Hi there everyone, this is just me popping in to wish all you furries a Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah, a Cheery Kwanza, an Festive Festivus, or whatever joyous day you're all celebrating!!! I know it's almost seems like I vanished from the internet ever since Halloween, when Furpocalypse took place, it's just that so much has been going on these past two months with work, the continual better career search, other hobbies, and preparing for the holidays. That and to add to the fact that when I had time to want to post updates, FA was either really slow, under going maintenance, or dealing with the whole Yiffyleaks fiasco, I just wanted to wait till the site get's back to it's regular self with it's normal processing speed again. Assuming that the site is fully back up and running again this week, I do have a good amount to upload, which I hope to do sometime tomorrow or the next day.

I said this last year but Rei's sickness got in the way of most of the fun....especially for him. So since this is the start of my paid vacation, I'm making DAMNED sure that I make the most out of this convention!!! O_O

Why hello everyone. I know fully well that I haven't been really active on FA or on Skype lately. To be honest I don't have much of an excuse as to why I wasn't around. As some of you may or may not know, for my full-time job I'm an assistant supervisor of pharmacy technicians at one of the busiest pharmacies in central MA, so I'm essentially an insurance problem solver and a legal drug dealer. Also this past August I recently finished graduate school after 4 long years of grueling assignments and studying, finally obtained my Master's of Science degree in Forensics. Thankfully since I've been at this particular store for quite some time I was still able to maintain my ~40 hour work week schedule so I have 3-day weekends almost every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. So.......here's the thing.......ever since my trip to Ireland late August/September and my birthday, the past month and a half I've been essentially vegging out and mostly sleeping and doing nothing during my time off of work. This is my very first year in a LOOOOONG time in which I have no school, no classes, no exams, no papers, etc. I'm not sure if any of you post-graduates experienced this, but since my job is my only form of work and my 3-day weekends are not dedicate to school work anymore, I've just been exhausted over those days, and by the time I'm fully recovered, my pharmacy work week is starting again. Z_Z



If you are wondering yes I have also been on the career search as well and applied to more positions that are more related to my major. Though at the same time the job market is still not that great and it's hard for college graduates of all kinds to get into positions related to their field due to lack of "experience". And since I already been a pharmacy tech ever since I was 18 and I've been working full-time for 2 years, the best thing to do is to hold on to it until something much better comes along. -X-



Now to brighten up my mood, I only have one more week until I start my OTHER paid vacation from work. I will be off from October 30th all the way into November 8th. And what a better way to start it off with one of my favorite furry cons each year. This Halloween weekend me and the boyfriend will be at Furpocalypse, the con formally known as FurFright. Words cannot describe how much I am anticipating this con, it's what I REALLY need to be rejuvenated and incorporated into the furry fandom again, both in real life and online. I'm definitely using this opportunity to catch up with as many old friends as possible as well as associating with folks that I haven't met in person before. And as always I'm more than open to meeting others and making new furry friends anywhere. Once the 30th comes along I'll be as happy as ever and I'll make damn certain that this squirrely femboy has the greatest Halloween celebration ever!!!!! *W*


So yeah, TL;DR version: Finished graduate school, my full-time job makes me exhausted and not as active online, vacation coming in a week, and I cannot wait till Furpocalypse arrives. Yep 9/5 is the day of this squirrely butt's b-day. So after seeing it coming for so long, I'm now 27 years young. Nope I'm not going to be like the 90% of furs that complain about being too old. "OMG I TURNED 20, I'M GETTING MUCH OLDER, I DUN LIKE THIS, I SAD". Bitch please you can't even drink yet and you expect me not to be sassy about you complaining about your juvenile age?? Anyways I will say I extremely appreciate the type of body and health that I have at this age. Despite having alot accomplished in life, I still look young and feel young. For me, 27 is the new 22, so expect me to enjoy the night away and finally live the way I want to live now that I'm finally out of grad school.



Now excuuuuse me while my man takes this youth out to Legal Seafoods to get me some strawberry sangrias and bake stuffed lobster!!! *w*

Yep I've been back in the US for about a few hours. And in a few more hours I'll be another year older. I'm still not used to the timezone differences so I'm probably going to be spending the rest of tonight and early tomorrow morning sleeping. I'll make sure to put up an official birthday journal. And wait to touch bases with everyone again. Hehehe. ^w^

Hello all!!! Now that I have some time to myself tonight without being overly tired, I'm able to poke up on here. Doing a submission and journal clean up so it's not too strenuous to do when I get back Thursday afternoon. As much as I'll be bummed about leaving, I cannot wait to get back in the states to spend lots of quality time with  reimaru-kun for the last few days of my long awaited vacation away from work. Anyways if you're wondering about my exact location, I'm currently in Killarney, which is in Kerry county. It's essentially Southwestern Ireland, and my goodness it's absolutely wonderful. The scenery around here is beyond words. Hello there everyone! Just giving a quick I'm not dead yet journal. To be honest, even though I've been completely done with grad school for about 3 weeks (official summer graduation and degree obtainment isn't till mid September), work at the pharmacy has been MUCH rougher this past month and all I wanted to do was pass-out and spend quality time with  reimaru-kun on my Thu-Sat weekends. Do have a bit to still upload and I still have a few images on the way. Once the middle of next month comes along, I'm sure I'll be going on a bit of a spree to get more pics of this squirrely butt.



Now having said that, I will have to inform you all that I will be away on my family vacation to Ireland. I'll be leaving Tuesday evening on 8/27 and I won't be getting back till Thursday early afternoon on 9/4. The hotel may have internet access to it, but obviously my time online is going to be VERY limited. And also because no one in my family knows about me being a furry, I will NOT be on my furry skype screenname (mykul.riles) during my time in Ireland. I do have steam as a messenger with the screenname "Squirrely Butt" , but my human real life self skype screenname I'll only be giving out to my close friends that I do know in real life. If you know me in person and what my other skype screenname, I'll be more than happy to note you it. So I guess you could say that this will be my first ever long break away from FA, except instead of being emo and ragequitting the furry fandom, I will be out of the country. This is my very first time I have ever been Europe, or any other continent outside of North America in almost 27 years of my life (birthday is Friday September 5th, hint HINT ;3 ). So I cannot wait to finally travel to the country where half of my heritage comes from.

I will be online a bit more on Monday evening and Tuesday morning, but after that contact with me will be very limited until Thursday of next week. I'm going to miss all of you fuzz balls! -3-

Whelp this is it! As of now, it will be 13 hours until I present my thesis to my professors and students of my graduate school program here in Boston. With the exception of format review by the main university administrative offices, I'm done with the paper already. All that would be left after Friday is officially submitting the format online and submitting the required documents in person this coming Monday. After 4 years of excitement, inspiration, and hardships, it still hasn't hit me yet that I'm so very very close to finishing grad school and finally obtaining my Master's of Science degree. Wish me all luck cause I will most certainly need it.


And for all of those going to Maltese Fur Con right here in Boston tomorrow, I will be sure to join you all Friday night. You furries better make the best of it cause this will be my celebration night. Buying me drinks would be a suggested wonderful gift to me for finishing my thesis and being done with my presentation. ;3

Hey every one, just a quick post just to remind you all that I'm still around and I have not abandoned FA or the Furry fandom by any means. While most summers are full of fun and excitement mine has been nothing but studying for the competency exam for the degree requirements and my thesis that I've been working on for over a year. After starting the Master's of Science program in Forensic Science (think CSI and Sunglasses) back in the fall of 2010, I'm finally in my last semester. While I passed the exam mid-june, my thesis is now the very last thing that needs to be accomplished and assuming all goes well with the paper and presentation, I will finally obtain my M.S. degree. I've invested ALOT to achieve this goal and while it may have taken longer than expected due to work and academic setbacks a couple years back, it was much better for me to be patient and work slowly through the last few semesters than to rush it and risk not getting my degree at all. Trust me, maintaining college while working full time is freaking rough!!!. Tonight is my main procrastination night before I go into full overdrive mode. I'm like 97% done with all my thesis work and all that's left is preparing my presentation next Friday and cleaning up the paper for submission the following Monday. Then I will FINALLY have alot more free time to be social both online and in person. I hope to do lots and lots of traveling and hanging out with friends for the remainder of weekends of 2014. So yeah wish this squirrely butt lots of luck, I'm totally going to need it!!!

Welp because of hurricane Arthur wreaking havoc in the East Coast and MA is going to be dealt with heavy downpours and wind, all the 4th of July festivities in Boston has been moved to today. So me and my boyfriend are on our way to the Charles River for a nice holiday date for us two, waiting for the fireworks followed by a late night dinner. For all you furries in Pittsburgh for Anthrocon, hope you all have a blast, hope me and Rei will be able to join you all someday. As for everyone else in the US, hope you all have a great holiday weekend full of fun and excitement. >3<

Why? Because thesis presentations for my graduate school program falls on that day. The absolute last thing I have to do in order to obtain my Master's of Science degree in Forensics. There are 13 grad school students in total and the presentations last from 10am all the way to 5pm, and that's assuming no body goes over limit with the powerpoint slides or fellow students asking too many questions about what they presented. Unfortunately but understandably, no matter when you are presenting, all students have to watch everyone's presentation. The worst part of it all, I was selected to be the first one to present my thesis, meaning after I start at 10:00 am and finish at 10:30 am, I still have to waste 6 and 1/2 hours to watch everyone else's thesis presentations in one whole day!!!!

I will be needing lots and LOTS of hugs and booze when I finally arrive Friday evening/night! X____X

Hey everyone. I'm sorry for not keeping up with all of you and not really posting around here. I know it may have seemed that I was on an unannounced hiatus. A few of you probably already knows why but just to remind you all. If everything goes relatively well and nothing has been screwed up, this will be my last semester of graduate school and I'll finally obtain my Master's of Science degree in Forensics. So yes, so after all my investment in this academic program, there are many things on the line here and failure would be the absolute worst possible thing in my life right now. So I really have to make sure everything I've been doing for the months of June and July are as close to perfect as possible in order to ensure my summer graduation. And keep in mind that I'm also doing all this while maintaining my full-time job as a pharmacy tech. So hence that's why I've been away from FA and not really talkative on messengers. Though for the next few days I do have a bit of a grace period so I will be a bit more active here. I do have a bit of a backlog of images to upload and there's a couple of things that I'm waiting on. I won't be uploading them all at once though since that's tedious to upload and overwhelming to put multiple images in people's watch submissions. So yeah, please welcome this squirrely with lots of praise, pets, and hugs, I'm REALLY gonna be needing them for this super busy summer.



So also in other news for all you local Massachusetts furries, or possibly even New Englanders. Boston's pride parade and festive is tomorrow morning and lasts up to the evening. Me, my boyfriend  Reimaru-kun and his close friend  LunarNight are going to be attending and would LOVE to meet up with other furs in the area that day. I noticed today that there has been a bit of influx of journals indicating whether or not they RP, with detailed reasons as to why or why they do not RP. Or why they RP with some people and not others. I'd be more than happy to talk more briefly about my RP status via skype or steam. But for the most part, if any of you wonder if I, Mykul O. Riles the femboy squirrely, rps with anyone within the furry fandom, this is my response.

Bleph!!!!!! ARRRRR EHHHHHH!!!!!!

So after taking my laptop to MicroCenter in Cambridge, it was suggested the laptop did indeed just needed a new screen, which they had in stock and was willing to replace and repair it for a small fee. If this Plan A didn't work then I'd unfortunately had to submit my laptop for a full diagnostics exam which would take approximately a week due to the current workload they have. And after about an hour of waiting for the new screen to be installed, my laptop came out good as new. So yeah, I got mine back way sooner than expected, so yay!!! >3<

As to what the issue was, since we were able to take back the old screen, my boyfriend noticed a piece of one of the black chips on the circuit-board was partially cracked off. Just goes to show that even the tiniest issue on a circuit-board can cause massive problems to technological items! -3-

Also fyi, I do have a good amount of art to be loaded up, I know I've been behind on uploading the art I received to my gallery. No I will NOT do a mass flood like what some other users on FA do, I prefer spreading my uploads out. So keep your eye out for more images of this squirrely butt, I assure you there are a few that you will most surely like. *w*

Welp my laptop screen is acting all freaky now and its at the point where even slitghtly adjusting the positioning doesn't help. Essentially you'll see active colors but not a clear image, just alot of bright pixelated lines. So yeah I'm gonna be getting it checked out and hoefully it's nothing too serious. If it's just a screen issue then fine I can cope with that. But anything more than that is gonna be a huge bitch. Yes I do have a backup hard drive and I have my most resent graduate school thesis work on a usb flash drive, but it will still be a pain to transfer all my stuff from my current laptop to another. I just pray that it's really only the screen.

I'll still have my droid to check out updates if it turns out access to a computer will be longer than expected, but obviously I won't be online much. Hopefully this will just be a quick fix for this squirrely. -x-

AHHHHHH BOY, it took me plenty of hours to go through my watch list to un-watch several inactive pages. All in all, I'd say I saw I removed approximately 50 profiles since they were either abandoned more than 6 months ago without any updates, either had their entire gallery wiped out, or one of the main insta-unwatch reasons.....having a "Voluntarily Disabled Access" userpage. In other words, furs that for one reason or another, prevents anyone and everyone from viewing their profile......even though if you type in /journal/ /gallery/ /etc./ in the web-browser, you can still view other parts of their gallery. I mean seriously????? What's the point of disabling access to your page??? If you're going to move accounts, move websites, or even leave the fandom entirely (and even that reason I don't get why someone would just ragequit something like that....unless they weren't true furries to begin with), at least make a notification for it and move on. Abandoning a site and blocking everyone from viewing your page, a type of action completely outta left field and making me wonder what the heck happened and why would one just suddenly leave like that without any explanation to anyone, it just says to me that you're a coward that can't face simple first world problems. Man I wish there was a way FA would show on your buddy list which profiles are VDA's since it would make it MUCH easier to unwatch those pages....would be saving alot more time.

Once I have another long batch of work-free days, I might make another effort to watch more profiles to make up for the ones I've unwatched. If you read this and if any of you thinks I've unwatched you in error, PLEASE let me know so I could re-add you. Hope all is well for all you fuzzy butts! >3<

Holy damn, I knew I was accumulating watchers over the past weekend due to a few commissions that I posted, getting more than 10 watchers in less than 24 hours, etc. But wow I did not realize until just now that I reached 500 watchers!!! When it comes to this gain on this website, I'm really flabbergasted right now. Thank you all sooooooo sooooo much for any and all of you for watching this page of this squirrely femboy!!! I'm really flattered by each and everyone of you, it makes me feel guilty for not coming up with some contest about this. I bet alot of you had just a normal Valentine's day with nothing too important or spectacular during the morning and the afternoon, just anticipating the evening. Whether it's going out on a date with that special someone, or going out to the club for all the single girls and guys our there, or even just waiting for +50% deals on candy or just other random dumb things from CVS. Well, this Valentine's morning/afternoon I was NOT looking forward to. It has nothing to do with my boyfriend  reimaru-kun , our love is 3 years strong and counting. No, it was far worse.


I HAD TO TAKE THE COMPETENCY EXAM FOR MY GRADUATE COLLEGE PROGRAM!!!! That's right, the only exam I need to take in my college career, the one of two things that's left in the way between me, and my Master's Degree in Forensics, and the exam I had to take for the 3rd time in a row in hopes to get at least a score of 80%, just HAPPENED to be on the day I usually anticipate with my love. So yeah, think of it as the equivalent of the bar exams for attorneys, expect it's school specific to my major. It just HAD to fall on Valentine's Day!!! DX

So yeah, over the past 2 weeks I haven't really been active in the fandom solely to prepare for this exam, and now I'm in the phase of "Did I pass or did I not pass" worries. As much as I'm glad that this exam is over with, I'm probably going to be on edge until I find out how I did this time around. And on top of that, right after taking the exam (which took 4 hours to complete), I needed to speak with my thesis adviser professor to present her the data that I currently have. So with very little time to relax, I have 2 weeks to complete the 1st draft of my 45+ page thesis. Seriously, these next 2 weeks are going to be hell!!! So yes, my apologies again for not being as active and as social as I like to. I promise once I have more free time, especially after I hopefully obtain my degree, I will be many many times more social both online and real life. I'm sorry grad school is keeping me an introvert!! X____X

Well, at least I'll be going out to Cheesecake Factory with the mate tonight for an unofficial Valentine's night (since ALOT of places in Boston are booked). Hopefully some fried food, alcohol, and dessert will keep my mind off of academics and onto the holiday spirit. Merry Valentine's Day you filthy animals......and a Happy President's Day too. -.-

After coming back from work, checking out what the score of the game is, and seeing another interception by the Seahawks a minute after I turned on the TV, all I gotta say is this.
