I have multiple things STILL for sale here on my page that HAVE to go! The fiance lost his job near the end of January. On President's Day there was a lot of ice on the ground where I live and he fell on the stairs out front while carrying our baby girl out to the car so that we could take her to a doctor's appointment. Since he has no job, he has no insurance. We are currently a one income household with a mortgage, utility bills, a four month old, my hospital bills from delivery last October, and now his hospital bills from breaking his elbow. ><;
We got our taxes back but with several other bills we had, which are still not completely paid off, we are already down to nothing but what little bit I make. We are currently easily almost $3k in debt and any help we can get from selling what little I can will go a long way.

Need a room for AC?

I have a room booked and the first night paid for for AC, BUT I have to get rid of said room as due to health issues (preggers, need the vacation time for part of my maternity leave), I am, sadly, unable to go. The room is at the DoubleTree Hotel that is 4 blocks away from the convention center, it was the closest I could get when I booked. It's a 2 double bed, nonsmoking room. Arrival is set for July 3 as I was leaving Missouri early that morning so I wouldn't have to deal with holiday traffic on July 4 and I wanted to be relaxed and able to watch the fireworks for the first time ever in another city. The date that is set to leave is July 8. I
I've already been charged for the first night's stay, $156. The total for the entire stay is $775.20. The first person that can note me, saying with 100% certainty (I cannot stress this part enough!), that they want the room and can send me the $156 immediately along with their real name so that I can put it on the hotel reservation, will get the room. The main reason I'm even offering the room is because I'm sure there's someone out there who is in need of a room for AC and also the fact that I would like to AVOID paying any cancellation fees (especially since who knows if they'll actually refund me the entire amount and not charge the fee after I explain my situation. ><; ).

New Fursona... REVEALED!!!
General | Posted 12 years agoSo this is my new Fursona, and more than likely, at LONG last, my PERMANENT Fursona! :D Her name: Melody Florafae, or Mel or Melfae for short. :D btw, I already made her her own page a while back... a page which is now in sore need of updating and the reveal. I've been working on her and tweaking her for well over a year. Mel is me, but with more... "Oomph" for a lack of a better way of putting it. :) I've lved Snow Leopards for almost as long as I can remember. She was originally created for other reasons, but the more I worked on her, the more I realized that SHE was IT! For those of you that liked Servane Saber, don't worry, I'm fairly certain you're going to like/love Melfae just as much if not possible more so. :) She can be just as hyper and bubbly at times, but she can also be a real crab at times too, just like anyone else, without the shape shifting. I hope to eventually get her made into a fullsuit, but right now, with a baby on the way, I will be very lucky if I can at least get a partial commissioned after I get my taxes back NEXT YEAR. So we'll see what happens. :)

Commissioned Artist Help, Need Advice!
General | Posted 12 years agoOk, so, I commissioned a ref sheet a month ago from someone of my new 'sona. I've seen her do other specials and already have those put up in her gallery. She's currently now dealing with some medical issues which she's doing more emergency commissions for. I haven't gotten a note from her with the sketch of my commission or anything yet. Here's the thing, I'm afraid to contact her and ask what's going on. I know she needs the money from the new batch she's doing to help with her medical problem, so I'm afraid of noting her and coming off like a bitch, which I don't want to do. ._.; She never gave me an ETA of when I'd get my commission but... it's been a month and she has other people ahead of me on her "to do" list, but I'm not sure if she's taken care of them yet either. Would it be right for me to ask her what's going on and ask when I'll be getting my ref? Granted I won't be giving the ref to a fursuit builder for some time since now I'm having a baby and need any funds I can hold onto for the baby but... I'm a little concerned I won't get my ref. >.>; And yes, I've already paid for it. Paid for it up front in full. <.<
No AC... Pregnancy!
General | Posted 12 years agoAs much as I REALLY want to go to AC this year... I really kinda need the vacation time for when the new baby arrives and the money for the baby as well. The fiance and I really didn't think we'd be having a baby so soon after we moved into the new house. I've already spoke to HR at work and I get 6 weeks PTO for maternity leave then I can use 80 of my accrued hours (hours earned for sick time over time) and then if I still want PTO for more bonding time with the new baby, I can use any vacation time I have left.
Well... I'm due on Halloween, I'll be taking time off as soon as I go into labor (yes, working up until my water breaks essentially) so if I'm off until the end of the year, personally, I think that would be awesome. :D So anything I put up for sale on my page will be going towards baby funds. Good lordy baby furniture is stupidly expensive! O.o;
HOWEVER! Assuming my doc clears me to go when the time comes, I will be attending Anime Iowa as a real good friend of mine is a GoH this year! :D I will also be at MFF this year, again, if I'm cleared to go. So A.I. and MFF are still on, AC is not. =/ Besides, MFF lands during my PTO. XD

WATCHERS! Important Life Update!
General | Posted 13 years agoIt's official... I'm 6 weeks, 4 days into pregnancy! Already have ultra sound pics. Fiance and I thought I might be pregnant but I kept telling him he was wrong. I took three tests at three different times on 2 different days... all positive. Some things came up this morning and my yearly exam that was Thursday got moved to this morning... and then it -really- got confirmed that I am indeed pregnant. My due date?
Halloween.
I shit you not! Fiance and I looked at each and started laughing saying, yep, sounds about right for us!
Kinda sucks in a way though... my birthday is October 1. O.o; Hope I can enjoy my own b-day cake that day at least! XD I'll be posting Ultrasound pics later.
Hearing the heartbeat already really drove it home that I'm going to be a MOM! O.O Omg... talk about being happy, excited, and terrified all at the same time! O.O

Ok, seriously guys, I have GOT to get rid of this thing! I'm honestly at my wits end and sick and tired of people noting me saying that they definitely want the suit, ask some questions about it, I answer the questions as honestly as possible and then... nothing. I hear NOTHING back.
FOR THE LOVE OF PETE DON'T NOTE ME ABOUT THE SUIT UNLESS YOU TRULY INTEND TO BUY IT REGARDLESS OF ANY ISSUES WITH IT!!!
How would you like it if you were desperately trying to sell something off only to have me note you about the item, ask some questions, and then disappear off the face of the planet even though you can see on my account that I AM active?!
I'm tired of getting my hopes up that this thing will sell only to have them dashed. I NEED the funds so that I can work on other projects that I HAVE to do! I'm fed up! Note me because you want to buy it or DON'T. I'm TIRED of the flakers! If there was a feedback thread on FA for transactions, there's at least 10 people that I would be leaving feedback on right now about them flaking out.
I'm not trying to sound like a complete and utter bitch, but I'm just so TIRED of the BS.

O.o; Main condition on vacations is that we have them ALL picked out by/before June. So I asked her, does that mean I leave Wednesday (July 3) night, or Wednesday day? She told me I just have to put down the time I need want and if someone else hasn't taken it, it's mine. O.O

General | Posted 13 years agoSo today I asked my supervisor if she had the vacation schedule ready to get passed around yet "No." "Any idea when?" Mind you I was asking this in a purely curious tone. "No, I have no idea when I'll be passing it around." By this time last year she'd already passed it around or at least had started. After I clocked out for the day I then went ahead and told my supervisor that the fiancee and I have a vacation planned out and I actually already have my vacation time planned out. I told her I already had the reservations made. She told me if someone else picks those dates then I'll just have to beg the person who picked them to let me have the dates. She then asked me what the dates were. "I need July 3-8." Without ANY hesitation she tells me "Nope. I blocked out that week this year." I'm thinking, wait, what? First I've heard of this! She had been teasing earlier in the morning saying she'd blocked all vacation requests this year, so of course I'm thinking she's just joking since other co-workers have asked for July 4th and a couple days before/after for vacation in the past and have gotten them. So I simply give a small smile and say "Wait, really? You blocked it?" "Yep, that entire week." At this point I'm slowly becoming frustrated and have to force my voice to stay calm. "Wait, why?" "Because that's our busiest week of the year. I need a full staff so no one goes on vacation that week." I'm seriously struggling not to look at her like she's grown three heads.
For those of you who don't know, I work at a bank. July 4th week is NOT our busiest week of the year, if anything, Labor Day weekend is because it's the first of the month AND a three day weekend.
I am now all but struggling to keep from bursting into tears and proceed to tell her there's an event in Pittsburgh I've been trying to go to for the past five years and that it looked like this would finally be the year when I get to go. I try to give her the guilt trip about me having to cancel my reservations now etc, etc. "Why did you reserve rooms that far ahead? Especially when you didn't know if you would get those dates or not." "That's because this particular event I'm wanting to go to, I have to reserve rooms ahead of time or I won't get a room at all." "Well you know better than to do that." I was absolutely struggling to hold back my tears at this point. I told her fine, I'll see if I can cancel the rooms and I turned and left.
I swear to god, if I don't see an email within the next week to two weeks tops letting ALL the tellers know what our "black out" dates are, I've had it. I'm going to our branch manager and telling her that I need to talk to her, our district, and my supervisor at the same time and I will NOT say what the problem is until the meeting. I'm sick of it. This is the first time in the 4 1/2yrs that I've been there that I've actually seriously wanted a particular holiday off and I'm suddenly told "No." without any REAL reason! I know there's favortism in every job, but the amounts of it I feel I've seen at this job just makes me sick. If this issue can't be resolved, guess what? She WILL be short staffed that week because I swear I WILL be working elsewhere by/before then! Enough is fucking enough! I was so pissed that as soon as I walked out of the building doors I had a tear roll down my cheek and as soon as I closed my car door I was sitting there silently with tears just streaming down. I have to be seriously pissed the fuck off to start crying. Still wanna beat something...
Don't get me wrong, I like my customers, I like my job, I like my co-workers, but I can't take this BS anymore. I'm in pain on almost a daily basis and it's VERY rare that you actually hear me seriously complaining about it. I'm the first one they ask to stay late because a co-worker called in sick. I'm the first one they call to come in early for the same reason. I'm the first one that gets called on to come in, help, etc for many different reasons. Yet the ONE TIME I actually SERIOUSLY want something "Oh, sorry, no, FU."

If it's not resolved, I'm done. I'm looking for something else. I'm sick of it. I will find another job and let that job know up front that I already have plans to be out of town July 3-8, July 26-28, and November 23-25. That the rooms are already bought and paid for and that they have been for a year (they don't need to know if that's true or not. Just that it's booked and I'm going.). So tired of this, I get right at or right before the 5 year mark of a job and then decide I've had enough of whatever BS is going on and I leave. I'm 31, I can't keep doing this but I'm not about to keep dealing with the BS!

General | Posted 13 years agoI'm going to do my damnedest to go to AC this year! I've decided that I'm going to bring my Harley Quinn cosplay with me and would LOVE to have a photoshoot of her with any Hyenas that are roaming about. >:)
My new Fursona will also hopefully be making her debut at AC, I might reveal who/what to look for as the time to AC gets closer and depending on if I can get her done in time. Regardless of whether or not I reveal her ahead of time, I do plan on having MouseyMouse as my badge name, same as at MFF since so many of you know me by Mousey and I don't think I'm going to be able to get away from that name anytime soon if ever. O.o

All funds from ANY and ALL sales I make through my gallery from here out WILL be going to my AC fund. General | Posted 13 years agoSo... last week I was in talks with a friend/co-worker about getting this puppy from someone she's known for years who was in need of a good home. He's 3 months old, an Austrailian Shepherd / Gold Retriever mix. Then my parents come over and inform me my grandfather passed away... I did not go in to work Friday or Saturday. Saturday was the funeral... ALL of it. Grandpa's current wife decided she wanted to do everything the same day, wake, service, burial and fellowship luncheon... I hate the fact that I no longer have him around... but I'm soooo glad I don't have to deal with -her- anymore. NO ONE in the family liked this woman! I mean NO ONE! My one aunt wanted to deck this lady because she was a total bitch to my aunt after the service/before the procession and the lady's one daughter had to get her to knock it off. -_-; UGH!
ANYWAY! Focusing on the semi-positive here! New puppy. We ended up naming him Captain Jack Sparrow.. and that was before we had him in the house and could tell what his personality is like... trust me... Jack is... yeah... the name fits. ><; ANYWAY! Anyone have any house breaking tips? He's pissed on my good silk curtains TWICE. He goes out 1 or more times a hour for 5-30+ minutes... barking pending. Did I mention he barks? A lot? Like right now he's outside barking his head off and then stops for five minutes then starts again. *head desk*
Anyone have ANY advice I could look into? O.o;

We ended up naming him Captain Jack Sparrow.. and that was before we had him in the house and could tell what his personality is like... trust me... Jack is... yeah... the name fits. ><; ANYWAY! Anyone have any house breaking tips? He's pissed on my good silk curtains TWICE. He goes out 1 or more times a hour for 5-30+ minutes... barking pending. Did I mention he barks? A lot? Like right now he's outside barking his head off and then stops for five minutes then starts again. *head desk*

Character Reference Sheet Needed!

I know there's plenty of artists out there who do them and they're quality sheets for decent prices... but I don't know where to start. ><; Any opinions?

O.o; Another friend of mine announced on a group page that girl A and I are members of. Girl B lets everyone know on this group page that she's having a party on such and such date for her birthday and what she wants to do... Girl A then proceeds to leave a comment about how her birthday is like, 7 days from that and it's "not fair". According to Girl A on her own wall on her own page she's never ever EVER had a real birthday party, how she's married and never had a "real" wedding... how she's mad that people are having parties for their half birthdays and she just wants to scream...

Prints For Sale! Heads UP!
General | Posted 13 years agoJust a heads up to all my watchers! I'm going through my photos and picking and choosing what I'm going to put out. The prints will be 8X10 and signed individually by me along with a number. i.e. 1/10, 1/20, etc. I'm going to start the prices for that size at $10 each, if you are in the USA that DOES include mailing. It does NOT include a frame. I will not be providing frames unless I find one too nice to pass up and the print is a OOAK. However, you WILL have to pay for shipping of the photo and frame. The photos are primarily of nature scenes. Flowers, landscapes, etc.
I MIGHT be open to selling prints half the size for half the price. It will depend on the feedback I get from the prints I'll be offering.

I'm 5'9" and 190lbs, still a little baggy on me. From the shoulder seam near the neck to the bottom of the ankle is 60". Comes with hands, attached tail, and head. Was bought as a fixer upper and have had no time to work on it since I got it as other projects came first. So out the door it goes.

I am officially PISSED the FUCK OFF! I swear I just want to kill something! I get home, sit down, talking to the fiance, Cliff, & eventually realize my left hand doesn't feel quite right. I start scratching the back of my hand briefly & realize... my god damn setting snapped OFF. AGAIN! This is the second fucking time in six months! The jeweler who sold Cliff the ring to begin with told him I should be able to hit my ring on anything & it should be fine. Last time he charged Cliff $75 to fix the damn ring... & we HAD the setting with the diamond still in it! I don't have it this time, watch him tell us we have to pay for a new stone, setting & to have it re-set! FUCK THIS SHIT! Mom knows a small way to help. Once it goes through, this guy can kiss our asses. We're NOT going back to him after we bitch him out about the ring breaking AGAIN! This was a CUSTOM ring! WTF ever happened to QUALITY from small, privately owned jewelery shops?! And before anyone asks, no, the jeweler is not foreign he was born here in Missouri 50+ years ago. Oh, & now we're also going to get the blue diamond earrings & ruby pendant Cliff got me appraised... after all this BS I can't help but start wondering if they're really what the guy told Cliff they even are! ><
I was home for almost 45 minutes when I realized it was missing. We've searched everywhere. It's gone. The setting with the diamond still in it. FML!
Gave the band to Cliff to put somewhere safe... so damn disgusted about the whole thing I can't even wear it without getting more pissed.

If anyone offers to pay my way, thanks but no thanks. My room and pass was going to be paid for at one point, but my friends who were doing it ran into hard times. No biggie, I understand. Shit happens. Start saving the money myself. Then... my loan agent gets stupid, one thing lead to another and even if EVERYTHING was paid for now, gas to get there, food, room, etc. ... yeah... I'll be busy trying to finish packing, moving, and unpacking the weekend of MFF.
So there's no way whatsoever that I'll be attending this year. ;_; Dammit. ><;
October 1... my birthday! YAY! ... -_-; Day starts off good, then loan agent calls... day ends up utterly SHITTY because she can't take the time to clarify things. Ended up bawling my eyes out because I was so pissed I just wanted to kill someone or utterly destroy something... the other agent I'm working with calls me back two hours after that and does what the first agent should've fucking done... he clarifies EVERYTHING for me. My temper was at a -9 after I got off the phone with the chick... it was maybe down to a -7 or -6 when he called and in 10 minutes of him explaining things... it went to a -3 or -2 with 0 being completely calm.
So heading to bed now since I work tomorrow and instead of ending my day on a +10 I'm at a -2... at least last year I was at Archon in Collinsville, IL for my bday. -_-; FML... shit. Will be so glad when I don't have to deal with this chick anymore. ><; GAWD!

I asked my co-workers one time what kind of animal they saw me as, one said a bear, another said a cat and another said a squirrel. I've also been told I've reminded people of a wolf, a fox, and more recently, a horse because of my long legs.
As it is currently, my main "fursona" is Servane Sabertooth, who's actually a shapeshifter. Currently she's a Sabertooth kitten and a white with purple markings Husky. She'll eventually also be a Gryphon, a Hippogryph, and a Reindeer. It's just getting the money to commission people or sitting my butt down and making them myself. *facepaw*
I've been cosplaying for 10+ years and always made my own costumes. I eventually did commissions for a while but it got too much like work so I no longer do it unless there are special circumstances involved.

Still trying to find the other hand paw for the fullsuit before I take pics of it. It needs some TLC and the head needs to be redone. I'm the second owner and bought it knowing all this and just haven't had time to do anything with the head. I'm willing to make feet for it for an additional $50.
I also have various Pokemon stuff that I'd be willing to part with. None of it is the newer stuff. I'm still packing and moving things to the new house from my parents place, so I'm still finding things as I go so I can't currently even begin to list what I have.

The features do not have to be completely realistic, but I don't want them to be toony either. ie: I don't want the nose to be made of fleece, rubber, resin, or what have you is preferred for a more realistic look but does not need to be exact.
The eyes I really want/would like to be resin/taxidermy. Follow-me eyes would be best and are highly preferred.
I do not want a static jaw for this particular character. Even though she doesn't talk often, she still does talk and moving jaws just seem to better convey that aspect of the character to me. Yes, I know there are people who have moving jaws on their suits but their character never speaks. This is just my personal preference.
Also, while I have your attention... I'm debating getting Servane 2.0 refurbished or just getting a Servane 3.0. I came across some serious wear and tear on her, well, serious enough that it bugs me even if it's not enough to bug anyone else... Any opinions? And if I get a 3.0... who should I see about getting her done by? She will talk your ear off if you let her, she's very hyper and bubbly, so again I would highly prefer a moving jaw on her. And even though I've been suiting her for four years now, I'm debating just retiring the character and moving on to other characters of mine.
One last thing because I'm a 'tard... planning on making a Keeton quadsuit within the next few months-ish. Anyone know of any tutorials out there? And yes, Keeton from "Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask". >.>

As time goes on up until the finalization of my move, at which point I don't think I'll have internet for a while, only on my phone, which refuses to post photos to FA for some screwy reason, I will be finding anything/everything I can that needs to go and putting it up. Keep an eye out because I'll have anything from artwork to furry costume pieces to cosplay pieces and more I'm sure.
