Just wanted to change my journal thing haven't done that in awhile. I don't post much here though I do try to check messages and stuff as often as possible. Current pony cons on my list in order CMC (getting dragged there kicking and screaming but its free so yay I guess) TrotCon, and BronyCon. I also have friends trying to talk me into AC - kinda what an OC suit prior to going to something like that - at the same time its an hour away so might just go anyway even if just for a day. Blah blah blah ask anything blah blah blah ponies.

Keep in mind I'm sarcastic 90% of the time and I often come across in text as very harsh but without tone that's what happens. If I offend you in anyway please say so because I most likely didn't mean to, also on that note, with something like that be straight forward I normally don't pick up on hints.

Well this was an interesting experience, first con ever, over all would say more fail then fun but when you show up somewhere not knowing anyone let alone not knowing anything that goes on at a con what can you expect. Loved the dances- and thanks to those that gave me glow sticks and what not that was fun. Art gallery was great, and to me the live art (the costuming itself) was really fun to see. The comedy shows I found kinda dull but I have a very dry/dark sense of humor so the slap stick style stuff was not what I was looking for- and the guy that tried to be dark with something about you can mess with me but I'll kill you I you touch me family - nice try but you went way off topic for the scene. Forgot to buy art - seems kinda silly but realize that I hadn't picked out anything- oh well I have ordered plenty online for the next one. I think the big killer for me was not having a suit - I just love messing around and without a suit I was really only observing. In all reality if I had one I would have been across the street messing with people at the auto show but that's just me, and I'm sure I could have found some peeps to join in. Seeing as my suit will be based in MLP finding the pony cars would have been fun. Second mistake didn't bring a flash - though I prefer to do low light photography without a flash everyone moves around too much for that to work. Besides I had the camera setup for studio/scenery so I decided to just deal with that some other time and find other stuff to do. The biggest killer to me was the poor cell phone reception throughout most of the lower levels. Invited people out for food and drinks, and due to lack of communication and delays in texting not only missed eating out with people I just meet; by the time I found out this had happened it was too late to call up my friends in Chicago for food somewhere else. However still met some interesting people with the food set up at the con didn't even know it was going to be there. Last but not least, right as the closing ceremonies are getting ready to start, get a call from a friend having some sort of car trouble out in PA- ya look at the watch - well can make it by midnight if I leave now- hour into the drive problem was resolved so another thing added to the list of stuff I missed.

Plan for next time- have a suit- not going to even bother with the camera I rarely look at my own pictures anyway. Beer. Run around the city rather than the con- I know plenty of people in Pittsburg so Anthrocon should be a blast regardless. (Look for ponies they will be there)

So MFF sucked for me but I now know what to look for at a con to have fun- oh and the dance competition was quite interesting - I've been to many throughout my life but never with furries added more than I thought it would- however it also detracted some; sharpness of some moves for example regardless the dancers were skilled.

I will be trying to make it to MFF - as in I will be driving from Cleveland to Chicago while trying not to fall asleep behind the wheel - saddly no suit yet but I will be bringing my camera and therefor many pictures

I must say one of my favorite parts of MLP:FiM is the comments on youtube from bronies to characters to general miss understandings but this inspired me to make this post.
