Posted 6 days agoOne cannot work a week on an art piece and get 100 euros from it.
Accountants charge that for an hour's work + 25.5% VAT
A barber as well: I get charged 35 euros for a 15min haircut here in this small town.
At the store you spend easily over 100 euros in a week to food for 2 people.
Electricity costs 300 - 600 euros per month in the winter due to heating, even when we use firewood as well.
It sucks so bad living from hand to mouth.
People complain about you making and posting too many YCHs but then they are not ready to pay for a unique piece.
Then you read comments like
"I wish more artists made free templates, that you could color your character in, I could even pay 5-10 dollars for it, just cos its so nice"
- You'd then need 100 people to pay that 5 dollars for the base with clean lines, shading, etc so you could then maybe get the hours back in worth of money you spend on the base.
You also wouldn't go up to a barber and say, after they finish cutting and styling someones hair for an hour, "I'd pay 40 cents for that work you just did 😀" when they actually probably charge 140 euros minimum. I would be more thoughtful when commenting to an artist about the worth of their work, especially if they are generous enough to share it for free.
"Great art only comes from suffering"
This mindset that you should suffer to make beautiful art exists solely for artists and writers: No one tells doctors to work for exposure, nor engineers that their passion should be the reward for their work. We take art for granted: people love to consume different forms of art daily, but not to pay for it. Being creative is essential for our well being and we all benefit from the entertainment and change it brings to our cultures.
I don't know what profession truly is the future? It seems only those make money that exploit others. We have just new faster and dumber ways of doing it with cryptocurrency, NFTs etc. It says a lot about us as a species that one of the biggest economic bubbles invested in lately is AI.
AI is making the future of art very unsure. It is a way to steal the work of creative people and use their content to milk out money.
And people are so willing to consume the slop it spits out. AI should be a helpful tool to be used in creation, not the sole creator that replaces actual artists and learning new skills.
Times are tough and its not only the artists who will lose to AI:
So many people are losing basic office work as well, as big companies do their everything to replace actual people.
The government here actually recommends small businesses to replace work with AI as much as possible too "learn to move on with the times".
The world has been upside down for long time: where hard manual labor doesn't pay anything, while sitting on your ass deciding things does: A farmer makes a huge loss after a year of hard work but the big stores are making record profits selling the food farmers produced.
Meanwhile a meeting bonus for politicians can be thousands of euros a day, just for sitting in place for someone in a chair, or even in reserve online, not deciding anything, just being there cos the bureaucracy demands that there are people present when they hold a speech to themselves about how important they are.

It is true but we don't want fascism either.
If those who hold power and decide everything are corrupt and use their power only for their own gain, they should be held accountable.
There is enough resources on this planet for everyone to have a good life, but we as a species choose to keep the wealth and power for only a few and artificially make things scares and ruin the planet by burning it, when there are much better alternatives for energy.
Capitalism fails when it throws away tons of food, when there are hungry people who'd need it right next to it. It also fails when it allows millionaires to start writing all our laws by lobbying.
Communism doesn't work cos it will be misused by those in power (same problem as in a capitalistic society).
Communism works in an ant nest but not in a human society.
It might also work in a small commune where people love each other, until one of them becomes a cult leader and starts a religion.
Socialism however is far from communism, it is balanced and it can work with the right leadership.
I happily pay taxes when it goes to the education of future generations, healthcare, to take care of the less fortunate. But not when it goes to building fancy castles for decision makers or pay for their taxi fees or flying around the world.
It is not wrong to want more for yourself, but it is wrong to want bad/less for others. You should wish things to be good for you as for others.
Most of us feel powerless to change things in this mad artificial world we have build around us, truly we can only affect the things near us, in our town and the people close to us.
Big companies shift the blame to the consumer about recycling plastics, when the company itself does not pay anything towards building a system for the recycling of the plastics.
Yet everything is covered in plastic.
We see the same issue with the food industry: "it is the consumers responsibility to eat healthy" but then they make sugary shit cheap and real food more expensive. And they make more profit as poor people get sick from addictive sugary foods.
We live in a world lead by greed and corruption. Education is the only thing that can help us navigate it and our only hope we learn to differentiate biased lies from the truth.
But AI is negatively affecting our ability to learn, focus and check for credibility.
The world should not be "every man for themselves", but how can we work together to improve all our lives and live on in harmony with ourselves and other species on this planet.
I just don't know when will we ever evolve out of greed, when it is written in our DNA. We can start by checking our consumerism and actually voting the right emphatic people into decision making.

💚 For anyone who is struggling right now 💚
Posted a month agoYou are enough, and you got to start saying that to yourself daily.
And you can always do so many things to improve your life situation!
But I know sometimes your resources are absolutely spent and you are just in a cycle of coping to exist.
You have to break free of that cycle, with small steps towards the better life that you want.
I will recommend you guys 3 books that have affected my life positively over the past few years:
Atomic Habits - by James Clear
You cannot summon up motivation forever to do the things you want, you have to make these things a routine. A routine does not require you to put a lot of efford or thinking into doing something, it just requires you plan something realistic ahead of time and just execute this plan on a regular basis till it becomes automatic and effortless to start.
Like after not moving for a long time, exercising feels like shit for the first 2 weeks you do it, but then you might start to enjoy it and it becomes a hobby you do for a lifetime.
And you gotta start easy, and build up over that.
Just 10 min of exercise or learning a new language daily, is better than none and it will build up over time and soon you might be so into the hobby that you spend hours on it weekly.
You also gotta make your bad habits harder to do, if you know there is something you dont want to do, like eat unhealthy snaks, you just dont buy them or bring them to your home. The book teaches great methods.
Glucose Revolution - by Jessie Inchauspe
This book has turned around my way of eating and I feel much better and healthier. Simplified: it tells you to eat your food in the right order: To have vegetables first, then proteines and fat and always lastly your carbs. But you don't have more carbs than you had vegetables as a starter. This way you reduce the harmful glucose spike and have less insulin in your body. As having too much insulin all the time in your body is what causes majority of national diseases: type 2 diabetes, heart diseases, joint pains etc. Having high bloodsugar causes inflammation in the body and can make it harder for your immune system to fight off germs, cancer cells and get rid of all the toxins you build up daily.

Dr. Pradip Jamnadas explains on the video the same subject as Jessie Inchauspe in her book, but his approach is more towards fasting and limiting the amount of insulin spikes you have in the day.
I've been testing 18/6 fasting for the last 3 weeks, so breaking my fast after 2pm and having another meal before 8pm and then fasting the 18h. I am definitely losing some stubborn fat I've had for years, which I am happy of and I will keep this up as long as it feels comfortable. I dont get hungry when I fast, which makes this easy but I also dont want to lose any muscle, so I take EAA (Essential Amino Acids), electrolytes and exercice daily during my eating hours.
Fasting I would not reccomend for someone who is on medication, especially insulin. You'd have to plan things out with your doc and be under surveillance.
The Power of Now - by Eckhart Tolle
This book teaches you that you are not your mind/ego. Your ego is a defense mechanism that is supposed to keep you safe, but in the modern world it often turns against you: it makes you wallow in self pity, it says everyone is against you and out to get you etc.
The book teaches you to become the observer of your ego, so you can choose how you react to it's nonsense. Only by accepting and letting go of the negative words it tells you, will you be eventually free of the ego. You are not your mind, your mind is supposed to be a tool you pick up when you need it and put on the shelve when you dont. If you let your mind tell you horror stories of the future or dwell in the negative things in the past, then you are not incontrol of it.
The book in my opinion focuses too much on mediation and trying to stay in the "Now" when the fact is most of us dont have the time nor energy to stay in the Now all the time, to silence a negative ego/painbody.
You of course first need to learn to listen and feel your body, and to distinguish what is your ego's negative view and whats actually real.

But I think instead of just avoiding the ego, you have to actively start to reform your ego into a supportive system for yourself. This starts by saying good things to yourself daily in your head, over time it becomes a good automatic habit.
You have thousands of thoughts in your head daily, and if most of them are negative, it is exhausting to live with your ego.
So you gotta accept and let go of the negative words, know they are not true and start giving yourself the love and support you deserve by saying to yourself daily:
- I love myself, I am enough
- I dont have to be perfect, I deserve my love even with flaws
- I am doing the best that I can to improve, even if it is just a small thing
- Well done dear, you are doing amazing
- Its ok to fail, you need to fail to grow
Make your own words, make them suit for you, make them believable and supportive to you.
You need to learn to essentially selfsoothe, something so many of us did not learn to do as kids, cos our parents didnt know how to do it for themselves.
And you need to talk to yourself better than you would to a boy/girlfriend, cos you are your loved one and you certainly will always be there for yourself for the rest of your life, so why not take good care of yourself.
You are amazing, you deserve your love, you are enough!
You will improve over time and are capable to achieve anything you put your mind to and work towards.
You also have only one body, and you might be angry at your body for some features, you'd want to be different. But your body is doing amazing things everyday to keep you alive. It is fighting off so many things, from mold to bacteria to viruses, to filtering toxins and covering up microplastic inside cocoons, which forever remain in your body. What your body then needs, is not negativity, shaming and stress from you, it needs your love and care.
Food can be your medicine or your poison, educate yourself and give your body what it needs. Getting good gut microbes and a steady glucose levels will affect your mental health positively as well. Start avoiding sugar and processed food as much as you can. Eat lots of vegetables and clean protein. Get omega 3 fats but avoid too much omega 6 and 9, which are found in seed oils, why? Big issue with capitalism is, people are making a lot of money keeping you sick: first making you sick with addictive sugar, which is put in everything and then selling you insulin as you get type 2 diabetes or other diaseases beacause of it.
Sugar companies use today the same tactics as the tobacco companies in history, by lobbying with covernments, spreading misinformation, influencing scientific research to shift blame for health problems, like obesity, to fats, and marketing highly addictive, palatable, crunchy, chewy, carb heavy products to us all.
Good fat is needed, your brain is mostly fat, if you are on a low fat diet, with medication that strips away fat from your brains, alzheimer's or parkinson's is knocking on your door.
Good fat sources are: Fish, Nuts, Butter, Ghee, Olive oil and Coconut oil.
I could go on about this but I am not the best figuring out what is right for you. You need to learn to listen to your body. Not every food item is good for everyone, but I can say sugar is bad for everyone, it causes depression and so many diseases, so learn to protect yourself from too much of it.
To feel good you need to have a balance in your body, mind and social life. Take good care of yourself and practice gratefulness, there is always more to be grateful about, in this moment.
And you can always do so many things to improve your life situation!

You will improve over time and are capable to achieve anything you put your mind to and work towards.
You also have only one body, and you might be angry at your body for some features, you'd want to be different. But your body is doing amazing things everyday to keep you alive. What your body then needs, is not negativity, shaming and stress from you, it needs your love and care.
Food can be your medicine or your poison, educate yourself and give your body what it needs. Getting good gut microbes and a steady glucose levels will affect your mental health positively as well. Start avoiding sugar and processed food as much as you can. Eat lots of vegetables and clean protein. Get omega 3 fats but avoid too much omega 6 and 9, which are found in seed oils, why? Big issue with capitalism is, people are making a lot of money keeping you sick: first making you sick with addictive sugar, which is put in everything and then selling you insulin as you get type 2 diabetes or other diaseases beacause of it.
Sugar companies use today the same tactics as the tobacco companies in history, by lobbying with covernments, spreading misinformation, influencing scientific research to shift blame for health problems, like obesity, to fats, and marketing highly addictive, palatable, crunchy, chewy, carb heavy products to us all.
Good fat is needed, your brain is mostly fat, if you are on a low fat diet, with medication that strips away fat from your brains, alzheimer's or parkinson's is knocking on your door.
Good fat sources are: Fish, Nuts, Butter, Ghee, Olive oil and Coconut oil.
I could go on about this but I am not the best figuring out what is right for you. You need to learn to listen to your body. Not every food item is good for everyone, but I can say sugar is bad for everyone, it causes depression and so many diseases, so learn to protect yourself from too much of it.
To feel good you need to have a balance in your body, mind and social life. Take good care of yourself and practice gratefulness, there is always more to be grateful about, in this moment.

Posted 9 months agoYou DO NOT have the right to cancel an online purchase when the goods are made to order: Goods manufactured or modified in accordance with your requirements, or that are clearly adapted to your personal needs, such as an ART commission drawn/painted to your specific desire.
On auctioned traditional pieces however, you do have a 14-day return policy.
Traditional artworks carry a 14-day return entitlement within the European Union (EU) and non-EU Nordic countries.
Outside the European Union, artworks carry a 7-day return window.
If, for any reason, you are dissatisfied with the artwork you’ve purchased, you have the option to return it within 14 days of the artwork’s arrival. The return shipping costs are the buyer’s responsibility, but If the product was damaged during transit, I cover the return shipping costs, if you show photographic proof it was already damaged upon receiving.
RETURNING A TRADITIONAL AUCTIONED ARTWORK:
Contact me in DMs or via NOTE to initiate the return process for the ordered artwork.
Repackage the artwork in the same manner it was received, removing the previous package card.
Once I have safely received the artwork, I will proceed to refund the purchase amount to you, without the original postage and packaging fee. Post is a separate service and they need to get paid for delivering items. Some companies give consumers a right to free return but the Finnish law does not require this. An artwork is not a consumable, it is not meant to be shipped around carelessly, please be mindful with your purchase decisions.
Given the unique nature of these products, careful packaging is of the utmost importance. The artwork must be undamaged and securely packed in the original or similar packaging. The packaging should have a soft interior and a sturdy exterior, capable of withstanding shocks and stacking.
A return is valid if the product remains undamaged (unless it was already defective upon receipt) and shows no signs of usage. Preferably, the returned product should be packaged using the original materials. The following instructions should be observed:
Ensure the package is intact.
Eliminate any empty spaces within the package.
Utilize foam, styrofoam, or bubble wrap for soft inner packaging.
Place cardboard or similar robust material between flat and fragile items to fortify the package’s outer shell, ensuring it can withstand impacts and stacking.
Before dispatching the return, the buyer must send photographs of the product and the finished packaging to me. This step ensures an evaluation of the product’s condition and the package’s durability.
Coordinate with me to confirm the shipment collection date. In the event that the product sustains damage during return transit due to non-compliance with packaging instructions, I reserve the right to deduct the costs of repairing the product from the refund amount, either partially or entirely.

Posted a year agoHey, want to hire some talent with polite and swift service? I usually finish my pics within 1-3 weeks from starting them and I am very fair with fixes and usually generously go an extra mile with my customer's pics to fulfill their desire.
I think most people who have ever hired me can testify to that.
My prices may seem high, but fuck, so are the taxes here in Finland where I live. In worst case, I get less than half of my work's price as salary to my hand. *Poof* 💸
I am not a greedy man - I should try to fix that mindset I guess.
I do want to get rich one day, rich enough to support my loved ones and be able to continue in the creative field until the day I die.
Most financially successful people get their money by exploiting other people, workers or the natural resources in an unethical way.
If I was smart, I'd become a psychopath CEO as well, master of manipulative fuckery and cut down everything in my way.
But I'm not, I have this thing called conscience and empathy that get in the way.
Like with most people, I've always wanted to be good, accepted, liked but I've been chasing other people's approval too much and tried to be liked by people who would have never accepted me as I truly am.
I'm learning to accept that some people will always dislike me for something and I can dislike people too. - Fuck my homophobic neighbors!
I don't have to please everyone to be good. I know I am a good person, I have so much love and kindness in me. And I can be bad at times, make mistakes, hurt others, but I will always apologise and try to make things right.
Something smart I read on Shortform:
"A helpful way of coping with the fact that some people will inevitably dislike you is to look at rejection as the universe’s way to keep you away from someone who isn’t good for you. After all, the more someone dislikes you, the less likely it is that they have the values and disposition that would make you enjoy spending time with them."
I'll slowly learn the art of not giving a fuck XD
My main professional goal is to get better at art and I am steadily doing so. I do need to put more practice in and be more creative and not be discouraged on social media by the low numbers of likes or retweets etc.
If I think that my job is to be seen as much as possible, I am definitely failing that part.
If I think my job is to bring visual joy to some with sexy gay muscle furs, I am doing an alright job.
I'm just trying to make a living in a field that is not financially smart to work in full time, but at least I get to do what I love: be creative and be my own boss.
I should also explore other creative ways to make a living.
I appreciate it greatly when people want so support my creative endeavors! I would not be here making art without you guys.
And thank you for reading my weird train of thought.

How it works:
Payment is upfront in € EUROS with an IBAN invoice, from MY private trader company to your EMAIL, that you pay in your bank - 14 days time to Pay and possibly Cancel*.
For the tax officials I will need your 1. Email 2. Legal name 3. Living address (country for the VAT) and 4. Phone number to send the invoice.
I use || UKKO.fi || accounting service to send my invoices and handle my personal taxes/fees and the 24% VAT from my artworks to Finland.
All your private information will be kept safe and will not be shared or sold to 3rd party members.
If IBAN invoice does not work for you then the payment can be via PayPal (Not preferred). I will get your private information from there too, but I have to pay a bigger cut to PayPal due to their increasing fees.

What am I doing wrong as an artist?
Posted a year agoMy pictures get so little traction: like they did on twitter, when I still had it, the same repeats on Bluesky.
Quite little reposts and likes. I have not made many posts go past 100 likes, most stay in 10s or 30s.
I know posting many YCHs aint the most riveting content. But it is one of the few ways I can make money and still draw a pose for myself I like and some original content with my own characters.
Patreon/SubscribeStar is out of the question for me as well, I do not have enough followers to make one and then I'd be tied to making full montly content for pocket money. And it was stressing me out a lot when I had patreon, tho I appreciated the few patreons who did support me.
I barely have any commissions either atm. Did I lift my prices too harshly? I did have to add in all the taxes, vat and fees I have to pay as an entrepeneur.
I honesly feel very demotivated today. I should come up with a new YCH pose again, but it is always blind shooting. When I think a pose will def sell and then it gets no customers.
Don't get me wrong, I am very grateful for all the people who do support me. Regulars who come back to get a pic and new people who dare to try out my services.
But I do want to improve and I need to make a living and not just scrape by.
