COMMISSIONS CLOSED / Yet Another New Job!
General | Posted 7 years agoAs of today, I'll be volunteering for the Eastleigh Twinning Association as a research and designer, gathering material and designing information boards to be used in a Twinning Exhibition at Eastleigh Museum scheduled for this September! Just like with dyspraxia, I never heard of "town twinning" until I stumbled upon this job. Thankfully, I'm a fast learner and this shouldn't be too different from my previous two jobs.
So, until the exhibition is fully prepared, I won't be open for art or music commissions for a long time. However, I'll still make time for personal paintings and music each month as promised.

2018 Review
General | Posted 7 years agoFor me and undoubtedly many more people, this year has been turbulent with both great triumphs and harsh setbacks.
In my case, ever since becoming a service user at the Eastleigh Wellbeing Centre, I've befriended a handful of compassionate people who suffered similar problems as me. And so, casting my shyness aside, I felt compelled to speak up and support them as they would do the same for me. I even engaged in conversation with my fellow service users during our meetings without being demanding or judgmental. For the first time in a while, I felt like I was part of a team with a cause.
Now I have become more conscious of my wellbeing than ever before and am almost ready to resume work. When the time comes, I may choose to volunteer for a humanitarian charity or organization which acts against bullying, discrimination and crime. However, if I am to take a stand against evil, hatred and ignorance, I'll need to know the roots of these destructive vices from the inside-out. After all, how can we change what we don't understand?

Plus Chienne Que Femme - Removal Notification
General | Posted 8 years agoI'd like to announce that, as of March 17th 2018, "Plus Chienne Que Femme - The Story" will no longer be available for reading until after "Incognitus Anthology I" (in which "Plus Chienne Que Femme" will appear) is published.
Having said that, I'm still open for art commissions but now have less slots available due to my change of schedule. As usual, first come, first served.

= ART COMMISSION GUIDELINES =
The final price of each commission depends on complexity, number of pages and choice of subject (e.g. head, torso, full body, logo, weapon, etc.) and all payments need to be made via PayPal. If you wish to commission me, please provide me with details (e.g. composition, subject matter, style, etc.) on how you would like your commission to turn out. This could be "a detailed torso sketch of my character smiling to him/herself" or "a rough sketch of an angelic shotgun blade." If you wish to include your own idea(s) and/or design(s) (e.g. characters, logos, objects, scenes, etc.), please provide me with reference material (e.g. notes, sketches, etc.).
After you give me enough details, I will create thumbnail sketches for said commission free of charge and send them to you for approval. If you approve of my thumbnails and would like to base your final commission on them, I will announce its final price. Then, you may decide whether to pay for your commission or cancel it. If you are not satisfied with my thumbnails, you may provide me with details on how you would like them improved. Please note that I will only do a maximum of three sets of thumbnails per client. If you are not satisfied with any of the thumbnails I provide you, the commission may as well be cancelled. Once I announce the final price, I will not start working on the final product until the payment is made. If no payment is made within a week, the commission will be automatically cancelled. Furthermore, if I struggle with a commission that has been paid for, I will fully refund the payment with no interest. Finally, if I am given a commission that violates my guidelines (i.e. no copyrighted infringement, no pornography and no hate art), I will simply refuse to undertake it.

COMMISSIONS CLOSED / Settled in Eastleigh
General | Posted 8 years agoIt's been more than two weeks since I moved into Boyatt Wood, Eastleigh. Now that I've gotten used to making my way around town, I can get back to writing, drawing, painting and music-making.
Right now, I'm working on a series of canvas paintings for Winchester University's upcoming Climate Change Multi-Media Exhibition (February 3rd 2018). Each exhibit of mine will be based on a certain song in the album "This Changes Everything" by the university's record label Splendid Fred. I'm already hooked to hearing their multi-layered album myself, so I recommend to buy it from iTunes and/or Amazon Music when you can.
In the meantime, I probably won't be available for commissions until Spring 2018.

COMMISSIONS CLOSED / Moving to Eastleigh
General | Posted 8 years agoThis year's Halloween could be my last in Locks Heath as I'm now preparing to move even closer to my family in Eastleigh. Therefore, my Halloween costume this year will be extra special with a papier-mache mask I painted with gesso and acrylics. Instead of my usual "Kuro Ronin" costume that I've donned for three Halloweens in a row (since 2014), I'm hoping to look the part of a Black Mage, complete with an obsidian wand and my butterfly mask.
But, in the meantime, my top priorities are securing a new home in Eastleigh, tidying my current home in Locks Heath and making my transition from home to home as smooth as possible.

ART COMMISSIONS RE-OPENING SOON...
General | Posted 8 years agoNow that my mental well-being has drastically recovered since the devastating reactive breakdown three weeks ago, I've pretty much returned to my usual daily routine. I've also decided to work with Xpert-SM a little longer (with lighter workloads) before I go looking for another job. Having said that, I should have more time to do art commissions too. As soon as my employer(s) respond and give me work to do, I'll see how many slots I can open.

General | Posted 8 years agoDue to a severe mental breakdown last night triggered by an unexpected complaint from a neighbor I never met until now, I'm afraid I must close all commission slots until I'm mentally fit for work again.
Long story short, throughout my entire first year of living in Locks Heath, no neighbor ever complained about me face-to-face until now. At first, I tried to calmly reason with him, but he refused to listen to me. I honestly felt threatened by him, so I cracked under pressure pleading for his understanding. It was only after I tearfully broke down outside my house that he seemed far less threatening.
Thankfully, this whole ordeal has quickly been resolved. Me and my neighbor apologized to each other and now I just need to focus on pulling myself together again.

(UPDATE) COMMISSION SLOTS REDUCED
General | Posted 9 years agoAlthough I'm no longer desperate (due to a change of plan regarding my dental care), I'm still open for all art commissions. As I currently have little free time right now, I only have room for two slots; first come, first served.

OPEN FOR SKETCH COMMISSIONS / Hello, Locks Heath!
General | Posted 9 years agoIt's been a week and a half since I moved out of Norton, Stockton-on-Tees and into Locks Heath, Fareham. And, thanks to the help and support from my family, I was able to settle in as if I've already lived here for months! Now that everything's set in my new house, I can continue my career as an author, artist, designer and composer in peace!
Having said that, I'm now open for sketch (i.e. rough and/or detailed) commissions again! At the moment, I only have room for three slots; first come, first served.

Legacy of Dr. Moreau - Possible Re-Publishing to Paperback
General | Posted 10 years agoBack in January 2014, I released a science fiction novelette titled "The Legacy of Dr. Moreau" (a pseudo-sequel to H.G. Wells' "The Island of Dr. Moreau") for Amazon Kindle. Due to abysmal sales caused by poor marketing and self-publishing, I removed it from the Kindle Store a year after its release.
Now, after looking up "Legacy of Dr. Moreau" on Google this afternoon, I learned that (one month after its removal on December 2014) some people expressed interest in downloading a copy.
With this in mind, I'm considering publishing "The Legacy of Dr. Moreau" to paperback once I move into Eastleigh and settle there. I'll just need to find a UK-based publisher this time around.

Not Open For Commissions, Trades or Requests
General | Posted 13 years agoIn case anyone else asks, I'm not open for commissions, trades or requests as I'm currently undergoing cognitive therapy and self-training to ensure that I don't mentally break down and get suspended at the beginning of my second year like last time.
And, right now, I'm not feeling entirely good about myself having done very little productive work over last week. I may have to set up an action plan for myself so that I know what to do over the next nine months.
