In case any of you are not aware, tomorrow is the day  dineegla gets his hip worked on to replace the spacer presently there. Doctors tell us the chances are very good that he will be able to walk again and I look forward to the day when we walk side by side as opposed to me behind him, pushing a wheelchair.
My husband is a very special guy and he has to put up with a LOT of BS from his job, church, bills, building maintence (something is always breaking down) and ESPECIALLY from me. Frankly, I don't know how he does it without ending up in a corner, sucking his thumb and muttering "Going to my happy place! "
He's the smartest, kindest guy I've ever met and how he puts up with me is one of the great mysteries of life.
Anyways, I'm asking that you all make a special prayer for him that everything goes according to plan and he can go on with the life and happiness he so richly deserves.

I wanted everyone to know what was going on with us these days and why we...correction... I have not been posting any new art or commissions.

One part is that Dineegla has been crazy busy with preparations for his upcoming surgery on Sept 21. Pre-surgery appointments, insurance hassles, as well as other medical issues have been just awful. And he found out last week that the Rehab Place gave him a urinary tract bug-resistant infection from last JANUARY! His new doctor discovered it and it could have sidelined his operation again. Plus he is very high-strung and nervous since last time. Last time he went in we lost two of our dogs (one was my fault) and he doesn't believe in bad luck, but...

That plus keeping up with bills, preparing things at his job for his absence (those old lady bitches can be sooo nasty to him) and day to day problems (upstairs tenants) have been keeping him at the brink.

I try to help but I need to work on keeping up my end of the marriage, financially. I have been neglecting my art duties and obligations, and working with my husband to let him know what artwork is done or what he has to finish. For that, I am truly sorry. Din and I just had a fight because I did not tell him some artwork for a Commissioner was done months ago. He had no way of knowing that and the Commissioner was upset with him. All that did was add more pressure on him and him fighting with me.

I really am a screw-up. I am also having problems staying off the game apps on my iPad. Dineegla is worried about "game addiction" and has locked me out a few times to help me stay off.

For any commissions owed (even his), please contact ME, not Dineegla, and I will see what needs to be done to make things right.

Again, I am very sorry and apologize to you all.

With warm weather inching its way back, it's time I made a pilgrimage. Come sometime this summer, my aim is to make a return trip to my old stomping grounds in Ontario, Canada. A mixture of business and pleasure, I would hope to visit my brother and his family and just as importantly, re-new my expired Canadian driver's licence. Of course, nothing is cheap any more and to defer travel and motel costs, I'm opening up to commissions. The goal: to raise a minimum of $500 (more if possible)so I wanna get the ball rolling asap. Soooo.. wanna see your fursona showing off for beach time or some other occassion? We'll do most anything within reason. Oh and Vivere, your pics ARE in the works.

Well, the past keeps coming back to bite me in the buttocks.
Today, I got a notice from Passport Canada telling me I had til Jan 14/2016 to reply and get my passport issues cleared up. With any luck, I will be sending out the remaining required documentation.
So that brings me to paying for it. SO, l am opening slots for 5 inked and hand-colored pics (markers) for $37 each ($10 extra for additional character).
The usual reservations apply tho I will try to accommodate requests for nudes as long as we approve.
This would make a great holiday gift.

Well, as things pile up with the bills, taxes, delinquent rent, funds, etc., it's becoming worse and worse to the point where I must ask for any kind of donation for Dineegla to keep his (not our) head above water. More on that in a moment. You can send it thru the usual means and any amount will be hugely appreciated.
Commissions are still open, btw.
Now to Part II:
It's become plain that much of our predicament is my fault. Ok, I didn't cause Din to break his hip or the tenants to be behind on their rent or other tenants to move out, leaving us in a lurch...
BUT it IS my fault that things have not been done (or done properly) when it comes to: keeping up with commission work, household chores, cleaning, taking care of Din the way it should be done, I am easily distracted by other things like my Ipad, tv, etc. And when I do some work, well, tho I think it's done, it's not done either correctly, sufficently or satisfactory.
So to sum it up, I am a F***up when it comes to being an artist, husband, fur and just plain human.
This is not a sob story or a "feel sorry for me" rant. It's just me telling it as it is.
I will continue to try to help Din wherever, whenever, whatever I can. I know it'll never be good enough to repay him for all he's done for me over the years..if he will let me.
I still love him and feel honored he chose me.
I wish I was worthy of it.

I feel like crap.

I'm pleased to report that my hubby is doing well following the operation.
As Dineegla continues to rehab from his hip surgery, the bills continue to come in.
So I am putting myself out for new commissions starting at $20 for a basic inking. Any additional funds would be counted as a contribution to the cause of keeping the wolf from the door (not me).
What does this mean? Well, pretty much anything goes as long as we are comfortable with it. So here's your chance!
We appreciate your continued support and patience in working our way through these rough times.

Din got busted by the Doctor Police tonight!

He had just finished his "hospital approved" dinner when I walked in from the local hotdog place, Photos Hotdog. I had gone there for dinner, and brought it back to the hospital room.

Din's one big weakness is French fries. So he reached over and pilfered some fries from me. The Doctor who specializes in infectious diseases stopped by and they talked about long-range medical goals for the infection that's in his leg.

As the doctor was ready to leave, he leaned over to Din and took a fry that had fallen on his chest, saying, "Boy these fries look really good. Looks like you dropped one." And proceeded to throw it into the garbage. Din looked shocked, pointed to me and said, "it's HIS fries, not mine!"

The doctor gave him a "doubting look" as he shook hands and then left.

I yelled, "BUSTED!" As Din was really embarrassed...

So tomorrow is the big day and my husband goes in for his hip replacement operation. And just tonight we find out there is an infection there which means a second operaton will be needed 3 months down the road to put the actual pin in (tomorrow's will be a cleaning and a tempo pin). The doctor is top notch, I'm told so that much is good. Still, it's gonna be super intense for now. Woulda been nice is SOMEONE had told us this earlier.

My husband has a broken leg and a fractured hip. He can't even sit up in a chair for more than 15 minutes because of the intense pain, which he's had since October 15. He's on pain meds that could drop a horse in five minutes. They could not operate until this Friday because he needed strength therapy to even get to this point. My pain threshold is nowhere as great as Din's. I just couldn't tolerate this.

So I hope you can see my concern when someone asks about their artwork right now. Please be a little sensitive and use common sense when asking. Or not asking.

I wanted to send thanks to all who sent me birthday wishes for my 62nd. Gah, sure don't feel like 62...... 82, mebbe.

In other news, the moose continues his rehabilatation, working towards his Nov 13th date for his operation. You just KNOW it would be a Fri, the 13th!

Meanwhile, the house is very empty without him and I miss him terribly. It's true what they say, "Loneliness is all it's cracked up to be."

Lonely Werewolf

Wednesday night we came home and Din was sitting on a stool outside our garage. It's all concrete patio there. Anyways, when he went to get up with his walker, he lost his balance and fell backwards into the garbage cans. Now for you or me, it woulda been a minor slip but given the fact he has had surgery on both hips, any kind of fall is serious business. What ended up happening, it took our tenant plus me to get him into his wheelchair. It was decided to take him to Emergency for examination. I got him there and the medics took over. Long story short, he has a hairline fracture in his left hip that will need surgery soon. He is in the hospital and will be transferred to Therapy for about a week. Then surgery will follow to shore up his leg. The silver lining is when all is said and done, his leg will be much better and he might not need a walker or wheelchair and mebbe just a cane at most.
What this is means is, things are gonna be pretty nuts here. I will be holding down the fort while Din convelences. I AM gonna try to get as much art as possible going but it's gonna be slow going. So please understand , my commissioners, you will get your art but this has thrown a monkey wrench into our plans. I can only ask your continued indulgence and patience. Btwn this and other matters, we are both under a lot of pressure. Please pray for the moose and if you can spare one, me too.

How's this for ironic??

Even tho I am the one with the less than perfect teeth, poor Din is having teeth problems (which is so weird 'cause he pre rinses, brushes, post-rinses, flosses, and gargles like crazy). Monday he has to go in and have TWO teeth extractions (Ouch!!), two cavities back to back, teeth not salvageable. This week he's been in pain and miserably depressed.

Needless to say, this does not come cheap so I wanna open up to help defray costs. SO, commissions are open at a special price of $27 for an inking (normally $35). Let's make sure Din keeps that beautiful smile.

It's lousy living with a moose with dental pain.

And I know someone here has seen it!

Moosie is driving me crazy. He says that we have a book from the Dealer's Den at an MFF convention, but I can't find it.

The cover of the book has a human being on the left side. He may or may not be clothed like a warrior. On the right side of the cover is a black wolf or some very dark, muscular furry. It's a story about human and furry interaction. Something Moosie loves.

Can anyone tell us the name of the book? Or see at least a picture?

Moosie has been all over the Internet looking for it.

My mega-muscled moose turned 62 today. We've had our ups and downs, physically, emotionally, financially and whatevere else but thru it all, he tries to do the right thing and take care of me, our menagerie, work, church, the furry fandom, etc. It gets to him sometimes and I see it. But thru it all, we have each other and I can only pray he will continue to share it with me. I love him every day. We drive each other nucking futs but we also love each other. I hope I can continue to be worthy of that love.
