To Forest
Posted a year agoWords will never be enough, there isn't a form of expression, communication, observation or anything else that could encompass half of the love Forest had in his heart for those who shared this world with him. Language has never felt so inept at conveying the depth of heartbreak I feel. Forest was an angel, kind and self sacrificing, generous in word and deed, he set aside months of his own drawing time to help raise money for trans friends in need. He was always wishing he could give more to others in terms of time, wishing he could give more to those who supported his art, wanting to make the world a better place, educating others on consent and advocating for safe spaces. He was a pillar of the community he helped build and I have been honored and humbled to call Forest my friend. Those who knew him had the pleasure of knowing true kindness, his appreciation and encouragement of all around him, his ability to make others smile and laugh, sharing stories and jokes and memories with so many who loved him and his work. Beyond anything that he created, he grew a community full of people who followed in his footsteps, picking up on the traits of kindness, humor, care, supportiveness and patience. I love you Forest, I thank whatever luck or fate brought you into my life and changed me forever.

Posted 4 years agoToday I have to say goodbye to my best friend.
I dont think it will last, but i feel happy right now; content and at peace
these last 5 hours with him are going to be hard of course but he's had a good life, ive learned from him and taken good care of him with alexis. He's as good as they come any gods that may exist will be lucky, and humbled, to have him be in their presence. He's never going to go far he'll be in my heart forever and his spirit will be in our home. He deserves to go with dignity, as himself; before his dementia claims any more of him. His body is healthy. He never knew the bodily failures of old age or the pains of cancer. Death will take his paw and lead him into his beyond no bitter kiss from the reaper for him, only for us as ones who must say goodbye but a lifetime of happiness is what he leaves with us, and not just his lifetime.
Thank you for everything Buster, be at peace, you've earned your rest.

You voted for a rapist, a con man, a criminal, and a racist. Everyone who supported and suppots Trump can choke. Cops are taking pictures with white supremicists waving confederate flags at the US capitol building. Just MONTHS ago the US capitol was filled with troops in combat gear to stop BLM from saying "don't murder us anymore" and now literally confederate sympathizers are storming the capitol, stealing US congressional property, firing bullets into the Senate chamber, and cops.are.just.standing there. This isn't white privilege this is white power, the entire barefaced movement of "blue lives matter" and "not all cops" is a farce. There is no where they should be less forgiving than on the steps of our capitol building and these people smashed the windows, captured the house chamber and broke into the offices of united states elected officials.
The turnout in Georgia is historic because it was a massive, dedicated, coordinated effort to get around voter suppression. Black voters flipped the state, there isn't another way to look at it, the south isn't Red because its all hicks, its red because republicans have kneecapped insititutions that would be willing to reform the processes to make them fair, because republicans can't win a fair fight, they haven't won a popular vote since GHWB, george bush jr both terms and trump lost the popular vote. This country is filled with people who don't want to believe things are as bad as they are but how the FUCK else can you justify police taking selfies with terrorists when the same officers KILLED peaceful protesters demanding justice for black lives being killed on camera in the street.

all cops are bastards, not because every individual who dons a police uniform is evil, but because the institution they swear loyalty to is evil. It is racist, corrupt, violent and exists to enforce laws that have been unjust and oppressive since day 1 of this country.
the police don't exist to protect, they exist to serve as a bludgeon to keep people in line so the rich can get richer and say "can the poor can die a little quieter please, you'll get blood on my boots"
