It's been long enough, hasn't it? But we've still been around, all right.
Speaking of content,
twintales has put up a couple more comics since the last news blurb, and there's never a better time to go check it out than right now ^_^

Posted 13 years agoHey everyone, it's been a while, hasn't it? Well, today, we have TWO points of interest to share, and (like male pregnancy itself in a way), they keep on giving.
First of all, a comic centered around a maleherm's pregnancy has been started! There are only five pages and some extra art so far, but from what we've seen, it looks like it has a LOT of promise. You can view it here:
twintales. Unfortunately, as noted in this journal, the comic has hit an early roadblock, so please help if you can! Your donation will not go unrewarded!
Secondly, while we're glad to have so many fans even though we have little to give in return (as we used to, anyway), one of us has uploaded some of the mpreg art he's had made for him over the years as sort of an archive of mpreg art:
male_pregnancy_portfolio. Most if not all of this is available on the site from its respective artists, so if you find something you like there, please let the artist know, too.

Posted 14 years agoWith it having been...almost nine months (how appropriate) since our last update, it's time to go ahead and say what most of you probably suspect by now: there is no forthcoming site. Maybe in the future there will be, but not from us, or at least not soon. Sorry to those of you who have been waiting, but the minds behind this account do not have the time, energy, or creativity to make a new and better site, not now. We fully support anyone else doing so, and we're glad to have experimented with starting a website ourselves. We would have liked to have kept it going longer and to have attracted more users, but as one of us once read on a sign in a Jimmy John's sub shop, "Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want." Good advice.
This account may not see much activity, but it will not be abandoned: it will still be used to favorite furry male pregnancy submissions as we find them, and anyone who wants to submit anything to this gallery, please note us and we will get back to you when we see your note.
Until later...thanks for the fun, and keep loving on the preggy guys. They'll love you back.

Posted 15 years agoOkay. I'll not get into too much detail just yet, but I'm sorry to say that Mpregfur.net as we know it is gone. However, we are making steps at reviving the site on a new server and under a new name and design! Until then, I'm afraid we're going to be limited to the FA account here, and our Furnet IRC channel #Mpregfur.
We'll try and keep things alive here as best we can, and I hope we'll have many of you staying with us here on FA until the new site is up!

Posted 15 years agoAch, and I'd gotten the last two months' updates on time, too.
Welp! Once again, no submissions towards our monthly theme, and alas no side submissions worth noting. So, we'll simply announce June's theme - "Species You Want To See"; http://www.mpregfur.net/forum/showt.....ad.php?tid=237 - and wish everyone a very good Summer! Seriously, this heat is killing me.

Posted 15 years agoWell, April seemed to go without theme-related submissions once again. However, we did get a few nice submissions in general, including a few I'd like to share:

As suggested by our administrator Evertide, we have also decided on May's theme. Given that Spring has sprung, May is going to be... "The Outdoors"!

Posted 15 years agoLast month's theme of "Story Time" went reasonably well. We got two story submissions to the forum, which will be put into the site's Library as soon as is possible. The first is a continuation of Brooke and Tide's story by Evertide, which can be found here - http://www.mpregfur.net/forum/showt.....ad.php?tid=383 - and a short by myself for our third administrator, Mateo, found here - http://www.mpregfur.net/forum/showt.....ad.php?tid=384 .
The new theme for March, as you'll likely have read already, is "Cold". Mostly because that's how we've all been feeling lately, and I think it's about time we vented a little about it or helped turn a huge negative into a positive. As always, have fun with it!

Posted 16 years agoWell, with a new decade underway, we'd just like to wish our users and watchers a happy new year (albeit one day late), and wishes for a good few more happy years to come! It's been an eventful year, some good (and an unfortunate about of bad), but with each year comes a new fresh start.
First up, the December theme of "Feathers" got two entries! The first is one by our very own moderator, Dash, who gave us this cute little image: http://www.mpregfur.net/forum/attac.....ent.php?aid=60 The second image is by one of our more active FA fans, Split-Persona, who drew up a very happy-looking crow boy: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3215474
Well, it looks like themes are back on track! So without further adeuax, I'd like to present January's theme, as suggested by the admin Evertide: Scales! A lovely little transition, is it not?

Posted 16 years agoAnd with FurAffinity's return, we can now belatedly announce December's theme! I spoke with a few folks about what they'd like to see, and it was decided that we would forgo the usual Christmas-season clichés, as people are going to be drawing and writing things to that effect anyway. So, by popular consensus, the new theme is... Feathers!
In other news, it has come to our attention that there have been some rumours going about regarding the site and/or administration. While we are not fully sure of what's being said, if you yourself are curious about the validity of these rumours, feel free to e-mail me (address can be found on the website's front page), and I will try to answer as fully as I can.
Lastly, we at Mpregfur would like to wish all our friends and members a very merry Christmas and happy holidays! Have a good Winter season!

Posted 16 years agoFor the third month in a row, there have been no submissions related to the site's monthly theme. Even so, we're going to keep putting them up. And so, this November shall have the theme of... "Taurs".
In other news, our on-site users may have noticed that the forums have been going through some updates this past month, adding a lot of nice new features, including a marque and the "MyMood" markers. We're sorry there's not been too many updates in other areas, but we are taking steps to improve the site where possible.
Other than that, here's a belated Happy Hallowe'en and to another happy month of Mpregfur.

Posted 16 years agoWell, it appears as though the "water" theme was a flop; apologies for my poor choice and extending it for a month. Instead, let's try and enjoy October with something new, fresh, and interesting. As was discussed with and suggested by our own Taben, the October month shall be governed by the theme of...
"Costumes".
"Costumes".
Mpregfur News - 1/9/09
Posted 16 years agoWell, September has hit us like a brick wall, and a good few of us have returned to school or college, or are going to return soon enough. But, to start of the month on a brighter note, our August raffle has been won by the very lucky
DekoPuma, who is getting a total of three commissions from the artists
DashRaptor,
Taben and
Luprand, the latter of which has already completed his, which can be found here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2729170
On another note, August's theme of "Water" got no submissions, so we're extending it into September to see if it was the theme or the month that failed us. We'd also like to ask our watchers and members to suggest a new theme for when October rolls in!
There's no other news of note, sans a warning. We had a little bit of a troll scare a few days ago, and we'd like to ask folks to keep on watch to make sure it was just an isolated incident. But beyond that, just have fun like usual!

Posted 16 years agoJuly went down a treat, it seems! We got three responses to "Class", all images that I found extremely amusing.
Two are by Luprand, featuring two definitions of "class". Uno: http://www.mpregfur.net/gallery/mai.....geViewsIndex=1 And dos: http://www.mpregfur.net/gallery/mai.....g2_itemId=1776
Plus our FA watcher, Split-Persona, strikes again wiiith... http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2537296
Again, thank you to the both of you for these lovely contributions towards the genre, and join me in welcoming in August's belated theme... it is... "Water"! The sea, rivers, drinks, the element, the type, the magic, the... everything you can think of! Just roll with it, and let's have fun!

Posted 16 years agoThe raffle is officially open. We have the minimum number of entries required, so you may now begin to pay for the tickets as mentioned in the previous journal: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/848005/
Mpregfur News - 23/7/09
Posted 16 years agoThis is your chance to win up to three pictures of your design! To celebrate our server’s one year anniversary, we shall be holding a raffle for all to enter, the gains of which will go straight to the prize-givers as payment; we at Mpregfur.net serve only as the middlemen.
Entry is simply $1 a ticket - there’s no limit to how many you can buy, but we do ask that you give the other members a chance. On August 27th, the anniversary of the creation of the site’s server, a winner shall be selected at random, and shall be given a prize depending on how many entrants we had.
So long as we get $10 worth of entries, the winner shall receive a commission from Dash, as well as a commission from either Luprand or Taben (their choice which artist). However, if we make over $25, this will be enough to pay for the winner to get a commission from Dash, Taben AND Luprand! All pictures given are subject to the artist’s usual conditions, and other details are as follows:
Dash: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/DashRaptor/
A single fully-coloured (cell shaded) picture, featuring one or two characters, with a simple (white, gradient, or a patterned) background.
Taben: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/taben/
One water-coloured 8 x 10 piece, featuring a single character and a fairly simple background. Tasteful nudity permitted, but no sexual situations.
Luprand: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/Luprand/
One 8.5 x 11 image, 150-dpi resolution, flat-coloured with a simple background, featuring one figure. The only condition is that this one must be clean.
Entry is simple. Post here on this thread - http://www.mpregfur.net/forum/showt.....ad.php?tid=293 - exactly how many tickets you want. Then, when we have a confirmed $10 worth of entries, you may proceed to send the payment ($1 per ticket) to Donations.Mpregfur@gmail.com, with your forum username in the comment box. Please note, and we really must stress this point, that you must NOT mention any form of contest or raffle in the Paypal message! Paypal hates raffles and may shut down the account. I’ll post an update to this thread when we’ll be accepting the pay for the entries.
Beyond that, though… let’s try and remember what this little raffle is for; we’re celebrating the birthday of our community! So let’s have fun with it!
Edit: This is VERY important. If you send us payment and give us no note on FA or the site that it's for raffle tickets, it will be considered a donation towards the site and you will not be entered into the raffle.

Posted 16 years agoWell, two little things to announce today, both of a rather sizable significance. First things first, some of you may have noticed that there is now a "Donate" button just below the links on the main, library and rules pages of the site (if you can't see one, try refreshing). We're not going to beg for anything, but we do ask our members and browsers to keep in mind that running a website is not free, due to server costs and the like, so to anybody who'd like to put just a dollar or two towards keeping the site running, it would be greatly appreciated. Remember, every little helps (to quote a company I shall not name lest I be sued)! You can also skip the button by simply making a donation to "Donations.Mpregfur@gmail.com".
Second, the site's official anniversary is coming up! On August 27th, it will be exactly one year since the Mpregfur server first went online. We're as of yet unsure if we're going to be doing anything special to celebrate this fact, but this is still a milestone worthy of note.
Well, that seems like everything worth mentioning. So, beyond that, have fun around the site as usual!

Posted 16 years agoAnd we're into July! Last month's theme was "icecream", and we got two images in response.
The first is by our own very talented Luprand; http://www.mpregfur.net/gallery/mai.....geViewsIndex=1
And the second is by an FA watcher, Split-Persona; http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2445908/
We'd like to give a big thanks to the two of you, and would also like to announce this month's theme... "Class"! As in maybe a class at school, a classy gentlemen, the character classes in a video game, or anything else you can think of that relates to the theme! Let your imagination run riot with this one, folks!
In unrelated news, I'd like to wish everyone who's attending AnthroCon this year a very happy time! Have fun!

Posted 16 years agoWe, your merciful dictators, have decided to add a new and yet non-intrusive element into the workings of the site, that we believe will help spice things up and keep everything... well, interesting!
The idea is, simply, "themes". At the start of every month, we shall suggest a random or relevant-to-the-time theme (usually just a word, genre, place, movie/book/game or something else vague) as a suggestion for something to gear art and stories towards for that month. As it's merely a suggestion, nobody has to act on it in any way unless they have to, but it would still be nice to see something new and interesting pop up now and then as a result. Who knows, we may end up suggesting something that gets those mental gears turning (that's even our general intention, actually). Feel free to discuss this and ask questions about it, or even suggest a theme to come up in future.
So! We'll implement the new feature at the start of July. But, for now, as a "test run", I'll just toss out a random theme for this month to catch you all off-guard...
...ice cream!

Posted 16 years agoIt has come to my attention that the Mpregfur FA account has no avatar or icon, and this, sirs, will never do. I'm not sure what to put up there- my own artistic talents are moderate at best, and I just don't feel right cropping a section from the works of someone else without asking first. So, I'm opening up the floor to suggestions. Tell me what you might like to see in our FA avatar, or offer up an image you made for cropping, or even make an icon yourself!
Other than that we don't have much news to share. Things are quiet on the site, and going well. New artwork is coming in, we're getting stories from members to be put in the library (several were added a short while ago, for anyone who doesn't know already), and things are going... well, fine. So here's to many more days of good sailing ahead!
-Kai
PS: Shameless plug for anyone who's interested. The #Mpreg room at FurNet is located here - http://irc.netsplit.de/channels/det.....amp;net=FurNet - so be sure to pop in for a chat!

Posted 16 years agoWell, the contest to decide the new cover work for the site's main page ended yesterday, with the very talented
Ta-ek coming out as the first place winner with two fifths of the total votes. Her image, featured on both her gallery, this account and the site, will be placed on the main page by one of our programmers as soon as possible. Congratulations to all who entered, though, regardless of how you did, and many thanks for participating.
On another note, we know Valentine's Day is coming up, and will hopefully be able to look forward to a few choice images regarding our shared favorite genre. But with or without, we at Mpregfur.net wish you all a happy Valentine's Day, and hope you can spend time with the one you love!
