For nearly ten years i'm organizing a New Years party now.
First it took place in my house, after we reached 80 people we moved to the ringberg Hotel and now its time to move on again :)

This year my new years party will take place in the same Castle where we had our wedding this year.

Eurofurence is getting closer fast and slowly everything comes together.

I started later with organizing this year because of my wedding so things got a little hectic.

Besides my main job as the vice chair and hotel relations i'm also responsible for the convention T-Shirt and the sponsors or supersponsors gifts.

This year we tryed something new with the T-Shirt.
I wanted something special, something that does not scream "I'm a furry fan" right away.
I like colorful convention shirts but i must admit that i don't wear them in my normal life.
So we will see if our guests will like this years shirts :)

Same with the sponsors gifts, with so many cons around it gets harder and harder to find something special.
I went a totally diffeent way too. I found gifts that feel precious and you can't buy them at all, they're unique and useful somehow :P
Also i went for something made in germany with a connection to the convention theme which is Romans.

So if you buy a shirt at eurofurence or get one of the gifts, let me know if you like them :)

I always tryed to avoid that contest, now poor Hydrox is trapped in there :P

It still makes no sense for me, there are so many beautiful suits ou there, there is no number one or such.
Go out there, tell fursuiters that you really like the suit, it will make them happy but don't make a contest out of everything :)

After a long but pleasant flight we arrived at the Westin hotel.
Its nice to be back in the us :)
Today we will spend most of the day in a mall and be back at the con in the early afternoon.

Thigs go slowly back to normal right now after the wedding.

I just want to thank everybody for the nice whishes and notes, you all rock :)

I first thought that not much will change, Tani and i planed to stay together anyway and it felt really good.
But there is a big difference when you say "My wife" instead of "My girlfriend", and it feels different too in a very good and secure way :)

So if you are unsure if you should marry the one you love or not........do it! :)


We are already back in the flow of preparing our convention schedule.

Tomorrow me and Tani will get married in the majors building.
I'm happy and really looking forward to it, in fact i have never been so sure about a thing in my life :)

At this point i want to thank you all for your support and nice wishes over the last months since i proposed to her.
We really do care for our friends and it means a lot to us to be a part of this fandom.

Midfur in January was a blast and it already feels so far away in the past :P
It was geat to meet so many nice people that we can now call friends :)

Right now Tani and i are very busy with planing our wedding, this is also the reason why we are so quiet lately.
Luckily we know how to organize an event but still, a wedding is kinda new for us ;)

Also the close it gets the more you realize what will happen :)
I have never been so sure about a thing in my life and asking Tani to marry me was the best think that ever happend to me. She is just a wonderful Schnolf.

Had a great new years party in the netherlands with our friends :)
Now we just drove home to get ready for leaving to Frankfurt airport.
Midfur, here we come.

Since i joined the furry fandom in 1999 my life turned upside down, in a good way.
I'm so thankful for meeting those wonderful friends that i call family now, for seeing all this creativity and crazyness.
For me it would be impossible to go back to a "normal life".

People who know me know that i'm very straight forward and pretty self confident about the things i do.
But well, even i can be afraid and unsure..........

Meeting Tani changed my life forever from the first moment i saw her at EF7.
I could have never imagined that i would talk with her or that i could call her a friend.

But that happend and the friendship between us was always very special to me.

After many wonderful and crazy years we both ended up as singles, she was the one who dared to ask me if i could imagine a relationship with her.
From this moment on it was clear for me that i would be very stupid if i ever let her go again.

Tani is the most wonderful, loving Schnolf with a heart of gold, and i still don't know why she choosed me :)

I bought a ring for her months ago, carrying it around with me, waiting for the perfect moment.
It was not planed that i will propose to her at Eurofurence but that night she was just very happy and in the perfect mood.

Thanks a million times to BigBlueFox who told me in that moment "DO IT" when i was still thinking if i should.

Well, what can i say....... Tani said yes and made me the happiest fox in the world.
It still feels unreal and i shiver when i see the video.

Thank you Tani for always being there for me, for your strength and trust.

Confuzzeld is getting closer and i cant wait to be back in the UK again.
Had a blast last year and this time even more furrys from germany are coming along.

I also love the theme for this year.

Since Nightfox was with my at FCN i decided to bring along Hydrox.

We arrived back home in germany today after 21 hours traveling time.
From Las Vegas to Philadelphia (where i managed to grab a fresh made Philly Cheese Steak at the airport), to Zurich and then back to Düsseldorf.

Right now i have to fight the jetlag since i have to work again tomorrow moring but well, was really worth it.

I'm really looking forward to FCN in Detroit.
I hear only good things about the con and the videos on youtube speak for themself.
The staff is really helpful and friendly and i can't wait to meet all of them in person.

I miss fursuiting so much, dancing and chatting with friend in the hotel bar...oO I hope they have Jägermeister there)

After the con we will have a little adventure.
TaniDReal and i are traveling along with 5 close friends (they are our family) and right after the convention we grab two rental cars and drive to Chicago to pic up one of those:

We start in Chicago and all we know is that our flight back to germany leaves two weeks later......from Las Vegas.
Plan is to stop in Denver to see the zoo and a wolfpark south of the city. Also Bryce, Zion and Monument Valley and after so much nature campfires and steaks we can spend all the money thats left in Vegas :P

I simply love this way of vaccation.........my life is about planing, tight scheudles at work, planing for Eurofurence and such.........so two weeks without knowing what will happen is like a dream, i need that to free my mind.

Ok, after a great new years parts its time to think about 2011.

Tani and i finished our holiday plans and well, we will use all our holidays for 2011 for Furry Conventions. :P

Furry Connection North:
Tani is invited as guest of honor. it will be my first time in the Detroit area and i'm really looking forward to it. We will be traveling in a group of 7 friends and after the con we will do our roadtrip to Las Vegas. http://www.furryconnectionnorth.com/

Anthrocon
AC got me the first time i went there. 4200 furrys in a convention center?! Holy shit and it still feels like a cozy family meeting. I love the dances there, the light and laser show is amazing. And its really well organized, something that us germans love ;) Also the dealers den and artshow is pure fun because of the space. http://www.anthrocon.org

Eurofurence
Everyone was so afraid of the new hotel and it turned out so great, the city loves us and we got the best press ever. I'm working for EF for 11 years now and i still love it.
