I have no art to submit (except for PILES AND PILES of traditional stuff) because my tablet is being wacky. I'm thinking of getting a new one, but it costs the $$. Hopefully after things settle down I can start doing masses of more pins and things. After comparing the little redbacked jumping spider that was climbing across my chair to King Kong, I decided to name him King. At the moment I have him in a jar with plastic wrap (has airholes, derp) over it. I put a moth and another leetle tiny spider in the jar with him.

Watching him make a web is really facinating. Thats what he's doing at the moment. Theres a nice little cobwebby thing inside. However, the moth and the little spider are still alive.

I figured it out, I did! Mainly cuz I found the spider dead in my room. While i'm not POSITIVE that this was the same spider that bit me, it most likely was, as I've seen several of these spiders around the house. They're real cute, actually. And really distinctive looking. A quick search of the internet and I found em.

A red backed jumping spider. Not to be confused with the red back spider, which is completely different.

This one here is a female. You can tell by the little black stripe. The one I'm looking at at the moment, alive on my ceiling (yeah, theres another one) is a male. And a real sweetie. He's clinging ot the vent, prolly cuz its hot around and the vent is cool.

Aaah, well that was fun.

Its seven o'clock at night. Its 104 degrees outside. The "low" tonight is 85 or something. We're having a 'relatively cool weekend' meaning 100-104 this weekend for a high. It was a high of 110 today. Apparently its been "an unusually cool summer."

....I dont understand this. We're at an even higher altatude than Las Vegas, meaning its cooler than Vegas where I live. BUT ITS STILL SO FREAKIN HOT ALL THE TIME. O.o

But...I will say this. 100 degrees in the desert is like 85 degrees in Minnesota or Kansas where its humid.

So far Rean, Nail, and myself are the only ones that have made an appearance in anything other than the title page. Like I said (besides the title page) i've only gotten two pages done. Anyone of you who knows me well knows that I really love spiders. Love. And her in Nevada, they have many spiders that I am not familiar with.

Well. I was laying in bed, about to go to sleep when I feel this strange little pain on my leg. I put my hand down to the spot and feel a...a...SOMETHING on my leg. So... I flung it across the room. After I got the courage to turn the light on, I couldn't find it. T__T So now I have absolutely NO IDEA which spider afforded me my first (waking) spider bite.

I've had spider bites before, but I was asleep when I got them and thus have never really actually felt what it FEELS like to be bitten by a spider. Its most unsettling. The spot on my leg was mildly irritating at first, which turned into slight burning, which turned into a weird sorta hard, hot, ache with a little center of stingyness. And it hurts rather badly. T__T I am bothered. Most unsettled, and ill at ease.

Not only can I not FIND the spider that decided i was delicious, it also felt rather large when I flung it away with my hand.

....Also, I feel slightly dizzy and cant decide if I should be worried or not.

Yeah...scrapped more stuff. Dood, I have SO MUCH STUFF in my scraps. But not all of it is horrible. A lot of it is pretty decent stuff and everything, i'm just trying to make my actual gallery look prettier. SCRAPZ. Also, mailed some more cards today, whee. <3
