Long answer: Art School's keeping me busy, but that doesn't mean that I don't check this page every now and then, or wonder what kinds of commissions I should open when I return, or ponder what upgrades I could do to my workflow and art style. I'm there. In the shadows. Plotting. Probably looking a lot less cool than I feel.

I swear this art school is tougher than my full time job at an animation studio used to be. Didn't even have time to make Pride Art, even though I had a cool piece in mind, considering I've come a long way since last year and much more confident in my identity!
I probably won't be able to offer commissions for a while, there is the semester project to work on, and I need at least a LITTLE bit of time to relax...

I felt like my previous Journal might have been a bit confusing in relation to my commission status.
Though, uh, if you are a watcher that just clicked on this it's a pretty underwhelming journal so let me at least write something personal, I guess.
Next semester I'll finally be properly educated in Illustration! I have survived the design courses and can now finally specialize, woo!

I was planning to open Commission Slots in the winter break, but I am in severe need of some actual rest before the final project phase of the semester.

I'm currently wrapping up the last few commissions before I'm closing them for the first time. It has been not quite a year since I joined FA, and I did so with three intentions: To improve my art, to explore my Nonbinary Idendity and to reconnect with a hobby that I had given up on years ago.
All three have gone great.

First of all, I'm really happy to see some of you really liking my fursona, my personal pics often get more favs than my commissions which I think means some of you are here for them and that's really cool :D
The specifics of my Idendity are still evolving but the big questions seem answered for now. I was never uncomfortable, but now I'm genuinely happy with myself. (My IRL life has also gone amazing this year despite the global circumstances) As such, I want to reveal a bit more personal information in my profile description.

I feel like I'm back to truly enjoying drawing random anthro characters. About ten years ago, when I decided that I wanted to pursue a professional art career, I had given up on drawing canines because it was generally frowned upon - but I never quite had enough ideas to draw human characters as a hobby so I just... Drew a lot less. Now I'm doing both, I have two seperate artists identities, one for my professional career, and this more or less secret one for my hobby drawings.

And despite only doing this as a hobby, I feel like my art has improved massively over the last couple of months, to the point I sometimes felt guilty when I started delivering commissions that looked different from what I had uploaded before.
I want to continue to use this hobby to push my art skills - and next I want to tackle something I've been dreading forever, which is backgrounds.
We're currently learning how to properly construct scenes with the correct perspective and stuff at school and I want to use that chance to practice it here. Offering it as commissions seems daunting though, It's so much more work than working with a simple background, which is why I don't want to offer it until I have some practice.
Instead I'm considering going into YCHs where I already have the fully rendered background pre-made.

I also want to open the regular bust and icon commissions again, but considering how busy this semester is, I'll probably only be able to do it during the breaks or with limited slots.

Commission Policies:

- I'll draw any species!

- I'll send you a sketch stage and a final stage. At both stages you may suggest edits however you like.

- You can pay me earliest after we agreed what the commission is, at latest after I've sent you the sketch. I wont finish the picture until I have the money.

- I'll upload the image to my Drive first. Make sure to save it, because I'll delete it eventually!

- If I have deleted the image from my drive and you forgot to save it, drop me a note and I'll get it for you.

- I will only upload the commission to my gallery once you have seen the final piece and permitted me to do so

- You MAY reupload art I made for you in your own gallery as long as you link back to me.

- You are not required to link back to me when you use my icon somewhere, or use the art in any way that it was intended for (like posting a ref sheet in a Roleplay forum or something) even though it's greatly appreciated!
