Why did I chose my username/nickname: I needed a new handle, so I combined two things I liked: morticians and cartoons.
Average hours of sleep: i can get etiher 3-4 or 11-12.

Play Any Instruments?: Could play a bit of piano, but I was always awful at it.
What I am wearing: Final Fantasy shirt and sweatpants.
Dream job: Being paid to make my webcomic. The dream, lol!
Dream trip: Taiwan, Japan, and I'd love to visit my friends everywhere LOL

Posted 8 years agoBeen a long while since I updated my journal. I need to slowly bring in art I've made-- I feel like I'm holding out on y'all!
Had my first two cons since then, and wow! They're a lot of work, but they're really fun!
Scarlet says I should try out making some Overwatch stuff, so I'm gonna try and make those, along with more silhouette prints!

I do a lot of work for my webcomic, and I may post up pages of interest (ones that I feel are really good) but I won't clog your feed with update posts! (Unless you'd like me to!)
I mostly do small illustrations and backgrounds/concept art! I was a bit worried because for a while, I thought I could only post furries on FA-- but I'm glad to know I can show my breadth of work on here!

My name is Threnody JG, though I go by Thren, or Mort!
-I make the webcomic Comicide! It's like Parks and Recreation mixed with the office scene from Beetlejuice. But with lesbians and Lovecraftian monsters.
-I'm a freelance colorist, with some experience in background painting for animation! I also flat for the webcomic Saffron and Sage!
-I'm a huge enthusiast of Sonic the Hedgehog*, as well as hilariously bad movies (such as The Room, Neil Breen's Double Down, et cetera).
-Despite this, I do love actually great movies, such as Blade Runner and John Carpenter's The Thing.
-My main style inspirations are Sonic the Hedgehog, Osamu Tezuka, Go Nagai, and George Kamitani! My process is inspired a lot by oil painting.
(*I will acknowledge the flaws in a lot of the 3D games, don't worry)
