Things haven't exactly been great for the last few weeks. First, a couple of friends I know off the internet started calling me every. single. day since a little while before Christmas, needing me to stay on the phone with them at least an hour each despite the fact that I told them there was something I HAD to get done for the 1st.
After that, I got a terrible case of the shakes a few days ago, and can't draw smooth lines to save my life.

Don't worry though, I'm still working on my part of the trade event, it's just coming along VERY slowly thanks to all of that. ^ :C

I'll be turning 22 on the 14th.

And I'm still trying to figure out a better username for myself.

P.S. I don't think there are too many people who'll see this, but prepare for a minor artflood in the next couple of weeks if I get into a good pace when it comes to drawing. C:

Just wanted to let people in the group know that once I get profiles up for my characters, I'm looking to have them assigned to rooms with other students. Not sure just who they should be roomed with yet, so I'll make another journal about it when I get those profiles up.

About the account thing, I wanted to give some warning ahead of time that once I find a good enough name, I'll be moving to another account. I've gotten... well, sick of the username I've been using. No drama or changing fursona/personas, I'm just... tired of it not being good enough.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that if/when I can come up with a name I'm reasonably satisfied with, I'll post another journal or update my page, and inform everyone about the new account in a shout on the PCA group page.

Update: I may be taking suggestions on a new username if they're good.

Starting soon I'll be putting more effort/time into getting art done. Hopefully I'll eventually have some stuff that doesn't suck, but I'm not getting my hopes up yet.

I also wanted to get that old report about my computer off my page. >_>;

Back in early fall, my computer died AGAIN. (I got completely sick of it after the *FIRST* couple times)
So finally I got things to work out so that I would be getting a whole new computer, but not from the people who I had bought the last computer from.
I was supposed to be getting it for my birthday, but it ended up being finished and ready to use late November, and I got it set up in my room within the last few weeks. (..And it looks AWESOME. :D )
Like a comedy of errors, right when I was going to (or able to) post what I had been working on while my computer was down, I find that FA had gone down and had to be moved to new servers. >_<
As for what happened in between the site coming back up and now, things have been pretty busy on my end what with preparations for the holidays and such.

I am not going anywhere NEAR using the old computer again unless I missed some files to back up. I don't trust it at ALL.

The good news is that I got something back that is (currently) working, the bad news is that they *did* find loopholes that meant that they didn't have to exchange the computer, so I'll be waiting until this thing dies again within the next four months...
At least it's working well now, but I'm almost afraid to use this computer after the frequency and severity of crashes.

My sister did some research into the problem my computer was getting, and it turns out a lot more people are getting the same or similar problems with the particular combination of computer manufacturer and OS. HP (pavillion?) and Vista, for those wondering. v_v
The repair crew at the store I bought this computer at has a policy of exchanging the computer if it fails and needs to be brought in four times (wouldn't three times make more sense?), so hopefully the chances of getting a dud this time will be less. That and I intend to wipe the HD(s) after getting the new one (or getting this one back if they find a loophole o_o ) and reinstalling a non-proprietary OS in the place of what they will have put on it. I may or may not have some trouble finding drivers, but I should be able to deal with that eventually.

Also, thanks for all the comments on the last few journals, hopefully whatever I get after this will work well enough that I won't ever have to post another "technical difficulties" journal here for a LONG time.

My computer broke down around a week ago. ...again (third time). That would be why I've been away for awhile and not even commenting on stuff I want to contribute to. >_>;
The repair seems to have gone well this time, so hopefully my computer will STAY working this time, unless I tempted fate just then. I'm still reinstalling/fixing the programs I lost after the repair (some needed to be reinstalled after the LAST repair), but it doesn't seem to be much of a problem this time. ...Aside from an MMO subscription canceling during the time when I couldn't use my computer. ._. Hopefully I can fix that soon.
Anyways, hope that explains things. I'm also pondering getting a new username if it'll work better, but chances are against it.

So, my computer broke down for the second time in the year since I got it last summer. I think they must have built this thing to fail or something... At least it's working again now that I got it back from repairs again this last wednesday, and I was lucky to arrange that only their best people would be working on it this time. >_>;
If anyone is wondering why I wasn't active for a long while, hopefully that explains it, and I hope my computer keeps working for another year at least without breaking again. x_x

About four weeks ago my computer finally broke down after bluescreening every now and then since I got it a few months ago. I had to send it in for repairs because I bought a service plan for it when I got it. Turns out that might not have been the best idea, since when I sent it in, the people working on it passed it on successively to the next person down, not telling the next person what they had already done, so basically they did the same tests on it for two or three weeks until I got it back.
I guess they either were too overworked and stressed from other repairs, or they kept handing it to the new inexperienced people, but it resulted in my computer having the main hard drive wiped to solve the problem they never really found out. ._.; I got my computer back to find out I had lost almost everything important on it, a few errors (like it thinking it was a laptop). I was only able to get it running now after finding a replacement copy of the security software. Yes, they didn't bother replacing that when they wiped it. Oddly, my documents folder and my secondary hard drive survived.
Ugh. I thought they would have fixed the computer, not make it just as bad off. The staff there were supposed to be supergeeks or something... Well, at least I can start looking through the months worth of submissions from artists I'm watching now. ._.;

I guess the last journal I did was really controversial, holy crud. ._.; I'd rather not have it sitting there on my main page, but people can still check it if they want to.
On another note, I finally got my printer/scanner working, so I don't have to worry about not being able to scan stuff unless it breaks or something..

The world? I don't know, I'm Canadian. But to me it doesn't matter what race or gender of person is elected president, just so long as they're good. Also, I think it would fail if someone like *ahem*Palin*cough* was elected, but that's my opinion from what seen about stuff she's done. o_o

5. Do you believe in the death penalty?
It depends. They'd have to make sure the justice system was run on truth, not power/politics/does-it-favour-me so that they wouldn't end up with anyone innocent. It should probably only be done for complete psychopaths who have no hope of being rehabilitated, and only by a method of execution that was painless and quick..

6. Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already?
If people higher up would let it, yes. It could help a lot more people for medicinal use than they're letting (without being raided) currently.

I dunno, it depends on your morals. I wouldn't know since I'll probably... nevermind.

Yes, but unlike a lot of people out there, I think he/she/whatever has taken a non-interference pact or something. I mean, who learns anything if there's some power out there that makes you do the right thing regardless of free will?

Yeah, people who are gay/lesbian have just as much of a right to marry each other as us heterosexuals.

Uh... that's way too young. I think it depends on if her or relatives can raise the baby well or not.

Heck yeah, too many people have died or had their lives ruined due to serious injury already. ._. And isn't it just for the oil anyway? D:

I don't know. I mean, if someone is comatose, they don't have a say, but if they're in a state where life is a living hell, there's no hope for things getting better, and they're begging for it, maybe. I'm not sure yet.

Kinda a tough one. It depends, it can't ever get to the point of abuse, ever, but sometimes it's the only way to get something through to a kid. ._. I just hope that if I ever become a parent, I'll never have to do stuff like that.

I don't know. Maybe only if was something honorable to Americans, and even then I'd probably not be able to decide on whether or not to do it for a long time. Holysh- o_o;

McCain as president? Ohgod. He'd probably die and have Palin replace him. O ..Definately Obama, at least he's focusing on telling people what he intends to make better, not constantly putting down the other candidate..

I'm working on a team for the  PokeCombatAcademy, but I'm still missing ideas for some of the characters, mainly the fourth who I still haven't been able to decide on her species yet. The main point of this is to see what people think might be some good ideas, which I'll probably turn into a poll for the last character. If I can finish the drawings of the other three characters, I'll submit them with some info, but I still can't decide on a hairstyle for my female flygon. I know someone else already made a character for that pokemon, so if you guys really don't want me to use her, I'll put her as a reserve instead.

I've had a team "in the works" for a while now since I wasn't able to get myself to draw for a long time, but I was hoping to finally be able to finish and submit the drawings for at least a whole team for the PokeCombatAcademy, but I'm still missing some ideas. >_<;
I was hoping that I could get some help with some of them, for example; the fourth member of the team is still open for me to change species and stuff.

Eh. Just wanted to get that other journal off my main page, I guess.

I've been thinking of drawing again, but in order to do anything with it, since I draw with pen/pencil and paper, I have to scan it into my computer. Problem is, that I'm not the only person in my family who needs to use a scanner, and I'd rather not have to go to my dad's PC to scan my artwork, so it kinda makes things difficult, in that in order for anyone to scan something, the one, lone scanner in my house has to be moved from one computer to another, and it gets a bit annoying after a while. So, if me or someone else in my family will be able to afford it, I'd probably have to get my own scanner, instead of having to take the other one "on loan" from my dad.
Not really sure what I can say, since this is my first journal here, though. x_x;
