I've actually had one of these pages for aaaaaaaaages but that was on Retrospring which is shutting down in March so I've moved over to NeoSpring which I have no idea if it's a fork of Restrospring but it sure sounds like one.

I will say the site has unrestricted access to the CSS so I have fucked with it quite a bit and bent it to my will as much as I can. And whilst I would love to have a waterfall of dancing Cailey's running across the background I've been unable to layer her behind the UI but in front of the background. also "Position: relative" won't work without making a giant gap at the top or bottom of the screen since it takes up a new line.

I've open to any suggestions on how to make it cursed.. within reason, we're not going for the E621 hotdog theme here.

As per my last art post you might have read that I have been given too many ideas in fact, and if you want to steer the ship to who gets what stuffed where then you can answer the polls here, you're welcome to suggest your own ideas and I'll likely keep them for the next run if I'm dry on ideas again.

Before you read I am not a lawyer this is not legal advise this is what happens when you think it's funny to read random bits of legal shit without understanding it

Ok so you ever have a fucken meme conversation with friends then it suddenly devolves into copyright... well turns out that under UK law as there was no contract between me and the original artist who designed Cailey, I would have limited rights to display and of course use her design, but under US laws regarding commissions I would have no rights at all, I would simply be the owner and unable to display or make derivatives, so yes that does mean technically all my comissions up until this point were a violation of copyright law... and no work-for-hire doesn't apply that is a seperate law, there is literally a specific law for commissioned works...

Now of course this isn't a problem, because no artist would ever enforce that, except maybe with closed species, which for the record do have legal protections as far as I understand. However I thought it would be funny to buy it anyway, and thus, for the price of $50, which I offered, and a very helpful signature from  spunkubus I now own the rights to Copy, make derivatives of and publically display Cailey's design. Now this does mean Spunkubus can still make art books or sell merch of her as they have the rights to distribute, but I can now officially comission art lmao... it also means I get to fucken slap © on everything as a rights holder.

Does this mean you should do it with the people who designed your OCs? I mean it's more money for them and it's funny, but yeah it's not needed, I just really found the idea of slapping © on everything to be funny.

If someone actually knows how the law works I mean feel free to chime in and correct me, I still don't mind giving a talented artist a big tip for a funny meme. I also hope I don't cause panic as I do stress that no-one would ever enforce copyright regarding my ocs or your own designs, hell most artist specify in their TOS which is a contract. I just through it was a funny thing to do for just Cailey.
