DAYZ STREAM!
Posted 11 years agoHey all! I've been getting into this DAYZ Streaming thing so I thought I'd give streaming a try! Check it out, I'll be doing hardcore mode with a few friends.

3rd Annual 8-bit Salute! Support TEAM HONEY BADGER! :D
Posted 11 years agoTeam Honey Badger needs your support!We are participating in the 3rd annual 24 hour game stream event called "8-bit Salute" This event is for the benefit of the troops and will deliver gaming supply drops to returning/recovering soldiers. If they can make they sacrifice of time, sweat, blood and tears then why not give them a little bit of citizen support? Lord knows they don't get enough. SO! Drawing, Raccoon, and an SL House! 4-7-13
Posted 12 years agoI took up the sketchpad this morning and oh my how things can start out frustratingly slow. I decided to draw something of a fursona because it's been on my mind lately and it turns out that I need work on the anatomy of a body, the muscles, structure, bones etc. Before I can really nail the profile of his figure I need to learn the basics in general like proportions, symmetry and other small details that I need to work on.
I was told after a long conversation with a couple close friends that my personality is more befitting a Raccoon rather than a wolf. This struck me as rather odd because this wasn't the first time that has been said about me, granted this time was in a strictly furry context. There was one time when the little sister of a friend of mine, back in 2008, told me that I was like a raccoon because I was always travelling and seeing different people all the time! "Shake! You're like a Raccoon! I want a hug!" After I gave her a squeezy hug I asked her, "Woah, why do you say that?" She looked up to me and replied, "Because you're always traveling and meeting people and doing things with stuff and you work with a lot of machines. You're a raccoon!", It was cute and I D'awwwed hard in my head because it was during a period I was considering joining SL again. That sealed the deal and the next thing I knew I was creating my account that weekend.

There are times in your life when you think about the small things that happen and how they might be some sort of message to you from someone or from the universe.
I work best using a single skill for the betterment of a group or team is something that I've always loved to do in life having been in hockey and a few other team sports and competitions, I worked well with a group giving me a "one of the pack" kind of mentality and that's what I think led me toward the wolf as a representative of my personality. However this description isn't entirely accurate and only until recently I couldn't figure out if that was really what my fursona should be.
I'm beginning to do a bit of soul searching to figure out to what extent my fursona would be, a raccoon or maybe a hybrid Wolf/Raccon? A Wolfcoon? XD
Who knows, but at the end of the day today my sketch book think will have one more drawing in it, that's just one step towards a new skill and maybe a new hobby!
I finally built my little hut in space on SL! I found the KzK hollow moon skybox thing and am currently decorating the place, I'll post pic when I'm done and maybe I'll make some SL pics too... It's funny, the way I talk about 3D objects is completely different when I talk about drawing... maybe I should try a 3D program at home? I feel that maybe if I took a class with a modeling program and a drawing/art class that maybe I could turn a completely dreamed up idea into reality. I already have some modeling experience, however it's technical modeling and isn't very useful when making "organic" shapes. I'll have to do some digging on tutorials and a demo of a good program. Anyways... the house was made to reflect something I liked back when i lived with a friend, it's a floating island with a hut on it and I'm going to surround it with plants and foliage, with that galaxy background and some chill music it's very relaxing! It may grow and change as time goes on though!

Journal for Saturday Morning 3-23-13
Posted 12 years agoWell, I keep reading everyone's journal, some are just updates about everyday life, others use them to update fans on stuff or whatnot. Honestly I'm not at all sure what I am to put into a journal, so I'm just go ahead and update it with my life as a means to get used opening up a little more.
Life in work: Some of you may know I work in an engineering company, things have been really busy as the product we've been working on has just had its first demo units sent out for testing, my role in that was to get the bills of materials correct for the production crew to build up the kit fully with all the packaging and bags/labels/instructions in the box. Those fucking labels.... my frustration comes from the fact that when I opened them up to see if they had the up to date information on them, they in fact did not, changing those labels involves a shitty program on a shitty computer that's hooked up to a shitty printer that's 10 years old with no intranet capability. So it took a while to get all of those changed. I could go on about other things at work but at this point... or two lines ago, I'd be ranting. XD
Anyways my twin is getting pissed that I'm taking so long getting ready, I did have more planned for this journal but it's going to have to wait until I get back. We're heading down to my old man's place to help him clean up for Easter next weekend. So I wish everyone well and to have a good weekend!

Posted 12 years agoI'm currently working on a reference sheet for my avatar on SL and yeah, I'll probably add a bunch of artists to my watch list and maybe bullshit with some of you!
Who knows, I just downloaded GIMP to use as my first image editor, so expect some badly made images in the future!
