Commissons are OPEN!
General | Posted 10 years agoWell, it's been a rough go for us lately. With recent storms causing mold damage to our building and now one of our tenants has notified us that they are moving out due to a new baby, our finances are being stretched to the breaking point. So, to help out my moose husband, I an opening up to $22 inking commissions (no colorings at this time). Donations are also heartily welcomed and appreciated.
BTW, anybody we still owe art work to, please send me a reminder note as to what is owed. We haven't forgotten our obligations (Thoron, especially you) but RL has a nasty habit of getting in the way.
We also want to get back into the swing of things with new art.
AND we are considering signing up with Patreon which would star our Life Imitates Art comics and Max Minotaur. Stay tuned!
Oh, and as far as we know, we will be attending MFF tho perhaps only Fri, Sat.
Sunday might be excluded.
Thanks to all in advance.

Godzilla Mini-Fest was a HUGE SUCCEZZ!!
General | Posted 10 years agoOn Saturday, August 1st, Godzilla Aficionados came together at the Museum to pay hómage to Godzilla, the King of the Monsters! We had over 20 people attend!
MuscleWolf and another Godzilla-crazed worshiper named Alex gave us all a great panel on:
The Big Guy
His history
The History of Godzilla's suit
His Creator's History
His foes and friends
Godzilla Trivia
and MORE!
dineegla made a slideshow of pictures to compliment the talk, and everyone wanted to know WHERE he got his pictures from. The Internet, of course!
After the talk we had a nice break with cookies and drink. Everyone got a current Godzilla comic, and a Question and Answer session.
musclewolf brought his whole troop of Godzys and filled up two Huge display cases, which will be on display until September.
Then we all got to see "Godzilla versus The THING!" (which was actually Mothra)
bavarian showed up too.
We have high hopes of doing it all again next year! People donated to defray the cost of food and comics, Thank you all!!

General | Posted 10 years agoAug 1 (Saturday), the Niles Historical & Cultural Museum in Niles Illiinois is hosting a Godzilla Mini-Fest. Yours truly will be showing off my modest collection of Godzilla goodies (including a 10' inflatable G) as well as giving a talk on the Monster King's history. We'll also be showing 2 movies (yet to be determined) in the museum's auditorium. There is a $5 admission fee that helps out the museum's costs. I'm hoping any kaiju-loving furs that might wanna make the journey and meet me and the Moose in person (added bonus!!). Hope to see ya!

Small Commissions to Pay off Car Accident
General | Posted 10 years agoDineegla and I went to visit of of his handbell widow ladies yesterday. We had a nice, two hour chat with scones and jam. She doesn't get out much and she loves the handbell group. And visitors.
As we were leaving and backing slowly out of her driveway, Din got distracted and backed into the bumper of the ford pickup right across the street. We went to the guy's house to tell him, and he was really nice. He knew the lady we visited for over 30 years as friends. And he's a mechanic. So he got the part cheaper and now we owe him, by tomorrow. Din's back hatch to his minivan was damaged, too. But we'll get an estimate and get that fixed much later.
Din had some money saved up to pay a rather important bill and now that's gone, so we need to raise some quick cash.
If you are interested, I'm doing inkings, one character for $17.00. $5 more for two. We haven't forgotten the Christmas rent project. Din will be contacting people this weekend to get that started.
What started as a nice afternoon ended not quite as nice, but it could have been worse.

Miracle for a Moose
General | Posted 10 years agoRemember my last journal concerning the disappearance of my hubby's new Iphone and how we feared it lost/stolen?!
Are you sitting down for this?
This morning, I went to check out for mail and look in our mailbox. Much to my astonishment, there's Moosie's phone sitting in there! Needless to say, Din shared my disbelief when I presented it to him. We were both shocked and Moosie was overwhelmed.
We then thanked any saints that might have lent a hand while Moosie called his little old lady friends from the handbell group to thank them for praying.
Just goes to show you there ARE some honest folk out there. Or someone who felt very guilty.
I also wanna thank all those here who said a prayer. And donated. You'll get nice drawings when we start up again.
We still have things that need be done but it IS nice to have one less worry.

More Prayers for my Moose
General | Posted 10 years agoToday I called Passport Canada. They charged Moosie's card for the Passport, but didn't tell us that we needed to retake my pictures. How do you like that?
So we went to the local post office and while I was getting my picture taken, some jerk picked Moosie's pocket with Moosie's iPhone 6+, the one he got from Christmas!
Some CREEP pickpocketed a man in a WHEELCHAIR and took his lifeline to me!!
We used the "find my iPhone" app and it lead us to Al's Roast Beef, a local eatery. Moosie should have called his phone at that point but we think the perp turned the sound down. When we got outside we noticed that the app said Moosie's phone was just turned off. Yeah, we almost found it. We think they saw us enter the eatery with my iphone trying to find his, and they quickly shut it down.
Called the police, made out a report, called Apple and got his warranty refunded, called AT&T and killed the phone, suspended his phone number, and Moosie set his iPhone to "erase." So if they ever turn it back on, it'll become a brick. And we are seriously getting replacement insurance next time.
He's still paying for it, but when we get ahead, we'll get him another one. We still have some pictures to do for the rent for Greenneare88, and Moosie's got a check from the Elections coming that he wants to put to the new phone. But after that, I'll draw a bit for the phone-fund. If anyone wants to contribute a few dollars now though, we won't mind.
I never thought I'd see him so lost without it. How strange. How sad, too. He enjoyed the bigger screen so much and it was easier to use the number pad. The sound was nicer, too.

Prayers For A Moose
General | Posted 10 years agoMy mate
dineegla is an amazing man. Btwn finalizing my passport issues, getting me on Obamacare, the Easter season at church (involving choir, handbells, kid's choir, etc.), literally holding together the museum where he works part time and puts in loooooooong hours and now trying to cobble together taxes. He sleeps at odd hours, gets emotional, worries about me incessantly, worries about everything, and is becoming a wreck.
It would be a great favour to me if you could keep him in your prayers, give him an encouraging shout on his page, etc. He deserves so much better than the crap he has to put with (including from me). Thanks in advance from a grateful werewolf.

General | Posted 11 years agoAnother MFF is in the history books and it always leaves me with mixed feelings..kinda like XMas. Glad when it comes and look forward to it but also glad when its done. I do always feel sad when its over and linger around after closing ceromonies, just soaking the last remanants of the suiters, partying and comraderie. I always miss it for some time after.
Thanks to those who commissioned me and helped us financially.
Special kudow to Master Pegasus who was beside me in Artists' Alley and was quite kind and showed me his jewellery wares. He does very kewl stuff and comes highly reccommended.
Further Con details here at my hubby's journal: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6327228/

General | Posted 11 years agoThis morning I lost a long-time friend, My 18+ year old Chocolate Point Siamese cat, Simba, was taken to the vet this morning to be relieved of his duties here on earth. He had been wasting away for some time now yet showed no signs of slowing down until only the last few days. I got him as a kitten and he was very devoted to me. A litle stand-offish to new people but soon warmed up to them (especially if bribed with food). He was an indoor cat and never saw the outside world much unless it was a trip to the vet so he grew to hate being took outside.Typical of him, he'd smell my lips when I went to bed to make sure I was ok. And you didn't DARE leave his food dish empty or you'd know about it... good and loud! These are just of the few things I will remember him by. There are too many more to list.
When I came to live with Dineegla, Simba had to get used to a household of dogs. It took time but they got to totally ignore each other... save when the dogs got too close and Simba would decide enough was enough and take a swipe at them. Just to put them in their place. Vassals have to know the rules after all.
One of the things he did was to convert Dineegla (who is a bonfide dog lover) into loving cats as well. An amazing feat in itself.
Will we get another cat? I honestly don't know at this point. As I turn 61 this Friday, I don't know if I want the commitment of taking care of another cat well into my 70's. And then there's the inevitable heartache of them passing away eventually. We'll be going thru that with the dogs at some point down the road. Also, do I want to expose a cat to a house of dogs? Perhaps if it's a kitten and it grows up with them...
My one consolation is he spent his last night btwn us in our bed, his favourite spot to be.
As we said goodbye, I asked him to say hello to Chi (my previous siamese). I hope he understood. I know they're playing together now.
Special thanks go to my husband, Dineegla, who helped me thru this. It's stilll rough tho.
Thank you, Simba. Thanks for the memories.

Halloween AUCTION!
General | Posted 11 years agoYOU are bidding on a piece of artwork from MuscleWolf and Company, sight unseen yet.
The auction will start at 12:01 a.m. (CST, Chicago), October 1st. Any bids before that time will be disqualified.
1. MuscleWolf will create a basic line art of a muscular furry OF YOUR CHOICE AT THE END OF THE AUCTION.
2. People on FA would bid towards the final creation of this piece of artwork.
3. The artwork will have a starting bid of $30.
4. Bids can be no more than $5 an incremental bid. You can bid here on this Journal AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WANT. At the end of the day I will tally who has the highest bid so far.
5. We have several levels of commissioning prices. As we pass those levels, they will open up towards the coloring of the artwork. Types of art can be found here
6. If we pass $150 whoever is the highest bidder will get a chance to work with MuscleWolf to add to his creation and get the rights to own the character.
6. if it goes past the $200 mark, the highest bidder gets to create ANOTHER piece of art to go with the first piece (following our rules of what we will create: no fetishes, tasteful nudity, etc.).
ALL BIDS WILL BE FINAL AND DONE by Dineegla's BIRTHDAY, October 6th, 12:01 P.M.
Payment is expected by Wednesday, October 8. Please do NOT bid if you are NOT serious.
Auction update - After Consulting with the Other Owner of The Company, we decided to add art surprises at different levels as people bid. Since they are surprises, we can't go into them all, BUT safe to say that we MAY move the art "levels" around, just to make it interesting. Or maybe adding a free sketch, or icon, or badge at certain amounts? So by the time you reach a certain level, you might have gotten more than you bidded for...
So.... If you don't bid, you can't win.

General | Posted 11 years agoJust a reminder:
I get a lot of watches here on my page when they see new art, but remember that NEW ART also appears on

Staff Artist Asking for a Critique on His Coloring Technique
General | Posted 11 years agoOn of the Staff Artists has finished a piece located here . He is striving to do his art better and would like a critique on his coloring.
What he does not want: "lovely," "nice," "looking good," "great fapping material," "I want to bed him," "what a stud-fucker", "*gets on my knees to worship*".
You get the idea.
He would like constructive criticism.
If you dislike it, tell him why.
If you like it, tell him why.
If you just came all over your monitor because of it, please keep that TMI info to yourself!
Got it? If he gets better, you get a better coloring Commission, and that's what we're striving for. n'est-ce pas ?
Please post your commentary on THIS JOURNAL.
We will not comment on your comment. We want to remain neutral.
