It was good to hang with some friends new and old; just not enough time to hang with everyone.

I've noticed something though, don't know if it is just me or not... some people mysteriously become either unreachable or just forget certain friends exist at a con. Not complaining or anything, but just something I noticed.

I think the value put on a friendship by someone is directly proportional to the amount of time and effort spent on that friendship; this is especially true during conventions.

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like I'm the one a lot of the time sending that first initial text of "Hey, want to hang out?" or etc, and either getting a response right away... or not at all. Just wonder why that is; it seems sometimes I'm the one like always good enough to hang out outside of a con, but not good enough to hang with at a con? Anyone else get this sometimes? I'm just curious.

Like I said, I don't really care, just an observation, and I had a blast this weekend with the people I hung out with :)

It's probably not a matter of quantity, but a matter of quality.

Also in other news, a bunch of people were shouting my name during the fursuit parade which I found odd... but it was a nice interesting surprise O_o I didn't think that many people knew me; had to be like at least 10 or 15 people. Weird! XD

It'll be good to meet up with friends both new and old! *wags*

Well, last weekend went on a road trip to visit the awesome  rawkitraccoon We went to a casino, I lost money... :( but then had amazing wings :D and did a little bar hopping after that. All in all, a really cool weekend with an awesome friend :3

Weekend before last,  electropaw came to visit; did some fursuit bowling, and went to a ballgame ^^

Might do a camping trip in October with some family, then visit another good friend of mine if schedules work out.

I've been around, just been busy between working and weekends, looking forward to MFF in a couple months! Will be good to see people I don't get to see very often.

(Not my choice, but it was brand new, and it was free... so can't complain really)

Well, it's that time of year again!

Will be road-tripping with  keyla  electropaw  kiarashiba to the hotel.

Debating on whether or not taking two cars so I can enjoy the camaro on the drive down; I haven't made up my mind yet!

I am a bit worried though with MFM being disaster-con, last year the tornado, the year before that a hurricane, the year before that driving in a tornado to the con, etc etc; so maybe I won't bring it XD I have a tendency to attract bad weather and hail; on the other paw, there is always insurance!

Will be rooming with  keyla  electropaw  stuntcoyote A crazy bunch, should be good times and I'm really excited!

With the whole charlie thing, and right after that, step-father being in the hospital, it will be nice to get a break from life!

My little buddy, Charlie, you had a good long run. From the day I picked you up as a kit, I knew I had found my best friend. You were with me and kept me company when I was alone, stole countless socks of mine when I wasn't looking and would always rattle your cage in the middle of the night when you couldn't sleep and wanted to play.

I know that once the seizures had started, you were already gone and a shell was left... and I knew it was only a matter of time that this horrible day would come; the day I had to say goodbye forever.

Thank you for being an awesome ferret.

So, at the last minute  keyla and I decided to go to LAFF bowling meet up in Chicago. By last minute, I mean around 10am on saturday XD.

So, with a whirlwind of packing and ferret boarding we were off!

It was awesome :) I didn't full suit, just partial because it was easier.

Had dinner with some awesome people, big thanks to  panth for including Keyla and I in his plans for the evening at last minute. Thank you!!!!!!!!!

Met up with some awesome friends, both old and new; all in all it was a good distraction from the monotony that has been my life as of late. (I mean, what's more exciting than work, sleep, work, work, and paying off never ending student loan debt that has you trapped in a job you hate everyday, EVERY DAY?! :D I don't know! )

Counting down the days to MFM, it will be nice to get away again very soon!

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy this fandom. What I hate though is flame wars and drama in general.

I've seen a lot of furry drama, but some things REALLY take the retard cake.

The usual formula I see goes as such:

Event taken out of context + blown out of proportion + some aspect of butt hurt = People publicly making asses of themselves.

Simply put, grow up, keep calm, and carry on!

Let's learn to share the love we have for this fandom, put differences aside, act like adults and stay out of people's personal issues.

It's amazing what we can accomplish when we don't waste energy!

Yes! Once again I'll be at MFM! Can't wait to catch up with friends both new and old, and I will be counting down the days as it's been quite a while since I've had a vacation, and really looking forward to it.

So, who all will I see there? :)

Well, been a while since I did a ferret update.

One of our ferrets was diagnosed with insulinoma a couple of months ago. Ever since we have been giving him steroids and making sure he is getting enough food by syringe feeding him a critical care slurry.

He's gotten used to that, and was doing fine for a while, but then the seizures returned, so now we are trying out a new medicine in addition to the steroids. Hoping it will work as it is expensive. (To the tune of over 230 dollars for a tiny 30 ml bottle). Starting it today so we shall see.

Our other ferret got an infection recently which required an ER visit and we are treating her with antibiotics.

I'd say over the past month, we have spent well over $600 on these little fuzzy things between all the vet visits and medicine costs. Please wish our ferrets to be happy and healthy, they certainly need it, and so does our wallet!

On other news, still working, lots... need a vacation from all this and looking forward to MFM more so than usual this time of year.

So, ok, yes I watch HGTV more than I should... now that's out of the way... >_>

Just watched a show where the rent for a 2000 sq ft place is $230 a month; now, yes it is in south america, and yes the standard of living is not quite the same... HOWEVER, the place was really nice and it gets me to thinking why the hell am I still in the United States; the land of little vacation and ass raping taxes.

Another episode was in Australia, I want to go back there some day, and how awesome would it be if it was permanent? So I got into looking how I could become licensed in my profession over there, doesn't seem all too hard.

How awesome would it be to just work for 15 years and be able to retire overseas, or work part time and still get shit tons of vacation; I know the grass isn't usually greener on the other side, but the vacation time that's mandatory in quite a few other countries seems to tell a different story.

Wow! Been a while since a journal.

So, FWA was awesome... well... besides breaking my pinky toe, which now has fused and become one according to the x-ray people; besides the insane pain one would NOT expect from such a tiny little thing, it sounds pretty zen. Broke it right before the fursuit parade on some luggage in the room, so while being all silent and *#@#&$!!! as to not wake the roomies from the pain, I took 4 advil and it was time for the parade!

Totally was lucky and had my new awesome foot paws by  electropaw, really helped me be able to still do the parade! :D

Besides FWA, just working and stuff, TOTALLY have off this weekend so SHOULD HAVE went to FCN (I know, I know I'm lame and stuff), but alas, I believe I'll be spending the weekend taking a little road trip down in the cammy to see the family; been a while.

Some upcoming cons for me, looking at IndyFurCon, never been, might check that out; MFM as per usual, and of course MFF as per usual; I need to make it up to chitown more and hang with all the awesome people up there; a bit more difficult now since I don't get automatic three day weekends every week. Despite that new feature of the new schedule, I am liking it a bit more, not as exhausted towards the end of the week and much less likely to make a mistake, which is good!

Anywho, TLDR: woof & stuff, maybe going to IFC, def going to MFM and MFF. Maybe FCN when it's hotel isn't small.

Can't wait, I need a vacation... Leaving tomorrow morning and should arrive Thurs afternoon/evening.

With all this work and no fun, I've wanted a fun little car for a while now, and I've settled with a 2013 chevrolet camaro :) And yes, it will be yellow with over 300 horsepower. VROOM :D

Well, this will be my first weekend coming up in a couple months that I've actually been home!

To recap, last weekend I visited  electropaw and enjoyed the beach, had a great time and ended up actually winning some cash at one of the casinos!

Then right after flying home, flew back out to the great northern (read balls cold) US to visit some family for the holidays.

After flying home for that and getting back late due to flight delays, had to work this weekend, the next morning.

So been busy, wish I could've posted something sooner, but just been non-stop go!

I also broke my fursuit's flight virginity! So my anxiety about flying with my fursuit in checked luggage is somewhat relieved now, a big thanks to  electropaw for the advice on flying with a fursuit and encouraging me to try it! :)

So the plan for the new year? Well, FWA, MFM, and MFF are a go, and to keep with my promise made a couple journals ago (and armed with a new skymiles credit card), I hope to plan more little travel trips to fuzzies!

I also got a new fursuit head from  Kodipup which is AWESOME. You all should check out his stuff!

Hanging out with all the cool people at MFF had me thinking recently.

I have been so focused (more so majorly distracted) and driven (more so severely stressed out) to get my doctorate and job, but now that I have them, it is time for a new wolf to surface.

One that is much more focused on furry, my furry friends, and investing myself and new found money into such.

One that revisits his love for music and traveling.

One that is just more involved in the furry community.

It is time to talk to people I haven't talked to in way too long, to more so invest myself in those wonderful friendships. I have way too many people on my messengers who, because of my previous priorities, I have forgotten who they are, and the passion they have; and for that I apologize.

I have also pondered as I get MrWolf suit v2.0 in the works, should I go with another name for people to know me by? I know the name MrWolf is so simple, but in a way it is un-uniquely unique. I have only ran into 1 or 2 other "MrWolf"s in my years in furry, both of them not even from the US.

If I were to change my name, or rather, create another name, I would have no idea what it would be either, I'd want something that's catchy, badass, and something like rolls off the tongue better and less "proper" than MrWolf.

Wow, been a fun con, it's sad it is almost to it's end now, but got to meet some new people.

Of course, didn't get to meet up with everyone I wanted to, but that's how it always goes I guess :)
