I'm not a big PC gamer, mostly because this computer is...well, old. I also generally don't like playing multiplayer games because I'm not the most *patient* person in the world and I can't stand little fuckboy 12 yr olds :P But I watched a vid by LazzyPurple that quite honestly wanted to make me play the game again. I still have my steam account somewhere.

And in other news, my best friend came back from Japan yesterday and we spent the whole evening watching TF2 vids (as indicated above). And the best part is that I showed him this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/27785596/ and he loved it, which is not what I expected.

I went to student orientation today and it was a bit...overwhelming. It's times like these where my Asperger's becomes very evident.
Luckily, I did get financial aid, which also increases the chances of me getting a student job. I also can get a bus pass so I don't have to walk 45 mins to the campus every day.

Now, this is all great, BUT there is something that was a bit irritating.
I don't know if I've indicated this before, but I am not a fan of this country, especially the military. And obviously, as a legal adult male, I was enrolled in selective service. Great, they're treating me as a legal male, fantastic. However, there is no way in Hell that I would ever survive in the military, Luckily, there was a list of scenarios that allowed me to be excluded from the draft. I was hoping that the reason I was officially exempted was because of disability, but no, I'm exempt because I'm transgender.
What's more, I found out that transwomen are NOT exempted from the draft. Which is pretty fucked up. I hate this idea of selective service, and I hate that it's still only men (or those who they DEEM men) who are required to do this. You either have everybody do it or nobody do it. Enough people join the military anyways. Smh

Edit: I was also hoping that community college was going to be me getting all my required courses out of the way, but I HAVE to decide on a major in order to receive financial aid

I can't believe this, but after all these years of my friends begging me to get this game (and me not getting it mostly because of money and because half of them want me to get it on PC and half want me to get it on console) I want it now SOLELY because of Junkrat and Roadhog. Fuck

It's difficult for me to pick favorites out of anything, but I think I have a more-or-less definite answer for this one.
I'm 100% the "Everything but country" guy, so I listen to a large variety. My favorite bands would have to be SOAD, Tool, and Caravan Palace. So there you have metal and electric swing. I love EDM and Trap music because I like dancing, and I do genuinely like a lot of rap and pop music.

Well, "new." How Wacom suddenly ran out of new Intuos products is beyond me, but I had to order a refurbished one from amazon.

I just got the new pen in the mail and it's so much smoother, yes, and the pressure sensors are more in tune...
But it didn't solve the fucking issue. It's the goddamn tablet! I just spent 30 bucks on a new pen only to discover it's not tHE ISSUE ASDFGHJKL
And I can't just get a replacement tablet, because it comes wITh a pen!

SO, the hiatus fucking goes on. While I can afford a new tablet, I'm just really tired of this going on. I don't want to contact Wacom itself because it's a godawful company. but there's literally no other manufacturer that I know of.

Should be here by Thursday! Then it's right back to drawing!!

I think I found the issue for my computer problems, and this time it might be the pen itself. The tip is considerably worn down, but it's been that way for a while. So, my main theory is that the pen's ability to form different lines based on pressure has been pretty much shot. which would explain why all the lines in SAI, despite being smooth (the lack of smoothness usually is the whole "tablet driver not found" deal which I know how to fix) don't have a lot of variance in size based on how hard I hold the pen down.

Now, the next issue is how the fuck to fix this, since this is hardware, which I am NOT good with. I either have to order new pen tips or a whole new pen, but I don't know how to make it work with the current tablet. And I honestly don't want to contact customer support because...wacom...but I might need to.

Finally, I passed all my classes and took all my tests. This will be the first summer in four years that I have to myself (Until I get a job)

However, I'm still having computer issues, but I'm not sure it's my tablet or SAI, although we all know that both Wacom and SAI are not the easiest products to work with. So, what I've noticed is that when I open up my browser, the right click on my stylus won't work, but regular clicking does, and it will function normally on my screen. When I open SAI, it's not choppy like the whole "Tablet driver is missing" issue, BUT it does seem to have more or less of a lag. It moves smoothly like it should, but there's still the residual lines from the lag. Interestingly, sometimes the screen will freeze when I try to access a different site with my stylus OR the keys, so I have to delete that tab and open a new one just to get to a different site. Sometimes, it won't work at all, acting like I'm in a different program or window until I click a few times.

Now, this computer is pretty old, It's a Windows 7 I've had it for the past four or five years and but it's always kind of run relatively shit, but I don't think it's quite dead yet. I can still run minecraft with no issues whatsoever.
And I don't really want to transfer my tablet and SAI and all my other software to my Lenovo, mostly because I want to keep it as a clean work computer (And it's a Windows 10).

So, I very much enjoy marvel movies. I was never a big fan of them as a kid, but my damn best friend got me into them and I've watched every single one with him in the past year. Yesterday we saw Infinity War, and...
Well, I have VERY mixed feelings. It was, holistically, a fantastic movie, as most marvel movies are. Plenty of action, plenty of great story, pretty funny, and it also provided all the characters coming together and finally meeting like we were all waiting for.
Now, the ending is where everybody is upset about, and for good reason. I, personally, left the theater feeling shocked, confused, and kind of offended.

Here's the thing. From a cinematic and literary viewpoint, the ending was fucking genius.

This is pretty fucked up, but I was kind of hoping for a bad ending, since most movies end with goodness and righteousness prevailing. Some sacrifices are made, some people die, but things generally turn out okay. Now, if I were the director, I would've probably ended the movie immediately after Thanos wins, and all the characters are standing around just frozen and shock at what just happened. Kind of like the ending of Godfather II, where there's just a slow, well executed zoom in and no other explanation, providing the viewer with the agony of imagining the following events.
However, the actual ending to Infinity War, as insulting as it was, was just so perfect in that it was so insulting. It was just so harsh, so blunt, and so sudden, that it created this sense of complete hopelessness. The characters that survived weren't crying or screaming in agony, they were just watching everything in shocked horror. And we literally could do nothing but sit there and just watch these deaths, which were so sudden and brutal that the entirety was more impactful than any long, drawn-out, agonizing death I have ever seen.

My friend theorized that this could all be fixed by the implementation of an alternate timeline or even going back in time, since those are apparently canonical in the comics. However, I absolutely hate this idea, and part of me wants to leave the dead characters dead, and let the alive characters somehow solve everything, but in a way that still leaves everyone who is dead still dead. Maybe I'm just a sadistic bastard, but I don't want a series as dark as this to end with sunshine and rainbows.

My tablet is still being a cunt and to be perfectly honest I haven't had the energy or patience to really sit down and fix it. I have three more days of vigorous testing starting tomorrow, plus what I need to make up because of how sick I got on Wednesday and subsequently missed two tests. But I'm less stuffy today, going to relax, get makeup work done and going to see Infinity War in a few hours.

But I have a totally unrelated question, just out of curiosity and to stay somewhat active. What do y'all do for a living, what's your dream job, or what are you studying for?
Now, I'll be officially enrolled in college next fall, and I always knew that my major is going to be oriented around English, Linguistics, Sociology, or Psychology. I adore all four, but I haven't been (Still not super) sure about what exactly I wanted to do with any of those four fields. Not to mention, I also really like entomology and biology. However, one overarching field I have always been enamored with is forensics, which obviously also encompasses forensic entomology and psychology. Over the weekend I was dying in bed watching Forensic Files and I discovered a case in which forensic linguistics was used, which was pretty exciting to learn about.
I'm still not exactly sure what I'm going to go into career wise, but I feel like it will probably orient around the forensic field.

As for what I'm doing now, I'm a bit inhibited when it comes to getting a (real) job because I'm not quite mentally capable of working in a fast food place or anything very high-paced, nor can do I have a car to even reach a possible job site. I know my college offers student jobs, and the one I REALLY want is to work in the library, which also happens to be my childhood library. Librarian is a pretty ideal occupation for me, and I wouldn't mind being a librarian full-time if I don't go into forensics.

I was very confused when I received a letter saying that I had won an academic award. (It's not like I get bad grades but, like, math) It turns out I was awarded the Steeplechase award for overcoming extreme obstacles. It's true woop woop

I'm also sick as fuck, again. Woop woop

So my Wacom decided to stop working yesterday, and I tried everything, plug and replugged, redownloaded the tablet driver and restarted, and then it finally worked when I went through services.exe and restarted it that way.

BUT...

I'm not sure how to explain, but the tablet driver is *there* but its...choppy? Like, there's a lag when I put the pen down and it's all f'd up.

I obviously haven't been super active, but it might be like that still for a little while more. I came home to news today that literally had me crying and screaming. The issue has been resolved (I hope...) but because of this I'm going to have to work extra hard for a solid thirteen days.

As the end of the academic year draws nearer, I am really getting pretty drained and losing literally all my motivation to do anything DX It's almost over but I can't focus on shit

But yes! I marched for two hours through Dublin yesterday in the parade. And the day before I marched in Kilkenny, which was the most darling little town. Chances are you might've seen us if you were watching Irish TV. They joked about us being resilient to the cold coming from Colorado, because it was cold as shit, but in Colorado, it would've been shorts weather because we don't have this thing called H U M I D I T Y
And on the coldest St. Patrick's day on record, we won Best Overall Band!! I'll talk more about the past few days later on.
