General | Posted 18 years agoI know you're all probably sick of my journal after journal today... But I want to get rid of the silliness off of my front page, well I did that with the meme, but I've also been pondering this...
I kind of feel like my artwork is rather ignored on SA and dA, as the majority of my work is over looked and has only one or two views. -_-; Sadly. I'm not sure why this is the case, is it that I don't have good enough art for the 'so-called-elitists' there or is it that its very common place...? It also makes me curious as to how all these furry artists on dA and SA have so many views and yet their art looks nothing more than anorexic furries on crack. O.o; Sorry to say it. And all the while the art that I put my hard earned credit into gets pushed to the side. It kind of bewilders me. Then again there are so many artists on dA I'm not surprised my work gets looked over... And SA well it went down as soon as the first, and I mean first, coding issues came around and the site was down for about six years (note sarcasm)... The artists left and when it came back it was overrun by horrid photos and crappy poems.
What I'm getting to is this, should I outright leave these two websites and focus solely upon FA, which has been the MOST friendliest and nicest sites I've ever been on (Y was a very good website until all the drama went down on it, ie. removing furries, slamming hard on pose references, and favoritism amongst the mods)... Ironically for one such as I, who said they would never get into furry-artwork (due to issues brought forth a long time ago), have found another home for my artwork and wonderful fans and friends amongst the furry-fanbase. None the less, I want to say I love you guys so much! *Grins* You all are just a wonderful group of people and I plan on staying here as long as it remains friendly. ^___^
P.S. I will be cleaning out my gallery moving a lot of my artwork to scraps over the next hour or so and I may end up going back and editing some of my art by watermarking it... So I want to ask your opinion on that as well... Should I watermark my pictures?

Gaia has got to be one of the worse places to put one's art at... However at the same time I have received so many sweet and nice comments from the people there as well. In any case this person made the comment on my lineart of "As the Moon is Bright", saying that it was not one of my works of arts... Not that I really should matter but it irked me... This person accusing me of arttheft... It pisses me off. I'm one who HATES art thievery more than anything and to be accused of such a thing just grates my guts. Feh... Idiots...

General | Posted 18 years agoIt stormed pretty much all evening here, not that its a bad thing or anything. I love rain, but the lightening I could do without, thanks to the fact that I can't go online and what not. So Instead, I unplugged my laptop and decided to go through my picture collection here on my compy and filed them... Which took probably about two hours or so. Eh... Lots of yaoi and some pretty yuri pics... Other than that, I really haven't done anything, I did draw though, as I'll be submitting the piece here shortly (if I haven't done it already). In other news, one of my closest friend's father's died the other day so I ended up spending most of my online time talking with her and what not... She lives in texas now, I used to go to school with her. So I wish her happier news and better days to come.
The day before mother's day was a total wreck, I ended up having to coach one of my cashiers for catching an attitude toward me... Not that I like that sort of thing, further the damn store was packed till closing and I didn't get out till 12:40, which is a bit of a record for me to get out of the store on "eves" so to say. And the other CSM didn't help me pull any of the tills- mind you I have to pull 58 registers almost every night... Just a total hassle. Mother's day itself wasn't so bad, I ended up working after trading days with another CSM.. I originally had the day off but felt a mother should have it before me. Called Mom as well, she seemed happy with the picture, but I also felt disappointment (as I expected) with the gift I got for her. *Sighs* Can't make her happy.. Oh well. I tried, that's all I can do I suppose.
Work had a "STARS" inspection today but I was off, as I'm off today and tomorrow... Its a good thing, didn't feel like messing with the bullshit of tense superiors. Feh, nothing's worse than that. *Eye twitch* Work itself has been a lot better since the crowds of the holiday, however I am dreading Memorial Weekend coming up. At least the day before Memorial day I work 9-6, I think Memorial Day itself I work till closing. I'm just sick and tired of how work is done, and how people bitch constantly on how we don't have enough cashiers. I see it this way, you damn well know that we are busy on nights and weekends... Its your own fucking fault for coming to the store. Don't bitch at me or my cashiers its not my fault and if you want to talk to someone above me, you don't have to curse me out. *sighs*
In closing, I'm trying a new style, you can see it on my latest submission of "Wish Upon A Star: Lines" I found myself looking over artists works that are soooo adorable, and I feel slightly small compared to many people... Of course I'm not complaining about my views or watchers either... I'm impressed I've come this far, especially in furry art. None the less I always want to better myself so I'm going to try a new style, a more simplistic yet cuter-way of artwork... Getting rid of the little "kitty" lips that I draw with my foxes and kittens and try just drawing a small nose or no nose at all with none of those lips... Trying to influence it more with the anime-style I've so abandoned over the months. In any case I've said enough for this journal entry. ^^
Oh!! PS!! My 1000 kiriban will be coming very shortly! Get those fingers working for the prtscr (print screen button). *Grins* If you do get a screenshot please note it to me or something along those lines, and please people don't try to edit the screenshot that's just evil... Further... Those who have requests, I haven't forgotten you, just been in a crappy art block!

Jus' shy of 800 & Mother's Day

Feh man... I hate this, mother's day is just around the corner and I have yet to draw something for my (bitch) of a mother, because I don't have that sort of money to spend right now. I hope she doesn't complain about it being something I drew. *grumbles* I am so behind on my requests as it is, and I haven't been drawing as of late either. *crap* So things aren't really... That great in my normally creative mind. I have a bunch of drawings I should color but I haven't even done that because I'm so out of it thanks to work. The weekend was horrible we had three events going on and we had tons of people at walmart with so many fecking complaints. In any case... I had mother's day off but gave it to another CSM who has to work, so yeah.. So I hope this upcoming weekend wont be too harsh, but I think saturday's going to be awful as it is. *sighs* Wish me luck.

Drama Drama Drama... IGUANA!!
General | Posted 18 years agoOkay... I'm a little tired of this. How people bitch and complain about other people's journals, I know I'm doing it now but damn... If you don't like what someone is posting then please don't read it. I'm not asking you people to read my journal or to enjoy my art. I post to get things off my chest or if I'm excited or something completely else. If I like pokemon or not should NOT matter to you. Go ahead and complain about my journals being about such a 'cliche' fanbase. I don't care. I've gotten to the point where I am removing myself from watching people because of the drama that they carry on every single day, see, solves problem, I don't have to read their journal any longer, heck I don't even have to see their title. While their artwork may be lovely, their drama is not. And thus I came to the decision of going through and dusting out a few of these things. I have enough stress from work as it is, to come home and see "ZOMG!!11oneone!1! I'm leaving FA FOREVERZ!! POKEMANZ R SOOOO TARDED!!!eone!11!!" Feh. And hell you don't even have to read this journal either people! Just so it makes it easier for you... Now that I'm done with that... In other news...
Today was slammed, I'm so exhausted, I want to rp and play some diamond, but I'm so drained right now. Also I'm rather irritated. I didn't get my last break because another CSM thought that they had the right to tell me what to do. I came close to just walking the hell off and taking my last break which was 15 mins before I had to leave anyway thanks to it being so busy. God forbid if someone prevented her from having a break. Fuck. -_-
Anyway on a strange but much better subject, my mom called me at work and asked me if I wanted an Iguana. His name is Dino and is a rather handsome little guy, just a baby and pretty much fills a 50 gallon tank with his tail curved in it. Unfortunately I really don't have the time nor money to invest in this cute little guy. Yes, I think he's cute. First off I'd have to make two six-foot pens, one indoors and the other outdoors, secondly it gets too cold here during the winter and our lights shut off sometimes because of snow- that I must say we get one or two times a winter... None the less we get it bad sometimes too... So I don't want to risk it. Third, we have a dog, and I don't want to stress out either one of them by bringing Dino in the situation. Fourth, in two years or so I'll be transferring to a university if I finish up my community collage stuff... Even more, he'll grow up to six feet in length causing a bit of a problem for the fact that I can't have that sort of pet/animal in a dorm setting. I started out with the penguin starter-pokemon but had to return to work so I chose to replay and get a chimchar. And on my last break I got a Shinx. Anyway yeah... Today was crazy-mart rather than walmart. But~ That's because of three events going on tomorrow. First, Cinco de Mayo (which they had a jalapeno eating contest at work today for), Spring Fest, and Prom. I never went to prom, thought it was stupid. Yep... In any case, I'm going to return to rping... Ah in other crappy news, we get uniforms at work June 16th >< crap. Ah well... I'm off~ Ja'ne!

General | Posted 18 years ago-_- I swear I hate working at times, especially for the fact that I am a manager. First off today, almost as soon I get in I get chewed out for making a change order because of fucking "lines" - I assure you there were none. Then I get pulled into the office because some nut-job got pissy because I wouldn't let them get some batteries that they had "left" without a receipt. Policy says that we can't give someone something that they "left" without a receipt. So this rude customer reports me to my store manager. Second of all I get told that I'm not "professional" on the damn walky. I told him that I cannot hear most of the managers because they speak too low and second they never respond when I ask- and I think that they can't hear me. I was told on several occasions that I speak too low and to speak louder. So I did, and so the Store manager thinks that I get snappy. I told him I don't, I said I just try to project my voice because no one responds and I don't think anyone hears me. Feh... I'm tired of this crap. On a good note, he did say I was the hardest working CSM there and he doesn't thank me enough... Somehow that's not enough to get my spirits up. Feh...
Which puts me into the 'no-art' mood yet again. *Sighs* Work bums me out, especially when I get nasty customers and managers who don't understand.

I'll start working on Requests again on my next day off or over this weekend, as I have a few 11-8's, in other words... I get the good shifts and I don't have to pull 58+ registers those nights, and catch calls, and do various other things. In any case I hope to get back into doing these... As I really, REALLY need to. I have a number of requests that were asked for a good time back, these being the four listed. I've been sick as of late and then came down with my monthly visitor so I just felt double-ick. But now after drawing a little bit and getting into my swing again, I think I can safely open my requests and try to get these out.
Um... In future requests... I think I'm only going to do lineart... I really don't like getting far behind in requests and well, I'm a terrible procrastinator and I hate that I can't get people's art done because I hit artblocks or I'm just not in the mood to draw. Lineart I can put out within a day or two, depending on how things are for me. SO, what that means, is the four there (as of Kimmerset's Request which is no longer up there) WILL (with hope) have colored versions, either oC, Photoshop, Gray-scale shading, prisma markers or colored pencils... Probably more like oc, Photoshop and shading since prismas are expensive for me. In any case, I just wanted to let you all know I haven't forgotten just been sick with the flu and my monthly friend paid a visit.
In other news, OMG, THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!!! I'm almost at 700 views! Since December! (Actually I didn't get into FA 'religiously' until Feb/March- so about then rather than Dec.) Just one more hit till 700!!!!!

In other news -_- I want to draw but I'm cold and tired, work has exhausted me to the max over these past five days. I hate holidays with a passion they make my work complete and utter hell.. So yeah requests are slowly coming, had a coworker ask me about the progress to her tattoo, I was like "I have other requests before yours I'll do it as soon as I can" She's all "But summer's coming soon..." Blah, I really haven't had the energy to draw when I get home from work thanks to stupid holiday rush, and I haven't felt motivated to do her tattoo *sighs* so that doesn't help matters.. In any case I'm tired I think I'm just going to curl up in the recliner and wait for people to PM me off my aim buddylist and give them half assed responses...
