If you're wondering where I've been, I'm an attention hoe and I'd fallen mostly into Twitter since I was garnering more of a following there, as well as more consistent commissions to, y'know, pay my bills lmfao.

I've finally moved out of my mom's place! I got my second job so I can pay bills. I'm on like page 40 of Splitfang prelims, even tho I only really progressed past page 13 in mid-July. I've finally got a working Patreon with a few beloved supporters, where I've been doing a monthly illustration with alts. I've even started doing adoptables again, and had some better luck with those. But I'm realizing now that, as much as I missed drawing humans and monsters while I was doing furry stuff, I'm also missing the furry stuff while doing more humans and monsters lol.

Ayye guys I have a question for yall: what do you want to see more of from me? I've been getting a little more lenient with what I post here, rather than the largely furry content, going into my more human characters and some SFW stuff; do you guys like the widened variety in what I post, or are you looking for maybe even more variety? Or less?

I have been doing a little fine art stuff on the side, as well as some concept art and additional portfolio pieces; I'm working on-and-off on a visual novel, and there's a lot of stuff I don't post here because it's not really smutty or sensual in any way. I'm curious if you guys want to see more in general from me, or if you'd prefer the less frequent but more smutty posts. If I were to start posting sketches I could probably post daily or almost daily, but the odds are with that sketches aren't always gonna be furry or smutty, and I kinda garnered a large portion of my small following doing cute little femboys getting railed lol.

So I guess what I'm asking is: more content in general, proportionally less yiff; or less content in general, but mostly yiff. Also curious if y'all are interested in seeing my more fancy shit, portfolio pieces etc.

As far as the general update is concerned, I'm still sans Real Job and the hunt is wearing me down significantly. My mom is full of good intentions and tricks that would have worked when she was my age like 30 years ago. Which is why, after many years, I'm once again considering opening a Patreon. The first time I tried I really had no idea what I was doing and it flopped for obvious reasons, but I think I've solidified a way to get what I need to get together and I'm definitely considering having another go.

Here's the thing though...my Patreon wouldn't be smut-based. I like doing smut and all, but it's not what I want to do for the rest of my life. I'll probably be keeping that here. If I do open a Patreon, it'd be for loads of additional sketches, WIP's and previews of art, early shots at adoptables, high-res art, bonus arts, tutorials, brush/resource packs...that sort of stuff. I'd be doing monthly art raffles, streams, discounts off commissions, and posting .PSD files of finished works for patrons.

Patreon is the closest shot I've had to being able to live off my work, and I'm more than willing to put in the effort and learn from what flopped from my first attempt. I am curious if any of you guys would be interested in supporting me on Patreon once I get it set up; I've got tiers set up already for who gets what, at this point I just gotta make graphics and get my page ready to go.

HEY GUYS!! I'm chipping away at the YCH that just ended and I plan on having it done and a new one up by the end of the week, but I've also been working on my professional stuff and I wanted to try to gauge interest levels.

Y'all have probably been hearing me mention Splitfang for a while, and I've finally been able to solidify that Splitfang Beta will go live on May 11th! Splitfang Beta will include the first 8 pages of the comic, as well as stickers, posters, and other merch available on Redbubble and at real-life conventions I'll be attending. My only problem now is that getting good-quality stickers printed is...pricy. lol. I have nine designs- one for each character in Chapter one, and the logo- but I will realistically only be able to print four or five for the first run. All of them will be available on Redbubble when Splitfang Beta launches, but for my first IRL convention (that being Art Attack and possibly Granite Con / AAC) I don't have $500 to drop on stickers lmao. So I'm just trying to narrow it down and reduce that cost.

So ~8 months of Real Job has been very nice to me but sadly I got let go today. Sales environments aren't for me I guess. The company was great and I really enjoyed my coworkers; it was the first job I had other than the RA position where I didn't dread coming in, and the first job at all that I wasn't constantly staring at the clock waiting to be done. I gained a lot of technical skills that I will hopefully be able to apply in jobs to come, but I'm...really upset. It's awful to feel like this and not even have anyone to be mad at. I hadn't understood how dire the situation at my last 1-on-1 had been, but it's certainly not my boss's fault I was a shit salesman. I'm hoping either to find a customer-service based job with similar pay (exhausting but I'm really good at it) or hopefully have commissions pick up enough that I can actually support myself and make rent and tuition payments.

I KEEP SAYING "NEW YCH SOON" AND THEN SITTING ON MY ASS LMAO. 30 hours each a week of school and work is sucking me dry, definitely not in the fun way, but what with me ditching the ink & color style it'll be easier to work on the go and not have to squeeze into the now-tiny space between my desk and chair. OH I don't know if I mentioned in other submissions or a previous journal but I'm finally out of Shithead Sr's house! My mom and my buddy got an apartment way closer to my job about two months ago and it's been pretty nice. My cat has adjusted surprisingly well to apartment life and didn't get too mad at me for putting claw caps on him, I got another two cories to join my existing cories, got them some plants and a nicer filter, got some nicer headphones...all in all, things have been pretty damn good around here.

hi im having a local reaction to my T injection and it SUUUUCKSSSSS


so I got my injection like two days ago, same spot as usual, same needle as usual, with the name brand instead of the generic I was used to. Everything's fine for like 5 hours. Because I get the injection monthly, it's an entire ml of cottonseed oil that gets stuffed into my leg, so I'm used to it being kinda sore later in the day, sometimes into the next day. But around like....midnight, it got amazingly bad. I was shaking and crying from the pain, it was fucking horrible. Worse than the worst period cramps I'd ever had. At like 7am my mom takes me to urgent care, where the doc decides that it's too late to be an allergic reaction (I also wasn't having any respiratory difficulties) and too soon to be an infection, so it was likely that the nurse at Planned Parenthood just accidentally hit a nerve in my leg which is causing the horrible pain up into my hip and down into my calf. In his words, he'd give it "tincture of time" and see what happens, and if the pain doesn't let up or if it gets red/inflamed to come back to urgent care.

It's not super impeding to the way I make art but it's a gargantuan pain in the ass to get out of bed and move. I can't bend my leg hardly at all, and I'm living at this point on water and ibuprofen. The remaining two commission examples are coming along, the next YCH will be here in a bit, I just waned to complain abt this dumb leg.

Only slightly related: I'm considering switching either to subcutaneous (I currently have intramuscular) injections, or to that neat little bead implant thing that they put in your butt flesh. Maybe to the gel/patch if the implant is too expensive. Anyone have any reviews for the above?

OK SO a few months ago when I got my iPad initially I tried out Duet so I could use desktop photoshop on the iPad. it SUCKED BALLS horribly. like the way I draw, the lag made it unusable. and also there was very little versatility to what I could and couldn't actually do; pressure sensitivity worked, tilt was janky at best, and I couldn't make any on-screen shortcuts or buttons for common things like undo, brush, erase, lasso, etc.

I downloaded the free trial today and i LOVE THIS FUCKIN' THING. No more lag than your average tablet monitor, and I have the option of (in a good wifi area) connecting the two wirelessly instead of with the iPad's charger. I can finally work my normal way in-class again, I'm fuckin' thrilled! AND, this also makes it 400x easier to work on NSFW stuff during my long break between classes and also just away from home in general. Desktop PS is no longer chained to my Yiynova (which I still love but is only convenient for "I need to sit down for 5 hours and work on this thing" sort of drawing sessions).

I just wanted to let y'all know. Once I finish the second part of the YCH for Mintmonkey and Genekreuger, I'll post the next YCH which will be more lovely xenophilia! I've already got it sketched out so stay tuned, and thank yall for your continued support! ^u^

OK so. I'm done living here. Like I'm apartment hunting as it is, but I came very close tonight to doing something I'd regret and I can't live with this bastard anymore. There's not a scrap of good in him. All this, by the way, over my room not being clean after two months of 60 hours a week with no days off.

If anyone's got a room in Southern NH for rent, I'm interested. I am apartment hunting (looking to actually get a damn place by december) but I really like....can't be here anymore. Dad lives too far away and I can't afford the extra gas to drive an hour to work and school. I don't have a ton of money because tuition is half of my monthly pay, plus obviously parking and gas. My budget isn't huge but I can make up for it by cooking I guess? Honestly I'm a good chef, if you buy me ingredients I can make awesome meals and can cook for dietary restrictions or vegetarians/vegans. I also don't mind being an extra set of hands for building suits or plushes; I have basic sewing skills and I've helped Starrykitsune on a couple busywork-type suiting stuff in the past (taping heads and footpaws, sewings spots, making basic handpaws).

I'm just....very desperate to get out. If you don't know anyone in Southern NH (preferrably Manchester area) personally, I'd hugely appreciate a signal boost. I do also take donations if you're willing because tuition just ate nearly my entire paycheck for the next two weeks.

Aggravatingly there is a subscription for the version that allows pressure and tilt sensitivity, but if it's only $20 a year that's not too bad I guess. Better than Adobe's $10 a month per application LOL.......what is with software becoming subscription based instead of being able to outright buy licenses? Shit's dumb, yo. As of right now I have no photoshop. Long story short adobe's STUPID BULLISH PIECE OF ABSOLUTE GARBAGE APP Creative Cloud prompted me to update my photoshop...which resulted in my old version being removed and me being "given" a "free 7-day trial." I had a lifetime license for photoshop on this computer. My school's shit IT department never gave me serial numbers for this, and I don't have the disposable income to pay for a BARELY DIFFERENT PIECE OF SOFTWARE WHICH I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR IN FULL THROUGH MY FUCKING TUITION

The good news is that I finally have the iPad pro, so I'm not TOTALLY out of work. I just can't do the fuckin' YCH. Or ANY of my digital homework, lol. I'll need to email my teacher, and IT says he can fix it on monday but. we'll see. lol.....At least with this I can kiiinda do iron artist stuff. There's gotta be an easier way to get the brushes on this damn thing tho cries

So today was....long. lmao. It's hard to go from no schedule to suddenly a bunch of 8-hour shift days in a row, all on your feet doing sales and such. I made good profit today, not that it does me any good since I'm newly certified and I don't get commission for sales yet, but I got a couple phones out the door despite having worse-than-normal-but-not-attack-level anxiety most of the day.

But now I'm wiped. lmao. I won't be drawing tonight, but I have tomorrow off and I plan on getting up at a reasonable hour and devoting the day to getting some artwork done. I've got three IA's (fortunately those are fast) and the YCH (which I plan to at least finish inking tomorrow), and I also wanna finish the species guide for sudenines (a species I've been working on over on DA) and maybe make a trait chart or two. If I still have time after that, I'll do personal stuff.

But yeah. Just a little update. I'll be online most of the day tomorrow. Also classes start on monday apparently (I totally thought I had another week of summer) so YCH's may be a little sparse between college and my irl job, but I'm looking forward to it so much! I'm still bummed I didn't get rehired for the RA position, but I kinda lucked out there in that the dorm I was in didn't get re-leased, so I would have been moved to less favorable conditions...or, based on my GPA being acceptable but still lower than other applicants, dropped anyways. Probably around 5? I've got one iron artist piece which is started and another to do after that; possibly two more, but then I'mma do some personal stuff w Bianco and friends. :3c I may plan a short comic to work on. Be there or be square!!

First things first! On the 28th of this month is my one-year manniversary, which means I'll have been on T for a year....which in turn means my insurance will start to cover surgeries. There's this AMAZING surgeon down in FL whose prices are pretty reasonable for stuff like this and he specializes exclusively in FTM top surgery. Unfortunately, even if my insurance will cover some of it, healthcare in this country still sucks hot balls and at best I'll probably be getting 80% coverage. And, of course, this does not include my flight down there or the hotel, and it may not cover some other fees like preop lab work and postop compression garments.

If you can't donate that's totally fine, but sharing would be massively helpful. My mom is the subscriber on our health insurance so she still needs to call to find out exactly how covered I'll be, and I'll adjust my goal accordingly. So today was my 21st and it was pretty nice, actually. I had a mudslide at the puritan and I picked up a six pack of twisted tea because I'm a weakling but it's been a good day. I have some more cheap'un adopts I plan on finishing and/or uploading tonight (those $5 sketchy ones), spending tomorrow finishing my paintie queue over on FurVilla, and then opening slots for iron artist. Again, they're gonna be $8 for halfbods or cheebs, and $15 for fullbodies.

Also tomorrow I'll be posting the next YCH, which I think will be a SFW one with multiple winners. I know it's wildly overdone but I really love drawing food so I'm gonna do cakes and ramen bowls with lil' characters in 'em. :> And also maybe a couple of those BDSM pinups.

But yeah!! Just an update. Also a question: would y'all be happier if I posted more content here and have it be more SFW stuff and sketches, or is my current output of a few pieces a month of NSFW stuff OK? Once I get the comic started I'll definitely be putting stuff here for that.

In other news....I really, really wanna do Iron Artist for June. I'm turning 21 this coming month, so what better way to celebrate so many years of arting by arting in a needlessly strenuous manner?? jk I honestly think it'd be fun. They'll be $8 for half-body or $15 for full-body, full color either way, plus $5 either way for shading. 30 slots for the full month of June. The way I'd like to do it so that I can do them quickly is to have the commissioner provide me with a reference, specify NFSW or SFW, and then give me a three-word prompt for the thing. (ie elegant, dramatic, grinning) I'll open these slots once I get that older YCH done and I'll get those raffle winners done in the meantime. So if you're interested, let me know definitely! I'll make a new section in my TOS for these as well.

One last thing: I am seriously considering doing a catboy smut comic. Probably ~15 pages, but if it goes over well I may make it a recurring series, because catboys are great and I already love the characters I'm doing for it.

OK so it's finals week, and needless to say I'm stressed and tired. And in addition to that, I found out I'm not going to be re-hired as an RA for next semester. So yeah. That.

It kinda fucked my plans for next year, and I REALLY don't want to have to deal with my mom's shitty/negative boyfriend while I'm trying to to my senior studio and capstone projects, but whatever. It's not life-ruining, or even career-ruining, I'm just....really fucking upset. I'm going to try to find a cheap apartment in Manchester; I know my buddy StarryKitsune had a pretty decent one-bedroom before she headed out west, so hopefully that building is still looking for occupants. I'll need to save up money over the summer too. This also royally fucks my plans of getting top surgery by the end of the year, unless I do a GoFundMe which I really don't want to do mostly for fear of looking greedy. I know that's a stupid way to feel bc dysphoria is one of the few things still fueling my depression even more so than it would be if my life was fine, but just. gh.

The worst part about the RA thing is I know why I didn't get re-hired and I can't even be mad at anyone. Last semester, when I was in and out of the hospital, I royally fucked up my GPA. You need at least a 2.5 to be an RA, and that's a dealbreaker for them. I know there's no other reason; a lot of residents have told me that I'm the easiest to approach of the ResLife team, the RD's have told me I handle emergency situations very well, and aside form missed meetings last semester due to my sickness I've had perfect attendance. It's just the GPA.

I can't leave Manchester just yet because I graduate next year, but even after that I'm not sure if I want to live somewhere else. I've really grown to love this city, gross as it is, and when I graduate I'd honestly like to stay here. The only reason I have to live anywhere else is the arts industry in the California, and that one surgeon in SF who has an amazing track record with top surgery and can have someone else do a hysterectomy while you're under.

tl;dr: I don't get to be an RA again next year, I don't know if I'm gonna be able to get top surgery as soon as I would have liked, and I need to rethink my living situation.
