Hi everyone! Yes after an unintentional unannounced hiatus this Squirrely Butt is still alive and flourishing! With the exception of today's flood of posting my backlog of images, I hadn't posted any art in 3 years and been over a year since I commissioned anything new, plus I've been very bad with with posting journals. I've been around lurking the site and still been in touch with my closer furry friends irl, but other than that I've been a bit away from the fandom. Even Furpocalypse 2019 and Anthro New England 2020 I didn't post about. Alot of this contributed to home searching in 2018, which lead to buying a plot of land at the end of that year, house finished being built in during the summer of 2019, new car during the fall of that year. And then of course COVID in 2020. Thankfully and I didn't get it and it didn't really greatly affect our careers, though of course during that time we practically only left our homes for work and back, maybe a couple restaurant date nights here and there when things were calm but that's about it. Our wedding was originally going to be planned for October of 2020 but obviously due to the pandemic we had to push it to August of 2021. Just 3 more months away!!

Oh and also got a new furry daughter early March of this year begin our gay suburban family, our Millie is a part Jack Russell Terrier and part Pug who will be turning 6 months in a couple of days. ^w^

So yup, those are the cliffnotes version of what occurred in the last few years. As for what's to come I'm definitely looking forward to going back to furry cons once they open up again to catch-up with many familiar faces as well as meeting new people. Hi everyone, I had just got finished with uploading my backlog of images from the past year. This 2017 has been really busy among other things and I've been very bad with updating you all and such. So no I'm not dead, I'm still here, I never left the fandom, just been a very inactive watcher. Though this weekend I'll be arriving at this year's Furpocalypse with my fiancé as well as . Unfortunate we won't be arriving until Friday night but we'll be there throughout the rest of the weekend. I definitely can't wait since I haven't gone to any furry conventions or meet-ups since last year so I'm eager to get back in the grove. This femboy squirrely butt turned 30 last September and I need to enjoy my youth like I'm in my 20's again. At least I'm lucky enough to still have the bodytype of a 21 year-old. :P

Yep, I turned 29 today, one more year till the big 30. Best thing is I don't feel or act like that age at all, it's just a number.

Also there's been quite a bit of updates since my trip to the Bahamas and I have quite a bit of artwork to upload. I'll admit I've been a HORRIBLE furry for not keeping up with Furaffinity or my Telegram. Hopefully I'll have the time a patience to get re-integrated into the fandom online again, and not just at cons. I'll be back. :P

Hi all. So Anthro New England is coming up next weekend, sooner than I have anticipated. So I do have a hotel room reserved for Friday night and Saturday night at the Hyatt in Cambridge. So Right now my group has 4 people and I'm looking to add 2 more people to join us to bring the cost down cheaper. It would be a total of $70 if we have 5 people, and $60 if we have 6. So this is a shout out for anyone that may have had previous hotel plans get cut for some reason or anyone that decides to come to the con at the last minute. So Just a shout out for potential roommates to hang with this squirrely butt! >3<

So yeah, title explains itself, it's been sometime since I've been active on FA or on my furry Skype account. Alot of it in the past 4 months has mostly been due to my new job and new home in Newton. http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/7004002/ The only real exception was attending the Furpocalypse con in CT over Halloween weekend.

There were some moments where I would pop in and do an upload spree of the few pieces of art I received this year and whatnot, but overall I've mostly just overall fell behind alot that's been going on. So as 2016 is coming around the corner, I'm going to try to make being a more active squirrel one of my new year's resolution. A couple days ago one of my good furry friends forced me to get off my butt and finally make a Telegram account. And low and behold it turns out that's where alot of furries migrated to for chatting, I didn't realize that alot of furs migrated over to that new messaging program until recently. So yeah. In due time I'll upload what's remaining of the art I obtained in 2015 and I'll catch up with thanking who's ever faved my art and/or watched my page, probably comment more on journals and art submissions and such. Plus this coming January I plan on attending ANE right here in the greater Boston area, totally cannot wait till that weekend comes along.

That's right, it's after midnight so now it's officially my Birthday!!! I'm now a good 28 years young. Best of all, I still physically and mentally feel alot younger. Granted I may only have 2 years left of living life in my 20s, but if I have the body type of someone that's 19-24 years of age, it doesn't really matter. So all you furs going "OMG I'M 22, I'M TOO OLD, I DON'T WANNA LIVE ANYMORE", you all have a long long ways to go!! Now please excuse me while I sleep off the alcohol! XP

Alright so now that the upload spree is finished with all the art I obtained in 2015, AND photos of my suit that I got back in late February, I've gained lots of faves and a bit of new watchers. If I haven't thanked you individually yet, thank you all so very very much!!! So now I guess it's time to let you all know what's been going on this past summer and what the next 2 or 3 weeks lie ahead.

So as you may or may not know, I earned my Master's degree in Forensic Sciences back in September 2014. Yet after a whole year since then, like many many millennials, I wasn't able to find any dream job related to my major. Thus for job security, I was still working as a pharmacy tech, same job for these past 9 years....with the last 3 of those years being at the same retail location in central Mass. I've been constantly moving back and forth between my parents home and my boyfriend's apartment during this time, firstly because my grad school was in Boston, and secondly because traveling back and forth to central and eastern MA everyday was too costly. Not to mention I didn't have an affordable hourly wage in which I could move in with him. I mean yeah I could've moved in with him right out of grad school with him offering to pay my rent and utilities until I got a better job, but I'm too much of a prideful person and I wanted to wait till I got a much better job with a salary to afford rent and monthly payments, and then some. So I've been job hunting on my days off work for both in the forensic industry because of my major and the pharmaceutical industry because of my experience.

Now to fast forward to July, with me being a total dumbass for not realizing this sooner, I came upon a job listing for a clinical support specialist at an infusion care pharmacy in eastern Mass. And after looking further, it turns out that back in January of 2014, this company was bought by the company I work for. So I was able to apply through the company's internal webpage. And after 2 interviews and salary negotiations between the different branches, I was offered the job. My last day at work at the retail pharmacy was last Tuesday and I'm currently on my last day of my mini 5 day vacation before I start my new career tomorrow. This may be far from my dream job, but it's definitely a good backup with lots of potential to go up in the rankings.

And as for the new home part, no it's not just me moving into my boyfriend's apartment in the Brighton area of Boston MA, it's actually BETTER. Now that I got the position with the much desired salary and his family wanting him to get a spacier place now that I could afford my part of the rent, after 2 years of being in the one-bedroom apartment it was time for an living space upgrade!! Long story short, we were able to find an amazing new home, the entire 3rd floor of a multi-family Victorian home in Newton, just a town west of the city. A three-bedroom floor plan, a kitchen with lots of stainless steel appliances, new floor carpet and windows, LOTS of storage space, and free electricity and water included. And best of all the rent was the lowest out of all other other places we looked at. All the other homes, and even two-bedroom apartment complexes for that matter, were at least $2,500 a month while this place was significantly lower. We were able to present ourselves as the most responsible gay couple out there and we were able to be accepted to sign the lease to rent this amazing home. We already have the keys and a bunch of our things at the new house, but since we have the other apartment for another 2 months (due to lease breaking terms), we're constantly moving things back and forth to the new place. Once the movers finally come mid September to move the furniture, we'll finally have everything settled in our fancy new home in Newton. This squirrel and snow leopard are indeed truly happy and proud for what we were able to accomplish and now we start the next chapter of our lives, hopefully the last chapter before a ring is placed on my finger. <3 <3

TLDR Version: I finally got a new job, technically an internal transfer, and me and my boyfriend signed a lease for a new home, thus becoming Newton residents.

Still TLDR Version: NEW JOB AND NEW HOME!!!!

I know I've been horrible, and I mean absolutely horrible for not updating and uploading as much as I should these last 4 months, but I'm absolutely ecstatic that marriage equality has finally been achieved throughout all of US. Now that anyone of the GLBT community can marry whoever non-relative individual they like and travel anywhere in the country and have their union recognized. As a resident of MA, being in the state where same-sex marriage was first legalised, it took 11 years to finally reach the national level. About damn time I say. And though we still have a ways to go for full equality for the GLBT community, especially in the South and Midwest, it's definitely a great start to progress so I'll still be praising this amazing day!!! X3

THAT'S RIGHT!!!! Yesterday at this con I finally received my fursuit from the amazing  gel aka Omg Pineapples, and Anthro New England was my debut premier for it!!! Head, Gloves, my big bushy fluffy tail, a d occasional feet. So yeah check me out if your at the con, I'll definitely be in the fursuit parade and all around the Hyatt. Pics sometime later next week. Hello there, so me and  Reimaru-Kun originally had a group of 6 for our hotel room at ANE in Cambridge MA next weekend. Unfortunately 2 of those had to bail so now we have 4, so I'm out here checking to see if a few of you are still interested in attending ANE and actively looking for a room. Preference goes to people we already know irl, but if that doesn't fan out we're able to take in new people.......providing they are able to pay their equal share of the room, have good hygiene, and are fun to hang around with. The max number of individuals we're willing to have staying in our room is 8, so we're only taking up to 4. We're checking in Thursday evening and we're leaving Sunday so the fee would be for 3 nights. Here's what the pricing would be like per person for all 3 nights.

Yes, the supposed holiday known as Valentine's Day throughout most of the world. But NOT here in Massachusetts!!!!!. Yep that's right, by many in the community of the state, Valentine's Day was unofficially moved to February 13th for the year 2015. Me and the snow leopard made certain of this and we got to go to Capital Grille last night.

But now onto what this day today means in this state. As of this late afternoon, this year's February 14th was renamed to Absolutely Do Not Ever Leave The House Because Of The Snowstorm Day!!!!!!!. It's such a marvelous occasion that barely every comes, that the people of Mass get to celebrate this holiday for the entire weekend!! Happy Winter Holidays everyone!!!!! -x-

Well tonight's the night, the Patriots are back in the Superbowl hoping to take back the championship title that the Seahawks took last year! Me and are definitely going out somewhere to watch this event, it's not that often that the Pats make it to the Superbowl. And now that Rei is into football a bit more now, I just can't wait for the amazing time together.......as long as the Pats win! Just look, I changed the "featured submission" image on my FA page just for this occurrence! XP

Hi everyone, this femboy squirrely butt is here to finally give a quick update of what's been going on lately. As some of you may or may not know, this past August I finally finished my thesis project and the following month my work has been published and I've officially obtained my Master's of Science degree in Forensics. So for the past 4 months I have been more than qualified to be at least an accredited crime scene investigator. Yes, furries CAN accomplish academic achievements like these. -3-


Anyways, as much as this M.S. degree is awarding, unfortunately I haven't been able to obtain a full-time career from it as of yet. As much as I love this subject and devoted 8 years of undergraduate and graduate studies for this major, part of me is having some regrets choosing to go towards this path because of how little job opportunities there are in both public and private sector and thus making it a very competitive work field. At the age of 27, while I may be better off than many many others my age, it's not where I currently want to be in life. Especially since I invested so much time and finances towards this degree. But I'm still staying optimistic and applying to many different positions and maybe I'll obtain a slightly different career that, despite not being what I originally majored in, may open new doors to a completely different career path and turn my life 180 degrees for the better. Though in the mean time at least I have my back up by maintaining the job that I've held on to for 9 years, working as a Pharmacy Tech. Working full-time hours while still managing to have 3 day weekends almost every weekend, on top of having benefits and really cheap and beneficial health insurance for someone in their late 20s. It's ALOT better than lots of other students either being unemployed out of college or taking on minimum wage part-time jobs with no benefits.


Anyways, in addition to work draining my energy on top of the winter months pretty much making me hibernate when it comes to maintaining an upbeat social life, I will admit there is one hobby that I ended up taking up regularly.....which could be one of the reasons why you haven't seen me commission artwork like I used to. So towards the middle of November after Furpocalypse, all I was doing was work, career searching, and spending quality time with the mate during the greater amount of free time I had since I finished grad school. I felt that to make me more happier and energetic I needed to take up another hobby during my downtime. As much as I love the furry fandom and have no intentions what so ever to entirely abandon it (same goes for my love for Anime and Video Games), I needed something that would actually force me to go out and participate in an activity with a friendly community. I then remembered my undergraduate school days where I used to play poker on a regular basis, whether with friends in dormitory living rooms or traveling to charity tourneys here and there. Though once I got accepted to my Master's degree program back in 2010, I essential had to abandon that in order to do well in my courses and such. But now that I've graduated I had much more free time to get back into playing regularly. After a quick search online for the best places to play poker in Massachusetts, I was surprised to find out that there are indeed poker leagues that holds tourneys almost every day of the week. Without going into details of how well you have to do in a month, the league also holds regional-wide monthly tourneys for top scorers and the ultimate season ending tourneys every 6 months. And participating each game is only $20 and it comes with free buffet food. Whether I win or lose, I just love going to have a good time and have fun. I actually won a poker tourney at my 3rd visit so I at least showed that I may be an amateur but I know what I'm doing!! Also to add to the fact, despite that the vast majority of players are older than 40 and I'm usually one of the youngest ones there, this poker community for the most part is very GLBT friendly and they are more than supportive of my sexuality and relationship, something that I never thought I'd find there. I thought that many would be bigoted rednecks and I'd have to hid my true self in order to have fun playing poker, I'm glad I was completely wrong. So yeah, you could see that a good portion of my funds has been going to these as opposed to commissioning artwork, me maintaining my activity in both fandoms.....though I do plan on getting more stuff once I find the right artists or deals.....or both! X3


One last thing, me, my love and one of his best friends . Finally have our plans for this coming Anthro New England, which is taking place at the Hyatt in Cambridge from 2/27-3/1. We already have our hotel booked and we hope to have 3-5 others join us to reduce the room funds for all of us. So if any of you are undecided because you aren't sure you'll find a room, or are planning to go but still looking for space, please feel free to contact us so we can let you know details and such. Just remember good hygiene is an absolute must. The reason I really excited for this con is not just because I have high hopes for ANE being a very successfully Northeastern furcon, but I hope my partial fursuit of my squirrely fursona would be ready by then, and I'll be able to debut it right there. That's right, you heard me, after being an active member of the furry community for 4 years, I'm finally obtaining a fursuit!!!! And what's better is that it's being made by  omgpineapples aka  gel , who is probably my favorite fursuit designer!!! So yeah, while I contributed some of the funds to help out, this is essentially my birthday and christmas present from Reimaru since he knew I've wanted one for quite sometime and knew I was watching for when designers would open for commissions. That and I got us a PS4 which he was so surprised and excited about! So yeah, in the next few weeks I'll update you on a more concrete status of when my partial would be ready. Other than that I hope you all haven't forgotten about this squirrely butt and I would love to reconnect with all of you!!!! ^W^
