I've really been fart-arsing about with this too long - I will no longer be uploading images to this gallery. Reality is, I don't see the point. My drive to create furry art has fizzled out and I just don't really care too much anymore. I have an art tumblr, but it's all ponies so I doubt you'd care. I will be leaving my gallery up - I mean, some of this crap still gets comments/faves so I see no reason to take it down.
This isn't just about FurAffinity - for the last year I have been drifting away from furries. No one's fault, I just have less interest in this fandom.

I suppose, due to my interest in anthro art, I'm still a furry... I just don't want to be a fanatic and I don't want the drama. If you know somepony who would like a picture let me know in the Disqus comments on the Tumblr post (linked above). If you send it to my ask, it will be ignored. Tell me why you think this person should be chosen. Do they do charity work? Do they always make you smile? Do they not have any art of their character and really want some? Please do not nominate yourself. The ponies don’t have to be OCs - it could be a canon character that someone roleplays here on tumblr.
I will choose three ponies to draw.
I’d prefer if you had some form of visual reference of the person - even if it’s just a Pony Creator image. The person you nominate must have a tumblr, so I can advise them of the gift art.

Regarding icons.
Posted 13 years agoAs a general rule, if your avatar here on FA is a close-up of your character's groin/backside I am going to find it very difficult to take you seriously. I know, it's a lousy way to judge someone's opinion on quantum mechanics but it just feels, to me, like you're standing there wagging your bits at me while we chat.
Not to say we should all have photographic icons depicting our favourite Nobel prize winners or astrophysicists (there aren't enough Carl Sagan icons for us all) but to some degree, what you put forth in an avatar is going to colour how I picture you while talking online. Because I can't see you. Naturally, this means you're free to imagine me as a 20cm tall maniacally-laughing cartoon owl and, in turn, not take me very seriously... But I don't often try to be taken seriously, so I'm totally okay with that. That said, you should all read this journal with this image in mind :}
Oh, and please fall over yourselves admiring my new icon - airu did a kickin' job.

Uploading a bunch of sirukie/Bonnie art... why? Because I ran out of sketchbooks and was using one of Sirukie's... so I kinda drew him a lot in that book xD I do have a few Muchi sketches to upload later, just have to find that sketchbook.
No the tf/tg beam thingies aren't permanent. Muchi is still an owl and Bonnie's still female. Just something I've been messing around with lately for fun. Started out when I drew Ukie as female because male anatomy is haaaaard to draw D:
Anyway, just a short update. Back to drawing.

Well, that's not entirely true. I've been drawing plenty, but it's all personal art of an adult nature and I really don't care to share that kind of thing with strangers. Call me a prude.
This journal prolly won't last as I feel the last one is sorta handy on my main profile, just a little update.
I've been sort of emotional the last few months. Had a split with my partner and started seeing another lovely gent :} Not gonna go into that. Dun wanna ramble.
I haven't been online much... well not on my laptop. I've been out a lot but I have a new Samsung Galaxy s2 (shiny) and have been using that to communicate. Pimped it out with PONIES.
Suppose one thing worth mentioning is development of my characters. Muchi is still very much ME me. Muchi is my face to furries... but Muchi is not my adult side. She never will be. Muchi is a G-rated character... but Bonnie has become my outlet for more mature thoughts and feelings. She's becoming like a secondary fursona, which is a little odd. Like my personality is caught between the tea-drinking, scarf-wearing, owl-scowling public face of Muchi but in more private, intimate and adult moments I'm more like Bonnie. Basically this means nothing to you xD As far as you're all concerned, I am Muchi only. It's just an interesting development for me personally.
Tax return came back and it all went on boring responsible things. The only 'fun' items were new toys for Luen. He seemed pleased though: http://yfrog.com/z/megclcj
Anyway, hope you've all been well and thank you very much to all the new watchers and for all the new faves. I've been pretty dead but it's lovely to see people still drop by even when I'm away :}

Posted 14 years agoI'm having trouble finding artists who can draw clean toony feral birds. Seems all the feral artists I find draw only mammals, or only porn... :c
There's a lot of people willing to do feral or quad felines/canines/vulpines. I figured if you watch me, maybe you watch others who do toony bird characters...
Worth a shot. Just I'm not too interested in anthros. My character's not anthro and my boyfriend's character is a wolfy smoke monster.

Pretty much decided at this point that anthro Muchi is sort of diluting the character - the anthro version was more for convenience when interacting with other anthros and she didn't really contribute much. Problem is, I still quite like her, I just don't think she's Muchi.
I can either consider anthro Muchi as a non-canon version or just try to phase her out entirely. It occurs to me that, seeing as I like drawing her (specifically the body type) it would be a shame to stop :C And it feels cheap to try and change her slightly to make a new character.
Ugh.
The character Muchi should just be considered as the feral form, is what I suppose I'm getting at. Not that I roleplay or anything, but yeah. That's what she is.

Anyway - you may or may not have noticed I've been really dead when it comes to uploading here. I am really sorry to people who are or were waiting for the next commission batch. As an effort to try and kick-start my drive for anthro art, I'd really appreciate if some of you could suggest art styles I might like to try to get me back into drawing.
Styles can be of famous artists or people here on FA - not really too fussed. Just bear in mind I've limited supplies and drawing talent xD Don't say renaissance/oils lol.
If I 'style-bite' I will be sure to post credit to the original artist on anything I may upload (if I upload). I am planning on doing this on varied anthro characters.
Do not suggest anime as a style. Not really interested.
It may be worth noting that this is simply an exercise to get back into the swing of things. I don't want to offend anyone, and if I copy your style and you're unhappy with that PLEASE let me know and I'll take it down.

As you may have noticed, I'm suffering a little art block :| To try and loosen up, I'm drawing generic characters and giving them goofy expressions. Not many are worth posting so I'm not.
Also trying to drop the .:strange frame thing:. I've been doing with my picture titles. Not sure why I started doing it. Seems a little immature now I look at my gallery, a wall of silly flourishes greeting me. If you spot me doing it in future pictures, please feel free to pull me up on it :}
For those not already aware of it, there is a delightfully silly little tumblr page called Fuck Yeah Art Newbie Owl. It's a fun jab at beginners' artists mistakes in a humorous and not-too-offensive manner. It's a lot of fun to read, especially when you see one and go, "DRAT I do that!"
I'm sorry to people who have been waiting for the next batch of commission slots, but I really would rather make you wait than sell you a product I wouldn't blow my nose on. When I'm back into the swing of things, I'll let you know :}

$5 Character commissions
Posted 14 years agoTen slots for cheap character sketch commissions (no colour). It's $5 a character unless the character is terribly complicated, in which case it may be a little more. It's G-rated only, and because the sketches are cheap I won't be doing anything complicated. You give me the character and maybe an emotion and I'll work out what I think will work.
If you want just a pokemon (non-anthro) it's $4 - but goes up to $5 if you want accessories or a difficult species (like Giratina).

Also, playing Pokemon Blue again. I started at 4am, it's now 7am and I have four badges and a level 52 pidgeot named Talon. Because my pidgeots are always named Talon.
Might try to draw some Pokécrap later, if I feel like it. But it's my birthday so I might just be lazy xD
