Lately people have been leaving angry and disappointing messages. It's okay, I know how to block people and delete messages. That's not the point.

However, almost all of them block me before I can even respond the few times i bother to try. I honestly prefer a friendly discussion with people with whom I disagree, but in a fandom where people go to find refuge in a painful world a loud portion want to yell, find reasons to point fingers, be offended, throw insults, and demonize instead of least try to comprehend the power in kind words.

Many of you still understand that, and I appreciate you. Maybe one day we'll be able to discuss deep beliefs openly with blind compassion and empathy. Until then I will be solving isues by playing DOOM Dark Ages!

Recently, i was at home, working on some paperwork on the job. I dropped what I was doing when I heard yelling and screaming outside. There were two people, a man and a woman, trying to pull another woman out of her car against her will. I yelled at them to take their hands off, but of course they didn't. The victim yelled at me to call the cops, so that's exactly what I did.

However, I was not going to wait around, which leads us to the KLICK KLACK...

I go inside, load up my 12ga shotty with some buckshot and a slug, stepped on my front porch, gave my boom stick a KLICK KLACK and told the perps to GTFO ASAP. The dude was yelling at his gal pay to get in the car, but she wanted to keep going even though all she could do was bang on the window of the car they were trying to get into. I kept yelling at them, flinging insults and doing everything i could as a man with a loaded shotty to distract and overwhelm the guy. All throughout I was thinking to myself "please just leave, don't make me use this...". I am so happy still don't know what an open stomach smells like on a rainy day.

They did leave eventually. After allowing my adrenalin to subside, and unloading my firearm, I went to the leasing office of my apartment complex to check and make sure everyone was alright. They all thanked me for my intervention and assured me the perps were both evicted and banned from setting foot on the premises. The cops did not even ask to speak woth me, they knew I did good.

So, why am I telling you this?

It's partially because I am still processing the event, but mostly because I want to encourage anyone who watches me on here to both arm and educate yourselves on the laws of your land. If it can happen to me, then it can happen to you. Hopefully you never need to use what you have, but should that time come you deserve a chance, to not be helpless to stop a bad thing from happening. If not a firearm then a knife, pepper spray, brass knuckles, a wool sock full of batteries...

Well that's pretty much it right there in the title. I graduated college earlier this month and soon after went for a job interview back in my home town of Fort Wort, TX. I got the job, but in order to earn the position (which is going to be a life insurance salesman) I needed to pass a state exam, which is exactly what I just did. Dear god, that thing was beyond stressful. Side note, it's so lame that the first thing I did after graduating is take an exam =T

So, yeah, I'll be moving back to Fort Worth in a little over a week. So excited to be back with family <3

What the crap is going on with this movement that any body type or level of hygiene is as good as the next? You shouldn't feel like less of a person for having acne but that doesn't mean you should stop washing your face or using sun protection. You shouldn't hate yourself for being fat or hate others for being fat, but if you are then eat less and be more physically active!

Like, realizing that you're flawed and having to accept that in order to become a better person and it's never ending... just... so exhausting sometimes. We may find it so easy to point them out in others but when having to hold a mirror to ourselves. A big part of that I find is accepting our malevolence. Not embracing it, simply understanding it. Why fear what you don't understand? Why fear yourself?

In light of what has been happening with me and my situation of the past week or so, I feel that I will stop responding to messages as much as I usually do. That said I have noticed that my response time has been steadily increasing, but I fear that it will continue to do so because I just simply have so much on my plate right now between classes and... well everything outside of classes *head desk*

just wanted to post a journal cuz i haven't in a very long time. I guess I just don't really like talking about my personal life in a journal submission for a furry website. I do enjoy talking with people, a lot, since i am going into psychology it makes that all the more enjoyable i guess. That said, what do you guys like to post about on FA in journals that don't include venting, announcing a stream, that commissions are open, or that you're selling something? I'm not saying that's those are the only things I see on FA, but it's the type of journals that I typically don't care for. If you have a problem and want me to give my two cents then I will but I get so many journals in my announcements that I choose not to really keep up and just delete them. I hope none see that as being heartless or insensitive, cuz if I know you well enough and you want someone to talk to then hey, i'm all for that (half the time even if i hardly know you at all).

I guess right now I'm simply writing whatever comes to my mind at the moment. Hehe, maybe that makes the term "journal" more appropriate. Now since it is an online journal I accept people should post whatever they want as long as it's not personal information of other people, but that simply isn't my style.

This is one of the best movies I have seen in a very long time. Character development is amazing and very believable, and it keeps you guessing the entire story.

I think my biggest reason for enjoying this movie is that the main character has Autism and it is a character quality that is essentially utilized as his biggest strength. This rings out for me in particular because I have Asperger's, which for those of you who may not know is a... "milder" form of Autism (for lack of a better word). It's a real bitch to deal with sometimes but this movie left me walking out of the theater feeling a little less impaired by my condition and more empowered by it.

So, for those of you who are affected by Autism or Asperger's, I more directly recommend to you to see this movie. If you don't have either of those conditions, then I still think you should give this movie a shot simply because it is a damn good piece of cinematic art.

Hey everyone, I'm taking Russian 1 this semester and so far it hasn't been overly challenging. However, it would help me immensely if one of you could help me. If any of you know russian, or at least know someone who does, could you come forward or point me in the right direction to find someone who can help keep my understanding of the language sharp? =3

Adjusting to a new home is much harder than I thought it would be. I am even starting to dream about my family and celebrating holidays with them. I miss them so much and my dogs and my old job and my friends. Do understand that I am in good company. My new roomie has been great company, very helpful and an extremely good cook! I do have friends and family in San Antonio, too... but it's hard.

This is going to take some serious getting used to, so please be patient with me. I have no intention in disappearing by any means. I simply wanted to inform you guys on where I stand right now.

Wow, i must say this past week has been the best time I've had in a LONG time. Had a bunch of old time friends over for our yearly gathering: with the newbies for this year and We ate lots of food, especially Mabo but i'm sure he'd agree XD just another big huge softie to add to a list of people i like. Mobius was quite nervous at the start but quickly found that groove and did a great job adjusting. Black Dynomite was a big theme to the entire week cuz... well if you watched the movie and the whole first season then you'll understand, if not then you need to fix that cuz we could NOT stop laughing. We gamed a good bit, i took the group to some awesome spots around town where half of us played some pokemon go WOO!

Really i could go on and on and on and on and on about so much stuff but i think the message that it was a wonderful time is what really matters. Thank you my friends for being there with me and for being so super awesome and such loving friends i see as a family. Yup, just got back to civilization yesterday and it feels so weird. It's like I just left on my trip a couple days ago lol. Anyways just wanted to let people know and that I am A-OKAY. I will be posting pictures of my trip in the near future after I get home. I'm still in Australia until the 28th and I intend to live it up as much as I can: gonna go for a camel ride on the beach, get me a croc leather belt, eat as much kangaroo, blue bones, mangrove jacks, sting ray and local Domioe's pizza... their pizza here is WAAAAAAAY better than back home. Same with McDonnald's... seriously America you're slacking in the global food franchise quality assurance =/

I can't tell you all how amazing it was, but let me try to list some of the things that I will be telling people about till the day I die: had to run away from wild bulls a couple times, was 3 feet from the world's most venomous snake at one point, climbed down a super steep escarpment, spent time with Aborigines Bardi tribe members, spear fished, my leg was accidentally lit on fire, canoed down rapids, ate live ants (so yummy)... swam under waterfalls that only a couple hundred people have been to, saw huge groups of flying foxes, a shark swam between my legs, killed and ate fresh octopus, saw signs of ancient aboriginal culture... so much

So yeah... I'm back =)
