Patterns
Pattern: Any colors any patterns. There are no reserved patterns and anything will work. Be you and make them how you want!

Head

Horns: They are not required. If you want horns just about anything will work
Ears: Generally all long pointy and with big fluffy Tufts
Hair: A laylix might have any hair you could imagine. Anything works
Eyes: The eyes are always big. Any style and color will work
Nose: Always big. Design doesn't vary

Arms

Paws: The paws are always large with big beans
Lower arm: This part transitions smoothly from the elbow into the paws hiding the wrists. Refer to reference for visual example
Shoulder: Any kind of tuft will work here

Body

Tufts and Fluff: Anything you want! They are normally very fluffy but it's changeable. Go for it make them a poof ball or the complete opposite it's up to you
Crotch: This part is always hanging low. Kinda like a corgi or baggy pants

Legs

LEG: Besides Tufts the legs don't change. Short, digitigrade, and with big fluffy paws

Tail

Tail: The tails are always very very long. Any design and any number of tails will work but it is recommended to keep them simple

Wings

Wings: Yes they sometimes have wings! Any wings design will work it's up to your preference

The Laylix
OPEN

Anyone can use them but there are a few rules first!

RULES:
No gender. Meaning no genitals and no using the bathroom
No sex drive. These fluffy things are innocent so please keep them that way :)
No fetishes or NSFW art please!

CHANGEABLE BITS:
They do not require horns they can have whatever is fitting for that character like hair.
Their eyes can be just about any type. such as normal eyes, Iris and pupil swapped places, full black pupil eyes, blank white eyes, or pure Iris.
Fur colors and patterns can be just about anything. Even adding or changing up tufts is fine.
Tongue can be anything and be any size. Tiny little blep or wear it as a scarf it's up to you.
Laylix usually don't have claws with their large plush like paws but if you want some go ahead.

SLIGHTLY CHANGEABLE BITS:
A laylix tail is supposed to be very long. Long enough to be able to wrap around the characters feet while standing. Though there is no limit to their size they can get even longer.
The ears are always big and long but there is no limit. Unless of course they have a house in which case the limit is the ceiling xD

UNCHANGEABLE BITS:
Just about everything else body structure wise is required for a laylix and can't be changed. Such as muzzle, nose, digitigrade legs, low tummy, and large paws.

THEIR PERSONALITY:
They are very young mentally. Innocent and curious about everything. Each laylix does have their own quirks but are almost always happy.
It is very very rare for there to be a laylix which is smart enough to talk. They are all capable of it physically but almost never mentally and attempting to train them will probably just confuse them.

Laylixes are treated like live plushies to cuddle and love their whole life. So as you could imagine they hug and cuddle and love just about everything.

so it's probably one of the more upsetting things to happen to a digital artist. a drawing tablet breaking on them.

I got the Huion 1060PLUS and only used it now and then for about a year. It has some major problems and after this tablet i dont think i will ever get another Huion tablet.

the drivers are absolutely horrible. If you plug in the tablet while any content creation software like Sai or Photoshop is open it will not respond, the pressure sensitivity will stop working, and the most common issue is it will delete the windows cursor until you restart.

It is so glitchy it feels like trying out a new videogame that's in alpha!! (even after updating)
And thats not talking about the physical part of it. It has an appealing look to it but it feels very cheap. The mini usb port on the tablet has recently broke and the tablet only flickers on and off making it impossible to draw anymore.

I have used this tablet very light compared to how most artists draw on their tablets and it is absolutely unacceptable for it to break on me this fast. I WILL NOT EVER get a Huion again.

Im going to have to use my sisters Wacom tablet now that was actually cheaper than this junk.

in all seriousness i got really distracted with this one drawing for a while. like for a few months its all i was working on and i know when i eventually do show everyone its not going to be a pixel perfect recreation of the mona lisa but i haven't ever done something like it before.

its kinda simple and kinda normal to what you see on here all the time so you may think... "why did he take 5 months on this???"

well... going from not being able to draw a straight line to creating whats in my head perfectly without any past drawing experience takes some serious work its why my drawings suddenly jumped up in quality.

Now... for all of you that are struggling with your art and it never comes out right then do what i do. take an idea and draw a sketch if it doesn't come out right draw another one and experiment changing bits here and there. look at other drawings and get inspired with ideas then make another sketch.
keep making those sketches over and over and changing bits here and there until it comes out how you want.

art wont make itself... so... you have to work for it. as long as it takes.
