Whoops I fucked up
Posted 7 years agoSo i crashed my car and, being a delivery driver, they don't like that. SOOO im inevitably going to lose my super amazing job at dominos, which means financial problems. That job was so fun and made me so happy. I was scheduled as the only driver on labor day weekend sunday..for the second sunday in a row. I was doing the work of 2-3 people at once and everything was an hour late. I lost my prius, job, all of my savings, and my social life :(
I'm desperately trying to find something that will pay enough.
I made a new YCH for $60 and I"ll do normal thigh-up commissions for $45 If anyone wants to help. ;-;

Long-term Hiatus
Posted 7 years agoOh no, the time has come. I'm too grown up and busy to do art things :(
I currently am working 2 jobs and going to college, which leaves little to no free time, let alone time to draw for other people. I hate making people wait for art. I think about it constantly and it stresses me out. So, after I finish this last YCH i'm working on, I will be inactive. Maybe, if I'm in the mood, I will draw some of my OCs, but no promises- I've barely drawn anything for myself in YEARS.
I've been in the online art community since I was 13 and I am now almost 25. Its been a long ride♥ I appreciate everyone that has supported me over the years and everyone who have bought commissions from me. It really helped me out more than you know.

Another Life Update!
Posted 7 years agoSup guys. Just popping in to give you a little update.I have been going through a huge transition in every aspect of my life and that would be why I have slowed down art greatly.
1. 2 weeks into going to 4 year Uni, i decided I hate business classes and want to be a biologist LMAO. SO, I will be going bakc to community college next semester to get my 2nd associates degree in science, then going BACK to the 4 year with a major in Biology with a concentration in Environment and Conservation + a minor in Paleontology. I want to be a wildlife rehabilitation or an ethologist or just steve irwin tbh
2. I got my first apartment with my sister. I will not be actually living there until May because I paid fucking $5400 for my dorm this semester and you bet your ass im milking it the whole time. I will be paying rent and utilities and have my OWN BATHROOM FOR THE FIRST TIME!!1 Which I can actually affors, because....
3. DOMINOS DRIVERS GET PAID BANK, YALL. I thought it was about having a higher-than-min-wage job, but dude- I get $120 in cash every weekend delivering pizzas and that isnt even my paycheck yet. Plus, its very therapeutic to my loneliness and lack of a social life to be able to have a tiny peek into so many peoples lives and have people happy to see you, haha. I was worried that I would need to get a 3rd job, but this is perfect. I love working at Dominoes. I work 7 days a week, but DO IT FOR THE SCIENCE CAREER ;A;;;;
4. I deleted my ex that I was trying to cling onto for way too long-- trying to love him unconditionally because he didnt love himself. I was driving myself nuts, but I realize how fucking lame he was in every single thing we did together. He doesn't even know who he is as a person. I feel a lot better, even though he was my best friend at one point :T Its healthier this way.
5. I'm also still on a zero-waste/low-impact obsession. i'm doing a lot of weird things like sleeping on the floor, using nuts as laundry detergent, and spending way too much fucking money at lush just to avoid packaging, but its fun!
So, yeah. Art is going slow as fuck and i'm so tired all the time LOL.

Life Update
Posted 7 years agoHello everyone! I'm just popping in with a bit of a life update.
As some of you may know, I just recently transferred and moved to my 4 year university to get my bachelor's in Accounting/ work towards being a CPA. WELLLLL, as soon as i entered the school for orientation, and ever since then, every part of me wished that I was a biology major, but that would mean pretty much starting all over again. I'm the type of person that knows what I want and will get it no matter how long it takes, SO I changed my major from Accounting to Biology with a concentration in environmental and conservation biology with a minor in paleontology. TBH this is PRETTY MUCH my dream career area. I want to be an ethologist (someone who studies the behaviors of animals) or a wildlife rehabilitator or something similar that works hands on with wild animals. That kind of stuff is always who I have been since a child. I finally feel like I am where I belong ♥ ♥
That being said, university is FUCKING EXPENSIVE. I'm talking $5400 for FOUR MONTHS of living in my dorm--not counting ANYTHING ELSE. So I am picking up more hours at my current job and possibly picking up a second job in hopes of renting out a place off campus. Unfortunately, that means i'm going to be super busy all the time. BUT at the time being I will be trying to do monthly YCHs to help buy things to help me on my minimalism/zero waste journey. So all art is not lost ;u;/
My New Year's resolution that I made was to join the minimalist/zero waste movement and I am loving it. I have gotten rid of SO MANY THINGS that I never use. My closet is probably 1/3 of what it used to be. All of my possessions fit into my 9x12' dorm (neatly). I am able to resist buying things that I dont actually need. I have reusable straws, I hand wash my dishes with biodegradable soap, I am composting my food waste, I am eating healthy, and having so few items allows you to appreciate what you have. I bond with my dishes when I hand wash the because i'm weird LOL. I'm looking next to buy safety razors (No more plastic and the blades biodegrade over time!), bamboo toothbrushes (No more plastic, again, and all of it, except the bristles, are biodegradable), Shampoo bars (No plastic bottles or weird chemicals), and stuff to make my own whipped body butter! ( Once again, no more plastic bottles or weird chemicals). The older I get, the more my hippie comes out, haha.
I have been doing research out the ass on natural replacements and zero waste and minimalism, so if any of you are interested in a more healthy, less stressful, more eco-friendly lifestyle and tips, just hmu!

I am very sorry, but at this point in time my life is super stressful and I will not be able to complete your icons. I will be issuing a refund to everyone's paypal over the next week or so, depending on how quickly my funds can transfer. Any icons ordered since November 2nd will be refunded. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
I hope everyone a Happy New Year's and maybe you can get some yummy chipotle or a book with that $10 or so, haha.

Posted 8 years agoHello everyone! This is just a bit of a life update. Also, I will be closing commissions for a while.
I will be transferring to a 4 year university in a month. I am hoping to be living in a dorm. I haven't found out if I have a dorm yet or not. I currently live at home with my parents, which would be a great back up, but my dad came home with news on thanksgiving that my family must move out of state or else he will lose his job.
My sister and I are staying behind.
I have lived in this area since I was 3 and in this neighborhood since I was 8. I have never lived without my pets. I am a lonely person, so i am very connected to my fur babies.
Not only would it be my first adult move, but if I don't secure a dorm, that means I will be homeless. I have no friends to stay with, so if that happens I will either have to squeeze into a dirty 1 room basement with my sister and her bf, or max out my credit card with extended stay hotels. woooo.
I need to secure a dorm, move all of my stuff out of my house and into said dorm + a storage unit, I need to figure out all my transfer things and sign up for classes, I need to take my final exams for this semester, I need to buy stuff for my dorm and I have to do it all by myself. Super stressed.
That being said, I'm no longer taking commissions for now. I will continue to work on the ones that have been ordered. Thank you.
