Anything is open. It's a great way for me to practice drawing other characters and you get free art in return. Sounds like a win-win to me.
What kind of drawing will you get? Possibly a full colored piece, an ink, but it will be, at least, a sketch. It's free, so there's no real room for complaint. ^^
Be aware of my style, if it doesn't please you, then please do not enter. Otherwise, I'm looking forward to your suggestions.

It's official.
Posted 14 years agoIt's official. As of Friday, March 4, 2011 I am officially cancer free. My CT Scan showed that everything looks good. So by next month, I'll be able to get back to work. I'm so happy. Thanks to everyone who's supported me. I appreciate your words, prayers, art and digital llamas.

Considering he has a 3 and 1/2 year old child, it's even more dire of a situation. He needs to have this surgery pronto, so please donate anything you can to his cause.

Potassium
Posted 15 years agoSo I went for chemo treatment number 5 yesterday. This ended up being the longest chemo treatment ever, because I was in for a surprise. Apparently, my body has been deciding to, for whatever reason, remove "excess" potassium in my system, leaving me only a few points above the "omg, you need to be in the hospital" level. THANK YOU KIDNEYS! You guys are awesome.
So, this is why I've been in the middle of chatting with someone and disappearing or telling you all goodnight REALLY early. I have had no energy. I also learned that's why it feels like I've ran a marathon after walking a few minutes, or why I'm so irritable. Since potassium effects your muscles and nerves, mine have been "eh". Muscles, what does that mean...
YES, apparently my heart is been all "cough cough, I can't work under these conditions", but luckily wasn't doing the "HEY, I'M A HUMMINGBIRD *FLUTTER*" thing as a tip off. (It does it enough after chemo, because of the drugs they stuff in me) Also, potassium burns like the fires of hell are being directly pumped into your veins. I felt pain, checked to see if my vein had blown (which sometimes happens), turned pale and told myself that something was wrong. I was writhing in pain, WRITHING.
If you ever have to have chemo, which I pray to every deity on the planet that none of you will ever go through, do yourself a favor and request them to put a new i.v. into a new vein. After sitting for hours and having three bags of meds pumped into one vein, that potassium will hurt. Whereas you barely feel it being put in non-abused vein. I was able to relax and draw after the new i.v. was put in.
Luckily, my arm barely hurts today, considering it felt like it was trying to explode the day before. Had to take something for restless legs syndrome though, but that's unrelated.
Welp, keeping my buddies informed. Hope you're all doing well.

Posted 15 years agoAnd with what little money I have left, the bank managed to pull one over me and I over drafted. Rather it's another company that I had set up automatic payments that has messed me up, taking the money a week early before I could have sufficient funds in the bank.
I'm so tired of not having a job.

Chemotherapy
Posted 15 years agoIt kicked my butt thoroughly this past week. Today is the first day I've felt like being conscious in forever. I don't want to eat, bath, talk, do anything but sleep. Today, I'll wait for my family to come home and take a nice shower, because I don't feel sick. I still feel weak.

Slow going on commissions.
Posted 15 years agoAs it turns out, I'll be going back to the hospital next weekend. They found cancer and in order to fix it all, I'll have to have a complete hysterectomy. This means, I'll be out of it for awhile. The pain is quite intense and I've taken to sleeping away most of the day at night. This is why I've not been online much. Hopefully, soon it will all be over and I'll feel normal again.
