Cleaning up my Gallery
General | Posted 2 years agoIn accordance with the new changes to FA Upload Policy Section 2.7 I have been removing certain pictures in my gallery and scraps folders.
I do not believe any of my artwork violates the new policies, however the updated policy allows the enforcing moderators to exert a very wide margin of arbitrary judgment and so I have proactively removed the most potentially controversial pieces to minimize risk of being flagged for violations.
If anybody sees an existing upload in my galleries and scraps folders that may still pose a risk of being flagged for violation of the policy updates, please let me know and I will take it down. Fortunately none of this content will be permanently gone as there are alternate locations to view my artwork, and will either be provided in the comment descriptions or you may PM me.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

General | Posted 3 years agoTHANK YOU EVERYBODY WHO ASKED ME FOR A COMMISSION, it wasn't easy trying to choose which ones I would and wouldn't draw. If I had the time I would have gladly accepted them all.
I have finished reviewing all the commission requests and picked the ones I will draw. If for whatever reason any of the selected commissioners decide to cancel out, I will make another selection among the submissions and notify that commissioner.
Just to reiterate, here is what I plan to do next for each commissioner:
-I will message you confirming whether or not I have selected your commission.
-For those selected, I will notify you when I begin working on your commission
-I will deliver a preliminary composition sketch showing the basic layout of the drawing. This is where your feedback is most effective in offering changes/suggestions to make the commission more to your liking. The earlier the adjustments are made, the better. If you ask for changes in the later stages of the drawing, they will cost additional money depending on the change.
-Once the composition sketch is agreed upon, then I will ask for payment. I prefer taking payment all at once upon finalizing the composition sketch but if you wish to split the payment, that is possible too. However, due to Paypal taking a larger percentage cut on smaller transactions, split payments will cost more than one single payment.
-If you asked for a more complex commission, I will periodically update you with notes showing work in progress to ensure I am not missing out on anything important you wanted to see in the drawing.
-commissions involving my OC or fan characters usually interest me more.

Just to make sure you don't think I left everybody in the dark, I am currently going through and reviewing all the notes for commissions people submitted to me. Please be patient as I didn't really have much time during the weekday to go over them with proper attention until now.
In the meantime, I am still open, you may still send me commission notes if you haven't already, but I am planning to announce which commissions I picked by the end of Sunday.

General | Posted 3 years agoI know I have been dragging my foot on this for WAY too long but finally I am opening for three commission slots. (Maybe 4 if I got the bandwidth). Keep in mind between now and March 1st I will be revising my prices due to Paypal taking an increased cut of transactions, but should be finalized by the time I open. New Home
General | Posted 3 years agoI found a new place to live and finally got myself situated. Just a few things left to unpack and then I can (hopefully) get back into drawing art once again. It's been a pretty turbulent couple of months but I think I've got a handle on things now.

So here's my list of current projects I have on the backburner in no particular order. Feel free to comment on what interests you so I can get a feel for what I might want to prioritize:
A. Mentally Charmed Comic - Attempt to continue without collab artist to try and finish my original story idea, while trying to emulate style and humor.
B. Amy / Blaze (herm) - Frame by frame 1080p animation loop, 2 keyframe sketches done
C. Zelda / Moblin Link - Long runtime pixel animation, 1 idle loop animation done
D. Iron Boy / Kiwi (Kirlia) - hi-res pixel animation, 1 animation loop sketch developed
E. Rouge / Tails - Short game pixel animation idea, still trying to find time to learn Game Maker Studio 2
F. More totem Lucario stuff? Nothing drawn, but had a few ideas ever since Legends Arceus introduced Alpha pokemon.
G. Original character stuff: Dale, Valerie, Reannah, Lemonade, Bee, etc.

The Paypal problem
General | Posted 4 years agoHey guys, I don't know if you've heard, but with the recent changes in Paypal and USA tax rules, now annual earnings as low as $600 USD have to be reported for tax, even worse, Paypal has been taking bigger and bigger cuts of every commission I earn. I know one workaround I've been hesitant to implement was having people send payment as "gifts" to avoid Paypal taking a hefty cut of the money, but now even those transactions are going to be scrutinized. I really want to find a better alternative to paypal for payments, does anybody have any suggestions? If I do have to continue using paypal, I'm going to have to hike my commission prices by quite a bit.

About Upcoming Commissions

I've been quiet about it for two months or so because there's been a lot of big changes going on in my day job that will affect how much free time and when I can do art once those changes are complete.
My goal for now is to open for commissions again by the end of this month, hopefully no later than August 28th or 29th.
I will have about 5 or 6 slots I will open for (plus the 1 or 2 that I still owe some people) and this time those commissions can be of any type the commissioner asks for.
My question to you guys is how do you think I should do the selection process? I've normally done them on a first-come-first-serve basis, but I understand that may not be fair to those people that can't sit at their computers and message me on the same hour I open.
An idea I had was to do a sort of raffle draw where I would collect the names of the people commenting on the commission journal post after a day or two, and then randomly draw names for the commission slots.

General | Posted 6 years agoSorry I've been keeping in the dark about commissions. Thankfully the life problems that were keeping me from doing art has passed. Unfortunately now we're about to hit holiday season and despite having the means to continue working on commissions, my free time to do so will be almost completely gone until the holidays have passed. If any of my commissioners no longer wish to have me do their commission because of these extensive delays, simply let me know and I can remove you from the list without any issue.

About the next pokemon game
General | Posted 6 years agoIf you pre-ordered pokemon Sword or Shield, you might want to reconsider, or at the very least wait until the game actually releases to see what its like first. There are a lot of leaks recently showing a large number (over half) of all currently existing pokemon being cut from the new game among other things. They're unconfirmed but Gamefreak has been very unusually tight-lipped about this game and instead of releasing official info, they're going after everyone involved in those leaks. Not exactly something that paints the game development in a good light...

General | Posted 6 years agoYes, I know its been too long, but I'm finally ready to take more commissions. If you are interested please read this journal carefully!

- I will be accepting commissions beginning Sunday, June 30 at 1900 PST. I will post another journal at that time to remind everybody when I'm officially open.
- There is a limited number of slots available for each type of commission, and I will accept commissions on a first-come first-serve basis (slot availability explained in detail at the bottom)
- To request a commission slot, please send me a note containing ALL of the following:
> The type of commission you want
> A description of what you want drawn
> Links to references in case there are specific unique characters or scenes involved
- Upon receiving your note, I will reply within 24 hrs giving you a price quote and feedback
- Do not worry about losing a potential commission slot while sending notes back and forth discussing price and drawing details, it is held until a final price is agreed upon.
