So I'm will be getting a new tablet for making higher quality art and recoloring my existing traditional line art. Until it arrives - probably in December, I will be working on learning the ins-and-outs of both GIMP and PaintTool SAI to see which one works best for me. So if you want free or cheap art, just ask. I really need the practice more than anything. Just comment or send me a message if you are interested.

I also will be shedding my ban on drawing porn. Naughty bits and adult content will begin to appear on my page. I'm not sure why I had such a strong moral stance against it in the first place.

Anyway, I'm in Japan. It's totally... Japanese. Like, there's cartoons everywhere. Even the road barriers around construction are little rabbits and frogs holding up steel bars. It's so adorable. And the food here puts America to shame (with a few exceptions). I've got over a 1 1/2 years left here before I get a new duty station so I'm definitely going to see more. In fact, I'll be going to Tokyo in a couple weeks on a trip with a few friends. There, Kyoto, and Mt. Fuji are my big trip spots I have to go to before my DEROS pops up.

I've been pretty busy with work, training, and wut-not. In what little spare time I have, I've been playing Monster Hunter 3U on the 3DS, and reading up on a few programming languages. I've also been pseudocoding my first big game project that I want to work on. It's sort of a NES/GB Legend of Zelda meets RPG mini Elder Scrolls. So far, it's nothing but a few text documents and concept sketches, which I would love to show you if my scanner didn't break in the mail during the move here D:

After my extended stay of 8 months in technical training school, I finally get to go home to my friends and family. Even with all the crap the Air Force puts me through, I'm still super-excited for the upcoming time both near and distant future in my career. I get to spend 3 weeks back home - even though 2 weeks will be spent assisting my recruiter - then I get to head out to my duty station of Misawa Japan. I'll get to spend my New Year's celebration getting to know my co-workers in the shop and enjoying all that Japan has to offer.

Also, next December I plan to attend KemoCon - the big furry con of the island. Hopefully by then my Japanese will be up to speed enough to travel and converse with the con goers.

But fo realziez, I'll be coming back home soon. I've been stuck in tech school for 6 months and I should only have one to go. Just in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas, hopefully. I'll have to spend the time getting reacquainted with everyone. I've been out here learning computer things - finishing my second Associates degree - bored out of my mind. Hopefully some of my sanity will come back when I get home.

I'm working on a small furry-based video game. It'll be a retro 2D side-scroller with my fursona as a playable character. Right now I have about 1/3 of my character sprites finished and two NES-esque songs written. It's only getting done in what little spare time I have, so it may never see the light of day outside of my computer. If anyone wants a pixel icon made - just ask - I love spriting characters. Free stuff for actually reading my life's story. Congrats, y'all.

Moving on... Update on the Japan situation. I'm still going as of now. I'm super excited! I even bought Rosetta Stone so I can learn to read, write, and speak Japanese. So far I can only say things like "The girls are eating apples." (Onnanokotachiwa bingo tabate imas) and "Is the man is reading the newspaper?" (Otokonoshtowa hondo yonde imaska). Since I will be in Japan for 3 years, I hope to speak the language fluently by the time my base changes.

That about does it for me. Can't wait to be back home with my friends and family.

... for 2 years... In a few months... It's gonna ROCK!!!

I'm back, bitches!... Not really... I finished Boot camp and got sent straight to tech school. Apparently I am into something big, because I was told that I will be here anywhere from 8 to 11 months - I don't know, I'm learning about computers or something. So I'm settling in at lovely Keesler AFB for essentially a 2-year college program in a dorm room with another airman. It's pretty cool so far. So far, I have had 4 sexual harassment / assault briefings and 2 STD briefings, so I have had some strange nightmares lately. Beyond that, I'm having a surprisingly good time for military school. Wish me luck over the next year.

My last 48 hours here in Virginia. Tomorrow, I will head up to Richmond to meet up with the other recruits. The next morning - at the unholy hour of 4:30 am - I'll be woken up to get on a plane for San Antonio,TX for boot camp. Please, wish me luck and keep me in your prayers while I'm away. For you non-military peeps, that means I know when I officially sell my soul to the United States military. Yup, This Valentine's Day, I will be bussed up to Richmond for additional medical and physical screening, then I'm off to San Antonio, TX for boot camp. Afterward, I will be an Airman first class of the United States Air Force.

I'm so excited - and nervous. I'm most excited to finally utter the words I have longed to say to my boss. "I quit." I've worked in that dump for over 5 years, and finally the light at the end of the tunnel is in sight.

Heh, so I'll be enjoying my last 2 months to the fullest, then I'm heading out.

Halloween is arguably the greatest holiday of the year. It's the only day of the year when you can dress like whatever I want and not be sent to a mental institution. Unfortunately, I have class that night :(. So, I will be fursuiting to class in my Mordechai partial, handing out candy to everyone who approaches me. Everyone likes candy, and giant talking animals.

I know. I know! I've been a ghost for the past 2 months. School is a pain, learning 2 new computer programming languages and other technical nonsense that interests only the nerdiest of the nerds, such as myself. Scratch that, I'm not a WoW addict, so I'm not a complete loss.

Anyway, I'm considering dropping my dA page and consolidating all of my work (what little of it there is and will be) to my FurAffinity page. Ya know, the one you're on right now. I realized that all of my friends are here and I keep getting messages from dA groups that flood my inbox. I'm at 896 messages right now with only one meaningful comment. For anyone with work on my page that you want or can take credit on (ahem... Zecon) please take and repost if you want. I will be dropping my page on the first of October unless you guys plead and petition against it.

Anyhoe, lately, besides work and classes, I've been really getting into Minecraft lately. Since 1.8.1 just came out today, I'm really getting into the whole diggy diggy thing. If anyone has any interest in joining my server file, just hit up my Skype and I can send you my IP for some Minecraft multiplayer mayhem. But please, don't wander into my world and set fire to my house. Seriously, I take pride in my houses, burning stuff is a fast way to get banned. Or, good for a cheap laugh. Or both. Of course, feel free to Skype even if you're not interested. I'm ever so lonely over here.

Lastly, I want to congratulate you for reading this; your prize is a cookie. You will receive it via E-mail in the next 5-10 business days. But seriously, I'm trying to get some more practice on my doodling. I may be working on a few things in the near future. Got anything I can use as inspiration? My mind is running 12 things right now, and between a busy schedule and my angsty family at home, my work will be scarce and dark in tone. Inspiration is a hard thing to come by, but drawing is such good stress relief. Next to killing zombles and baking cookies.

I'm back. It was great. I posted pics. Too tired from driving. Zzz... Zzz...

Love it or hate it (since there are always haters out there), I'm making my final preparations for my 9 hour voyage to Pittsburgh, PA for AC'11. It's the first time I've planned anything like this, so I'm a little nervous. Those "What if" questions are running wild in the back of my head. But, nerves aside, I will have two other furs traveling with me to make sure I don't run off the road or to make sure I lost the police in the event of a high-speed pursuit.

You can expect to see either a butt-load of pics from the con, or a journal saying that my camera was lost/ stolen/ broken/ 'sploded/ eaten/ abducted by aliens/ or banished to another dimension. Hopefully I can post pics... 'cuz I need my camera.

At AC, I will be doing... stuff. A drawing panel here, a feline meet-and-greet there. Most notably, I will be hosting a video game tournament featuring the 2nd most nostalgic system available (my #1) the Nintendo Entertainment System in a Duct Hunt Tourney. In my opinion, the Atari 2600 is the most nostalgic. Anyway, the rules of competition are simple:
- Stand a minimum of 10 feet from the screen (marked with duct tape)
- Play Game 2 (the one where 2 ducks pop out at once)
- Each shot costs the base score (500, 800, and 1000 depending on the round)
- Each hit earns 2x the base score (1000, 1600, and 2000 respectively)
- Rack up as many points as possible in 8 minutes (starting when you shoot the screen to start the game)
I figure this tourney tests the both the accuracy and reflexes of each competitor. Only the best hunter will win. As for prizes... I think the VG department has a few people donating free commissions or something, I really don't know. I just wanted a classic system in the line up, which I have donated for the con to use along with about 40 games like Mario arcade, 1, 2, and 3; Zelda 1 and 2; Mega Man 1-6, Tetris and Tetris: The Soviet Mind Game (Tengen version); TMNT 1, 2, and 3; Metroid; Super Contra; Kirby's Adventure; and many others. I know, I'm a nerd. DEAL WITH IT!

Hope to see some faces I know, hope to meet some that I don't, and I hope that I don't spend my life savings while I'm there (or not ^____^)

The title doesn't lie, after a 3-day fight with UPS, it finally arrived. My suit, courtesy of  tearsoffallenangels is a full suit of my main fursona, Mordechai, the red and yellow Ticelynx. It's not professional, but for the price I paid for it, I got more than I should have. I've tried on everything but the bodysuit so far. My biggest concern is the head, which is a tad snug, but wearable. I'm shocked how good the vision is.
