. I guess it's ok but far from what I want to achieve. I hope with lots of practice I'll reach my goal. If only I have more free time and I'm not so lazy.
Some of you may have noticed that I gone away with doing lineart one my latest works. Well, it's something I'm trying out since I suck at outlining. Plus it was tedious and eating up too much time. I feel the lineless method fits my shading style much better. I do like shading and like to devote more time to it, which I'm improving steadily upon in my opinion.
Another thing I'm devoting a lot of time in is my role playing (RP) on FurNet. The other day in the WS channel, I had a bunch of furs literally all over me. It's been a long time since I got that much attention that it took me by surprise. Of course I provided the normal stuff they need in that particular channel... lots and lots of it. Fun time t be had by all.
My IRC channel on FurNet has been rather bare. I hope to build it up decently by now. Well, if you're interested in checking it out, it's at #the_lair. Just about anything goes in there. Note me if you having troblue using IRC.
I also finally got my IMs going again. I'm using a different compute (I plan on redoing the other one) and trying out Pidgin instead of the buggy Trillian. Haven't used it long enough to make a judgment call on which is better yet. I rarely use my IMs though so it probably take a while to go through it.
I also went to GIMP on this computer to do my drawing in. It has many quirks but I'm getting used to it. A couple of annoyances that really making things hard for me includes not being able to resize the darn smudge brushes like any of the others. The slider bar for it is just not there on the toolbar like the others. Strange since they share a lot of the other settings. I hope they fix that glaring oversight. Luckily GIMP is very customizable. So I change some of the goofy default behavior it has.
BTW, is anyone reading this thing? I have the feeling that I get lost in the noise. Oh another thing, I have a couple of requests to do but with my bad memory, I'm losing track of those (I should have written them down). Those getting requests, remind me who you are so I can get on it.

tanukisan is the sucker to get the 10,000thpageview, hehe. And it happened a day after
sparkshusky got the 1000th favorite. Madness. I wonder what the odds of that happening. Well, I already got a sketch for sparkshusky that I'm leaning toward to ink and color. Have to sort a few things out on it first. As for tanukisan's prize, something vorish is a possiblity after a short chat on the subject. Nothing definitive as of yet. Unless any of you have any suggestions.
I'm thinking of something along these lines;
* A caption of 'it's a trap!' with 10k pageviews sign over my open maw, luring tanukisan toward it.
* Lots of lights and arrows pointing to the gate of doom.
* Maybe a few furs peeking in from the sidelines.
I seriously doubt I could pull it off though. I'm sure I have to simplify it lots. That's why I need more ideas. Sometimes thought flows from my mind, leaking like a sieve. Other times it's clogged tight with a massive artblock.
Anyway, congratulation to the two. Hope it turns out well.
One down and one more to go. 38l.
Posted 17 years agoWe have a winnar! The 1000th fav goes to
SparksHusky . A prize drawing will be in the works. No timetable for when it's done but ideas already exchanged.
Now that's over with, I still have that 10k pageview contest going. Only 32 to go as of this writing. I was on pace to hit that in the middle of last year before RL events curtail my output. I'm still recovering from that.
Well, I'm glad one milestone hit and about to pass another though it took much longer than I hoped. I'm happy for myself but I do wish I had more comments. I gladly trade pageviews for more feedback. The more of it I get, the more encourage I get in doing more arts (hint hint).
At any rate, the rules for the 10k pageview contest is simple. Whoever hits that mark, take a screenshot and post the link in here (the latest journal if needs be). Disregard posting it in the previous journal as that is obsolete. In case of multiple shots, I'll take the first one posted. If there is not too many multiples, I might award the prizes to all. I all depends on what I decide then.
As for the prize, it'll be a simple sketch that might blossom into a full color drawing. Again it depends on what I feel like doing. The chances are good that I'll go all the way with it.
I'm estimating in about a week or two to hit the 10k mark (hopefully sooner). We'll see until then.

Some quick stuff. 37th journal
Posted 17 years agoI'm about to hit 10k pageviews and 1000 favorites. 75 views and 19 favs to go. I wonder which one I pass first. Well anyway, if someone manages to take a screenshot on either on of them, post a link here and you'll win a drawing or something. The prize won't be much but I'll do something.
BTW, what you thing about my new avatar? Well, I like it anyway.

Long overdue updates and such. 36th journal
Posted 17 years ago Been a long time since I updated this thing... as usual. Been busy at work plus my laziness making me lax. Tons of stuff happened and all of it good. I try to be brief as I tough upon them.
First one is about the co-worker who was shot and burned by her husband from my last journal. I'm sad to report that she passed away a week after during her skin graph operation. The people on the production floor where quite devastated as you can image.
If any of you remember the situration with the car and the insurance company, I know where it is located. Well, kinda. I got a letter from a auto repair shop saying that they are putting a mechanic's lein on the car. BK and his girlfriend EE 'sold' the car to them for $600.
He blew the engine and trans (the idiot) again. Those imports are fragile and don't take to modification well. Anyway, the repair estimate was too high so he unloaded the car to the shop. The thing is that he got the girlfriend to fill the paperwork. She stated that the car sat at her place for two years. Of course that was a total lie since I bought the car a year and half ago, making that statement impossible. Plus the car is not their's to sell in the first place.
I told the insurance company and they are slow to do anything. I also tried to press charges in two police stations but the jurisdiction seems to go back to my orginal city. And they wasn't helpful at all when I talked to them in the beginning.
I haven't gone back to the orginal police since the last one wondered why the insurance company not taking care of it. I wonder the same thing do all the work. So I'm leaving the rest for them to do like they should. So I'm going to talk to my lawyer some more and see what I can do to speeds things up. Hopefully I have good news to report next time.
Ok, lets get to my so called arts (or lack there of). As some of you know, I been playing around with a couple of #d sculpting programs. The sculpting part I like fair enough but things go way too tedious trying to make actual displacement maps and such. I'm hoping Blender's built-in sculpting tools be less insane to deal with. I plan on trying it out next. No time table when though.
I bought an older server for cheap at the computer show. Paid $25 for a 1.7GHz system in a 4U rackmount case with a 350W Antec PS. Not bad I must say though it is missing the top cover and some bracket. Not a big deal as I can make those.
I already made a mod for it. I have some photos here http://www.flickr.com/photos/263372.....7607018337791/ . Just a replacement plate for the switches and LED lights. I wanted a front USB port that the case lacked. So I made one into the front contral panel as well as added a second set of switches and light for an eventual 2nd motherboard.
So, that'll should hold you until next update, whenever that may be. Oh, BTW, I'm getting close to hitting 10k pageviews. It has been slowly climbing and less than 400 til it reaches that landmark. Hopefully I have something done before then.

Bad news at work. Plus some updates. 35th Journal
Posted 17 years agoI received some terrible news at work today. A co-worker passed away during her skin graph operation. Her husband shot and burned her last Monday along with killing the homeowner and setting the house on fire. A really messed up situation. We were hoping she'll pull through but it was not to be.
Details are still sketchy. She was shot 5 or 7 times and burned from 60% to 90% of her body. They did arrested the husband that day.
I'm going to miss her. I don't see her often but she seems to always have a smile. And her laugh was contagious. She was so happy every time I saw her.
I guess as growing company, the likeyhood of these madness is increasing. Just a year and a half ago another co-worker was stabbed to death and burned. That time by her boyfriend. And a former worker's son was killed no long after that.
Not a good way to cap off a busy month. I kept getting more and more projects stacked on top of me. but I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel (I hope). I think this week will be the turning point (though I been saying that for a couple of weeks now).
Also I got a call from a collection agency related to that insurance settlement issue I have. The insurance company were supposed to contact my lawyer friend directly. well, he sent a certified letter to them stating as such. All this waiting is getting to me. I thought it would be over with one way or another months ago. The insurance company sure like to drag their feet. This makes me think they really don't have much of a case against me and trying to scare me to pay up through the collection agencies.
But enough with the bad news. I do have a couple of bright spots in mt bleak existence. I finally took the plunge and bought a new mp3 player. Got a good deal on it too. It's a Sansa e280 for $65US shipped (I love sales). A refurbished model but working very well. In fact it sounds much better than my old crappy one. The bass not mushy and the high crisp, not what I can best describe as scratchy of my old one.
I installed Rockbox on it, which is an alternative firmware. Adds a lot of nice features except it doesn't seen to play as loudly as the original firmware. Thankfully, I can switch between the two on startup. Overall it's so much better than the old one that I'm very happy with it.
Last Saturday I took my brother and his kids to see Kung Fu Panda. I enjoyed the movie and the kids liked it. It's been a long time since I saw a movie in the theater. I need to get out more often.

500! 500 I say! Now we all can rejoice.
Posted 17 years ago500! 500 I say! Now we all can rejoice. I now have 500 watchers on FA (at this moment). I would have hit that number months ago but it kept dropping every time it got near. Maddening I say.
veralix is the guilty one to reach the 500th spot. I'll have to something for him sometime for being the lucky vict... visitor. Not idea as of yet though.
I waited to hit that magic 500 mark to make a proclamation. Undoubtedly, most of you will be happy to hear that I'm officially announcing that I'm restarting my 3D efforts. That's right, I'm back! A number of you asks when I go back to my 3D work. Well, now you know. I already began messing around with a couple of 3D programs, namely Zbrush and Mudbox.
I love the tools in Zbrush but he interface is beyond horrible. I keep getting stuck in 2.5D mode and it won't let me back into 3D even though I follow th help page. It just stays greyed out. Frustrating to the core. And the bad GUI on top of it makes it even worse. Hardly use the left mouse button and no scroll wheel function I can tell (would be ideal to zoom and out). Plus the model gets 'stretched' and distorted if I modified it too much. I simple cure is to have a maximum face size while working. Oh well, might go back to it.
Mudbox interface is a bit better. Basically a standard layout instead of trying to make it too pretty like Zbrush. Mudbox doesn't have nearly the amount of tools as Zbrush but still quite powerful. It also suffers from excess distortion from modifying a spot too much. One glaring omitted feature is copying objects or faces. A huge error as it makes modeling a pain. I guess it's meant to modify and existing model than creating one from scratch. But still a very useful feature to have.
Despite this I made a decent dragon head model pretty quick in Mudbox. I have some screenshots on my Flickr page here http://www.flickr.com/photos/26337284%40N06/ . I'll post some of it and more on FA later. Keep an eye out.
I plan to mess with Mudbox some more and next intend to make a simple model in 3ds max and import it. Hopefully that'll work out better than trying everything in Mudbox.
So what you all think? I know most of you watch me for my 3D work since my 2D stuff gets woefully ignored. Hopefully this will bring the masses back into the fold. Don't make me hunt you all down one by one. Takes too much time.

It's over 9000! (Yeah, it's old. Took me long enough) 33rd J
Posted 17 years agoWell, I finally past that mark. I would have reached it sooner if RL didn't killed my 3D work, which most of my watchers come for.
Speaking of watchers, I almost hit 500. Been frustrating since that number goes up and down, teasing me like a two dollar whor... well, getting o so close. At the moment, it is just 4 away from the half-century mark, the closest yet. I plan to make an announcement once I get to 500. I'm not telling but I have a hint on my Flickr page (the location is easy to find for those curious). You can PM me if you can't find it or just wait for the 4 watchers (provided I don't lose any in the process like the norm : ).
In other news, my RL issues have mostly been stagnant. Frustrating as well but I'm dealing with it as best I can. Another old issue has risen again with my brother. He seems to have relapse (sigh). It'll be a matter of time when that situation comes to a head. I suspect more messy business. I don't feel like going into the details right now (It'll be so long).
Otherwise, I been rather busy of late. Not as bad as the end of last year and the beginning of this one. But still plenty to do. Some of it piling up though I'm making headway in some areas. It's going to be tight for a few months I think.
BTW, I haven't been reading anyone's journals. I watch way too many people (such great art on FA) that I get hundreds of new journals a day. I haven't nuked any and it sits at 8194 right now. 0.0 I feel like I miss something but too many memes and other waste of space is flooding me. A shame as I enjoy reading the real meaningful ones. I hope FA will add some sort of filtering system soon cause I'm drowning in them.
Hopefully I can update with some good news next journal. I been lax lately in writing them. Wow, it's been two months since I last wrote. 0.0 Madness.
PS. talk to me peeps. I'm dying out here.

My FA status and news. 32nd Journal
Posted 17 years agoNot much happened on the home front the last couple of weeks. Well, nothing exciting anyway, probably a good thing. No news is better than bad news I say. Work is still busy. Looks like it'll stay that way for another month or so.
I do have a few interesting things happening on my FA account. I'm just 10 shy of my 500th watcher at this moment. A lot of newbie came flooding from the first of my dragon education article.
It garnered 569 views (most in the first couple of days). I was expecting 100 to maybe 200 views at most. So it gave me a shock when numbers climbed to such heights (Impressive numbers for me). It seemed I hit upon something with my texts.
All this success gave me the desire to finish my RP article (I have a bad habit of not completing things). I started on it a few weeks prior and cleaned it up to post. Got 262 views. I big drop but still respectable compared what I normally get (like around 30).
The third article (second installment of the series) managed 230 views. Lower but still steady. The latest only got 169. I figured since the subject is a little harsh for the squeamish out there (It's somewhat graphic in parts). Though I can't help but to feel that I'm loosing my audience. Maybe that first article was a fluke and have that is my norm. I had more views than I have watchers, which is a little weird. Perhaps I hit the perfect timing. Or maybe someone posted the link to a forum. It'll be nice to know at any rate.
I'm thinking of taking a short break from writing (I'm not much of an writer anyway) except for those crazy RPs. Those have been booming. Tons and tons of RP, most of them quite naughty and kinky. Yeah, I can't count the times when little Monty and I have gone in and out of so many tight spots. Got to be in the hundreds by now. Over a hundred partners too I imagine, many of them repeat customers (I'm a full service dragon). It's funny when they start to line up.
About my FurNet IRC channel #The_Lair, it's slow going. A few people pop in here and there. Still a long way to go to get a stable amount of members. I figure around 20 or so to reach the critical mass needed to keep things lively. Maybe I should schedule one of my famous strip tease. That'll bring them in. Even doing my infamous lap dance. Now that'll peak some interest.
I hope my channel doesn't fizzle out like my other projects. I want it to sizzle, not fizzle out. A long time stain on the fabric of FurNet. And not wash off despite repeated cleaning. Yeah, huh? What? Oh. Well, you get the picture.
Hmm, got another watcher somehow. Nine more to go to hit that magical 500. And less than 500 views to go over 9000! Now wouldn't that be exciting. Ok, maybe not. Now if I can get started on those sketches I have planned much less finish, then I be set.
Well, I think I'm watching too many furs. Some many great artists on FA that I'm well over 1200. This has the effect of filling my new messages list fast. Right now I'm staring at "You have 22464 new messages ( 20864S, 19C, 1389J, 60F, 132W )". Crazy mad. I afraid I'm going to nuke the journals. Even skipping the memes, I still can go through all of them. So if any of you have something important, let me know. Cause I have to burn it and start over. No if only I can filter out time wasters like memes, it'll be a lot better. There's no way I can keep up with getting over 100 new journals a day. Just too much.
Update: I got a sketch done! Will be up shorty. I also plan to fix that vore article. It got double spaced (at least on my end) when I posted it to FA. Plus I forgot a couple of parts. Maybe edit it before this weekend.

Wow! Just wow! 31st Journal of Joy
Posted 17 years agoI posted my 100th submission and got such a huge response. over 100 views in 3 hours and over 200 by the morning (nearly 400 as of this writing). Quite unexpected and I got comments! Precious comments. I know it's mainly because the post is adult in nature. But still, it is a text file of all things. those usually don't get much attention on FA. I Seem to peeked some interest. I wish I get that kind of action in my non-adult works (Don't make me beg for them now). *shrugs* Needless to say, I plan on doing more of these "essays". Don't worry hough, I won't abandon my arts anytime soon (and the 3d arts hat everyone loves so much. It'll come). It'll be centuries before that. Even then I probably evolve into something else.
The funny thing is that I don't consider myself much of a writer. But when i get started, I tend to go on and on. A curse or a blessing, you decide. But what I do know is that last article just flowed out of me. Pretty much wrote that in one sitting. Not surprising, it's a subject I know personally and is quite familiar with it. I already have many ideas of subjects for the articles. It'll be most educational I'm sure. Dragon are so misunderstood, clouded by myth and legend. I hope to cut though the fog give a clearer picture of us dragons. We won't bite.. much. ^,,^ Unless, of course, you want us to.
I made my RP (Role Playing) guide last month but didn't quite finish it. Some touch ups and updating and I'll post it next as RP 101. Hope that'll streamline some on my RP sessions. It can get quite hefty (very hot and heavy too). Sometimes it takes a long time to get things in motion. A little background should help in this regard, at least that's what I'm shooting for. Bam! Oh dear, I seem to make a mess *licks it clean*
On the subject of RPs, I been very busy with them. If I had to guess, I say I had around 20 sessions last week, give or take. Not surprisingly, they were adult oriented (Though I like to have some non x-rated ones here and there). This includes seven vore RPs on Saturday. ^;;^ I was so hungry that day. Plus several others involving various fetishes (Yeah, I'm a kinky pervert, so there). Fun for all I say.
Now to plug my IRC channel. It's #The_Lair on FurNet server. Only a couple of weeks old but I expect it to be a fun place to chat and RP. It is starting to establish itself nicely.
In other news, not much going on with the insurance or the car. After going through the hell of last year, I'm pretty patient. I'll ride it out whatever may come. Haha, get it? Car, ride. *Slap* Ow, you didn't have to smack me. *Rubs cheek*
Work is very busy again. Rush jobs and projects galore. Looks like I'll be tired up till at the end of the month at least. Then I should get some breathing room. So my recent spurt may be short term. Hopefully I'll be able to kick it back into high gear for the rest of the year. See you there.

Lots of Potentially Good News. 30th Journal
Posted 18 years agoFeeling a much better this week after finally getting some better news. I'll start with news from Mike, that high school buddy that I drew the set of three automobile concept drawings. He had a luncheon on Friday with the CEO of that major car manufacture that I mentioned on my previous journals. It went rather well after calling Mike. He had my drawings made part of a presentation that he got printed professionally up. Mike gave the folder to the CEO. Mike told me the CEO looked impressed after looking at it. He promised to pass it on to the correct department. This made my pretty happy that someone that high up not only get to see my work but also impressed by it. *beams* Chances are still mighty slim if anything comes out of it but who knows. At least it'll generate some interest and an opportunity could appear here.
Second bit of news I got was th letter I got on Saturday. It came from the collection agency for the insurance company wanting the money back. It was rather nasty and accusing me of delaying and stalling (like I want the nightmare to go on and on). I talked to Mike about it and he said that they're trying to scared me and all that, pretty standard M.O. for them. I heard this from several other people but it still stress me out. Well, he gave them a call and they where much more responsive since he is a lawyer. Mike told them to close the claim out and send it back to the insurance company. I should get no more correspondences and everything will go through him now. Mike said it's now a cat-n-mouse game and probably end up negotiating a settlement for a lower amount. I can live with that but it'll be another month or so before everything gets settled. I now barely saved enough to pay it off if it comes to that. However, getting it drop or even a lowering the amount will just be dandy.
I have another piece of good news. I have a co-worker here that has a friend that used to be a repoman (gotta love all these connections). He talked to him and gave me some advice. He wanted some information on BK (The scum who has my car. Refer to my previous journals if you want more background). While I as gathering the information, I revisited BK's Myspace site and noticed he updated it with where he is working at now. I knew he moved to another town not too far away but now know he got a job at an university. This is big news since I have a chance of recovering the car. I plan to verify that he is working there and hire a repo guy to tow the car. I heard it should be no more than $300. It'll be worth that to get the car back.
My best case scenario is to have the insurance company dropping the case (or settle with a lower amount is good too) and to recover the car so I can sell the POS (I hate ricers. They suck on so many levels). The only issue I might have is BK blaming all this on me, the victim. Seems these guys blames others for the problem that themselves create. I don't know why they react like that but I'm getting all too familiar with it. It's like watching a slow train wreck and can't stop it no matter how many warnings and giving helping hands.
I learned my lesson that these people do it to themselves and trying to help will drag you down with them. I'll still help people as much as I can but no longer will stick my neck out so far like that. I can't make people responsible. They have to earn my trust, but even then I'll be more careful.
Needless to say, I don't trust BK at all. Now that I know he has a violent past, I want to protect myself. And to that end, I'm thinking of getting a CCW permit and prepare myself if he tries to come after me. Maybe a restraining order too if it comes down to it. This dragon has ran out patience for people of that ilk. But that's all planing for the future.
So in summary, this is the best news I recieve in a long time. My chances of resolving the issues are in my favor. While it'll not likely I get everything back, it could recover a good chunk. And that would make happy. This year started crappy but has turned around to the good side. I hope it lasts.
Well, in other news, I replaced the alternator in my Trans Am. I gone ahead and upgraded to a news, better style. The TA already had the beefer 17SI alternator in it (originally 108A output). I replaced it with one out of a savage yard last year but it wasn't charging. I did some research and found out the newer CS144 unit is the same physical size as my original and would bolt right in with minimal modifications. I know that the early CS series like the CS121 and CS130 are just downright horrible (last less than 100k miles while the SI series can go for decades). The CS144 is different. It's build much better and can last a long time. Plus the CS144 puts out a lot more power and doe it at a lower RPM too. I has a few other features to make it better to run all the electronics in the modern cars (lower noise, quiter operation, run cooler, etc).
So it was a no brainer with all the benefits. And it was only cost $10 more (I paid around $108US for a lifetime warranty rebuilt unit). Now there are some modifications that is need for the wiring. But it was pretty simple. GM (Delco) makes an adapter harness to convert the old SI series to the new CS144. I opt to make my own (I'm an engineer after all). I did found a problem with the factory wiring harness (Maybe why it's not charging in the first place? Kinda moot now that I upgraded). I didn't have to change the brackets but I did made a mod last year by using the new belt tightening bolt that makes adjusting the tension so much easier.
I got great results with the new alternator. Before upgrading, I can't recall ever recall the voltage going over 13 volts, even with the factory original alternator. Now with the new one, it stay well above it unless I run it at idle with lights on and the stereo blasting (600+ watts RMS - Yep, that's real true watts and not that marketing max watts crap that doesn't mean anything). In addition, the car seems to run better too.
I need to add one of those stiffing capacitor and/or a battery in the rear. Perhaps bumping up to bigger wires. A project for he future. If anyone wants more information on the conversion, ask me and I'll see if I can put a how-to together. I think it's well worth the time and effort, especially if you run a lot of electronics. I read that people are making the same conversions even for non GM vehicles too.
One more thing (Yay! the journal almost over), I want to remind people that I recently opened a chat channel #The_Lair on the IRC network FurNet (Click on the chat button up in the left corner for more info on how to connect). I plan on submitting a more detailed channel description and rules hopefully soon. It's new so not much is set in stone yet but I have a pretty good idea where to take the channel. I ran several other channels so I got experience at it.
I want to keep it friendly as possible. As you can imagine, I had enough real life drama. I really don't want more on line shenanigans like flooding and trolls (Thankfully they are rare). Any of those will be swiftly dealt with (Smashed to a fine red sticky paste). Otherwise, just about anything goes as long as it not harassing anybody. There will be fun times to be had.
Eep! I just got tagged by Shub-Yoggoth. I don't have the time to do them these days. However I'll refer to an earlier one I did that's similar to this one. It's at http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/89673/ if you want to check it out. I'm not bothering tagging the eight other people but if you want to do it, the rules are:
Rules:
1. Post these rules
2. Each Tagged person must write 8 facts about themselves
3. The tagged person must post their facts in the journal they were tagged in.
4. You have to inform 8 people that they have been tagged on their userpage
There, that concludes our lovely journal. Don' be afraid to ask any questions you have. I don't bite... much.

Updates and an Annoucement or Two. 29th Journal
Posted 18 years agoWell, I made it past one year on FA (Yay! go me!). All in all I am enjoying my time here. Though I'm no where as active as when I first started, I am slowly getting back. I been so lax that now I have over 15,000 new submissions to go through. 0.0 Madness. It'll be a while before I get caught up.
I have a few ideas for new arts, even plan to restart my 3D stuff (It's been a long time since I touched it). RL stress slowed everything down (Still ongoing :[ ).
Now the announcement. I have finally set up a IRC channel on FurNet. Click on FA's chat link in the upper left corner to get information on how to access it. The channel name is #The_Lair (Yeah, I know it's pretty generic). I been meaning to create a channel on FurNet for a long time but the afore mention RL drama put it on the back burner. Since I been on FA over a year, I figure I go ahead and register the channel anyway and at least get it started. I hope it'll grow into something cool eventually.
Pretty much anything goes in the channel, as long as it not harassing anyone. That'll be a big no-no. I'll make a rules page when the needs arises. All kinds of RPing and discussions (Both sexual as well as non-sexual, though I surmise it'll be mostly adult oriented). Though I'll recommend shying away from illegal drugs and whatnot (the previous journals show why).
Speaking of RL issues. I got another letter from the collection agency. They are getting really rough. I'm hoping to talk to that person at the insurance company tomorrow. They're really hard to get to and hopefully not get the run around. Time is running short (as well as my patients). This is all giving me this sick feeling in my stomach.
Oh well, a short jornal for a change. Scary, eh?

My first update of the year. 28th Journal
Posted 18 years agoIt's been a while since I update my journals. Lots of things to cover so I'll try to keep it brief (good luck with that). Let me start off with Christmas and New Years. I hope everybody had a great one. Mine was ok. Had a small family dinner for Christmas and a slightly larger New Years day dinner. Nothing like the large gatherings of years past, but still good. Only a little drama at the end (Bleh, but it was kinda expected). :( But I won't let it crush my spirits. I have other things for that.
Speaking of crushing, I still haven't got a hold of somebody in the insurance company that can do anything about my situation. For those that don't know, read my huge previous journals. I dare ya. ;) But basically the insurance company wants the money back after telling me everything was ok and don't worry about it (Yep, I trusted them. I tend to do things like that). But anyway, I yet get a call back. I'm guessing the person is away for the holidays. Should be back now so I'm going to call once again this coming Monday. Hopefully I get the answers I seek and maybe, just maybe, resolve the issue right then and there (I don't count on it though).
Well, I do have interesting news with the car. The person who has it (lets call him BK) was seen driving it by a co-worker. Unfortunately, the co-worker couldn't follow him. But now I know the area which to focus on. I don't know if he's staying around the area or just visiting. However, there is a slimmer of hope that I might find him and recover the vehicle, especially if the insurance company still giving me hassles.
As you know, I haven't made any new arts of late on FA. I been extremely busy at work plus other stuff cropping up. Also I have a drawing project that I allured to in my previous journals. I still say much about it except it fast approaching the deadline and it's crunch time. By next week I will know if it was successful or not. Some big opportunities if it goes through (the CEO of a major automaker will see it by then). Stay tuned.
I don't know if anyone noticed, but I'm almost reach my one year anniversary on FA. Yep, January 7 will mark the burnt spot of the charred remains... I mean marks the spot. I was hoping to hit 10k pageviews (I was on the pace to hit 12k easily before my slump) and 500 watchers by now. Looks like I'll fall far short. All in all I think I did quite well despite the torment and drama I went though (and still suffers from) last year. Had some good things and a lot of bad things happening in 2007. I really want to put the nightmare behind me soon and go on to the good.
Now that I hit 7777th pageviews, I want to make an extra good drawing to balance out my extra evil 6666th view pic. I'm thinking along the lines of me sniffing a bouquet of pretty flowers. Maybe next week I can get started on it. Also the two request drawings too.
Let me finish with my role playing (RP) online. I'm slowly getting back into it. Done a few nice sessions already and getting ready to jump back headfirst. I also almost finish a my RP guide to help getting some background on me. That way things will start off faster.
I have a few more things but I'll skip it them this time.
Huge Update: All Kinds of Stuff. 27th Journal
Posted 18 years agoThe last few months as we race toward the end of the year have really been busy for me. Sometimes good, sometimes in a bad way as the time goes rushing by. I'll try to touch on some of it in this journal. Lots and lots of ground to cover. I'm sure I'll miss a few items but here goes.
I'll start with the office Christmas party on Monday. Yeah, we had it early this year so I didn't have much time to pick a gift (not like I spend a lot of time on it anyway) for the white elephant gift exchange. I brought a cute fuzzy dog-shape foot massager. Not only funny but useful to boot. As for me, I picked the large heavier box from the pile. 24 karats is what I found opening the box. That is, 24 carrots painted in gold with a label "24 karats" in gold glitter on a black ribbon. Lots of laughs on that one. Not the most useful think in the world, but I did taped the ribbon under my wall nameplate. I got to figure what to do with the rest.
I did enjoy the party. I ended up eating way too much. A famous country singer owns the place and the food was pretty good (better than the years previously). I ate two plates full of stuff. Beef, chicken breast, salad, ranch beans, grilled squash, and mashed potatoes with the skin still n them (yum). A typical Texas fare but mighty tasty. The first beef course was particularly good. Nice and pink in the center as well as tender and flavorful. So tender that you can cut it with the side of a fork. The second one they brought out wasn't as good but decent.
The grilled squash could use some more seasoning (I tend to us tons of spices when I cook so I'm probably a little bias here). The mashed potatoes ruled. I love it when they leave the skins on. What I hate are those ultra smooth blan potato puddings (yuck). The rest of the food performed well. The desserts were ok. I ate both of them plus a glass of milk to add to the 3 large glasses of soda I had earlier. That when the trouble started. 0.o
I tried to finish off the milk but my stomach starts to really bloat. My stomach was very tight and hurt like hell especially touching it. I couldn't burp either which made it worse. I was even breaking out in sweats. It lasted like 15 minutes before settling down. I never felt so stretched out before like that but made the fairly long drive home without exploding (I would still be in orbit with an occasional bits forming meteorites streaking across the sky now and then). Of course I was hungry a few hours later. ^;;^
Overall, I had a good time at the party. The food was good, especially considering they had to feed like 100 people. The gift I got this year was quite funny (Har har, wait till next year). Lots of people showed up despite the long distance.
Well, let's see. My Trans Am is running ok. I still need to flush out the injectors and do do a few more stuff though. I think the colder weather had an effect. The car started to sputter and backfire really bad before but now is ok again. Sound like the MAF but I replaced it recently. I hope it's just a small temporary thing as the car's computer adjusts itself.
I mention about my birthday I had in late November in my last journal. I got a couple of late presents which is nice. A lot more than the last several years where I got pretty much nothing. Not that I expect any at my age but still nice to get something anyway. Free stuff is good. :p
Speaking of free stuff, I was lucky to snag a couple of requests. I don't hit these often but it's great to get it if I run across it. I'm usually too late but got one from
wirebite just in time. A preview is at http://www.furaffinity.net/view/904261/ . It's a sketch of me soaring in the air (my standard request when I manage to get one. I need to vary it one of these days). I like it so far. :) Better than what I can do especially the pose. I'm really bad at poses. I need to practice.
To get that practice, I'm thinking doing a request to the first responder. Just a simple one since I'm super busy. But I think I can squeeze at least one out. We'll shall see. I was hoping to do a contest winner drawing for my 7500 pagview kiriban. No one got a screenshot then again I made the announcement on short notice. I let it lapse till only 5 views to go and didn't realize it til almost too late. So I'm making up for it with a quick simple request.
One thing I don't want to do again right now is something like my last submission at http://www.furaffinity.net/view/922829/ (WARNING: contains post vore scat and WS. If you don't know what those are, then it's probably a good idea to stay away). That was my most elaborate drawing to date. Hundreds of layers that took months to complete (mainly due to RL issues that took me away from it but still a nightmare). I did try out and learned a few new techniques. And I got some interesting results. I don't think anyone color and shade quite like I do (probably for the good of all).
Another thing is that submission is the most extreme I have ever done. I put warnings in the thumbnail and wonder if that is enough. I notice that the preview picture on my homepage doesn't have the warning. This is one of the reason I am leaning toward making a separate new FA account to feature such stuff (and more as I explore my even darker side). Unless I can censor the preview somehow, I'll go in that direction since I don't want to scare the timid watchers.. too much.
One last thing for now. That 6x8 tablet I bought early this year is back on sale once again. It's listed on http://www.dealhack.com/ and available at http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?In.....cm_cat=1635414 . I like mine a lot and love the $40US price even more. Good solid tablet for those that can't or don't want to overspend on those expensive Waccom tablets. Enjoy.
I have plenty more material to cover but I think I leave them for next time. Things like how I want to get back in RP (role playing) online again and a job opportunity that might open up for me (one of things that'll keep me busy this week and maybe beyond). I could go on and on.
Oh by the way, I wonder how many people actually wade through my huge journals and make it to the end. Should I do smaller but more often journals? Or you people like the punishment? Let me know. Speak me pretty pretties. Speak to me.
