Personal + $5 Sketches
Posted 7 months agoI don't like making really personal journals, but I am kind of drowning right now. The closest person in the world to me passed away a few months ago and it's been a real struggle.
Art has fallen to the wayside, which is a real problem since it's what I did for money. I ended up needing to cancel some prospects and projects that were going to be my income.
I still can't really sculpt, so I am not even going to think about that right now. I am currently trying to just get a sub teaching position, but I have to wait on a couple of things.
I am in a real bind when it comes to finances, since I have not been functioning well. My family is a huge help, but I can't let myself become a burden to them. I have to do something, now.
What I can offer are sketches. I know I can actually get those done. Anything you want, headshots, busts, full body, I don't care. Send me a ref and I will draw it same day.
$5 for a single sketch: Example
$10 for a random sketch page: Example
I take PayPal or Venmo. Note me.
Mature/gore is fine. I still don't do adult content.
Literally anything will help right now. Not just dollar-wise, I want to ease myself back into art, too. Something about staying busy or whatever.
I think this is a good way to do it, since I can't manage to make anything for myself/enjoyment at the moment. Doing things for others gives me better direction.

Updated 2024
Commission prices!
If you just want a price quote for future reference, feel free to note me :)
7 inch standard sculptures
Painted $500+ depending on character difficulty/complexity.
Unpainted $400+ depending on character difficulty/complexity.
Detailed sculptures are just that, very detailed. I work in fur details as well as muscle structure, teeth, eyes, etc. I make them as accurate to your character or request as I am able.

3-4 inch sculptures
Painted $250+ depending on character complexity.
Unpainted $200+ depending on character complexity.
Smaller than the 7 inch sculptures but still retaining a lot of detail.
Example, Example, Example, Example, Example, Example, Example, Example
Any sculpture larger than 7 inches
Price starts at the 7in and goes up per inch. As the sculpture gets bigger, it takes more clay, details, time, etc. So with every inch the price doubles. One extra inch is $10, 2 inches $20, 3 inches $40, 4 inches $80 and so on.
Misc
I am totally open to taking on sculptures that for some reason or another, do not fall into the above categories. Such as chibi, smaller than 3 inches, minimal detail, etc.
Prices obviously vary with those and will be determined once all the information of the sculpture is gathered.
Sizing
Please understand that the height of the sculpture changes depending on position. A 7" anthro sculpture will have a 7" tall armature or "skeleton".
If the position of the sculpture is sitting, it will not be 7" in height. But if it were to stand up, it would reach 7". If it is feral, I measure the body length, nose to base of tail, instead of height.
Payment
I only accept USD via Paypal. In order for me to begin the sculpture I require a down payment. That amount will be determined by me depending on the overall cost of the sculpture. I will send an invoice with the full price of the sculpture and an option to pay in installments. After the initial down payment, you will be able to pay more installments at your own convenience.
I will not bake a sculpture until I am paid in full. Please do not commission me unless you are able to pay for the artwork within the time I am able to sculpt it in.
Complexity
Sculpture prices will go up if your character or request is very complex. What I deem complex is entirely up to me and not up for debate.
Such things are, but not limited to, wings, clothing, extra appendages, hair, position, markings, etc.
What I choose to charge extra for complex items is based on how much extra time I will be spending on it. Prices vary depending on the size of the sculpture.
What I will and will not sculpt
I offer pg to mature artwork. Blood and nudity are not an issue. I do not, however, offer adult or pornographic sculptures.
If that is what you want, you will be turned away unless you are willing to compromise!
Turnaround time
Time for completing sculptures varies. It largely depends on the size and complexity of the commission, as well as how many other commissions I am currently working on. You will also be given regular updates on the status of your sculpture. The overall completion time relies on how quickly you reply to updates and approve the progress.

Terms Of Service
Posted 12 years agoEdited to change sculpting material.
My ToS is subject to change at any time. It is your responsibility to read and remain aware of the changes.
Before commissioning me you are required to read my terms of service. I am not held responsible for any misunderstandings you may have about product materials, shipping rules or damaged goods.
I reserve the right to deny any commission for any reason I deem fit.
How I Work
Upon commissioning me, I request everything I need to know be provided in a note or email. I am not responsible for any details left out by the commissioner. I will then provide a photo of a rough sculpt to make sure we agree on the position/anatomy. If anything at that time has been left out or needs to be altered, I will make the needed changes. I will not change the entire sculpture unless I got it wrong. If the commissioner changes their mind about what they want after I have roughly sculpted it out, I am not going to change it unless it is reasonable. Once the artwork progresses past that stage, positions and details will not be altered any further. Once the artwork is complete, there will be NO changes to it unless I am the one at fault.
So try to not leave out any details! One or two detail tweaks are fine if they were forgotten in the initial communication, but please remember I have other commissions as well as yours and having everything I need to know up front works best and helps everything go faster.
If the commissioner insists on being unreasonable with their requests or demands I hold every right to drop the commission.
Materials Used
All of my sculptures are made with wire armatures or "skeletons" with foil and clay over it. I use CosClay. It is a polymer based clay that allows the sculpture to remain flexible even once it's completed, greatly reducing any chance of it breaking when being handled, dropped or shipped. I paint with water based acrylics. Due to mixing my own paint, colors may not line up 100% with the character, but I do my best to get as close to it as possible. Once the sculpture is painted, I use a clear matte varnish to protect the paint.
Damage Responsibility
I only sculpt and paint the sculptures, once the product is shipped, it is out of my hands. Therefore, I am not responsible for any damage or loss that may be caused by the postal service. I offer a delivery confirmation number as proof that I have sent the item, I insure it as well upon request. I am not responsible for any package that does not arrive. By commissioning me, you understand my sculptures are not toys and can break if handled as a toy or too roughly. I am not responsible for any chips or breaks your sculpture receives from anything that happens to it while it is out of my custody.
Refunds
I offer full refunds if I cannot, for unseen reasons, complete the commissioned piece.
I am not responsible if the commissioned piece takes longer than the time I estimated due to the commissioner not paying or being difficult. That does not warrant a refund.
-Requested Refunds-
The amount of the requested refund depends heavily upon how much work I have already done and what has already been paid.
If the sculpture has not been started, a full refund, or the full price of what has been deposited, may be provided.
A full refund, or the full price of what has been deposited, minus $15 will be given if the sculpture is under 25% complete.
If the sculpture is over 25% complete the commissioner will receive half of the commissioned price, unless half of the commissioned price has not already been paid, if so, there will be no refund.
If the sculpture is over 50% complete, there will be no refund.
