Don't you hate it...
Posted 9 years agoWhen someone NEVER responds? I know, first world problems, but I find it irritating, like, REALLY irritating, and worse part is when they don't give you a reason for it. It's almost ALWAYS with the people whom have a bad disease or "depressed" under current emotion, it makes me panic on what's happened to them.

Theory for Undertale
Posted 10 years agoI know many people won't be very happy for this, but I am going to at least place it.
In Undertale you play as the human, or should I say, the last human. I know you're saying that what I'm saying is not true, but hear me out, what other humans do we see in the game other than Frisk and Chara? That's right, none, no other human appears in the game. Sure, it's underground, and all other humans are deceased or sparing/killing down there, but there is a little tag there, "for a long time", it's said multiple times that Frisk/Chara is the first human to be down there for a long time. This could lead us to know that either no human was foolish enough to go down there, or it could be a group of friends waiting for those who enter, or it could be a small family, but what I'm suggesting goes with the second one, and Frisk is the last friend. Let's go onto the endings, first, why are there no humans in the ending sequences, in the school scene, it's the monster kid going to school, and when Sans and Papyrus are driving, they should be dealing with traffic, but no, all scenes include monsters. While there is no evidence saying they died, we could presume they evacuated in fear of these beings, but they wouldn't be THAT fast, and if people ran so quickly, we should be seeing discarded objects and someone had to help build that school with knowledge of the tools necessary[and don't you say Alphys, because all she got from humans in terms of the idea of humans is from anime]. Yet there is a problem I see with Sans and Papyrus, they are all meant to be skeletons and thus must be person shaped, but no one notes on this, no one says these two LOOK human-shaped, so time must have passed so they forgot the general body shape of a skeleton, more than enough time for something to happen, and that the kids didn't leave a skeleton, I wonder why that is, unless everything dissolves if its soul is lost, eh, for the lucky few reading this, feel free to comment.

Patreon
Posted 10 years agoMy first journal, and I bet I'm going to get a lot of flack for this if ANYONE finds it.
Ahem,I am a usual viewer of art on this website, and lot of the people I like to view that have the best art say they are going to do art that suits my needs,a single bi guy, which honestly makes me happy, and then I learn that the art is patreon exclusive, which pisses me off,I'm not a guy who can afford to drop pennies.I know what you're saying "patreon is a website for giving artists money, and you should feel bad for arguing against the sight",and honestly,I think Patreon has a pure goal to get money from fans to the artists on the other side, which I think is great, who I am REALLY pointing out are the people that make their art I really want to see patreon exclusive,so you have to drop real money to see it.I WILL,however, excuse someone for doing this if they choose to release the art on their regular page at a later date, there will be people who want to see it sooner, sure, and willingly will drop dollars to see that art sooner, but it also appeals to those that don't have a lot of money to spend and want to see that art.The only artist I'm seeing doing this is RamTheDragon, which is honestly a very good thing.Imagine this,a game you were excited for comes out...as an exclusive for a console you do not and cannot put the money up to have, then imagine in another scenario that a game you were expecting to be released was going to be put on a different console,BUT,was going to be released on your console a few weeks or months down the line. This is like that example I just put, people will be willing to put down money for what they want earlier, but when you do this, making it EXCLUSIVE to something people have to pay for to be able to see, that just leaves people bitter, and think of it in a game of cards that require resources, you sink all of your resources into one card, and then someone destroys that card easily, that ends up losing you a lot of momentum, and it's the same with the art these people are posting exclusively to Patreon,it's hurting them,it's tiring the consumer,it's a lose/lose for everyone, because they put a lot of time and effort into a work on Patreon[which I remind you has no age barrier],and only the paying customers can see it,that means that work they put out is not reaching as large enough audience that it usually would, customers that are paying for it end up getting tired and no longer pay for it,leading to less views, and it loses them momentum for their art, people are not going to see it on the front page anytime soon if the viewers keep dropping from it.
