It's a new year and time for my almost-annual journal. One day I will just buckle down and catch up on my yet-to-post comms backlog. Hope everyone's Holidays went smoothly! And I'm sorry I'm such a social hermit.

There's something about someone hiding a transformation and it coming out at the most inopportune time that really plucks at my interest. Like, what if that was the basis of a story? Princess goes missing, dragon is spotted at a tower, knight is summoned to slay it to rescue the princess, the knight gets there and the princess-dragon is surprised to find the knight that she has huge crush from the courts is here to rescue her!!! But... oh, she can't hardly keep a hold of her human form long enough before she feels herself reverting to dragon form and suddenly the fearsome dragon appears before the knight but the beast is... blushing???

Why isn't this trope explored more? WHY AREN"T THERE MORE MOVIES OR BOOKS ABOUT THIS?? GIVE ME BLUSHING DRAGON PRINCESSES CRUSHING ON TOTALLY NORMAL HUMAN KNIGHTS AND SAID ROMANCE LEADING TO THE KNIGHT CHOOSING TO BECOME WEREDRAGON JUST LIKE HIS NOW-WIFE!!!

Looking for someone to draw my idea of Ahamkara!Izuku. Lemme throw money at someone for something stunning, but truly worthy of the title "eldritch wish-dragon of the Darkness."

It was fun. It was a really fun movie. I had a very good time and enjoyed watching it. Sonic himself was lovably cocky, James Marsden was a giant dork, and then Robotnik. Whew hoohoohoo! ROBOTNIK stole EVERY SCENE he was in!

Bravo, Jeff Fowler, bravo. You done did a good and, alongside Detective Pikachu, have broken the video-game-movie curse!

Gods, it was the trip of a lifetime.

I went to Disney, attended a concert in the park, saw all the animals at Ueno Zoo and Sumida Aquarium, rode the Vanish! and Geki-On Live! rollercoasters (as well as having one full day of fun at Odaiba Joypolis), attended a food festival, and of course got my weeb on in Akihabara/Akiba. I had numerous rice balls, pork buns, noodles, ramen, and soups. I sunk myself into the language, geeking out at every single sentence with kanji I could read. I ogled the beautiful sights of the cityscape, whilst enjoying the smooth and silent ride of the legendary public transit.

And all of that was only in Tokyo!

I will definitely go back for another trip, and next time I will see more of that amazing country. I have over 700 photos saved on my phone, I just have to figure out how to move them into a public url for all of you. (Dropbox refuses to work on my phone.)

But, already, I miss it and wanna go back. Alas, real life calls. One day I will make it back. I promise you that.

Beginning today, I am on vacation to Japan. I will be very much AFK for the next 2 weeks and I'll be sure to take pictures for all you lovelies. See y'all later!

Happy November, everyone! We're in the final months of the year, and for myself now in the single-digits for number of weeks before my big trip!

You, yes you, it matters not if you're a Hunter, Warlock, or Titan. I am in need of some assistance this weekend. You see, I recently picked up Destiny 2 and immediately began my journey to get all the Exotics that I can obtain. However, I have recently run into a problem with all my present exotic quests:

Lumina's quest requires something I have deemed impossible unless I have cooperating friends willing to let me kill them in Gambit.
Thorn's quest has the reprisal of Savathun's Song that is just impossible for me to solo because NO ONE plays that strike.
Leviathan's Breath needs a similar reprisal strike for the Arms Dealer that, I was able to find some pubs but they wound up being trolls that left right as we started the encounter with Bracus Zahn.

Would anyone like to be in my fireteam this weekend? (Preferably for the Gambit objective for Lumina)

"Anata" may officially mean "you," but it's a familiar "you," like when I call someone "dear" or "hon" or "darling." If you use it to speak to your enemies, it sounds weird.

But then again I'm still on the road of learning Japanese myself so there may be exceptions to that context. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Does anyone know of any radio/youtube streams/white noise websites that play nothing but blueberrification sound effects and/or weight gain sounds? I listen to Lo Fi while I write, but I'm finding myself in need of something to arouse the weight gain vibe while I write, too.

January 7-21st I will be unavailable a LOT owing in major part to the fact that I'll be 6560 miles away in JAPAN!!!

Between sick days, getting off work early to see to my landlord in the hospital, stress days, and such, I will not have enough days off to go to Japan.

It breaks my heart, but this is a consequence of my not planning enough ahead of time or better paying attention to my allotted vacation days.

I remember Reach, the forlorn loss I felt as I played through the final missions. I recall the massive battles in CE, 2, and 3. I remember the absolute isolation of ODST.

I'm still stunned that it's all finally coming back and on PC. I can't wait for Reach to drop, so I can play it with my friends who haven't played it yet. Those games are a masterpiece.

Well, that didn't last long. Won't be *as* talkative as I usually am, but I'm feeling pretty much almost 100% again. A good night's rest really does do a body good.

Eh, I'm getting promoted today, so I don't give a darn.
