So, for those of you paying attention to my scraps, I recently had a bout of partial deafness, which has now been resolved. Hearing in stereo never felt so good as the moment my left ear was finally clear again. X3
However, now my scanner (or more likely the printer half of the device, because fuck you printer is broken/out of ink and therefore the scanner is obviously impossible to operate) is refusing to cooperate and so new sketches won't be able to be scanned until I can get a new one. Not hard, just not something I was really planning on doing anytime soon. Alas, the wonders of technology, always breaking down when you least expect it!
Update: New scanner is here! It's a little different than the old one, tho lol but it works just fine, and that's what counts. X3

The good news is I still have a collection of sketches I've already scanned that are waiting to be colored, so at least in the meantime I have something else I can work on... if I can tear myself away from my other projects for long enough to get any work done, anyway haha

Also, might as well take this opportunity to mention the game that has eaten the last few days of my life, because Rekindled Trails is just my cup of tea, apparently. cx
Love the environments, love the character designs, and just generally enjoy roaming around and collecting things... only to sell them for a huge profit so I can buy a new pair of shoes lmao


Anyway, I've nothing else news-related to share at this point in time, so I'll leave it at that. ;P

What would you like to see (more of) in my art? Like, what subjects would you want me to draw (more of)?
I've been scratching my head, trying to think of new things to draw, and I wanted to get some other opinions and ideas from folks around here. cx

In other news, as of writing, commissions are tentatively open again so if you wanted something specific from me, now would be a good time to ask~! <3

To those whom it concerns, my gallery now has a folder dedicated to my specialty art, so if you're here specifically for that stuff, now you don't have to sift through everything else in my gallery to find more of it. X3

Also, uh... I'm not dead _yet! lol
I've just been really busy lately, so art has taken a backseat while I sort out the important stuff.
Related to that, in case you never saw it, commissions are still closed while I figure out some things. But if you want anything in the future, you can always ask for a quote!
There have been some minor changes to my Will Draw and Won't Draw lists, tho; you can check the description under my Price Sheet for the updated lists, or--as always--you can ask me directly if you're unsure if I'll draw what you're after!

I've been rather well, myself, outside of the things I've been tackling irl, so there's that... CX

Well, it's a new year, I better make a journal... X3

So, I did get to see a dentist last year, using some of what I'd collected towards the goal--at time of writing, I'm ~24% of the way to my $2000 goal--and was able to fix a few of my teeth, and boy, what a difference that made. I can eat food without having to be ultra cautious about how I bite into it, which sounds like nothing... but when you(r depression) let things get really bad, eventually something's gonna break.
So, the good news is that I'm doing a bit better than I was before, at least in the short term. The bad news is, according to the dentist, there are some teeth that are dangerously close to needing a root canal (he didn't mention which ones or how many, tho, conveniently enough...) so I'm gonna need to try to get that sorted out ASAP.
On the bright side, he also told me that their office does offer the option of payment plans, meaning I can theoretically get my teeth all fixed up without needing to pay all of it up front, tho I still need to actually gather the necessary funds.

So if you or anyone you know can pitch in to help--even just $1--I'd really appreciate it! Every little bit helps~


On a somewhat related note, I've been thinking about it, and I think I might just do some YCH's after all. I've actually got one piece all ready to go, I just need to figure out how this thing actually works; I've never really looked into the whole process, so I don't know how people usually handle them haha
I'll also need to update my rules and ToS to make sure they include YCH-relevant information, too! But that shouldn't bee too difficult. cx

In the meantime, I'm still open for regular commissions, so if you guys want anything from me you can always go down that route~ I'm trying to be more flexible and offer more than just the one type of content so if you happen to like my style but want something other than that stuff, don't be afraid to ask! <3

I've been doing a lot of drawing this month, huh? I just checked and I'm up to, like, almost 0.55 pictures per day this month holy smokes
Well, it's like I said, keeping busy works wonders for fighting off that doom and gloom that nobody likes! I won't lie and say I'm totally off the hook or anything, but I feel loads better now that I've had a bit more time to think and to just let loose with the art~

I mostly just wanted to get that other journal out of the way, it's a bit of an eyesore heh
But I may as well take this opportunity to put it in a more obvious spot that I'm actually taking commissions if you want me to work for you. cx
Things are a bit of a mess right now, tho, as I'm still trying to work a couple of things out with prices and whatnot (I was working WAY below minimum wage in BC with my previous prices, and currently they're still below that, but I honestly think being affordable is more important since it's not like this is my one and only source of income; if that was true, I'd have been sunk LONG ago lel)

I'll put the new price sheet up and update my ToS to be cleaner and more palatable Soon™ so keep your eyes out for that! In the meantime, as always, feel free to hit me up for a quote! I do not charge up front and I don't bite so you have nothing to worry about! ♥

It just figures, doesn't it? I finally get back into the groove as my life situation gets significantly less stressful, and then I find myself suffering from something mental instead.
This last one hurts the most, tho, feeling like I've been being lied to for years and just having someone pretend to be my friend. I don't know why, but I just couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.
Maybe it's just the way my head works, but I'm tired of this emotional garbage all the same.

I'm going to keep working on stuff for now--keeping myself occupied has been the main way I've managed to keep myself from pulling the plug this past decade--but I can't promise I won't just give up, not with how much my heart is hurting from this last one.


Even tho most of the people I'm directing it toward prolly won't ever see it, I just want to toss this out there in case I end up doing anything before I get another chance to say it...

I've made some really stupid mistakes, said some incredibly dumb things, and I can't ever expect you to forgive me. I just want you to know that I'm sorry for everything I ever did wrong.
Each of you were my friends, and I treasure the memories of the good times we had. I just wish I could go back and undo the things I did to ruin that.

I truly hope you lot find happiness in your futures, if you haven't found it already. <3
