In Spokane we have an event called First Friday that showcases artists all around town. I often go to these as a critic and simply admirer of art. Recently I was thinking of playing off this idea with my video work lately on Fuzzy Images. Make a monthly Show called "Furst Friday" where I showcase furry artists maybe with a minor critique on their work. I wanted to get any ideas or suggestion, or even if you think its a good or bad idea.

I would be posting them on You Tube and be working through the month to get permission and writing the script. the final week would likely be just small recordings and putting their art together in the video. I'm aware how the furry fandom has some negative images, so I'd be looking for the more tasteful or clean imagery of course. The idea is to show that Furries do make very respectful art. That being said though, I would post a warning on the links to the artists galleries ^^;

Woot schools done! Well, for now any ways. I'm getting back to my comics and hope too have one up in a few days. I want to thank all of you loyal guys that kept going back to check for a new comic, boosting my veiws to nearly 20,000, and making me feel bad for not having anything for you all. You guys are awsome if not slightly crazy by definition.

In other news:

I'm hoping to get too RF, my busy time struggeling with school in the summer left me without a room. If any one has space for two artists, I would be willing to pay the entire room cost. I'm looking for space in the main hotel if possible, note me if you can help.

Also on RF I am supposed to be running the spirituality panel this year, as well as the art jam. Hope to see you all there.

I have a new comic in the work. Inspired by a soon to start pathfinder game, this comic is about a group of mischievous goblins. I hope too have a few pages by next month.

I thought I would come back and explain a bit.

I decided to put the comic on the side for probably 2 months. I will still try to get a comic out here and there so it doesn't get ignored for 2 months straight.

The problem is I just had too much pile on at once. I had a good pace going but as usual I ended up falling right down into a bad slump once again and I had no buffer of comics ready. I had planned on ConFurence for about 3 years on an off yet never got going with it. Then a friend got me going and I jumped in with only 3 comics done and a handful of ideas. So the last 2 comics I ended up stressed out when crunch time came around and still had to focus on everything else in my life.

I will get back to the comic when I have a better buffer made, but with school back up I had to get my priorities in order.

I'll keep every one posted.

I hate to say it every one but I'm afraid I have to put ConFurence off to the side for a little while. I know it hasn't been up long and I was having a good run there. But a lot of things have been getting in the way right now and with school starting its too much to do at once right now.

I promise there will be more in the future. This is not the end of it so soon. I actually feel I started the comic too soon, with no buffer made to give me some room to breath between comics.

I'll update when its back up.

Does any one know of a program that will allow me to record off the screen? I don't have a a lot of money right now so if you know of an app or program that's rather affordable love to know.

(This is something I posted on a few forums, its a bit of a rant and I know it may seem to be a bit of a gripe. However its important for me to say. Don't feel like this is a shout for attention. I am not quieting, I am not pointing fingures, and I am not taking anything down or any of that. Its just something I really had to shout and get off my chest)


For a long time I felt the the value of art is in it being viewed. Sure art can have a personal value and be important and great without attention being drawn to it. As a critic I often find some of my favorite pieces of art in a gallery go passed by, the onlookers dazzled by modern concepts of "expression". However I for a while thought on what makes success in the art world. Sure its great if work is important to you, but truly what is the "Value" of ones art if no one looks at it? The value then is only personal, but is that success? One may argue, "Being happy is to be successful" and yes, indeed it does. What makes you happy though?

Yesterday and today, I seemed to have a rather successful bout of attention on my artwork and comics. I am proud of this. Never did I think I would be so belittled by my friends and peers for enjoying this sharp incline of popularity. To be told I take the wrong interest in my art. Truth is I for a long time have not enjoyed my own work and creating it has been a struggle. Worse more is that it took no interest in public eye. To me this is a sharp and harsh blow to work so hard for no personal interest, No payment of any kind, and no outside interest. Yet I persevered and struggled on to continue my work even though I felt no prize from it. To now finally find one thing to grasp too. One reason to enjoy the fact that I put so much time and effort, Just to be told that its the wrong reason! Told by friends and peers that I focus to much on the attention and not personal satisfaction!

If I am not allowed to take what little enjoyment I can reach out and take hold of. This one handle that is beginning to pull me out of the dust and onto me feet once more. If I cant take that, then why should I do it at all?

Ok!! In desperate need of art projects (Not having any art classes this quarter) I need something to focus on as if it was an assignment. So got an art request? I'm also using this as a good tool to test if I'm really ready for taking commissions. I will start with 5 openings and if i get enough requests fast enough I will try and have them done at latest May 30th.

Well I know its late for me to wright this but just a few minutes ago when watching George Carlin I came up with "Artist Pride Day" to be celebrated. Well I decided for it to be on Leonardo De Vinci's birthday which happens to be, TODAY April 15th. What irony. So wich 15 minutes left I wish every one a great Artist Pride Day and next year I will have this all over the place and the requirements to achieve that day, please give suggestions.
