Excited for Fur Bowl Meet
Posted 9 years agoI'm getting excited for tonight. Bowling and some good food with wonderful furs. I'm not that good a bowler, but doesn't matter. I can still have wonderful fun. Will be going as the Doctor, of course. Fez, bow tie, sonic screwdriver and my tail.
A HEARTFELT MESSAGE
Posted 9 years agoTo all my fur friends and family:
I just want you all to know that I love every one of you. You are all special to me. Thank you for everyone who's helped me through the rough times, who have joked with me, who've listened to me whine and complain. I appreciate what you all have done for me.
If there are those I've never said any of this (or what comes next) to, then I apologize for taking so long to say it. If there are those that I've said this time and time again, this is just something I have to get off my chest. For I know tomorrow isn't guaranteed.
I know I don't talk all that much, whether in groups or individually, and I'm sorry. Sometimes I feel that whatever I might say wouldn't be worth interrupting your lives for.
I know I wouldn't have gotten this far without you. Thank you. Those that I've not met, I hope one day to meet you face-to-face. Those that I have, I hope to meet you again.
I'm sorry if I've been angry, if I've said or done something without thinking. I ask for your forgiveness. I'm only human, I make mistakes. I try not to make too many of them, but there will never be a time I won't, no matter how hard I try.
For whoever has read this far, thank you for taking the time out of your lives to read it. Again, I love all of you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.

My first Furbowl Meet
Posted 9 years agoYesterday was INCREDIBLE! I got to go to my first Furbowl Meet (essentially, a furmeet at a bowling alley, for those that may be wondering). I had lots of fun. Got to hug so many furs (still wish I could have hugged more of them...anywho), played lots of bowling (Not the best bowler, but after so many years, what did I expect?), had some good food, laughed a bit, took lots of pics.
After what I've been through last month, I definitely needed that.
I hope to be able to go to the next one!

Making Your Own Footpaws
Posted 9 years agoI now have a(n) (very strong, nearly irresistible) urge to make my own footpaws. I have already looked on a site that has step-by-step instructions, but was wondering if anyone has done theirs? Do they have any tips on making them?
Pun of the Day: I only listen to waltzes 3/4 of the time.
Posted 9 years agoMy TARDIS Brownie
Posted 9 years agoHere is a pic of a TARDIS brownie I baked from scratch and decorated:

Baked it for last night's furmeet. Turned out very good considering this is the first time I've baked anything like this in...I dunno...forever, perhaps?

Absence.
Posted 9 years agoI'm sorry that I haven't posted, or responded, much lately. I've been a little bit depressed and trying to deal with it...not always with success.
Presentation is Done!
Posted 9 years agoWell, the day is done. I got my presentation out. Of course, as befitting my name, *ahem*, a few things didn't go as planned, but I got it out and hopefully have spread the positive aspects and facts about the furry fandom out there to my group. I wasn't able to introduce everybody as I thought I would, but time was at a premium as there were others to give their presentation. And I wasn't able to do the 11th Doctor's voice and mannerisms as I had been practicing all the past few weeks (with a break in the last 2 weeks), but still... I'm really afraid to throw my presentation board out now.
Anxious for Tomorrow's Speech.
Posted 9 years agoI'm getting a bit anxious/nervous for tomorrow's speech that I will be giving on the Furry Fandom on my class. I'm ready for it...I think.

The Doctor is Back.
Posted 9 years agoSorry that I've been away for a long time. Between the funeral, helping my mom with stuff, not really feeling well, and attending to family matters, things have been hectic or depressing for me.
But they are starting to get better and I promise I will try to be on here and respond to posts more often. *hugs all my friends and family tight*

One Last Song for Dad
Posted 9 years agoTomorrow at dad's funeral, I plan on singing my poem/song. It's going to be very hard because 1. I can't really sing, 2. I have stage fright and I don't like talking, much less trying to sing, in front of large groups of people, 3. I'm not only going to be emotional, but being slightly empathetic, I'm going to be feeling everyone else's sorrow and pain. But, it's going to be one last thing I can do for my dad before saying "good-bye" for the final time. I just ask that God will give me the strength and courage to do this. Please pray for me to get through the singing...and the day.
A poem for my dad

Your respirator's silent,
There's no one in your chair.
I know that you're in heaven,
I'm glad that you're up there.
You can finally breathe on your own,
You can walk and run.
You can fly faster than an eagle,
Higher than the sun.
Part of me wishes you were back,
Sad that you're away.
But, up in heaven, there's no pain or misery,
There's no night - only day.
Your folks up there have had
Such a long, long time to wait.
But finally you've job on earth is done,
You've reached the Pearly Gate.
Though those of us who are still here,
Will certainly miss you true.
Know that now and forever,
We'll always love and remember you.

Offline/Emotionally Unstable
Posted 9 years agoMy friends and family here,
I just wanted you to know that I may be offline or (thought trying to keep it together) emotionally unstable for awhile. My dad passed away this morning. I've been busy helping my mom with calls/arrangements/getting "my" room ready for my brother and his family to move into once they arrive and so forth. I will be back sometime later. Thank you all for your understanding and patience. :'(

A poem from the heart
Posted 9 years agoIf I don't talk, text, Skype or chat,
Still where you are is where my heart is at.
You're still my friends and family,
With you all is where I'll be.
I love you all more than words can say.
All afternoon, evening, night or day.
I hope to see you all face to face,
At one time, in one place.
I'm with you all in heart and mind,
By looking deep in there, it's you I'll find.
Sometimes the separation brings me to tears,
It haunts my mind and strengthens my fears.
But imagining you're with me can give me peace,
And afterwards my anxiety does cease.
I love you all, please never doubt,
This is Carl/Murphy, over and out.
