"Little Me" dolls T.o.S. and F.A.Q.
Posted 11 years ago+ Muddle Designs reserves the right to reuse pattern pieces for other commissions of the same species. While each doll is unique, pattern pieces will be reused.
+ If there is a problem/break with the doll within the first twelve (12) months of receiving, all repairs will be free*.
+ If there is a problem/break with the doll after the first twelve (12) months of receiving, repairs are subject to a fee.
+ If there is evidence of a doll being tampered with for "adult purposes" any and all repairs are voided. I will not work on adult modified dolls.
+I do not make adult use dolls. Period.
+ Modification to doll joints, body, head, etc., away from the original design will void all warranty. However, small repairs (ex: quickly stitching a tear while at a convention) will not void.
+ First update on dolls will take at least a week (seven [7] days) from first payment. Following updates will be subject to commission cue.
+ Updates happen at:
+ Payment is due in three stages. A $100 non-refundable down payment (for materials), a second $100 paid upon approval of sketches and/or pattern pieces. And final payment plus shipping costs once doll is finished.
+ Dolls will NOT be shipped out unless both payment, and shipping costs, are completely paid.
+ Dolls will be shipped out withing 2-3 business days after last payment is confirmed.
+ All payments are made through Paypal. If this is not feasible for you, please contact me to work something out.
+ Dolls can be collected in person at conventions and/or local, if I am going to these conventions. Please ask if you are interested.

Posted 15 years agoI am opening for ONE HUGE commission spot. The spot will cost about $300, depending on if the item can be ordered BEFORE the end of December, though the end of November would be preferred.
The purchase of one $260 doll before the end of December will get about $400 worth of items from me. I'm offering a commission in exchange for the doll.
Here's how it works. I'm offering a choice of:
1) A crochet set of tail, hand paws, and fuzzy ear hat along with a badge of the character. Pay separate shipping for one box of items, probably just $7 depending on the tail.
-OR-
2) An 8.5x11 sketchbook, 80 pages, drawing on both front AND back of each page, hard backed, with 15 full inked and colored pages with background. An additional $5-$8 will be needed for purchase of the book itself, shipping free. Pages are sealed so they cannot smudge.
Here's what you do. If you are interested in participating in this, send me a note on my FA account. We'll discuss time frames, how to purchase the doll, and which option you want. You buy the doll which will be shipped to me, and I'll create your item, which will be shipped to you.

-When requesting a tail, hat, or other item, please include what species, and a reference image of your character if possible. Image should have a front and side view, back can be useful as well.
-For items OVER $30 in the continental US. A non-refundable payment of at least $25 is required before I start. The rest of the payment is not required until you have the image of your final product. However, the full payment is a must before your item is shipped to you.

-Items needed in under a moth (four [4] weeks) are subject to a “rush” fee of $30. Fee may be waved depending on amount of people in the queue before you.
-Items such as footpaws require you to provide me with a duck tape dummy of both of your feet.
-Items such as hand paws or gloves require you to trace your hand “turkey style”(fingers spread) onto a piece of paper, cardstock, or card board, and mail it to me for proper size.
-Full payment of item must be received before item is in the mail to you. You will receive pictures of your item before final payment is required.
-Payments will be accepted in paypal ONLY.
-PLEASE give me a list of ANY and ALL allergies. This is for your own safety when I am creating your items.

Califur and an update!
Posted 15 years agoOh my! I’ve been so busy, I haven’t been keeping this account updated! That’s changing. Let’s see, what’s Muddle Designs been up to?
Well, FC was a blast! Schre was a hit, and he’s undergone a few edits since then. Our next con is coming up this weekend! Just a few more days until CaliFur! I’m going, and I can’t wait. It’ll be fun to see the new suits, and hopefully be in a new one myself.
Speaking of new suits. I’ve been hard at work on a new type of suit. It’s made out of yarn. All of it, except for the eyes, is yarn. That means the feet, the paw gloves, the tail, and the body, are all made out of yarn. So far, it’s coming along great! It’s a long project, but the end result looks pretty good, actually. I’m hoping to have him done by Friday so I can wear him at the con and see how well he holds up, test drive him, before I start offering them for sale.
I also have a few heads that need to be posted up. A mouse, a cat, and a roo. Expect images of them soon.
I’m also looking into making other objects. I offer beach mesh bags, and soon will offer jewelry!
There is going to be a major update coming to the Muddle Designs site in July. We’re going to get a new domain name, a link will be provided here when that happens. We’ll also be having a new Terms of Service, and will be offering a mailing list for those that are interested in it! Our prices will also be adjusted on some items. Cross your fingers, our new layout will be awesome! It’s there to help you Keep an Eye on Muddle! See you at CF!

Posted 15 years agoLadies, gentlemen, and everyone that follows Muddle Designs, I’m proud to announce to you that I’ll be opening for full-suit commissions starting Friday April thirtieth.
I will be uploading pictures of my one-of-a-kind Crochet Suits.
These are full fursuits that are made 90% out of yarn. And believe it or not, they look JUST LIKE FAUX FUR! Not only do they look like faux fur (which other suits are made out of) but they are very breathable, 98% washable in a normal washer and dryer set with normal detergent, highly durable, and extremely customizable.
Crochet Suits will start at $500, ranging all the way up to $700. Partials will vary, depending on amount of items. Heads start at $100.
Sadly, the suits take a LONG time to make. Anywhere from a month to two months due to the construction process.
More prices and information will be posted on Firday, and pictures will be posted later this week (before or on Friday.)

First, let me apologize to those that are expecting hats or heads from me. I've... had a bit of a rough week, and it's held me back from doing a few things. The matter is under some control, so expect images and updates constantly this next week. Starting tonight if I get a chance to grab Sarah's camera.
Second, I know I haven't updated my website lately. I'll get on that this week as well.
For those of you interested, this is my currant cue-line.

Posted 15 years agoMuddle Designs is a new fursuit company. We are opening up for three (3) head slots. Heads are for building our portfolio and a good reputation, and are at material cost ONLY. There is no extra money for labor or profit. Prices are rounded up or down to create clear numbers for the customer. Heads start at $65.
Two (2) color, mesh, static jaw heads. Free shipping within the continental United States. Any eye style except for taxidermy/glass eyes. I am sorry, but no moving jaws are available at this time.
Cost: $65:
$20 Medium/long pile fur.
$5 Mesh/glue/thread.
$5 Buckram/other eye materials.
$10 Foam for ears, cheeks, and other shaping.
$10 Fan, battery, battery holder, and wire.
$5 Fleece for ears and/or nose.
$10 Fasteners of your choice, lips, and other items such as whiskers.
Required: $15 down payment. Full payment due on approval of shape of head, eyes, and ears. At least one (1) CLEAR reference sheet, including a front and side view of character's head.
All fur is double-stitched, high-temperature hot-glue reinforced seams, then glued into place on the head. All fleece is anti-pill, and pre-washed. Fur is high-quality medium to long pile, pre-washed, and comes brushed and shaved. Unless you are noted, all fur is same type, and very soft. Your approval of fur color(s) is required before purchase of fur. Fan is placed in nose, with air blowing OUT of the mask; the wire leads down the neck to you, with wire long enough to reach to a pocket with some slack. A 9volt battery is included with the head. There is a small hole in the corner of the mouth hidden by the lips of the mask for straw access. Head photos and video [b[require[/b] approval by you before shipping.
Five work in progress updates guaranteed (separate from fur-color approval), others provided on request.
1. Mesh shape, no foam (possible no ears, depending on species).
2. Mesh with eyes and foam.
3. Mesh with eyes, foam, first layer of fur/fleece.
4. Mesh with eyes, foam, first layer of fur/fleece, last layer of fur/nose/neck
5. Mesh with eyes, foam, first layer of fur/fleece, last layer of fur/nose/neck, and video of use. (Will be worn by me if head size is 22 inches or more. If less, it will be on a dummy head or on my hand.)
Hair on a head is fur, unless otherwise requested. If hair is a third color, price will change.
Eyes: all styles except for glass or plastic "taxidermy" available. Eyes can be plastic if specified. If not, they will be fully foam/buckram. Semi-realistic follow-me eyes are in the head example.
$65 is a base price for two fur colors. More fur colors will change the price. As well as the addition of horns or extra-large ears (example: fennec fox.) Price for horns and ears are not only for materials, but a slight shipping cost to you due to change in box size and weight. Details on this will be provided with reference sheet.
Please inform me of ALL allergy/breathing/vision concerns you may have. Heads are back and bottom loading. Other head bases on request with price change, please inquire for details of foam/helmet based heads. Mesh has fleece lining on bridge of nose, forehead, and ears, but is NOT fully lined.

Note: There is no "mouse" nose on this head! This is due to a character and artist style decision. He also has no whiskers due to personality decision. Vision is excellent, the fan very helpful, and no fasteners on this head. Fasteners such as snaps and zippers are optional, but HIGHLY recommended.

Required: $15 down payment. Full payment due on approval of shape of head, eyes, and ears. At least one (1) CLEAR reference sheet, including a front and side view of character's head.
All fur is double-stitched, high-temperature hot-glue reinforced seams, then glued into place on the head. All fleece is anti-pill, and pre-washed. Fur is high-quality medium to long pile, pre-washed, and comes brushed and shaved. Unless you are noted, all fur is same type, and very soft. Your approval of fur color(s) is required before purchase of fur. Fan is placed in nose, with air blowing OUT of the mask; the wire leads down the neck to you, with wire long enough to reach to a pocket with some slack. A 9volt battery is included with the head. There is a small hole in the corner of the mouth hidden by the lips of the mask for straw access. Head photos and video [b[require[/b] approval by you before shipping.
Five work in progress updates guaranteed (separate from fur-color approval), others provided on request.
1. Mesh shape, no foam (possible no ears, depending on species).

3. Mesh with eyes, foam, first layer of fur/fleece.
4. Mesh with eyes, foam, first layer of fur/fleece, last layer of fur/nose/neck
5. Mesh with eyes, foam, first layer of fur/fleece, last layer of fur/nose/neck, and video of use. (Will be worn by me if head size is 22 inches or more. If less, it will be on a dummy head or on my hand.)
Hair on a head is fur, unless otherwise requested. If hair is a third color, price will change.
Eyes: all styles except for glass or plastic "taxidermy" available. Eyes can be plastic if specified. If not, they will be fully foam/buckram. Semi-realistic follow-me eyes are in the head example.
$65 is a base price for two fur colors. More fur colors will change the price. As well as the addition of horns or extra-large ears (example: fennec fox.) Price for horns and ears are not only for materials, but a slight shipping cost to you due to change in box size and weight. Details on this will be provided with reference sheet.
Please inform me of ALL allergy/breathing/vision concerns you may have. Heads are back and bottom loading. Other head bases on request with price change, please inquire for details of foam/helmet based heads. Mesh has fleece lining on bridge of nose, forehead, and ears, but is NOT fully lined.

Note: There is no "mouse" nose on this head! This is due to a character and artist style decision. He also has no whiskers due to personality decision. Vision is excellent, the fan very helpful, and no fasteners on this head. Fasteners such as snaps and zippers are optional, but HIGHLY recommended.

Posted 15 years agoHello all! I'm going to start taking mesh head commission starting next week. I'll take three at a time. They are planning to be $55-$60 STARTING for 2 color static jaw mesh base. Any species. Why am I posting this now if I don't intend to start taking them now?
$55 is the minimum I can charge. Why? Because after doing some math, that's not even covering all the material costs. For a new fursuit maker, is this considered too much to pay? Or should I charge a bit more? Keep in mind that I offer free shipping for continental United States. Does this price sound right for someone as new as I am to the fursuit selling?

FC plans!
Posted 15 years agoGuess what all? Muddle Designs will be at FC this year! No, we won't have our own booth, and we won't be selling. We will, however, try to preform in the Masquerade or the Furry Night Live! Um, not sure what we're going to be doing, maybe playing an instrument. Who knows?! Come see and support Muddle at the con!
