Abbed Anthros Discord Group
Posted 3 years agohttps://discord.gg/YB7QHPxXJA
For nearly a decade I have run the Abbed-Anthro group (https://www.deviantart.com/abbed-anthro) on DeviantArt curating a gallery of the best muscled anthro's I could find. In recent years I have found it extremely difficult to remain active on DeviantArt as well as the numerous other social media platforms that I use. I have no intention of closing the group at this time, and will try to remain more active, but I also want to have a discord channel for members of this group that is more involved and allows for better communication between everyone who shares an interest in abbed anthros. Feel free to join the server using the URL address given. Hope to see you all there.

A Complete Deep Dive Into NFTs
Posted 3 years agoThis past week I have done a complete headfirst deep dive into the world of NFTs. Full disclosure: I am not a financial advisor; this is for information purposes only. Always do your own research and only invest what you are willing to lose. I am not new to investing I have several stocks. I bought Twitter at $45 and am going to be cashing out $54.20. I was early on the GME (GameStop) revolution and bought in at $50 after watching a video by Louis Rossman 3 days before it ballooned to over $500. I have bought cryptocurrency and shit coins as well. My level of risk investment is very high and am willing to go 100% in on something and lose it all if I do. Regarding NFTs, I am not here to shill for them or to tell you that you must buy, buy, buy. My first week I lost over $400 after $200 of which was stolen, and the other was made on a shitty investment. Throughout this deep dive, I want to help you understand why a person would be willing to risk anything let alone several hundred dollars on JPEG images. I want to address the criticism that NFTs often receive including the claims that they are a scam. I am also a software programmer, so I hope to explain how some of the brilliant technology behind NFTs work. I have no experience directly writing code for NFTs (I mostly develop games) and have no idea personally how to make one from scratch but the process for the creation of the NFT is easily outlined, can be understood, and instantly replicated. So, without further adue lets begin.
For anyone who doesnât know what an NFT is (I assume most people have) it stands for Non-Fungible Token. Meaning it is a unique singular chunk of code living on the blockchain of a particular cryptocurrency that can not be replicated or owned by multiple wallets at the same time. A crypto wallet is like a bank account but not really. Similar to how some banks will let you hold multiple currencies both CAD (Canadian) and USD (American) dollars in different accounts the crypto wallet can do just the same allowing you to hold Bitcoin, Etherum, Binance, and about ten thousand or so other coins if you so desire. Unlike a bank account however you can get a wallet today for free, zero fees in less than 5 minutes and it doesnât even require showing an ID to do so. How is this possible you might ask? If you open Google and type âmetamaskâ and then proceed to install the free chrome extension in less than 2 minutes you will hold a cryptocurrency wallet that anyone in the world can send to you ETH (Ethereum), Bitcoin, and other crypto currencies. Gone are the days of bank transfers and waiting for your âfunds to clearâ which take days in some cases weeks. Depending on the coin transferred it can even be faster to receive funds then through Interact E-Transfer which usually take 5 to 30 minutes to make a transaction. The downside to keeping money in a crypto wallet is that the risk of losing that money is 100% on you and there is no institution that can help you retrieve lost funds. As I learned the hard way this week so much as clicking on a malicious link is all it takes to have your entire wallet drained as soon as the chrome extension connects. Boom $200 gone like that, and it is entirely unrecoverable as the receiving wallet has zero information attached regarding the owner. Names, IDs, Country of origin is entirely anonymous and decentralized.
Metamask is not the only cryptocurrency wallet you can own its one of many. The specific wallet that I will be discussing for the duration of this journal is called Phantom. And Phantom wallet is used to hold a crypto coin by the name of Solana. Or SOL. Just like Metamask you can install the Phantom plugin on Chrome and get the app on your phone and in less than 5 minutes you can send and receive SOL. Most crypto wallets have a security backed feature thatâs encrypts access to the wallet in the form of a random string of 12 words. In some cases, it is 24, but mostly 12 random words picked from the English dictionary that acts as your âpasswordâ into the account. Anyone can access that account and all the attached wallets from anywhere in the world if they had these 12 random words. Be extra cautious of screen grabbers that take snapshots of your PC screen every 5 minutes. The safest way to store this password string is on a piece of paper in a safe. Not as a JPEG screenshot of your phone. Although that can be risky in itself if your house burns down, and you can no longer access your wallet because the paper is gone. IMO its always best practice to have many different wallets for many different currencies on many different apps. Using the 12-word password you can connect the app on your phone and see the money in the account. Considering the ease at which money can be 100% drained from any given wallet address I would advise never keeping substantial amounts of it in any one wallet at any one time. This is not meant to replace the banks which are still the safest place to store cashed out earnings from NFT trading.
As for transferring money between a bank account and a crypto wallet such as Metamask or Phantom, you need to first purchase it using a market trading app. In Canada the best options for this are Wealth Simpleâs Crypto account or NDAX. Regarding Solana and Phantom specifically you can not buy or sell it on Wealth Simple, you must use NDAX instead. After registering for an account on NDAX, you can transfer money directly to the app using e-transfer or by depositing some other currency (BTC, ETH, LTC, ect) that was first purchased on Wealth Simple. You can buy SOL coin directly on NDAX and then transfer it out to your Phantom wallet given itâs address. I use a process and series of rules to ensure that something like my wallet getting drained in the future never happens again.
#1 - Never use the same wallet you transfer money between NDAX and Phantom for anything else. Never give away the wallet address and use that wallet only for transfer of funds between fiat and cryptocurrency.
#2 - Never hold more than $1000 in any one wallet at any one time (unless you are planning on buying an NFT valued over $1000). There is no penalty for having multiple wallets other than having to keep track of where all your money is dispersed.
#3 - Never use a wallet that has money in it for Whitelist giveaways (I will explain later what that means). Until the moment you wish to mint the NFT (I will also explain what minting is). And only transfer as much money to the minting wallet as you indent to spend on that specific NFT. Once the NFT is purchased transfer it to a sperate wallet specifically for holding your bought items. Think of the storage chests in Witcher 3 for holding your loot after youâve gotten it.
Now: ---- REGARDING NFTs THEMSELVES ----
First and foremost, when you purchase an NFT you must understand exactly what it is that you are buying. Most people think itâs a scam because you can right click save on any image and now you âown the artâ. Sort of, but not really. I mentioned before that crypto-wallets are like a bank account but not really. The ânot reallyâ part of that comes in the form of a âsmart contractâ. Each crypto wallet acts as a digital form of identity. Websites, and apps can access that wallet to âverifyâ that you own a particular NFT as only you can own that NFT and it can never be forged or duplicated. Gone are the day of email usernames and passwords, NFTs are how we will access EVERYTHING in the future. You will own NFTs whether you think so now or not. Right now, they are a new technology fraught with scams and a horrible public reputation but the utility behind them is unquestionable I very likely see: concert tickets, movie passes, lottery tickets, property deeds, insurance papers, and employment contracts as things that will be bought, sold, traded, given away, or signed to your wallet in the future. If you buy a ticket to your favorite sports team, or season passes to the zoo it can be saved into your wallet in the form of an NFT. THAT is what is really being purchased.
You must understand that when you buy an NFT it is not the art per say you are purchasing, but access to something. Whether itâs the deed to a home, or season tickets to the baseball game NFTs grant you access to events and exclusive clubs. You might be wondering why someone would drop over a million dollars on an ugly picture of a monkey (Iâm referring to the Bored Apes Yacht Club that make international news within the last year or so), but then you might also wonder why someone would drop $3000 on a handbag because its from Gucci. Why would someone buy a $50,000 Rolex watch when I can get one for $2 at the dollar store that is just as capable of telling me the time? Why do people spend twice as much for a phone or a computer because its an Apple product when Android/Google phones are just as capable of giving you access to everything an iPhone can do? Itâs a status symbol, itâs a tribe hey look at me Iâm a part of your club! NFTs buy you access in a never before seen way that other status symbol products like Supreme havenât as NFTs not only grant you potential access to real worth shit, but exclusive clubs in the metaverse too. Bridging the gap between the physical and the virtual. Its worth noting that the âmetaverseâ is a fancy buzz word for new technology that no one can really explain. And it likely wonât be called that in 20 years time anyways. Go watch videos from 25 years ago about people trying to explain what the internet was. It was considered a fad that would die out in a couple years just as many people now view NFTs. And no one calls the internet the âinformation superhighwayâ anymore. People thought that no one would bank online, buy shit online, use their credit card online because no one (very few people) understood it. Much like people now say that they will never buy or own an NFT because they donât understand the gap it bridges between the real world and metaverse space.
For example, the most expensive NFT on the Solana blockchain right now is called DeGods and is valued at roughly $35,000 CAD per token. Insane right? And this week the management/developers of this NFT just bought a fucking basketball team!! Now everything starts to make more sense when put into perspective. Whereas before you literally had to be a millionaire to even think about owning a basketball team, now the buy in price is as low as $35,000 to be a partial owner of Ice Cubeâs BIG3 Basketball League. Or a few hundred bucks if youâre one of the lucky son-of-a-bitch that bought in early and never sold. And with ownership of a basketball team comes voting rights as well on whatever decisions come with owning a basketball team. The voting is conducted on the block chain and because it uses NFT technology anyone whoâs a current holder of the token gets access to decision making. The future of business both inside the metaverse and outside in the âreal worldâ is large to medium sized collects of people buying, managing, and owning companies, properties, and sports teams. The nature of branding itself is about to change and in a really big way.
Imagine the possibilities that arise with investing in NFTs, invites to highly sought-after parties on mega yachts and million-dollar Malibu homes. Ownership of million- and billion-dollar companies though the decentralized blockchain. Access to really popular video games. Does anyone here have a Blizzard subscription to WOW where they pay $15 per month to play? Imagine owning a lifetime subscription for a few hundred-dollar investment today because subscription services are likely to become NFTs as well. Every single owner of one of the DeGods tokens has guaranteed season passes to basketball games. The possibilities are virtually limitless. The primary point being that âyoung peopleâ today will not be that interested in investing through hedge fund managements in the stock market yahoo I made 1.2% dividends on my TD Bank investment. Bleh. When you can invest the same amount of money and be a partial owner of the DC Mavericks (Hypothetically). Now of course all this is speculation and may or may not come to pass exactly as I have described but consider some numbers for a second. While the âmetaverseâ is a fancy buzzword that no one can really yet describe; Facebook/Meta have announced they will be spending $100 Billion dollars (More than twice what Elon Musk just dropped for Twitter) over a 10-year period investing in âthe metaverseâ. That is more than 50 times the initial investment Steven Jobs made to produce the first iPhone. And the iPhone was a cultural revolution that changed the world. Imagine another such revolution that is 50 times as life changing and every single person reading this is lucky enough to be alive at a time to get in early on some of this.
Granted in full disclosure its not all sunshine and rainbows I did lose $400 because I was a complete dumbass and bought into hype over a project that was absolute trash run by a garbage team of developers who outright left the discord community to become overrun with bots. Granted to say that Vision Boys an NFT that minted on the Solana network this week is absolute trash. The art however is very pretty but not $400 pretty. And given that the true value proposition is access to a community, the community of Vision Boys holders is very much not a vibe. A total 100% pump and dump, which in the world of NFTs often gets referred to as âthe rugâ. Its still new and the developers have announced staking so perhaps there is a chance to eventually turn a profit on the investment, but until the mods get a hold of the bots overrunning the community it doesnât stand a chance. They went from 47,000 members in the discord channel to 20K in a matter of 3 hours post launch because it was nothing, but bot spam and it was clear the project was dead on arrival. The previously mentioned stolen money from my wallet was because I clicked a link to âmintâ the NFT that was sent to me by one of these discord bots. And when I talked about it on Twitter even, my feed was overrun with bots tagging random user accounts with 2 followers saying they can help me recover the lost money. No. not even close if anyone ever, ever, ever tells you that they can recover stole funds they are scammers themselves. Be cautious be vigilant and be alert and never click a random link in a browser with a connected Metamask or Phantom wallet.
Letâs talk about some of the good. Iâve met people in my first week on NFT Twitter that turned $200 into $15,000 in 3 days because they were whitelisted for Okay Bears. Okay Bears being a project similar in style to the Bored Apes that are all valued at minimum $100,000 each only the Okay Bears released on the Solana blockchain. The difference being that the Bored Apes are an Ethereum based NFT, and Okay Bears are bought and sold using SOL on a website called Magic Eden. Which is like the eBay of NFTs on the Solana node. The largest website for buying and selling NFTs is called Open Sea and primarily deals with ETH based tokens. The primary difference between the two is the cost to buy in. The big boys with thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars to blow will usually buy and trade Ethereum based tokens for 2 reasons. The mint cost of buying the token when it first launches can be as high as $1000 for a single JPEG. As well because of something known as âgas feesâ which refers to the added cost of making trades on the Ethereum network can be as much as $70 per trade or transfer. Insane given most stock exchanges charge $10 per buy and sell trade.
That is where Solana and Magic Eden come in. Solana NFTs are the place to be for beginners such as myself and those with very little money to invest and/or those who want to dip their feet in slowly. You can buy an NFT at mint price in some cases for as low as $10, and if youâre lucky it could balloon to 1 SOL ($100 USD) and you will 10x your money on the same day. Reinvest that into 10 more NFTs the next day at mint and turn that $100 investment into $1000 in a week. Worst case scenario you lost $10 which youâd probably blow anyways on a lotto ticket or at the casino, but the risk to reward ratio makes much more sense. If youâve ever lost money at a casino but shit on people for buying NFTs I seriously do not understand. I know furries who have spent over $1000 on a piece of art. Why not spend $1000 on a piece of art that could get you voting rights and profit sharing of a million-dollar company?
With regards to community, because the buy in costs for Solana projects are much lower the teams are often (but not always) more accessible with a few hundred or a few thousand followers on Twitter. Unlike some ETH crypto whales with over 100,000 followers. The Discord communities feel more like a âcommunityâ and people are much more approachable.
One such community that I joined this week that I feel very much at home with is a project called Rogue Sharks. The Rogue Sharks Twitter account has 50,000 followers but the developers and team leaders are very much approachable in their Discord chat. Iâve only known these guys for a week, and I already consider them family. In fact, when they learned about the money that was stolen from me, they banded together to fundraise to help me out. It was actually incredible to see the generosity coming from complete strangers who donât even know me irl. I hesitate to mention that because I donât want people to join the community who only do so expecting favours. They only knew who I was because I was tweeting them out every minute on Twitter grinding like a fucking psychopath. But the conversations Iâve had with some of the sharks have been very enjoyable and I really do refer to them as family. Unlike the other discord I was in overrun with bots the chatter is kept to a minimum. Everyone is extremely respectable, and the aligned vision of everyone on the team have kept the project going months after they initially minted (in October 2021). They sold at first for 4 SOL (about $400) USD and some people sold out at 144 SOL making 30x increase on profits in a single day. It was the most historic event on Magic Eden and had their servers crashing for the whole day. That was not replicated until Okay Bears was minted 4 days ago for 1.5 SOL, the entire network was overrun with volumes of trading and now it sits at a healthy 100 SOL or $10,000 USD.
Right now, you can get a Rogue Shark for 2.75 SOL which is less than the initial minting price, but donât let that fool you for a second. The devâs didnât just up and run away in November with everyoneâs money, but they have been hard at work focused on brand deals and developing their own metaverse space known as âSeaPodsâ which just released this week. Full disclosure I bought 8 Sharks because I love the team, the project, and the art as well. I find the Rogue Sharks at the perfect intersection of my interest in tech as a software developer, my love for the furry community (as the artwork are anthropomorphic sharks), my passion for muscle and fitness as the Rogue Sharks are mighty sexy indeed hahah, and finally my interest in investing. Its got every last box checked.
What I find most amazing about the Rogue Sharks however is that they recognize the future of NFTs when it comes to branding and building brand loyalty. There have been talks about possibly partnering with famous athletes, sponsoring body builders, clothing deals perhaps with the likes of Gym Shark, gaming events with Mr. Beast (he never responded). The possibilities are only constrained by the size and quality of the community. DeGods were the first to achieve the real-world interaction between NFTs and branding in a really big way with the purchase of their basketball team. Given Mr. Beastâs #TeamSeas initiative as well as his gaming channel and now the SeaPods being one of the highest qualities metaverse worlds to be released, itâs entirely possible he might take interest in the future with the Rogue Sharks. The sharks have already partnered with an Oceanic conservation organization by the name of OCEARCH. I personally canât wait for shark week in august to see the amazing marketing opportunities they might take. They already bought a billboard in downtown New York before. Currently another NFT by the name of The Lazy 8ight Yacht Club has an ad up right now. They were all over the news as being the first metaverse high end yacht club.
There is another aspect to the NFT world known as Tokenomics which is where 99% of the so called âshit coinsâ youâve heard about originate. Ya, I hold 5 billion Baby Doge myself, but it only cost me $25 to buy. If Elon Musk pumps it to $0.001 Iâd literally be a millionaire based on the math alone. Many NFT have a so-called roadmap that usually starts with Mint first, then staking followed by some promised metaverse space. The Rogue Sharks went for the metaverse space first before the staking. And from the sounds of it, staking is planned for some time in the very near future. The idea behind staking is that you get rewarded for holding onto your NFTs which indicates that you believe in the project. As opposed to gifting them in Twitter raffles or trying to flip them on Magic Eden for a quick buck. Fundamentally speaking NFTs have all the same marketing principles as stocks on the NYSE. Some companies pay you dividends either monthly, quarterly, or yearly for holding the stock and not selling. A high enough dividend with enough stocks owned and you can live forever on the dividends alone. The same idea with staking only instead of getting paid in fiat currency you earn some form of virtual currency. In the case of Rogue Sharks, the coin is $ROGUE. And in the case of "staking" it will be done in a 3D immersive gym/metaverse game. Perfect branding for pumping iron and getting swole as a metaphor for earning digital coin. Fat muscles, fat wallets.
Other then being a virtual coin that you can use to buy items and stuff in the game component of the NFT, the shark team is hard at work trying to find other ways of adding real world value to so called $ROGUE coin. Iâve offered a few ideas myself. Imagine a branding deal with Gym Shark that allowed you to purchase Gym Shark clothing using $ROGUE. Given that its quite expenses and some people are total brand loyalists to the Gym Shark brand, it may actually be better for them to buy a rogue shark and grind in game to earn coins to purchase clothing. Fitness supplements and gym memberships are also very expensive. Perhaps holders of ROGUE coin can one day offset some of their real-world bills using this virtual currency if they donât have to use their Visa card anymore to buy the gym supplies, they require.
In addition to the branding deals there is of course the exclusive invites to real world events. The Rogue Sharks held a yacht party at the end of last year. They have already floated the idea of having a meetup in LA sometime in July. Another NFT by the name of the Trippinâ Ape Tribe had a dope AF party in Las Vegas last month. And given that their brand image are moneys stoned out of their minds its suffice to say the parties they host would likely cater to people who are deep into the drug culture. Given that a lot of furries go to cons and or have shark sonas I wanted to write this article here on Fur Affinity to see if the Rogue Sharks would interest anyone. It may just be âyour thingâ. I know for myself I have felt more a part of this community in my 7 days of being in the chat then really any other community or group of people Iâve ever spent time with. Iâve always been viewed as the outsider often cast aside the moment people are fed up with me or had enough of my bullshit. But the sharks feel like family for life.
To end this article, I wanted to write a few paragraphs on the specifications of NFTs from what I have learned thus far. NFT mints as I have referenced throughout this article refer to the creation process of the NFT. Am not actually sure if the art is generated before hand or algorithmically on mint. The total number of NFTs minted is usually between 5000 and 10,000 but can be as low as 100 depending on how exclusive the club wants to be. Rogue Sharks total supply is 5000 and I own 8. You can see given the math just how exclusive some of these clubs can get. I donât know how many DeGods there are, but their total supply is 10,000. Each NFT is individually unique, and a variety of factors are taken into consideration when pricing them out. For example, one shark sold for over $1000 this week while others sit there at $300 simply because he had a NASA style space suite. The memability of each aspect of the NFT can determine the difference between a Bored Ape worth $100,000 and one that sold for over $1 million.
In the case of the sharks there are 10 unique traits that each can have they are: Image Background, Weapon, Skin, Clothing, Neck, Eyes, Eye Mask, Head, Teeth, and Mouth. Each part of the image is varied slightly. Say for instance some sharks have dragon eyes instead of standard eyes. These ones are rarer. The sharks with space suites are rare but the ones with space suits and a rocket launcher well it sold for $1,2000. Once an NFT collection as they are referred, is minted there will never be another. Projects might opt to mint more art collections that fit the brand on the future. For example, the sharks have considered doing a Hammerhead mint at some point but are focused on building value for the currently holders of the gen 1 version of sharks which are Great Whites. Once the art has been created there is a process for a new team of setting up the proper social media accounts (mostly Twitter and Discord) plus their website and then comes promotion. A date is given to mint, and a selected number of people are granted what is called a whitelist spot, which allows them to purchase the NFTs on launch day before anyone else often at a discounted price or even for free.
Whitelists are highly sought after, and you can get them in a variety of different ways. One of which is commenting on random Twitter raffles. One of which is being part of certain communities who partner with other communities. The Sharks are known on Magic Eden as somewhat king makers. As many of our own got a whitelist for the Okay Bears and as I previously mentioned turned $200 into $15,000 in 3 days. If you can get a highly sought after NFT whitelist it can be the difference between, make or break. It can allow you to purchase into a collection worth $1,000+ for an even $100. As with everything this is 1000% PURE GAMBLING and you should only invest what you are 100% willing to lose. I got carried away and bought with emotion I couldnât sleep the entire night before waiting for the mint to start, I donât even think I ever got that excited for Christmas Day as I have waiting for whitelists. Caution and word of warning to anyone who does enter NFT trading: You will never get to sleep again. Your brain will be full of NFT trades, and you will go crazy messaging everyone on Twitter. Donât use your current account make a new one so as not to lose all your friends who think youâre insane and lost your mind or bought into a total scam. Trade smart, go slow, have fun, make new friends as that is really what the NFT community is about.
I've always thought if I had an alternative sona to my lizard it would be a badass shark. Well now I have one expect to see much more shark themed art over the coming months.

Disappointing Day
Posted 4 years agoWell today was a rather disappointing day. đ never got to workout at Muscle Beach. The $500,000 renovations to the facility are still underway. Locals say it's taking forever and probably won't be reopened until next summer. The video I saw on YouTube posted 3 months ago with people in the gym lifting was from a yearly body building show and the gym was only open for that purpose then immediately blocked off afterwards.
I guess my dream of working out at muscle beach will have to wait until a later time. I'd love to see the gym finally restored and operational. Inspite of the letdown the day wasn't a complete wash. There's so much rich history in the area. I got pictures of the pier adjacent to the original muscle beach which according to Wikipedia is the most photographed place on Earth. I got my picture flexing under the sign to the original muscle beach. I got several pictures of the new muscle beach in Venice. I stood outside the location of the first ever Golds Gym. The same gym Arnold worked out in. I walked the bike path along the beach Arnold rides every day.
I tried the gymnastic rings that were open for use. (I mostly just hung as I'm not a gymnast x3) and got a custom printed muscle shirt of my sona done at one of the gift shops. Today was certainly the highlight of my trip so far even given not getting to workout.

Muscle Beach
Posted 4 years agoToday I will be fulfilling a life goal of mine to workout at the world-famous Muscle Beach in Santa Monica (Venice). The same beach which lies just a block from the first ever Gold's Gym location. The same beach Arnold Schwarzenegger himself worked out. (He still rides his bike in the area if I'm lucky I might even meet him). For the past 2 years or more the beach from what I've been told and seen has lied in ruin. The equipment removed and the walls vandalized with graffiti. The city of Santa Monica has invested a half a million dollars in the past year to completely renovate the park and remove the homeless encampments. As far as I can tell its once again open for operation with all new equipment installed within the past year. There are videos on YouTube from 8 months ago of homeless tents set up on the grounds. And from 3 months ago where the facility looks brand new. Minus the benches which were donated by Joe Weider; the founder of "bodybuilding" and creator of the Mr. Olympia contest. Lots of work done within 5 months. I can't wait to lift iron in such at historic landmark. Hopefully there are lots of shirtless hot guys ;) it is the winter here after all so ya never know.
Subs???
Posted 6 years agoCan someone explain to me exactly what subs are in the new site update for FA? Cause I had 188 watchers but now it shows only 131 subs so what exactly are they and what happened to the watcher count I had yesterday o.o

Vancoufur
Posted 8 years agoJust thought I'd let ye'all know that I will be attending Vancoufur next month in Beautiful BC. ^^ If anyone else is going that would like to hang with me, just let me know. Sounds like there is over 800 furies planned in attendance, so it should be quite awesome. I also have time off next week, and plan to crunch out all the remaining requests (or at least try XD) before I go to VF, so I might then open for commissions while there. Stay posted. :D
Life Journal #1 (Venting My Anger)
Posted 9 years ago I don't usually write any journals about my life, but I really need to get this out there, and I can't use any of my more common means of communication like Facebook to rant about such a topic. The English language is not capable of describing how I fell right now, but I'll do my best. I'm 19 and only found out sometime early this year that I was circumcised and have been enraged ever since. I swear that is an honest to god fact; having lived the sheltered life I have had under my parents, I didn't even remotely understand how sex worked until half way through Grade 10, and as a result did not know the actual difference between having a foreskin or not.
I was able to have a conversation last night with my parents about it (unfortunately the most convenient time had to be so close to Christmas), and was thoroughly disgusted with their reaction to the whole thing. My dad spent half the conversation giggling to himself as though I was a 5 year old child whose life was over because they got the green toy in their Kinder Surprise when they really wanted the blue toy instead. Sorry father but my justification for being enraged runs deeper than an upset child because they didn't quite get what they wanted. You robbed me of 2/3 of my sexual feeling! He wouldn't believe me when I told him that 2/3 of sexual feeling was lost when the foreskin was removed, and didn't really seem to care even if he believed that fact. He seems to think that everything is A OK since there is still some feeling. Of course me and my father are never going to know what real sex is like because we were robbed of it from birth.
I came in with arguments like it traumatizing the child and being extremely painful for them, and potentially cause mental ilness to develop in the child. Well that doesn't do much good when my brother fell asleep on the operating table. So much for it supposed to hurt like hell. My Dad doesn't believe that it has potential to cause all kinds of issues in the child's brain development since he turned out "Normal". Well thanks Dad, I didn't. I suffer 24/7 from the Hell that is OCD, and since it's not genetic in the family (nor does anyone in the family even have any other mental illness) I can't deny the possibly even if it's less than 1% that my OCD could have been preventable had my parents not done what they had. And of course as bad as my life is living with OCD, my parent life is much worse (obviously) having to put up with my OCD having no idea how much it breaks me inside. So I guess everything is just my fault then.
My father thinks that I have no justification being upset, because I shouldn't miss what I never had in the first place. I was hoping he'd say that, because my Grandfather lost 3 of his fingers in a sawmill accident when he was 16 years old. I asked my dad if he would have liked to have 3 fingers removed at birth since after all my Grandpa had certainly been able to survive just fine without them. Well of course he wouldn't want to have 3 fingers chopped off, because they serve an actual purpose. As though the foreskin doesn't serve any purpose at all. This coming from a man who believes that the human body is a perfect temple because it was create by God in the image of God (except of course God didn't create the foreskin, so it has to be removed then).
I even told my father about how the human foreskin is bought and sold and traded like somebody else's fucking piece of property. And how the medical industry will use the foreskin in various beauty products and face creams. He laughed so much as though I pulled that statistic out of my ass because I couldn't come up with a better argument. Was he willing to look it up online though? Of course not! well here you go: reference - https://www.babble.com/mom/3-strang.....ant-foreskins/
the very first article on Google. Sorry father, but your opinion that people don't actually use it in face creams does not trump hard core GOD DAM facts!
And then of course there is all the healthy benefits of having it circumcised. While there is not one ounce of proof that it is more healthy to be circumcised, I can agree with my father that it would make cleaning poopy diapers a lot easier. Sorry father, but I'm not the one who chose to have a baby. Suck it up princess. I don't know, what are your guys's opinion on this: Is my father's desire to make his parenthood job a little easier justification for me permanently losing a part of my body?
And then of course there is that one dead Uncle of a sister, of a father who died half a century before I was born, and had to have the foreskin removed later in life because of medical issues. You know the one guy who serves as the only living testament to why all parents should mutilate their children, and family members are still gonna be talking about this guy for the next 500 years as though anyone even knew him when he was alive. Anyone done later in life feel free to comment.
I could go into religion since after all it originated from religious beliefs, and still continued today because of falsifiable claims that it's better for the child (coming direct from the industry making million in profits from the sale of human foreskin). That is Sick, Sadistic, and Twisted. But I wont go into religion since my parents although being extreme Christians claim no affiliation to their decision on that basis, and I believe them on that.
And after all that with my parents they claim that they hear me and understand my anger. But not enough to warrant any kind of apology, since they have nothing to apologize for. And that they would do it all over again if they had a chance to change their mind, which is what bothers me the most and the whole reason why I decided to write this article in the first place. New parents: (or anyone who will ever be a parent in their life). Just don't! period! Either you are going to regret you decision later in life, or you will choose to treat your son life a court jester causing them to view you as a cunty ass piece of shit who isn't mature enough to take responsibility for their actions.
The final thing I want to talk about is Foregen (http://www.foregen.org/) a research institute in Italy with intentions to use stem cells to fully regrow the human foreskin by 2019. Is it all hype and just fantasy to raise money? Or is their goal actually achievable in such an ass backwards society that doesn't seem to give a rat's ass about topics like this? Do you think 2019 is a reasonable year to hold the company accountable for? Should men have to pay to pay the medical industry replace something they were born with? Is it fair that someone else made thousands in the first place from selling YOUR body?
I certainly hope that it costs a fucking fortune to replace! BECAUSE. Because, I owe several thousands of dollars I have borrowed from my parents without any legal document or agreement holding me bind-able to pay it back. I'd like to give my parent the opportunity to fix their mistake out of the goodness of their heart even if it will cost them up to $10K. Cause if they don't do it out of the goodness of their heart then they are paying for it anyways with their own money. Don't think my dad would be laughing any more when I send him a receipt for $10K in the future. Should I have the right to take law upon myself? Am I over reacting or being vindictive to my parents? Or is it proper justice served when my parents refuse to admit their wrong doings and take responsibility for their actions? Should I have to miss out on real sex for the rest of my life?
Feel free to comment with your opinions. I'm done my rant.

Terribly Sorry :(
Posted 9 years agoSo now that university is back in session I finally once again have the time to post the journal I have wanted to write for over 2 months apologizing to my watchers for the lack of really anything new and for a lack of communication. This summer I was swamped with working a full time job, and furnishing a newly moved into house. On top of that my hard drive dies 2 months ago and I spent at least a month recovering 90% of the data, but I am still missing certain things that I might never get back at this point. Anyways I have wanted to finish my request list before the end of summer but didn't even come close. I am going to crunch hard over the next several days and hopefully I'll have something to show by the weekend.

Fur Eh 2016: Afterward
Posted 9 years agoWell it has now been a week since I left to go to Fur Eh! Wow does time ever fly by O.o
I never would have been able to predict how awesome it would turn out, but that was one of the best weekends of my life!! To think that a little less than 2 months ago, I didn't even know anyone else who was into the fandom. Now I've met so many amazing people, and this weekend really got my even more involved than I have ever been in the fandom.
Special thanks to
StealthyD for being my friend, and letting me come with him to this years con.
I was so happy I got to meet and hang out with other scalies too like
PianoDrake
Slyther
SabreDragon
Tyrannotaur
nakiri
Some of the non-scaly people I really enjoyed hanging out with as well:
pyrenite1001
Zeno_The_Jackal
jquiroga28
chibipanda
soulzsergal
arkxy
zynehusky
It was also very cool meeting people from the same community as me!
I was extremely happy with the badge commission I got done by
eerieeden it turned out very cool and finally allowed others to see who I was without having to pull out all my ref sheets to show them. :D
I also commissioned some amazing work from
lazyleopard and
Slobberknocker
When you see other people's drawings of your own character; it really gives you a new appreciation for the art.
The event was jam packed with soo much stuff to do right from the start, and I found the days went by just way too fast. Thanks to
Sergov for hosting the dragon meet and greet. And who ever brought the live lizard for everyone to pet was very awesome. I'd actually never had the opportunity before to touch a reptile ^^
My favorite event was the Talent Show. I wasn't sure what to expect going in, but all the performances and video presentations were stunning!!
Learned just how small the world/fandom is when I saw an old friend
asurium from cadets that I hadn't seen in almost 3 years! Great to see you again dude. I was also excited whenever I saw someone who's character I had previously seen at some point on the internet, and some art work that was even in my favorites gallery.
As an artist myself, I really enjoyed showing others my work and getting their reaction/opinion of it. I also learned some rather valuable techniques I hope will improve my art even more.
Walking around the Dealers Den and seeing all the art and level of talent they brought in was a lot of fun. Although I probably spent too much, and don't even have money left anymore for food XD :D :) :| :( '(
I think the artwork done by
redcoatcat made this years Fur Eh the most Canadian Fur con there could possibly be with the whole RCMP uniform theme going on!
Seeing the interaction between people Fur Suiting and the families from Fort McMurry who had no idea the hotel was hosting them, a Fur Con, and a wedding was rather quite special. It really helped them out in tough times and gave them a distraction to keep their mind off the fire.
Thanks to all the staff and volunteers for hosting the event and making it a weekend I will never forget.
From start to finish, the whole weekend was a blast, and I will absolutely be going again next year. I hope to even attend other cons like Vancoufur or Furnal Equinox to see everyone again and meet even more amazing people! :D I never would have thought I could open up to anyone with my "big secret" that I enjoyed anthro art, but after meeting so many people who share common interests as me; I am totally fine now if people find out I'm a Furry. Cause I'm weird and enjoy being so :P
