I have decided that Kaje and Aylan need to be free! I keep hold of my chars and don't ever let them interact with others or even get much art in general of them anymore. So I yea, wanting to get more art of them.

Ok, so I am super busy and distracted a lot, so I miss getting the opportunity to commission many artists. Thing is, I could use some help finding artists who are open, usually I miss them.
So I am asking if you guys could help me find some good artists who aren't too expensive, that you think would do a wonderful Job on either one of the two of my characters. Perhaps even take part in some joint commissions.

Hell, if you wanted to pick an artist and then offer me a spot in with you, I would be down to pay half. If you have an idea in mind, totally run it by me. I am totally down for discussion.

This is again, just for Aylan and Kaje. Viritiana is more personal, and so I would prefer to leave art with her for closer friends. Elan is somewhat open, but I am very specific on his details.

I have 1400 watchers... So where are you all? It seems that despite those bummer, hardly a person engages in my comments or even tries to interact with me.

I thought it was just most of you wanted lewd pictures, but even then, maybe a few dozen favorites, maybe 100. Also it's rare that even one person comments on those as well. So I am curious.

Why is it that you watch me? Why is it you don't really comment. What can I do to better?

I mean, I've chalked it up that Kaje doesn't get much art anymore. Or that maybe I've been too blunt and out spoken that I've pissed everyone off. Well knows!

kinda true actually. I mentioned before I was quitting my job. Well, I was called in yesterday to be informed that they are accepting my terms and bumping me up in the company. I still have to do their stupid school program, but I can work on it on my own rate. So we will see how this all fairs out. Long story short, I am keeping my job.

It seems it takes telling them you are going to quit, to get them asking what they can do for me for once. Heh.

I finally pulled the trigger on turning in my two weeks because I have grown annoyed with work and how I pretty much feel stagnant after 5 months working out of town constantly. Weeeelll, Apparently I am more valuable than they make it seem because I got called into the office and sat down for 'negotiations." My demands? Better pay, an actual FUCKING TITLE and apprenticing with a framing foreman who will ACTUALLY TEACH me shit instead of treating me like crap and having co workers rely on teaching me things. Also, apparently I have really stepped up my game at work because my GM told me that in the last year, I have doubled my productivity. So yea, there's that. Still might leave though, but it is really scary to quit a job you have been so stable financially with. SO yea, threatening to quit results in results I guess? I always thought I would be the one they just said "K thanks bye" too, guess not!

So, I come home from work today, to find our trashcans are missing. OH GEEZ A TRASH THEATH! I thought, though I wouldn't really question why someone would take trashcans.... who knows! So I ask my roommate, turns out, he didn't even notice. (aint that a surprise.) After a bit of investigating, I found out my roommate, who is owner of the house we live in...The one I pay rent and bills too every month... DIDN'T PAY THE WASTE BILL! Come to find out even more, that he is a month behind on everything but his house payments.....

I have a very lazy roommate, I mean, it is amazing how he goes to an I.T job, sits all day, only to come home and lock himself into his room all night, and sits, hardly even coming out to go to the bathroom or for food. But to forget about your bills!?!? Whaat the fuck. So our water is about to be shut off, our trash cans have been taken because he didn't even pay attention to the warning letters we got for 2 weeks. (which I found on the kitchen counter) and our internet is about to be cut.... all because he was too lazy to ever set alarms... Did I mention his disgust for any sort of alarms, or calenders? Because he doesn't want to admit that his has the memory of a gold fish... hell, trying to get him to do chores proves that a gold fish probably has a longer memory. Quite literally out of sight, out of mind with him...

So yea, that was so fun to come home too. Luckily they didn't take the cans until today, after my mother came to visit and she and I cleaned the whole house together. X.X

This all being said, I really like my roommate, he is practically a brother. BUT FOR FUCKS SAKES! If I lose my internet, I'm kick in his door and yank his tower off his desk and dismantle it screw by screw so he has to put it together again, AFTER HE PAYS THE BILLS >->

But that being said, more art is coming, and I refrained from uploading a semi secret character! I am waiting until I get more art of them before I upload it all :3 STAY TUNED!

OK so I got a few more pictures, and some ref sheets on the way. I was persistent with one of the artists who owed me and they responded after some...persuasion. So I am grateful of that.

I am feeling a little more motivated and possibly tomorrow night I will have some of my art uploaded.. I keep saying I am gonna do it, but after driving an hour and a half home after a long day of either boring physical labor, or some hard skilled labor, I certainly don't have much interest in doing anything of effort when I get home. I keep psyching myself out on uploading. Should probably do some uploads to e621. Either way, the bigger the back log the bigger the release!

So I am not going to link my Discord or telegram, but I will give people my steam info and my PS4 username. I love to game, and a good way to get to know me is to game with me! I have a shit ton of em!

I'm speading the word about this idea. While my recent developments would not really be put up there, since it was more a troll and response. I think having a place where we as customers can actually go and review and learn about artists we want to commission.

One, this would really cut back on the scam artists. I'm sure we all know about some royal bison a while ago who took everyone's money over a year and ran.

Two, it's incentive for artists to strive, since those who do good work will get attention

Three, it can help get New artists out there, since they are not be fighting a flood of posts to get noticed.

And finally, it would cut back on artists half assing lesser commissioners and prioritizing popular people. Everyone deserves fair and even service.

Just a heads up. I got some drama started after a recent journal got spread, which I find funny cause no one but like 10 of you guys seems to read them. The drama ended up with call out's and white knights so if I am suddenly gone, I probably got banned by the hive mind. It disappoints me that FA is such an echo chamber that you can't discuss much pertaining to anyone in here. I am not going to risk losing my account over stupid crap. Though it probably would save me A SHIT TON of money if I couldn't come to FA anymore. Either way, IF I go, FIGHT FOR ME! Because I know how FA's echo chamber works, and the people who get scrutinized will be protected, even if, they are just as guilty, or are the guilty party as some small guy like me. Trick question, I know I am an asshole! But hell, I just pretty much like to call out bullshit, ignoring issues and being quiet about wrong doings, is how we get screwed over. SO I do hope at least some of you enjoy my rants, considering 3 years ago I used to rant about stupid shit without doing my research or having any knowledge. So as a bit of a follow up to my previous little journal. I wanted to bring to everyone's attention, who cares to read my journals, about a thing called padding your gallery. It is a marketing strategy used in almost everything being sold.

What is it? Well, it is when you take all your less desirable, eye sorish, unattractive, or unwanted images, results, products, and you remove them from view. This way, your front line and your gallery show only your best and brightest work. This is a good thing, since you want to attract your customers in to do business.

BUT! This isn't a good thing for us consumers at all. Because it hides where the artists have flaws here on FA. I have been burned by a few artists who half assed my picture and pretty much told me to deal with it. They never uploaded it to their gallery, despite doing so with nearly everything else. Now ask yourself this question. Have you ever looked at a gallery, were tempted to buy art from the person, only to have your picture turn out like, half the quality as the gallery? Welp, you just got ripped off. And that artist probably isn't going to even feature your art because it was crap, despite you paying the same price as everyone else.


SO BUYERS BEWARE! It is important to do your research on artists you want to do business with! Check E621, check E-hentai, find ALL THEIR ART not just what they feature. If an artist looks too good to be true, DON'T BUY FROM THEM. I don't give a fuck if their gallery looks spotless, that just means they could be hiding things. AND FOR GODS SAKES, DON'T BE COMPLACENT WHEN THEY RIP YOU OFF, SAY SOMETHING! Artists get away with scamming people because we stay quiet, don't. Just like a bad product you send back, you have a right to share your experience with everyone who might do business with that artist. You aren't a bad person for calling out bullshit.

Here is to another winter drawing to a close. We made it another year, hopefully with all our digits intact!

Look, I am the last one to tell someone not to do what makes them happy. But I am going to be the one to say that I think a lot of people in the fandom have a major spending issue. I have no blame for artists because they are just going to take advantage of those who throw money out like its burning their pants. They are just doing business. No all my blame falls on us, the commissioners, and myself somewhat included.

When you buy art, do you consider what that money could be going too? How much you are actually spending on something that besides some visual pleasure for a while, offers you nothing, and I mean NOTHING! Art has no resale value, serves no long term purpose, and is expensive. Yet a lot of furries throw hundreds at a single picture!

Let me break it down, because I noticed this most when I had to buy some new tires for my work truck. 500$ for those new tires..... So Earlier this month, I had splurged on art, turns out, in 2 months I spent close to 300$ on art! Even worse, it was only like 3 pictures. So that being said, I look back and realize, that I could have got a lot more out of my money, then these 3 pictures which have served one purpose, to give me some stimulation. Where those tires, are going to last me years.

Now, that is just my little bit, I am watching a lot of people throwing 300$ at a single picture. Why? That is the question needing to be asked. Why are we spending 300$ on a picture? Because the artist did a good job? Well, there are other artists who could do the same quality for less... Is it because of the name of the artist? Well, do you go to the grocery store and buy name brand, or do you get the off brand products to save money?

Rent for a lot of people is about 500-800$ a month. And I see lots of furries throwing out "help, need money!" because they don't have any money, but yet, I could go back through their gallery and find out they spent 400$ on art. Why do they not have a savings account? Why isn't money getting held back for emergencies?

Once again, this is all so preventable. Art is nice yes, but I am seeing a big inflation in the costs of art in the last 5-6 years. Artists who have mediocre art skills charging just as much as the artist who draws some really good stuff. AND PEOPLE ARE PAYING IT!

And don't give me the 'artists need to live part' because I am going to say this again. You aren't going to make a living off of your art! Insurance is needed, 401k is important, even if it isn't very good, social security needs paid into. And being an independant artist isn't going to make you enough money! Get a part time job and do art as a second. And this goes for those in 3rd world countries, because I know some of these artists are practically rich in their countries because the U.S dollar, pound, and euro, all are worth an incredible amount.

But like I said, this isn't about the artists, because they are just throwing out pricings on their art. It all lies with us, and our horrible spending habits.

With the amount of money I spent in art over the last 6 years. I know that some of that money could have been better budgetted and conserved for more worth while artists who weren't over charging me. But like everyone else has done, I bought into it anyway.


SO in conclusion, Just before you buy your next picture, ask yourself. "Am I spending too much for this?" "Why am I getting this picture?" "DId I look around to find maybe a more affordable artist at similar quality?

BE A SMART SHOPPER!

Dude, I thought I was over this, but I am seeing newer artists who don't have that great of art, pushing YCHs that nearly AB at 5x their normal prices! This is not ok! This is not a good business model. YCHs are what pay to win is in video games. Yea I am comparing The YCH format to EA style scammery. I can respect when a YCH is used once and a while, and the pricings on everything are within reason, but to notch up an AB that far? I would have more respect for the artist if they just left out an AB system and just let too morons get into a bidding battle. Even more annoying is more artists I (used too) watch are moving over to Patreon only and YCHs only. This cash grabbing scam is just out of control!

Duuuude something that makes me chuckle about the furry fandom is how 80% of bovine characters, or hybrid bovines, always have Equine cocks. Is it that unappealing of a cock? I mean, yea it tapers off to a point, but those guys have some big ol nuts, way more cum output than equines, and way more virile. But yet, no one wants them!

It is just silly, but I can respect people not wanting to do it, Just don't see why the automatic alternative is equine, hardly ever human or anything o3o.

So this year I plan on getting loads more art. Mostly with my friend  Kiano but in general with other friends and solo too.

This year, I have decided to bring Kaje into the light again, but not as a smutty character. No I want to go back to that sexy warrior she started out as! So keep your eyes peeled!
