General | Posted 11 years agoSo, i got 5K for christmas from my grandfather. I spent it on fixing the van, and getting a 13 inch HD cintiq tablet. I'm in LOVE! So far 2 pieces of artwork. I hope this will break me out of my art block after almost 10 years of not doing art. Here's to hoping!

Rainfurrest post con report

we played a 3 and a half hour game of Zombie Flux where tom took a 30 minute turn and had a blast doing so.
Saw a lot of really awesome people and some really kick ass suits. I didn't get to see much of the con as i was either sleeping or working in either art show or art jam. I did stay up all night Saturday into Sunday, and my meds weren't working really well and i got really angry about 7 am. I figured it was better for me to not work art show and risk blowing up at people for possible perceived slights that might occur. I told someone about it, but when i went to talk to James, he wasn't able to talk to me and I wasn't able to explain myself. so yea, i feel really bad about bailing on him, but i need to do what I need to do to keep my sanity stable and not lash out at people and give the con a negative impression.
All in all, it was a great success!

Mortain Rainfurrest Chocolate Screaming Orgasm Cookies!
General | Posted 14 years agoFor those of you who know me know I bring cookies to rainfurrest every single year. This year, I am parting with my recipe so others may make them and enjoy them for other events or at home. I will be handing out a limited number of copies of this at the con (I'm taking 39 with me). so if you see me, go ahead and ask for a copy!
Mortain Lumpen’s Rainfurrest Chocolate Screaming Orgasm Cookies of Doom!
6 cups all-purpose flour (Unsifted)
2 ¼ Cup 100% dark bakers cocoa (Higher quality the better)
3 Teaspoons baking soda
1 ½ teaspoon kosher salt
6 teaspoons real vanilla extract (don’t use the imitation stuff)
3 ¾ cup Unsalted sweet cream butter (8 ½ sticks)@ room temperature
6 cups sugar (if using splenda, add 1 cup water and 5 tablespoons oil to mix to increase moisture)
6 eggs at room temperature
10 oz. Peanut Butter chips (usually one bag)
10 oz. 60% Cacao bittersweet chocolate chips (I usually use Ghirardelli’s brand)
10-12 oz. Milk chocolate chips (again Ghirardelli’s brand)
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Stir together dry ingredients (flour, bakers cocoa, baking soda and salt.)
3. Beat separately, butter and sugar in large bowl with mixer until very creamy and almost white.
4. Add eggs and vanilla to butter/sugar mix and beat well again till creamed.
5. Gradually add in flour mixture stirring by hand (or using your washed hands) in 5 equal parts.
6. Combine all chips together until evenly mixed
7. Once all ingredients are incorporated well (it should look like dark mud) stir in chocolate and peanut butter chips until distributed evenly throughout the mixture, making sure to scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl well.
8. Using a small spoon (or smallish cookie scoop) drop rounded teaspoons onto an un-greased cookie sheet, spaced evenly.
9. Bake8-9 minutes. (Do not over bake! Cookies are meant to be soft! The cookies wills lightly puff up while baking and collapse when pulled out to cool. This is O.K.)
10. Let cool slightly before removing them from the sheet to give them time to set up (a couple of minutes should do.)
11. Remove to cooling racks to finish cooling. Keep handling to a minimum as cookies might break and fall apart if still warm.

The cookies don’t do well with lots of handling. Store in airtight container. Goes well with milk. Makes A LOT of cookies (like 12+ dozen)!

Delving back into the World of Darkness
General | Posted 14 years agoSo, as some of you might not know, I'm an avid roleplayer junkie. It's my crack. I love to roleplay and i do it somewhat well. I can usually adapt to any game, but I keep going back to my old standbys for fun.
Recently I started getting back into White Wolf's old World of Darkness, and have found a few places online that still play. I'll see how my welcome goes in some of them.
The place in furcadia is hurting for players, like really bad. the most I've seen on is like 10, tops, while Immortal Vigilance has 30 and up at any one point in time. I might be pulling away from the furcadia one in favor of IV just for the sake of players, I dunno yet. All anyone does in furcadia is sit around and do nothing but talk out of character.
And OMFG the vampire st's mortal plot device (if you understand the game mechanics you'll understand this, App 6, potent blood, and mortal.) WTF is this shit? People will literally have heart attacks viewing her. And potent blood? She's a handy snack in a sabbat controlled city. but yet she still survives because OMFG She's the st's plot device. I just got done looking at all of my old journals, and god damn did I have problems. I still do at times, but I'm working on them. Being bi-polar sucks, Being boarderline personality disorder sucks. And being depressed sucks most of all. I'm just a ball of blegh....
For those of you who don't know... I don't really do art anymore, I just lurk here to watch my friends. I was involved in a house fire feb 09 and lost 99% of my stuff. Including all my artwork, two cats, a best friend, and all the other stuff you accumulate with life. So my heart isn't in the art anymore. This is the second time in my life all my artwork has gone poof. I may from time to time kick out something crappy... as time goes by, the skills fade, and I really don't care to keep them honed.
So it is what it is... and that is that.

General | Posted 17 years agoSo.. my dad died recently and I'm still trying to get over that. Also trying to get my life together after a year. I hate not being able to date but I promised myself a while ago after the last real big breakup from Shaun that I wouldn't rush into another one. So Next month I get to start casually looking for someone to date again. Not that anyone will ever date my fat butt, but hey, if they can't get past my size, then I don't want those kind of shallow people around me.
I've been working a lot on rigganmore.com. A pet site I'm working on to get going so people can have fun breeding, playing raising and battling pets.
Other than that, fighting off depression the usual course of life. My meds are good, they keep me from going psychotic on people.

General | Posted 19 years agoMy god How I hate them. And when you've known them for years, it makes the knife cut all that more deep. Someone I considered my sister, beloved to my heart, stole from me some things that are of irrelivance at this point. The fact that she took these things then later lied about it, even when confronted with the proof of her theft baffles me and now I realize, I can truely trust no one, even if you think you've known them for years. So I've cut out my online family, I have none now. I rely only on those I can judge face to face and get a good judge of their character.

My rollercoster that has become my emotions over the years swing up and down on a penjulum of insane sswirls and twists. One minut, I'm happy as fuck, the other, ready to litterally stab something in the neck. Trust me.. I've had to have people take sharp pointy things from me before.
There's something to be said for this pony's temper. And unfortunatly it's about all people remember. Do they bother to ask "gee, I wonder why she's so pissed off.." instead they call me a cunt, a bitch, a stupid emo whore (and I depspise emo), and throw a shitload of fucking lables at me that they think fit.
Well gess the fuck what. Stick em on yourselved next time you anal washed cum-dumpsters! You lable me because you don't fucking know me. Grow the fuck up.
If I had a majic pill, Iwould pop one in a heartbeat.. but I don't. So ya'll can fucking tollerate me, in all of my moods, good and bad.
For those of you I seem to think where my friends.. who also want to try and lable me.. You can go fuck off too. Right now I don't have an explination for these wild moodswings, and nore can I afford the diaagnosis crap that may be needed. Unless you want to shell out the cash for it, shut the fuck up.

General | Posted 19 years agoGruntor died this last sunday. He was an 8 week old male tuxedo kitten that had been rescued from my freinds roomates on saturday. Extremly malnurished, underweight and litteraly skin and bones, we took him to the vet at Banfield. They did what they could for us, on a limited budget that my friends had. But sadly he was already too far gone for us to save really.
I held him as he died, his little limp boddy struggling for life. He tried to fight, tried to drink, but his body just would not listen. So now he lays, buried in an unused wiccan circle, under the northern keystone.
As another friend said... At least he found a warm place to die, where at least for a day, he knew someone loved him and honestly tried...
I wonder.. could have I have done more...
