Who All is Going to the Orlando Furry Megaplex 2022?
General | Posted 3 years agoI found out that Orlando Furry Megaplex 2022 will run from August 5th through August 7th.
Unfortunately, I'll still be busy helping my niece get a privacy fence completed before the building permit extension runs out.
However, if things are a little slower next year I'll most likely be attending the Furry Megaplex for 2023.
Where they have the dancing, I do not know if they play song requests.
If I was attending this year, I would inquire about that.
If they do take song requests at the dance, how about some of you grey muzzle furs who are attending put in requests for these following old and beautiful songs.
I've been adding to the list, so I'll stop at 15 listed here. Perhaps some of you fellow grey muzzles know of other songs just as great.
Even though the younger millennial furs most likely have never known these songs existed, I'm thinking many of them would enjoy these songs they've never heard before.

Found a Really Awesome Doo-Wop Song
General | Posted 6 years agoThe song is titled, If You've Got a Girl, by the Roomates (the group's name is spelled with only one M).
I can't find what year this song was released, or if it among 'unrelease' songs.
In fact, I don't know if it is or is not a doo-wop revival song from the past 30 years.
However, it is an awesome song with a smooth deep rhythm to it..

Playlist of Old Songs From the Early 1950s to the 1960s
General | Posted 8 years agoNot all of these songs are rock-n-roll songs of the day and time. However these are all really great classics.
I remember hearing most of these as a kid, as a teenager and as a young adult.
I am willing to bet most of y'all who are not grey mussels (especially y'all who were born during the late 1990s and later) have no idea that most of these songs ever existed.
Even though there were no cell phones, internet and video games back then, it was a different world back in those days of the 1950s and 1960s from what it is today.
April in Paris by Count Basie (the "One more once" song). It has been a longtime favorite of mine;

Replacing a Starter
General | Posted 8 years agoI am in the process of replacing a bad starter on my 2000 Chevy Prism. Everything is so crammed under the hood I had to pull the radiator out to get to the starter.
I've tested the starter, and also had O'Reilly's Auto Parts test it, and it tested as bad...The gear would pop out, but the starter armature would not spin...it would only make a humming noise. My old started was so bad, it caused the test machine at O'Reilly's to kick a circuit breaker. The parts man said a starter that bad could also cause a battery to explode (which fortunately did not happen). That happened to a van my mom had. A car battery sounds off like a 12 gauge shotgun when they blow.
I'll be finished getting the car back together tomorrow.
I caught a bus out here to Denny's Restaurant tonight (presently in Florida). I almost had to walk. It was the last bus for the night and the bus zoomed past the bus stop, but stopped a couple of hundred feet past the stop. The driver said he did not see me at first because of it being dark.
Everything tonight is good as so far (I'll be walking home tonight - 4 and a half kilometers {3 miles}).
I'll be grateful about getting my car going again.

Anyone Know what Happened at IB
General | Posted 9 years agoI have recently been unable to pull up the Inkbunny website.
Does anyone know if something has happened? Such as technical problem or an attack like FA had?
I've just now found out what it was. I was able to pull up a page that said they are in maintenance mode.

A Sad Animal Story
General | Posted 11 years agoA Sad Animal Story
I came across a sad story yesterday of the fate of a young dog. http://youtube.com/watch?v=ocWSY8ac6qE
Another video of the same story http://youtube.com/watch?v=M2FDXQwb8X0 . At 2:33 on the 2nd video, the information about systems failure on Day 6 into orbit was originally misrepresented for years.
The first video, thermal control system failure within 5 hours, is correct.
There's more information on http://youtube.com/watch?v=rM46Xzf5uts .
Nico and Pancho meet a friend from far away.
General | Posted 13 years agoSome of you may have remembered the Nico and Pancho story I posted here a while back. I've got two postings of it on Youtube. One with annotations (speech bubbles like in the comics), and a shorter version without annotation. If you search "sci-fi furry" both versions will be on the first page. I've put some really cool music on the annotated version. Both the video and song are 11minutes 26 seconds. They both start and end together.

A Tribute to the Wild Animals I've Had Since 1995.
General | Posted 13 years agoI've made a Youtube video in memory of my wild animal friends I've had during the 1980s and 1990s. It's the best of my old photos of them, copied onto digital camera, with audio music "Temple Journey" by Madwyn Goodall. It is titled "My Animal Friends Over the Years". The author name is Moyo Mongoose. like on my account here, If you have difficulty finding it, my channel is "welovemongooses". I was very pleased with the way it turned out. I'm going to go as far as calling it a must see, and it's as furry as it gets.
The only animals in the video that were not mine were the binturongs I've been with from 1986 to 1987, I'm pictured with.

Nico and Pancho Story / posted 2/26 and 2/27, 2013
General | Posted 13 years ago This story was one I created during the spring of 1995. Watching the movie, "Lion King", the year before, gave me some creative inspiration to putting something like this together. The sketches were started September of 1994, and was completed as a book manuscript in March of 1995, including typewriter text (can be seen on #42, and in a July 2012 posting on Yiffy). Typewriter was the present technology in those days.
During that time, I could never get a book publisher interested in it. And art work web sites didn't exist at that time, nor did the internet. And there were no other copies, as home digital formats were also nonexistent. You could imagine how art looks photographed with Polaroid, 35mm and 110. And 8.5 x 11, color copies were well over $2 each in 1995, with colors often being poor, compared to 50 cents today. Color copying the manuscript would have been over $100 in 1995.
The story got it's first public appearance in a July 2012 posting on Yiffy, when I came across it, after years of not knowing where it was. Having had no copies of it, I can only thank God that the silverfish, mice, squirrels and mold didn't get to it during those years before it was found, going through some junk, in a leaky utility barn. Had that happened, it would have never been seen by the public, unknown, lost and secret forever.
As it was, it was found in pristine condition. I am now making digital format copies of it, now that the technology exists, and posting it on other art sites. Eventually, the paper the originals are on will age.
