I hope you guys enjoy the painting style
General | Posted 4 years agoCuz its staying. And you guys will see more tomorrow. I am surprisingly busy to finish what I wanted to do today but this weekend will definitely show off more to you guys, plus an extra page tomorrow.
This Primal World Chapter 13 Starts Tomorrow
General | Posted 4 years agoI was going to do it today but I fucking forgot to make a cover page so... I am gonna do that first...
I am quitting lined art from here on out.
General | Posted 4 years agoAs I continue to paint more, the more in love with it I am. Somehow, I feel as though painting has allowed me to prevent myself from stagnating in progress. Perhaps it was just the next logical step in growth. And grow, I have. I am no longer interested in lineart. I'd rather paint more.
Technical Difficulties
General | Posted 4 years agoSo like... I hated Raiser's hair. Its so spiky and honestly I want it to be wavy. It was never intended to be spiked hair. The mohawk is fine but the rest of the hair was... blegh.
Well I finally changed it to something I liked more. So now we are back on track.

If its not done by the 17th, I'll be releasing it anyway
General | Posted 4 years agoWhat I mean is that if March 17th comes and I am not done yet, I will be releasing it page by page until it is finished. I don't KNOW if I will be done by the 17th, but it is being worked on and it is not being cancelled. And it WILL be done by the end of March at the latest. I am ready to continue this story. But if it is not done by March 17th, I will be releasing what I had so far and then page by page, I will release the rest. I am not compromising this Chapter.
Anyone in the US siding with Putin is unamerican.
General | Posted 4 years agoAnd the fucking funny part? Its the fucking Republicans that seem to be doing this. They'd rather do nothing and even lift the sanctions on Russia than let them know we are not fucking around. They'd rather Ukraine be taken because "HoW mAnY cItIeS cAn YoU nAmE fRoM tHeRe?" (Yeah I am looking at you, Tucker Carlson, you fucking traitor.) This party that prides itself as being "patriotic" has been demonstrating some monstrous levels of unpatriotic behavior.
So to all the republican politicians and especially the fucking BONEHEAD Donald Trump, sorry daddy Russia has to get smacked around a bit to remember their fucking place. Maybe instead of finding funds from the Kremlin, you could try to find more decent sources of income, you fucking traitorous and manipulative subhuman garbage bags.

Putin is afraid I think.
General | Posted 4 years agoNot of us. I think he is legitimately afraid his own people are actually sick of his shit. His actions today show to me that he is wanting to try to unite them by acting as though they are under nuclear threat. He is running out of options.
Ukraine has managed to actually hold its own against Russia, which has surprised me. Like they are doing WAY better than I think anyone thought they would. To Putin's dismay, this looks very embarassing for him because it shows that Russia's military is not nearly as powerful as it seems it is. What he thought was going to be a swift victory has turned extremely bad for him. Sanctions are fucking destroying the ruble's value, his people are fucking pissed at him, Ukraine is full on defending itself against him, and now his country's might is being called into question.
I have to admit, I am quite surprised that Ukraine has managed to hold their own against him. More power to them. But let's make no mistake, Russia can take them down. It's just that Putin really underestimated how strong Ukraine's military was. As did I.

I am getting close to almost 200 watchers.
General | Posted 4 years agoI am unsure what to say about this other than thank you for everyone interested enough to look at my stuff and be notified when I draw something.
Once we do hit 200, I kinda want to do something like a raffle or a Q&A.
I think that would be fun.

Why LOTR is NOT a mythology
General | Posted 4 years agoI have been hearing that LOTR is a mythology about ancient English and northern European countries. Because Tolkien once stated he wanted to make one for England because it had very few to work with.
Here is the thing though: LOTR is not a mythology. It is a bonafide fantasy.
Mythologies have three things LOTR does not: they usually still involve the real world with maybe some parts being made up but generally they still take place in a real setting such as Greek mythology taking place... ancient Greece. Heracles didn't come from some made up country. He was born in Greece. Sure Olympus exist but that doesn't matter because that is where the gods are, not mortal people.
Second issue with the mythology argument: WE KNOW WHO MADE LOTR. For most mythologies, we actually don't know who started the mythology. And probably won't because a LOT of people contributed to mythologies especially in Greece. So its hard to determine who started the concept.
And the final issue: mythology is not something you can create. It is something that grows and becomes epic on its own. Until someone states that Aragorn fought Spider-Man and its totally considered canon despite any sources to really show that happened, its not a mythology. Mythology thrives on the contradictions and the uncertainties in the worlds created. Several times in Greek mythology, Dionysis is FAMOUS for having several backstories that completely change his character.
Sorry to Tolkien and his fans but Tolkien can't just create a mythology. What he did do is create one of the greatest fantasies that has ever been made before and set the standard for what fantasies are. But its not mythology. Its fantasy.

I hate the LOTR fanbase. Its full of whiny bitches
General | Posted 4 years agoSo Rings of Power showed a black female dwarf with sideburns and the LOTR fanbase has quite a few people going "THATS NOT LORE ACCURATE! WHERE IS HER FULL BEARD!!!!??? WHY IS SHE BLACK?????!!!!!!"
These are the same people that will tell you that Peter Jackson's movies are great because they stuck with the source material. This is where I know half the community didn't read the books.
BECAUSE JACKSON DIDN'T STICK TO THE LORE ALL THE TIME. IN FACT, BY NOT STICKING TO IT, HE MADE THE FRANCHISE BETTER!!!
Lets go ahead and talk about how this "HOLY GRAIL" of movies is different from the books and how Jackson literally made the story better by NOT sticking with canon, shall we?
First of all: Aragorn and Faramir
Aragorn and Faramir are not even remotely the same people they are in the books when we are talking about the Jackson movies. Aragorn has a problem with the fact that he is related to Isildur who is responisible for the One Ring not being destroyed in the first place. He has to come to terms with the fact that he is only Isildur's descendant and is nothing like Isildur himself. This makes Aragorn two things: relatable and deep. He is way more three dimensional in the movies than he is in the books. In the books, he was really raring to go to be the next king of Gondor. He even starts the journey with the Fellowship of the Ring wielding Anduril. He doesn't even get that sword until the RotK in the movies. I feel this actually made him a far better character.
Faramir straight up lets Frodo go in the books after a small conversation and discovering that Frodo has the Ring. In the movies, Faramir actually wants the ring so he can show his father that he is not a failure. It takes way more convincing to have him decide to not do that and let Frodo go. This shows two things as well: depth, and also makes him feel far more nobile. He was tempted by the ring and overcame it. In the books, he seemingly was unaffected by it. THIS IS A BIG PROBLEM CONSIDERING WHAT THE RING IS SUPPOSED TO DO TO MEN. It makes no sense that Faramir would be not be affected by this artifact. Again, movie version of Faramir makes more sense and the movies also don't undermine the Ring's allure.
Number 2: Arwen and Glorfindel
Anyone that has only seen the movies probably has no idea who Glorfindel is. That's fine. Let's just say he is a super elf that has killed a balrog and is so terrifying to the Witch King, the dude fled the instant Glorfindel even advanced on him.
Why is this important? Well who saved Frodo from the Wraiths in the movies? Arwen. Not only was this an attempt to not make LOTR a complete sausagefest, this also fixed one GLARING issue in the LOTR books. Because in the books, Glorfindel saves Frodo from the Wraiths. And then does NOT help them on their quest afterward. WHY THE FUCK WOULD GLORFINDEL, A DUDE WHO CAN KILL A MOTHERFUCKING BALROG, NOT HELP THE FELLOWSHIP IN DESTROYING THE ONE FUCKING RING??? Well, plot convenience. That is why. Some bullshit reason why Glorfindel couldn't help. Jackson made this better by not even having Glorfindel in the movies. Which was a correct choice.
I could go on about how Jackson made the franchise better but I digress. Point is, sticking one hundred percent to the lore is never a good thing. It makes it rigid.
Don't idolize your heroes too much. You'll become blind to their faults.

The Plan So Far
General | Posted 4 years agoSo I have made it no secret and will continue to not make it a secret that the mythical Chapter 13 is underway. Its being made as we speak and I just want to talk about a couple things for you guys to know.
1. I would definitely not expect a seventy or eighty page comic. The new chapter is fifty pages long. So it is a long chapter in a way. Matter of fact, the sneak peeks you have seen are there but not in the way you saw them. You'll know what I mean when you see the comic.
2. We have two new characters that are going to be introduced. One I have made no secret: Buravera. I think you guys are going to like him. He is 8'10'' and is 764 pounds of solid stupid. I am dead certain you guys are going to enjoy him. The other character is... a surprise. But I will let you know that she is a woman who also wields a greatsword like Raiser. In fact, she and Raiser are quite familiar with one another, despite never actually meeting.
Anyway guys, I think you are going to love it... I know you will. And as I usually say at the end of the chapters:
Amnia lan saba kulsho, Xiahwen.
Ciao, guys.
Addendum: No, I will not be showing ANY sneak peeks anymore. Infer what you will of the ones you have. The rest of this comic is going one hundred percent silent til March 17th, 2022

Songs I generally associate my characters with.
General | Posted 4 years agoIDK why but I just wanted to put down what I generally listen to when drawing my characters. Its dependant on who I am drawing. Anyway here it is.
Skar: StarFox Adventures OST: Galleon Fight
Salsut: (Normal) Keosz: They Took All I Had. (Unbound) Sonata Arctica: Wolf and Raven
Allon: Dinsoaur Planet OST: Thorntail Hollow
Ranen: Undertale OST: Asgore/Burgentruckung
Anappa: Avenged Sevenfold: Almost Easy
Emecs: Starfox Adventures OST: Darkice Mines Waterfall
Raiser: (Normal): My Hero Academia OST: Hero A Theme. (Unbound): Jupiter Sound (not a song, just the electromagnetic noise the actual planet Jupiter makes)
Andesine: Imogen Heap: Tidal
Keveranu: Final Fantasy X OST: Prelude
Jahzahvine: Garbage: As Heaven Is Wide
Pip: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze OST: Stickerbrush Symphony
Buravera: Doom Eternal OST: The Only Thing They Fear Is You
And those are generally the characters I draw the most. So those are the songs I listen to while drawing them. Or I have as starting songs.

This Primal World Volume 2 gets an official name
General | Posted 4 years agoThis Primal World Volume 2: The Julanil Arc
We are going from 0 to 88mph on this one and believe me when I say "When this baby hits 88 miles per hour... you're gonna see some serious shit."
If it has not been stated before, the last 12 chapters are called the Innocence Lost arc. They represent Volume One. Volume Two will be twelve chapters long as well.
Its getting closer fellas.
Ciao for now.

It's a super franchise bargain sale!
General | Posted 4 years agoMicrosoft bought Activision, Sony bought Bungie in response. Probably would have tried buying From Software too but hey you know, there's that at least.
And Nintendo still doesn't give a fuck.

I missed my own anniversary for my comic...
General | Posted 4 years agoI was so slammed with moving my roommates stuff out and rearranging the house that I legit forgot my comics anniversary. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little more than pissed about this. I wanted to do at least something but nope. Nothing.
Predictability is not a bad thing.
General | Posted 4 years agoThis is something I have had to come to realize a while back because one thing I did not want in my writing is to be predictable.
BUT.
Being unpredictable is not necessarily a good thing. In fact, it often does happen to be a bad thing. Doing something unexpected for the sake of being unexpected is usually a very bad idea in terms of writing. At least when it comes to very serious moments in a story. Something unexpected that has no real impact on the story, say something like a joke when a villain is talking and they lose track of what they were saying because they feel embarassed or just confused, is completely fine. Again, if the moment is not meant to keep a specific tone. Don't throw a joke at a villain when they have just defeated the hero and are about to succeed in their goal. That is a tone that generally requires the moment to be taken seriously.
Likewise, DON'T FUCKING CHANGE SOMETHING LAST MINUTE JUST BECAUSE YOUR AUDIENCE HAS PREDICTED A THING WAS GONNA HAPPEN DUE TO YOU SPENDING A LONG TIME IMPLYING THIS THING IS GOING TO HAPPEN IN A SPECIFIC WAY. (looks at Game of Thrones Arya Stark defeating the Night King instead of Jon, one of the many issues GoT had in the final season)
Just because your audience knows what is about to happen does not mean it is bad writing. In fact, you generally are doing a good job if your audience can piece together what is going on and what is going to happen. That is a very good thing. The last thing you want is your audience not knowing anything about what is going on. So... don't do that.

The Clap Back
General | Posted 4 years agoI've been working on TPW pages every day for the past few days. I'm feeling pretty good about everything right now. So I'm gonna keep this momentum up and continue doing this.
Been a while hasn't it? I thought I'd be able to do something by Valentine's day but shit happened and I was just not in a good head space for the past couple of years. But that's been dealt with. I'm a new person now.
A person that wants to continue doing what to he likes doing: making stuff.
The anniversary for TPW is on the 16th. I... Don't have any plans to release the chapter by then. And I don't intend to tell you guys when it comes out. I'm tired of missing deadlines. This chapter is not getting rushed for any reason but you guys might get another multiple page sneak peek of TPW chapter 13 on the 16th.
Anyway, I was getting clapped by 2020 and 2021. It's time for me to bring it back to them with the clap back.
Ciao guys.

That Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Movie...
General | Posted 4 years agoIs gonna be the most lit shit I have ever seen in a video game adaptation movie.
Idris Elba fucking killed it with Knuckles's voice and that reveal of Knuckles was fucking awesome. Knuckles is back to being a badass, bitches. And I am hyped as fuck for it.

Commissions are open again
General | Posted 4 years agoYeah just looking to make some gas money and get some groceries. But same as usual, if you want an NSFW pic, it will be $60 and you need to verify that you are above 18 years old. (Unless I already know you are above the age.)
Otherwise it's fifty bucks baseline. That will allow two characters to be in the same picture. Any extra characters will be an extra $10 per character.
Comics are $50 per page.

Tyrone... you are still missed to this day.
General | Posted 4 years agoToday marks seven years since the death of a friend of mine. Tyrone. You were the real Chad of us all. The life of the party. Always smiling and accepting of all. You were one of few people who I could never get mad at. With the strength you had, I find it a cruel irony that fate took your first from us. Because I always thought you would be the last of us to go. That is how strong you were. But man can only be so strong when fate calls to him. Your death affected me and all who knew you.
You were the greatest of all of us and what all men should strive to be like. I wish I had gotten to spend more time with you. My only hope is that you are in heaven and watching your friends build their projects. I remember the promise I made to you a while back. That project is still happening. You will be remembered in it. It has your DNA in it. Because you will always be my god of chaos.
Rest in peace, Tyrone, greatest of all men.

Comes as no surprise but yes I am bisexual
General | Posted 4 years agoAfter about a year of studying what I find as turn ons and offs, I must conclude that I am most certainly bisexual. I do like men and I do like women. I think I like women more in general still but the honest truth is that if I find a man who is ideal both in mind and body to me, I probably would prefer him over even my ideal woman.
So yeah. That's a thing.
So yeah. That's a thing.
I'm sorry guys. This might be another year of no TPW.
General | Posted 4 years agoAs soon as I am done with my commissions, I am going to be getting a second job and focus on that wholly. I need money to move back to California and I am gonna need to get it in a couple months. I'm trying to save up $4000 and I only have about $400 saved. So yeah. Gonna be doing a LOT of that through November and most of December. I wanted to make an October release but it's... Looking quite likely I won't be able to make one at all.
But it's a hard decision. And ive decided I need to look out for myself first. Anyway. I'm gonna work on it when I have the time.
Just don't know if I will. But yeah. Ciao.
