I can't speak for others, but where I am in Florida it was just brushed by the storm. Even as I type this my area is there is still reminants of outer bands of the storm. I have a few limbs down, nothing major, they are all small. No major damage to my home.

For my other fellow Florida furs, hold on and I hope you make it.

I just want to wish any of my fellow Florida furs who are in the uncertain path of the soon to be hurricane Idalia to be vigilant and safe.

Myself I am taking my Monday off to clean up around the yard, bringing in my flag, lawn furniture and garbage bins. I also topped off the gas in my Jeep and got water and no perishable foods to try and survive on in case.

The storm unfortunately is suppose to make landfall in Florida late Tuesday night early Wednesday morning. I hate evening hurricanes >.< I hope like most this turns out to be a minor storm just brushing us here in Hernando County. Again to all my fellow Florida furs stay safe and hope to see you on the other side!

Fortunately, where I live in Florida was only tropical storm type winds. I had several hours of wind gusts and light rain. No damage to my property other than a bunch of small dead branches out of the trees in my yard.

I was lucky, to all those affected I hope you have a speedy recovery.

Its about 3 p.m. on Wednesday as I wait for more of an impact from Hurricane Ian. I guess the brunt should start around 5 p.m. and continue until tomorrow sometime. I am doing well and I am safe for now and just watching the weather.

It's one week till my birthday, July 25th.

So, Hurrican Irma is well to the north of me.

I pulled though just fine, not even a scratch, best part other than lack of power my home also survived. I do have a bit of yard cleaning to take care of in the future, a tree to cut down that fell into my yard from a vacant lot next door. However the house is good.

Thank you to all the well wishers and those that took the time to reply to my journals and to text me however they could, be it Discord, Telegram or just SMS.

I hope all the other Florida furs here on FA in it's path made it though just as well as I did.

Good news is I am not so scared anymore. I went to stay with my friends mom at her cousins house. Good to be with others and in a house with steel shutters.

6;30 am

I am up, can't sleep. I am too scared to sleep to be honest. Most of my friends who grew up here are all calm, I don't understand how they can be so relaxed. I don't think this area has had a major hurricane in decades.

Anyway I am still well for now don't know what else to say.

I am sitting home, waiting and hoping all the preparations I have done will be enough. I was more optimistic but waking up Saturday I learned I am pretty much in Irma's sites. Good news, where I live is fairly high so I am not concerned about flooding so much, that does not mean it can't happen just I am not as concerned at this time.

The shit is suppose to hit the fan Sunday morning, the storm is not suppose to be near me till Sunday evening maybe even early Monday morning. I hope it goes by quickly and weakens significantly before it gets to me.

I will do my best to keep you informed and to let you know as soon as possible that I am okay.
