For Volume 2, we are actually going to be seeing what happened to Raiser during his time in the Badlands.

Fair warning to those who are not into dark themes.

The main theme for Volume 2 is PTSD and how it can affect each person differently because each case of PTSD is unique in the experiences of those who have it.

There will be abuse. Mental and physical abuse. While I won't directly show it, there will be implications of sexual abuse too. Not many examples but there will be subtle (yes I wish to be subtle about this one at least) hints about that kind of abuse.

There will be a look into the mentality of characters such as Raiser, who is predominantly dealing with a harsh case of survivor's guilt. Anwokala, who has been slightly scarred about being abducted. Even some of Raiser's foes will have pasts that imply moderate and severe cases of PTSD.

But there is also a theme of hope. The overarching theme that seats itself on This Primal World's shoulders: hope lingers on.

In this case, the hope that things can be different. The hope that tomorrow will be brighter.

I think the story I have here will display not only an improvement in art. But also an improvement in writing, a field I know I can be better at. Well. Soon We will find out. Because I want to make this comic be the best it can be.

I have been learning a LOT about rigging and 3d modeling on Blender. Almost to a point where I will be able to finally show off something.

Other than that I have been doing commissions or looking for work.

Busy busy busy. Comic is also on its way, just trying to find more efficient ways to make it without sacrificing too much quality.

Also I have been playing a lot of Fallout. And I do mean a lot of it. IDK why but I had a massive itch to play those games. Damn near all of them.

Fallout 1, 2, 3, 4, New Vegas, Tactics, even the fucking mobile game. Its a phase. It will pass I am sure.

That said... Fallout 1 is like really good. Like REALLY good. Same for 2. 3 is good too. Same for Tactics. Fallout 4 is like a mixed bag what it does right it REALLY does right but it also has some huge misteps too. Still good though IMO. Nothing tops New Vegas though. Holy shit what an amazing game.

It's clear that upon reading earlier versions of my lore, I need to make an array of changes. Especially given that my game takes place 3,000 years before the events of This Primal World.

Expected changes to occur:

1. Revamp of Xiahwenite morphology and anatomy.
2. What time periods weapons and armor had been developed (VERY IMPORTANT since my game involves a lot of steel and iron weaponry which makes no sense at all with my current lore)
3. The Alivorja race needs to have a check up on what makes them so different compared to the other races, likely that their peach skin color is exclusive to them and they have short ears so as not to be confused with Kawekvorja.
4. Locations of places like Kul Kanaka need to be more consistent.
5. Law and Order in the Wild Frontiers and the civilized sectors like Prima Centralia.
6. Revamp on Dinosaur/Xiahwenite relations, specifically racism and where it is found on the planet, as well as new relations like marriage and the like.

Just a bunch of shit has happened in the past couple of weeks, mostly financially so my biggest focus right now is commissions, YCHs, and the like until I find more stable income through another job again. Lost my last one in December and have been focusing on making some money to tide me over til the next job appears. Thanks for your patience. I have been working on the comic alongside. Its just slow going.

I cannot stress how much the tooth needs to be pulled. It's been bleeding for a week and the dentist told me it's infected and unsaveable. So to entice anyone that wants one, my commission prices have been slashed in half. Full shaded commissions are now $40 instead of $80.

So that is the promo comic, friends. I have begun my first steps in making the Prince of the Badlands a fully fleshed out comic series. This will not be replacing This Primal World but TPW is on hiatus for the moment. Think of this as a filler arc.

I have been wanting to tell this story for a while now and I think that it is finally ready to be seen.

BUT TO THOSE OF YOU WHO READ THE WRITTEN VERSIONS OF THIS STORY, known as the Triumphs of Raiser, now this:

This comic book is a far FAR more fleshed out version of that story and SEVERAL things have changed since I made those pieces. For instance, some of you may have noticed a raven like bird that carries Raiser in the promo comic. I can tell you now that is the completely realized Icaria character. But those with good memory might have noticed that Icaria is female now and also not a pterosaur. Yup. Although she has a similar back story, I have completely revamped the character. She is part of a new race called the Shuovorja "windwalkers." They are a race of bird like creatures that come in many shapes and sizes.

You may have noticed that there are apes now too. Yep, they are the Kurukja "foresters." They are most closely resembling massive gorillas.

But most importantly, you may have noticed that Morughan and his brother Engy are no longer the only necromancers. There are now five necromancers: Morughan the leader, Engy the second in command, Morshalokja the tank, Xiheva the femme fatale, and Sashilvera the Black Knight who is at this point in the story Raiser's most dangerous enemy yet.

Anwokala is also a much more evolved character and will surprise many of you I am sure.

Along with this, there will be several segments that delve into Raiser's past. They will include things like how he met Jahzahvine, the death of his brother and how it affects his family, his time being a student under Allon, the first concert he ever saw Pip perform in, and of course a more in depth completely realized version of how his entire life was destroyed.

This Promo is going to be a short advertisement style comic for the project I've been working on.

The Prince of the Badlands.

While this might not be This Primal World, it is a story that takes place within it. This is a comic that will be made to explain how Raiser gained the title and the many things he has done that made him famous, even if he himself doesn't know he is.

The story itself, as far as the timeline for TPW is concerned, is between Chapters 4 and 5 of TPW. It is set two years before chapter 5 and three years into chapter 4s timeskip.

This means that Raiser is younger in this story than his current TPW version. He is nineteen years old in PotB.

Furthermore, the story will NOT be seeing my painting methods. I've come to realize just how fucking time consuming painting is when it comes to a comic book format. So I will be coming back with line art and cel shading. And I will be putting my best work into it.

Make no mistake, this comic is not a lazy filler arc or something. This story is both important to the context in TPW and will be featuring a story I feel has managed to mature into one that even surpasses This Primal World in terms of story telling currently. It is more focused and far more emotional.

I aim to make you people laugh, love, hate and cry and feel inspired or hopeful in this story.

I'll be showing its Chapter 1 date of release in the Promo. Anyway guys. Ciao!

So anyone that read those lore pieces... they're SORTA accurate still. At least in the sense of how those triumphs start. But there is a LOT more added into the story now. Lots of character development and new characters. I hope to show it at some point.

It's just been gnawing on me this entire time and I really don't want to continue the main story without there being context behind the things Raiser has done because they start becoming relevant VERY quickly.

Its a short clip but it will be featuring Salsut, Maguna and the blacksmith known as Xalidan. Stay tuned, as it were!

The reason I've yet to draw much is because I've been having CPU temp issues and now my GPU is giving me trouble. The fun never ends. I'll try to start working on stuff soon when I figure out what's wrong there.

Along with a page of This Primal World Chapter 13. Now that I can get back onto it.

The new lore is surprisingly not going to be about Prima.

It's actually about the humans that got to the Xiahwen system on a spacecraft called ARK-9, one of twelve ark style space shuttles escaping the destruction of Earth when it collides into a gas giant named Typhon. And it will primarily focus on how a man named Jian "Justin" Cheng prevented disaster from occurring and gave humanity a chance at finding a new home.

I think that will be fun.

And I was able to restore the files of the previous HDD into the new one. As far as I am concerned, the Sarge is fully capable now.

Later today, it will be likely that my new PC will be completely ready to take on the job of my old PC.

The specs of my new PC, the Sarge, are:

RAM: 16GB of DDR4 2400mhtz
Boot drive: Samsung SSD 960 (500GB storage, 3,500mb/s read speed)

Later on these will change to a NVIDIA RTX 3070, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, and a new Power Supply Unit that can support 700 watts.

For now, however, I am quite content with the new PC. It is approximately 54 times faster than my previous one and boots up in literally 11 seconds. My other PC took at least 2 minutes just to get to the login start page and another four or five to get anywhere after that.

My intent is to install a SSD boot drive and the new hard drive will handle the small shit.

Seriously. I don't think you could character assassinate Master Chief anymore than they have. I don't care if this is a new timeline. This timeline is so far removed from the core franchise and missing so many fundamental things that you may as well have made a new show.

This sounds like some writers generic sci fi and then they slapped Halo on the fucking thing.

Our (my friend and I) game is being worked on. The pixel art I have been posting is actually part of that. So far, we have him running around and jumping and the camera follows him on the test level. I have to animate his sprite though. Right now he is just a static image that is moving around in the Godot Engine.

Pages are coming though, don't you worry. I have just been kinda focusing on getting somewhere with this too. Its a delicate balance of working on two things you really want to make lmao.

I was using the pages from last year's sneak peek to trace and be quick with this but honestly I dont like what was going on. So I just said fuck it, I am gonna redraw this page and move on. Cuz this is taking too long.

So Ed Boon and I had a nice discussion last night and he wants Raiser in the next Mortal Kombat game. As per usual of guest characters, he wants Raiser to be amazing. I suggested a anti zoner archetype that has good rush down but poor wake up options to balance out his insane pressure. He told me that he would still have some good wake up options because there will be universal wake ups in MK12.

So yeah. Mortal Kombat 12 is going to be lit as fuck.
