Posted 13 years agoSo, as some of you may know, a rather silly campaign designed to spread negativity about Misha Collins has been created on twitter and is due to take place tomorrow, May 31st. The perpetrators have been trying to encourage people to send hateful messages to Misha and even try to 'get him fired'. While this campaign is doomed to fail, we still don't want Misha to see any of the hate it may create. So instead, let's flood him with love.
Tomorrow, May 31st, will be We Love Misha Collins Day. We are using the tag #welovemishacollins, so let's put our twitters to good use and get it trending. Put it in any and every tweet, on- or off-topic, profound or trivial. Also, don't forget to send beautiful 140 character-short messages to mishacollins and, if you like, express how much we love and appreciate him on Supernatural to the cw_network.

Posted 13 years agoJust because some fans are okay with Sam and Dean being apart, DOESN'T MEAN WE'RE FULLY AT BAT FOR CASS.
Remember: SAM DID JUST FINE WHEN HE WAS HUNTING FOR A YEAR BEFORE HE REUNITED WITH DEAN. Granted, he was a soulless dickbag, but hey, who cares.
And it's not the same for everyone. Yeah, I'm mad at Cass, because the whole leviathinh shit was his fault. And the fact that he initially refused to go with the boys to stop dick.
And I happen to LIKE Dean's new jacket, thank you very much. I like the fact that Jensen had a hand in the design. Frankly, I'm happy he has it. The show is entering a new era. Cass' wardrobe is different, Baby's been gone, Bobby's died. THINGS NEED TO CHANGE ON A TV SHOW. The writers reconize this, and is why they've changed things.
As for the topic of "Supernatural is about the human blah blah about Sam and Dean", it's not. It's a show about the Winchesters and their allies protecting their world from the SUPERNATURAL. HENCE THE NAME SUPERNATURAL. Not the "Sam and Dean" show, not the "Castiel" show, JUST SUPERNATURAL. Supernatural has more recurring SUPERNATURAL characters than humans. Cass, Crowley, Zach, Uriel, Ruby, Meg, ALL SUPERNATURAL.
And another thing: IT'S A FUCKING TV SHOW. Just because an actor plays a character as he's written, down't mean you get to automatically hate on an actor. WE AREN'T THE WRITERS. We can't do shit about Sam, Dean, and Cass' predicament. THE WRITERS CAN. And really, I'm pretty sure they've got shit figured out on their end. If you don't like how the show is going, tough luck. Stop hating on Misha, and stop hating on the writers. GET OVER IT.
And if you can't get over it, stop watching the show, and stop hating Destiel fans, and STOP HATING MISHA COLLINS.

Posted 13 years agoNASA’s 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (SCA) with space shuttle Discovery on top will fly above sections of the Central Florida coastline and Brevard County on Tuesday, April 17 starting at about 7 a.m. EDT. This will be the final time Discovery will take to the skies over Florida’s Space Coast as the spacecraft will be headed to its new home at the Smithsonian in Virginia.
The Space Coast fly over is expected head south from Kennedy down the coastline past Patrick Air Force Base and then head back up north along the coast to Kennedy where it will make a pass over the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex and shuttle runway one last time before the SCA heads out of the area.
Discovery will be carried to Washington Dulles International Airport in Sterling, Va., and then offloaded and transferred to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum’s Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Va. for permanent public display on April 19. Before landing at Dulles on Tuesday, the SCA and Discovery are expected to fly near a variety of landmarks in the metropolitan Washington, D.C., area between 10 and 11 a.m.
NASA Television will provide live video of Discovery’s departure from Kennedy and fly over of the Space Coast and of the arrival at Dulles and fly over of Washington. A final weather briefing will occur at 4:30 a.m. tomorrow morning to give the final go for the ferry flight.
Coverage of ferry flight events will be broadcast live starting at 6:45 a.m. on KSC internal cable Channels 7 and 46 and on NASA Television which can be viewed online at http://www.nasa.gov/ntv.

Supernatural- Season 6 Quick Review

SPOLIERS!
Season six really irritated me at first. Sam was brought in too early, and his coldness was too evident. I didn't like that Cass wasn' brought in until the third episode, and bringing on the weight of a war with him.
Character Evals
Sam Winchester
Although Souless!Sam was cool, he was a neat bit to Sam's character, a man who didn't really care about anything.
And Death. Death is an awesome character, and his actor is friggin' awesome!
I was so happy when Sam had his soul back, but I was worried about his wall. I figured it would collapse at some point, but I didn't expect it would be because of Cass.
Dean Winchester
As for Dean, poor guy! His poor girlfriend and son are getting tossed around. I did cry when Cass erased Lisa and Ben's memories of Dean, poor guy loved her! And how he's torn between his loyalty for Cass. Dude's his best friend! Dean needs a break.
Castiel
Sigh. Cassie, you're ruining your life, dude. But I can see why he wen into war with Raphael. Really, to protect the world he spent two years. But his sneaking around and lying to his friends really screwed him over in the end.

Really, at first (season one), I hated Sam. I hated how he always seemed to pick fights with John and Dean, and he seemed like a hate-able character.
But the Season 2 premiere made me change my mind. Sam was a very caring, emotional person who loved his brother AND his father. And then Madison.

I started to like Sam a lot by season 3. And I started to notice how pretty Jared is when he started the current Sammy hair cut.

Other than the fact that Zachary Quinto is a beefcake (even though he's gay, he's still a beefcake), Sylar has been an appealing character since season 1 of the show. He's malevolent, evil, and overall a great supervillian. Not a genius, not even a rich man, Gabe was tossed around in his childhood, and thrown at every odd that could pop in his way. And when he discovered he could absorb powers by touching the brain of victims, he eventually became a serial killer. Gabriel has a feelings about murdering, his powers make him hungry for more.
He eventually cleans up during season 4 of Heroes, and becomes himself a hero, learning how to cope with the hunger that forces him to kill.
This is why Sylar is number three on Favorite Character Week.

I decided instead of character back-stories, I'd talk about why I love these characters.
Why do I love Dean? He's just adorable. A loving brother, best friends with an angel, and a man for family. And whenever I see him and Lisa together...woo boy. Under what looks like a rugged exterior, Dean is actually broken inside. But when anything threatens his family, Dean's ready to kick some ass.
I've been in love with his character since I first saw season one. Dean's a fighter, and he usually refuses to give up. His character has developed from a rough, kid hunter into a man who's goal is to rid the world of evil.
I love Dean, which is why he is number two on Favorite Character Week.Character Week- Day 1

Castiel first appeared in Season Four of Supernatural in "Lazarus Rising", originally advertised as a demon to casting agents. Misha Collins auditioned and got the part, where he was then told Castiel was going to be an angel for the upcoming Apocalypse arch of the series. From then to Season Six, Cass (Castiel's nickname, given to him by Dean) has stolen fangirls from both Sam and Dean, and has become and important character on the show, landing Misha a starring role on the series.
Season Four (Year One)
Castiel was originally an emotionless, obeying warrior of God, who returns to Earth for the first time in 2000 years to aid other angels to free Dean Winchester from hell. (Castiel, as fate would have it, is the one who rescues Dean) As Cass spends more time with Sam and Dean, and watching what his brothers do during the fight to stop the Apocalypse, he discovers that his brothers don't want to stop it. Angered by what his brothers are causing and the loyalty he has developed with the boys, he then battles on the human's behalf.
Season Five (Year 2)
As Castiel is brought back to life by God, and Lucifer is free from hell, Cass finds the boys and aids them in stopping the final battle between Michael and Lucifer. As he goes on, he begins to drain out and lose his powers. There is an episode, "The End", where Dean is sent five years into the future and meets a powerless Castiel who's addicted to painkillers and women. At the far end of the season, he is completely powerless and is killed by Lucifer. At the end, Cass is brought back yet again by God, heals Dean and Bobby, and heads to the cage to save Sam.
Season Six (Year 3)
Cass has returned to heaven, only to find out that Raphael, who had killed him three years earlier, is back and wants to rule heaven. Cass decides he cannot let that happen, and wages war. As Sam searches for his soul and Dean is caught between leaving his family and joining his brother, Castiel attempts to balance both worlds, keeping his loyalty with the angels and the boys on a teeter. By the end of the season, Cass realizes he's losing his war, and is desperate. Opening Purgatory, or Monster Hell, Castiel absorbs the souls and destroys Raphael. He also proclames that he is the new God, and goes out to right the wrongs of the world.
Season 7
"Meet the new Boss"
After appearing at a small church to kill a hypocrite, he replaces a small stain-glass work of Jesus with his own image (or his vessel's image). After Sam and Dean summon Cass, they find his vessel is burning up from the inside, beginning to implode. Dean warns Cass that he'll die if he doesn't release the souls, but Castiel scoffs at Death's warnings and threatens to kill him. As Castiel leaves, he appears in a campaign office to kill another hypocrite. But he black out, and wakes covered in blood and everyone in the office is dead. Frightened by what happened, Cass returns to Sam and Dean, begging for their help. Cass apologizes to his friends, and releases the souls. After that, he discovers that a certain breed of monster called the Leviathan attack the boys and take over Cass's vessel, their presence causing Cass to bleed black sludge. The Leviathan then escape, looking for a way to find hosts.
"Hello, Cruel World"
As the Levis take Cass to a nearby reservoir, his vessel begins to explode, and the Levis need a way out. they release themselves in the water and Cass is nowhere to be found when Sam, Dean, and Bobby catch up, only finding Cass's trench coat.
"The Born-again Identity"
As Sam suffers from Lucifer, Dean searches for a healer known as Emmanuel, who turns out to be an amnesiac Castiel. As Meg joins the former friends, Cass begins to discover himself and remember who he truly is: a messed up angel. Angered and ashamed by when he has done in the past, Cass seeks out Sam and tries to repair the wall in his head, only to find out that Sam's mind has crumbled too far. So he transfers Sam's delusions into his own mind, causing him to see Lucifer. Meg decides to stay with him, obviously because of certain "feelings". Oh, and friendship.
