I updated my Itaku.
Posted a week agofinally… it’s just recent art i’ve posted here already, thats it.
kinda at a loss for words on it…
Posted 2 weeks agoStarting to see ai art creep into scrapbook paper packs at the arts and crafts stores. I honestly don’t know how to feel at this point. I’m not surprised but at the same time it feels off in a whole different liminal sort of way. Like this weird ouroboros of artificial art feeding back into traditional organic medias. I’ve seen it before, traditional artists using ai art as inspiration or reference and then painting traditionally from that. Most media vectors are increasingly becoming inundated with ai content. It makes me wonder at what point such things just become second nature to some degree and it just unintentionally influences artists works regardless of avoidance.
Mmm I should probably update my Itaku.
Posted a month agoAt least try to keep it up to date with my posts here.
been burried in 3d technical art as of late.
Posted 2 months agoGetting faster at messing with vrc avatar stuff but it does take up my evenings. I’ll have results to post soonish. Then it’s back to my quirky doodle posts for a bit.
Furality was fun!
Posted 3 months agoFurality Somna was this weekend and it was pretty fun! Probably the most active I’ve been on VRchat despite my work schedule during the weekend. Wish there were more vr conventions like it.
im around
Posted 7 months agobeen buried in deeper 3d projects as of late…
Busy
Posted 10 months agoSchedule got tossed into a flux irl, I’ll post when I can.
Posting schedule 🗓️
Posted 11 months agoI tried doing twice weekly posting but my schedule got crazy irl. I’m confident though I got a sturdy weekly posting habit down. So as per the pattern yall may have noticed I’ll be posting on Wednesdays.
Color gamut exploration.
Posted a year agoBig thanks to the incredibly informative responses to my previous journal. It’s given me the information to find the joy of using a more limited de-saturated pallet, leaving the full saturated colors as an ace up the sleeve so to say for lights and effects. Thanks again for yall’s attention!!
Question about monitor colors.
Posted a year agoI’ve noticed it between my monitors. Any color on an Ipad or Iphone screen with retina display that looks less saturated, tends to look oversaturated or blown out on an srgb monitor. How much does this affect how my art looks to everyone? I’m tempted to just start making digital art on an srgb monitor just because of that inconsistency.
Retro photgraphy.
Posted a year agoGoing to sprinkle some Gameboy Camera photos in my scraps. Their so smol and lo rez, expect to see more.
Stay warm everybody.
Posted a year agoDrink the hot drinks and enjoy the hot soups! 🍲 ☕️
Merry Christmas! 🎄
Posted a year agoStay safe, and enjoy time with your loved ones~
Too busy.
Posted a year agoI want more time for art…
Too much to do.
Posted 2 years agoNever enough time… Not sure when I’ll leave my blue phase. Gonna try to catch up on stuff this week, almost skipped September entirely on posts.
Super Blue Moon
Posted 2 years agoIt’s super bright everything's bathed in twilight! The sky's even a tinge of silvery blue.
Paint or Smooth
Posted 2 years agoI’m still torn between smooth gradients and painterly strokes. I know I can work the two together but it’s just deciding which i want to use to render the focal points. Will try to post tonite.
Posting schedule adjustment.
Posted 2 years agoYet another adjustment to my posting times, I want to try getting my site ecosystem more active. I’m going to attempt to have Wednesday be the posting day on all my sites: Fa, tumblr, Weasyl, Instagram, and now Itaku.
This means though I’ll probably be back down to one post a week (was kinda running out of steam trying 2 posts a week but it was a good litmus test).
That Wednesday post may shift a day on occasions but the goal is still once a week.
Thanks for sticking with me through it and thanks for the comments!

Pardon the sloppy posting schedule.
Posted 2 years agoIt’s kinda just degraded into two posts near the end of the week.
32023
Posted 2 years agoA rare day. (I’m sleep deprived, have a nice day 🐁 )
Adjusting Posting schedule.
Posted 2 years agoGonna try to post digital art on Wednesdays and traditional art on Fridays. Still trying to get an active posting schedule before opening commissions up.
Screams In Crayon
Posted 2 years agoLegitimately a serious power outage a couple years ago scared me to look back into traditional art out of fear of loosing my digital tools… And it still feels like an existential crisis.
🔸🌟 Looking forward in 2023 🌟🔸
Posted 2 years agoYa’ll may see more traditional and 3d work (and maybe some weird mix of the two going forward) Both are areas I’ve found myself to be weakest in.
As much as I’ve enjoyed the digital medium its stunted my growth in my process of painting. A lot of the neat tricks, shortcuts, and the UNDO button 👀, don’t translate to physical medias. So at this point I’m aiming to strengthen my experience and knowledges in traditional medias because much of that does translate into digital media.
3D art is one media I’ve had a strange relationship with. It still intrigues and interests me due to its versatility in video games and animation. But it is quite an extensive field in its own right that scares me a way due to the sheer amount of work it takes. So its a practice in patience and time management to avoid burnout.
If I crack open commissions again, and I may need to, those will be most likely be digital media in process and creation. I’ve been tinkering with a strange personal type of alias brush work so that just as people can distinguish oil from acrylic, I want digital to be distinguished harkening back to those old days where dithering was the only way to blend stuff.
Thank ya’ll for sticking with me so far I hope to be more active and have something to show for it in 2023!
